It was a small group that was currently moving through the shadows of Sulburri in the middle of the night. Of the four of them there was one woman in the group and with her small frame she was bracing one of the men, while the second man, a giant one with an eye patch, was carrying the third. They were heading as quickly as they could toward where a healer was located. They had to seek out one that wouldn't be the first person that Muata went to. They wanted to get the two patients to said healer, to get their wounds looked over, and make sure that the two of them would be alright. The big man, Deminis, shifted the one in his arms so that he could lift a hand to knock on the door.

As they waited for the one inside to emerge Deminis looked toward Incanthis and murmured, "Are you alright, Incanthis?" Turning to look over at the one that was being braced he murmured, "What about you Tiren? Will you be able to stay on your feel a little longer? At least until the healer arrives."

Incanthis opened one eye, the other swollen at the moment, and gave the best smile he could, "I'm really alright, Deminis, I think I could even walk on my own." He said this, but wasn't sure if that were the truth. Muata didn't care for Incanthis going against his orders, and when those orders had been ignored the man hadn't held back. It left him quite roughed up, not to mention at the time shackled so that he couldn't escape. Incanthis was certain that it was where he was going to stay... at least until Lamya and Deminis came to his rescue. Lamya had gotten her hands on the keys, Deminis had wrapped him in a cloak, and the lot of them had slipped away along with Tiren.

From what he gathered the whole group that served Muata had all vanished in a moment, leaving the man alone. They had all been loyal but the man snapping as he had caused the group to shatter... and here a fraction of them were. Deminis and Lamya chose to stay behind and see to those too injured to leave on their own. Once they were tended to they would leave we well, but for now they needed the help of a healer.

Abie folded up the blanket as his twin put a few bowls away. They were assisting their Mentor's Aunt, an elderly healer who had a wicked aim with her cane. As Abie put the cloth in the drawer he heard the knock. Being as he was closest he glanced to his twin, unsure. The two were still somewhat trapped by their servant mentality. Abie looked around for the Healer to seek her permission to open the door...off in the back a female's voice barked out.

"OPEN IT LAD! THE WOUNDED OR SICKLY WON'T HEAL THEMSELVES. I'LL BE OUT ONCE THIS POTION FINISHES!!!" Abie rolled his eyes at the elders words. Opening the door to the Oban male gave him a shock, but then he mentally chided himself for the reaction. They were in Oba, of course the patient would be a Oban. Aqio's smooth voice glossed over his twin.

"Enter. The healer is in the back at the moment. We're assisting her today. I am Aqio, the one before you is Abie. Apologies if we're not what you expected. There are beds ready for those in need." The smaller male said as he fluffed the pillows of said beds. Abie took a few steps back, his head inclined as he kept mute. Aqio picked up on his brother's unease. Abie was still skittish around new Oban's...especially Males. Turning he gave a small bow. "I assure you, my brother and I can tend to them to the point their comfortable."

Incanthis gave a bit of a jolt of surpriise when he heard a familiar voice, that of a Water Tribesman that he had met a short while ago. It felt like forever ago after everything that had happened but it hadn't been that long. Strange that they would end up finding the pair when they were seeking a healer... he hadn't know that they were helping out in such a way. It was lucky, which was odd to think about. Mostly because he wasn't one that thought that he had any luck left, or really that he'd been born with that much of it. It was kind of a nice change of pace he thought as they all went inside, with Deminis looking both ways before closing the door.

"We are willing pay extra if you can lock up for the night and make it seem as though the place it closed." Deminis said, digging into his pocket to produce a fat pouch of coins, tossing them to one of the two Matori. That done he walked over to the bed that they were preparing, easing Incanthis down to sit there. Once he'd done so he moved to aid Lamya in getting Tiren to a bed as well, helping him to lay down since he was still feverish.

Lifting his hands to his hood Incanthis hesitated for a moment, drew in a breath, then let it out slowly as he pulled it back. He hated that he was being seen in such a condition, but what else could he do at this point? He gave the twins a momentary look through his good eye, then turned his attention to Tiren, "His arm is pretty bad off, I did what I could but... it's not good. At this point it might be better for him to have it removed, the infection is so bad. It's up to the healer though." He and Tiren had already talked about it and the man knew that an arm wasn't worth as much as his life, but really it was up to the one in charge of this place and her expertise. Incanthis had done all that he was able to do with his own abilities after all. His attention then went from Tiren to the floor, unable to look toward Abie or Aqio at the moment.

Aqio took the pouch and nodded to his brother. "Abie is getting the healer, we can't do anything without her say..." he glanced to Incanthis his mind blank before he clicked his tongue. "Its a pleasure to finally meet you Incanthis. Abie spoke of you with excitement. I had hoped to meet you on better terms."

Abie didn't speak until he got to the back of the small shop. "Auntie...there's three Obans and a Shifter here. One of the Oban's looks to be heavily wounded on his arm." the youth muttered to the elderly woman as she led him back to the front. Her crystals were bright despite her age, her hair streaked with gray as she looked over the two. Her aged voice creaked out.

"Alright lads, close up the windows. I know this lot and I'm not one for making that hardheaded youngin' angry at me." she said as she gathered a few things as the twins swept around the front closing up windows and locking the door. "As for that arm, I can save it. Though you'll have to allow the Water Lad here to hold you. I won't save the arm of one who'll block the progression of peace around here." she waved Aqio over to Tiren. The youth waiting to hear the male's words before he would get closer.

Abie went to Incanthis' side. "Hi again...ah. Auntie---"

"Get the elixir water on those bruises. You know what to do...I make you do it all the time when your foolishness gets you hurt." she grumbled. Abie smiled as he walked over to a cauldron, Scooping up the water in a bowl he grabbed a rag and whetted it. Returning to Incanthis' side he started to gently wash the visiable wounds.

"It's nice to see you too, your brother spoke highly of you." A shame that the first time that he was meeting with Aqio that he had to look like such a mess but that was just the way of things it seemed. He should be happy that he was able to get out of that situation with just a beating he thought to himself, though still felt quite embarrassed to be seen like this by those that he knew. Still, Deminis swore by this place, said it was a place with discreet workers, so it was the best place for them to go. Muata would be less likely to find them here or so Incanthis hoped.

Turning to look toward the woman that arrived he gave the best smile that he could muster, glad when she said that she was going to be able to save Tiren's arm. It had been something beyond his abilities but it seemed that she was a woman of many years and therefore likely had power that Incanthis could only dream of at the moment. Able to relax one, his fear for Tiren easing off, he turned his attention to Abie, giving him a little nod. If it was embarrassing and awkward to meet with Aqio he found it was tenfold meeting with Abie again. Something that had his head bowing a bit, his silver skin coloring from a bright blush where he wasn't bruised up, "Hello Abie."

Tiren looked toward the woman who was in charge of the hospital, giving the 'water lad' a glance, before he gave a bit of a laugh, a labored one given the fever and pain, and said, "I will do anything the 'water lad' wants me to do if it means me getting back on my feet again." He murmured, finding his own joke funny even if Deminis and Lamya gave a roll of their eyes at it.

Aqio walked to the Oban's side with the ghost of a smile as he slipped behind Tiren. The youth slid one arm around the male's collar bone as the other gently lifted the arm for the Healer to examine. As he did so the youth muttered to the male. "I apologize for the odd hold, but it helps to offer you comfort as well as giving her room. If you wish I'll back off once she's done..."

The Healer started. It was grueling, sickening to watch and painful. But she was doing her job and well at it.

Abie on the other hand was washing the last of the bruises. "There. That'll do for today. Tomorrow if their still bad looking I'll wash them again." He wasn't going to ask why the other was messed up. He assumed it had to do with a horrid Master. His hand ghosted over a corner of his eye, under the face paint that he applied everyday were scars given to him for just breathing. It nearly cost him his sight, but thanks to Auntie he regained it and was better than ever.

Incanthis gave a nod of his head, "I will be alright, I know I look like... well, this, but I am made of stronger stuff." Muata wasn't the first violent Oban that he'd dealt with in his life after all and he somehow doubted that the man would the last either. They were a terrifying race, but here was to hoping that others behaved better then Muata when it came to the various laws that had been put into effect since the end of the war. Giving the best smile he could he said, "Thank you for the help though, Abie, it was very kind of you." As well as being more then he could have asked for. He was a kindhearted sort, wasn't he? The sort that the world needed more of these days.

Pushing to his feet he lifted a hand, patting it gently against Abie's shoulder before taking a couple steps forward so that he could get a look at what the healer was doing. After a moment of watching he looked to Aqio, "Thank you for your aid, Aqio, it means a lot to me." While Incanthis might not care for Muata he did care about Tiren and the others, they had gone out of their way to help him and he knew that meant that he might need to do the same for them when the time came.

Tiren looked up at the moment that was holding him, giving him a grin, though one that might be a bit lopsided given that his fever was leaving him a bit out of it. He glanced at Incanthis, then back to Aqio, finding that he'd much rather focus on Aqio's face then Incanthis's direction if only because if he looked in that way it let him see what the old healer was doing. Bad enough that he had to feel it, he really didn't want to see it as well, "It's fine, this isn't so bad." He said, reaching up with his good arm to pat Aqio on the head. He was barely able to do that before the healer tweaked something in his arm that drew a hiss of pain from him, causing him to cling onto Aqio to help ward off the pain.

"Sorry... don't mean to be a clingy..." He muttered between his teeth even though there was very little he could do about it at this point.

The twins looked at one another once. Exchanging equal looks of worry and such before focusing on their assigned charges. Abie was at Incanthis' side, one hand raised slightly in case the Shifter felt a sudden weakness. Incanthis looked a little older than Abie, but the Water male wasn't looking at that he was looking at how worn the other was. He didn't like that...he wanted to keep Incanthis there where he was safe. He would have to ask Auntie when she was done...right now.

The old healer wasn't focused on anyone or anything save for Tiren and his current issue. As she neared the last leg she spoke out. "Yer gonna want to hold fast to little Aqio there warrior. Last little bit I need to clear out...."

Aqio held Tiren, his slender fram easily swallowed by the other males broad back. He didn't mind. "Keep clinging. If it helps you relax..." he smiled gently. Then glanced to Incanthis. "Its no issue for me at all...we help out here for a reason."

With the help of Abie who was at his side, aiding him, making sure that he wouldn't tip over. He wanted to think that he would be fine on his own, but he wasn't positive of that. Lifting his hand up Incanthis rested it on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze, "Thank you, Abie, I appreciate the help. I want to be strong but I know that I could tip over at any moment, never a good thing." It was odd, now that he was somewhere safe and his wounds had been tended to, he felt... exhausted. He couldn't rest though, not yet, not until he knew that Tiren was going to be alright. The older woman seemed to be working miracles on the man's infected wounds, something that awed Incanthis greatly.

"She's quite amazing, isn't she? I don't think I can thank the three of you enough for all you've done for Tiren to this point." They'd help him as well but Incanthis wasn't as concerned for himself as he was for Tiren.

Tiren glanced toward Incanthis, as well as the others from the group he was traveling with, before he let his eyes close. Giving a bit of a lopsided smile, "I will do my best." He murmured, holding onto Aqio still, to keep himself steady. There was a part of him, a bit part, that had been more then a little afraid over the idea that he might lose an arm... but it seemed as though he might find himself lucky. Once his wounds were healed he meant to sleep for a week. Provided of course that Incanthis was alright as well. He didn't think he'd be able to sleep until he knew that for certain.

It didn't take long for the twins to both settle into different positions as the elderly healer worked. Abie had pulled Incanthis into his lap as he leaned against the headboard. Making sure the shifter could see his friend's progress. Abie himself had taken to just falling into a sort of half aware contentment at feeling Incanthis near him. He blinked as he looked down at the shifter. "You ready to get looked at next?"

Aqio on the other hand had reclined back as he hummed soothingly to the wounded male. He glanced down at the arm only once, a look of sympathy crossed his features before he nuzzled the Oban. He let his hair fall to block some of Tiren's view that way the male could slip into comfort a bit easier.

The elder healer was nearly done with her task when she blinked, looked up and promptly reached out to pull a thread out of Aqio's shawl. She used that to thread something together and then leaned back. "Well...that took less time than I thought. The healer who saw to you before I, has great talent. Lots of care and concern for your well being was placed there...now then..." she turned to Incanthis. "Your turn."

Incanthis's entire body went rather striff as he was pulled backwards to sit on Abie's lap, his heart thudding painfully in his chest. He had to squeeze his eyes closed then, telling himself that it was going to be alright, that it was just Abie, and that Abie wasn't... well, any of those that had caused him harm in the past. After a moment of convincing himself mentally that he was alright, not just because Abie was trying to help but also because he had allies nearby, he opened his eyes again, "I... suppose I am? I was more worried about Tiren then myself." He said in a hushed tone of voice. Now that the Oban with the bad arm had been tended to it was only natural that they would want to see to him next even though what he'd gone through wasn't nearly as bad by comparison.

He glance dtoward where Tiren was laying, able to tell by his breathing that he was starting to slip into deep, restful sleep, something that he really needed. He gave a bit of a smile before looking over to the elderly woman who was praising the healer that had seen to Tiren. He said nothing though, feeling that what he'd done hadn't been nearly enough. He'd been certain that Tiren was going to lose his arm after all but this woman was able to fix it, to save it, and that showed that Incanthis's own skills were that of a child.

Turning to the woman he gave a nod, "My turn, though please don't push yourself, you already did so much for Tiren."

We can time skip a few hours or whatever you feel up to.

The elderly healer walked over and gently flicked Incanthis' forehead. Blinking at the stones placement she paused for a heartbeat. "Don't undervalue yourself. That's the first thing a Healer learns, every life. No matter the situation. Is worth it. Your just as important as he was. He was just in more need at the moment."

With that she went about her task of overlooking Incanthis. Glancing behind him to Abie every once in a while she smiled. "He's asleep behind ya. Boy doesn't rest often enough in my mind, don't mind him. He's harmless." she said patting Incanthis' shoulder.

Aqio rubbed at his eyes, moving to let Tiren lay down he almost moved away fully before a noise from the healer had him laying with the Oban. "I remember Auntie, a patient sleeps better with the warmth of another at their side. i'll rest here then." With that the youth slipped off.

A healing session and a nap latter Incanthis's eye were fluttering open, his body feeling a lot lighter now that the pain he'd been feeling had eased. It was just starting to get light out, something that his brain told him meant that he had to get to work. There was breakfast to be made, chores to be done, shopping he would need to do, and countless other things so that Muata and the others would be able to go about their day smoothly. It was as he shifted that he realized he wasn't alone, something that made his whole body go for a moment still.

Who...? Who was in his bed? No wait, it wasn't his bed, was it? Where was he? His tired mind seemed to be struggling as he sat up, rubbing his eyes, as he tried to figure out what was going on. It took some time but it finally clicked. He wasn't at home any longer, he'd gotten carried out by some of the others, brought to a healer so that he and Tiren could be healed. As for who was sleeping near to him...? He glanced over his shoulder and felt himself visibly relaxing when he realzed that it wasn't anyone threatening. Instead it appeared to be Abie. Giving a sighing sound of relief he laid back down for a moment, starring up at the ceiling, mind whirling.

What should he be doing now? Should he be contimplating leaving? Should he flee Sulburri? If he did where would he go? He didn't even know where any of his brothers were so he couldn't go to them. Where then? No real point in going home because his home was gone... leaving him at the same impass he'd been in for some time. The reason he'd never tried that hard to escape any of his Oban captors, because he had no where else to go. Now was no different, he had no where to go, and it was something that caused his eyes to grow a little damp. Something he did his best to hide by rubbing at them with the backs of his hands. Now was not the time to panic, instead he had to figure out his next move... though he was very uncertain as to what it was going to be.

Abie stirred into the waking world first, his mind sharper than one would think. During the night it seemed as if Auntie had washed the face paint from around his eyes. It was alright. He knew it would of stung when he woke. Then his mind snapped to the fact he had another beside him....riptides and shallows!!! Abie's yellow eyes snapped open, the faint scars around them told a tale indeed. The Matori male was still as he watched the Shifter. He shifted then sitting up to roll his shoulders. Squinting in the morning light he looked down at Incanthis. Part of him wanting to run...it was drowned out by the logic that he would jolt the wounds on the other male. So, instead he gave Incanthis a small nod before slowly moving to let the male lay alone. "You need to stay in bed, Auntie will have our heads if you moved. We know the chores, don't worry about---OW!!!"

He held his head as Auntie had smacked him with a ladle. The elderly healer glowered at him. "Breakfast is ready, come grab a bowl for you both before you set about "chores"...hump! As if I allow you boys to do anything around here. I'm not that old!!!" she grumbled walking away.

"You know how she is about us doing things around here. She doesn't want us to think we're still slaves." Aqio's voice was low. An attempt not to disturb the Oban male sleeping on his chest. He seemed perfectly alright with it. And...he was. Really. He was used to Abie doing the same. He shifted a little to get better leverage to speak. "How did you sleep?" he asked Incanthis.

Incanthis glanced toward Abie, lifting a hand to rest it on top of his head in a gentle manner, "Thank you for staying with me." He was kind of surprised, they had met once before, but Abie had no reason to stay at his side after the healing was done. The fact that he'd done so, it was kind of him, though it made Incanthis's heart hurt a little. There was a part of him that wished that it had been one of his brothers. There were days when he dreamed of such things, of being curled up with his little brothers, waking to them asking him for his help. How he wished he could do that sort of thing again... but he was more then certain that not a single one of his brothers wanted him, not now, not after he'd been so tainted by the Obans.

Forcing himself to sit up he rubbed at his eyes again and looked between the two brothers and said, "I slept well, thank you. Once Tiren is feeling better we will be out of your hair, I assure you." Where they would be going, that was the question, but they would figure it out. He just had to find Lamya and Deminis, had to talk with them, and see what their plans for the future were now that they had all turned their backs on Muata. It was strange to be away from the man, even if he was most certainly a dangerous one. Incanthis was terrified of the idea that he might find them, but at the same time he was confused as to what to do without him.

"How is Tiren? Did he sleep comfortably, Aqio?" Incanthis asked of the Water Tribesman that was in charge of looking after the Oban who at appeard to be sleeping deeply at the moment.
