Whether you immediately put your short visit to the recruitment fare out of your mind, or counted down the days till you could return, on the morning of the date given to you by the drone, a large military shuttle landed on whatever you had for a lawnring, and the same prissy drone from your visit climbed down. It soon became apparent that while signing up for the trip was 'optional', going on it was not. Bundled into the large vehicle, your lusus was also given the option of climbing aboard, sitting on the top with the oversized parents who could not be shoved inside, or flying/running/rolling along beside. A small but visible section of the grounds held younger trolls, being shepherded around towards a free buffet and chairs lined up in front of a podium, clearly there for some sort of small event. The entire area was comfortable with a controlled chaos and low level hubbub.

Chiara walked off the shuttle and glanced around, there sure were a lot of young trolls here. That recruitment must have gone well. There were trolls rushing to the buffet line, some were comforting, or being comforted by their lususs, and some Chiara even recognized. She painted her toothy, "oh so sincere" smile on and went to greet a friend. "Fancy seeing you here!" She called, tugging on Eridia's ribbons in greeting.

Eridia was having a blast. The recruitment fair was interestingly filled with trolls! She never considered going at first but after ignoring Lovedad's comments she felt she had to go. Her head was in the clouds until she felt a tug on her ribbons. "Hey! Watch-- Oh it's you Chiaraaaa!" She gave her pal a friendly punch on her arm. "Same thing goes to ya! This place is highly entertaining! Can't belive your lusus allowed you to come here! She said while she glared at her father.

After Afryse assisted her with the local base adventure, Hemera found that the event kick-started an unexpected journey. Before her thinkpan could catch up, or even decide if she was still interested or not, she was back in Chittentown, and at a military base, no less. A fascinating experience in and of itself! She had never been here before, and was interested in the fact that so many trolls were here today. Was this normal fare that slipped under her radar?

In her gut, she doubted it, but let herself be caught up in the flurry of activity instead of pondering it. As exciting at it all was, as soon as she could cling to a familiar troll, namely Afryse himself, she did so. As proud of herself as she wanted to be for taking part of...something, this was so out of her element. Having someone to talk to besides her lusus eased that confusion some.

"Ahh, look, look, a buffet! That must be the free food the drone mentioned. Maybe they'll have some gourmet selections?" she wondered aloud. "Is there anything you're keen on?"

Azrael had counted down the days to the fair. More than anything else, he wanted to be of service to the queen. This was a perfect opportunity for the young troll to get hyped for this event, even if it was just some fancy event for show. He would support it with his entire being. That aside, he would get the chance of a lifetime to see so many trolls gathered in one place. How couldn't he be excited for this event? His Lusus was just as eager to see the event, though for different reasons.

The draconic lusus flicked his tongue out to lick his lips, 'amazing,' scarfettle commented. 'stupendous, frabjous, monumental!' he continued moving his wings to cling to different places of Azrael's fluffy hood. He could barely contain his excitement. Azrael was petting the feathered dragon and couldn't help but let out a small snicker at his parental figure. "Calm down, you're squeezing my neck,"

Although Scarfettle loosened his coils, he didn't do much to quell his excitement. Instead he'd gotten into chirping at any lusus he could see that looked friendly enough to chirp at. When they were finally at the base Azreal tensed a bit. He was super excited but didn't want to let it show on his face, he had butterflies in his stomach.

finally when he left the ship and was on the base. There was so much to see and do that he was overwhelmed for a moment in his utter excitement. He was curios as to what this event would lead to but... it was a recruiting event wasn't it? So many trolls turned up for the recruiting event. He searched around for a good troll to either approach or study from afar.

Luckily, Elidae’s lusus was small enough to sit atop of her head to accompany her on being scuttled onto the military shuttle to take her to the unkown. So exciting! She was a little nervous, but a little dance to shake off her nerves usually did the trick and she was honestly really ready to enjoy the lovely weather of Chittentown!

In truth, the little yellowblood had not given any glimmer of a thought to join the army. Literally never crossed her thinkpan, even with the bombardment of clear propaganda that generously sprinkled the streets and buildings of her home, New Hemisect City. Nah, she spent far too much of her time daydreaming, scribbling in the pages of her trollBarbie coloring book, and dragging along her reluctant lusus on her curious ventures around town … you know, the truly important stuff! But, in Elidae's opinion, this was so nice! There was a buffet, oh boy! And a bunch of trolls her age! Yay!

Ladydad gave a concerned chatter. Elidae glanced up at her lusus’ antennae through her angled bangs, a fit of giggles erupted from her tiny frame. "It's okay, Dad!" she chirped, reaching up to pull him down from atop her fluffy hair to give him a reassuring hug. He was a bit of a worrier, especially for Elidae's sake. He always questioned her sunny disposition around other trolls, hoping she didn't say or do anything out of line, but he taught her very well to respect everyone, especially those higher than her. "'Sides, I'm sure we're here for a very, very, very, very, veerrrrrryyyyyyyyyyy important reaso-OOF!"

"Owieee..." Elidae managed to trip (or rather run into a very indifferent troll much older than her), her lusus fleeing up in a panic, wings fluttering him in a different direction. Gently pushing herself up from the ground, she pouted a little, but soon was able to get onto her two feet. It wasn't uncommon for this to happen to the yellowblood; she's been pushed, pulled, stepped on, verbally assaulted. In NHC, you see a variety of trolls, most of which do not blink an eye at a young one, and most certainly not a lowblood young one. Alas, it never breaks her spirit. Fortunate or disastrous, no one knows. Gazing around, Elidae searched for where her lusus had startled off to. In a short distance, two highbloods stood, one of which her lusus seemed to attach himself to.

"Ah!" Elidae rushed over to the highblood girls, fear flickering in her wide eyes. 'Crap, crap, crap crap.' "Hahah hah, I'm s-sorry, he didn't mean to do that. You know what they say, its good luck if a ladybeast lands on you!" She shined a friendly smile with her cheeks flushed, carefully coaxing a skittish lusus off of the blueblood, taking extra care not to physically touch her. Ladydad crawled back around her shoulder and onto her back, clearly embarrassed. A few nervous giggles erupted from Elidae. "Isn't this so exciting?! I mean I never really thought about joining the army, but everyone here is just so friendly and happy!" She made uncomfortably piercing eye contact with a disgruntled greenblood who's face was marred and scarred, one who growled in response. Quickly looking away, a genuine beam was given in the girls' direction. "Wow, I really love your bows!! They're so cute!" She pointed at the purpleblood's hairbows, then pointed at the blueblood's hair, "And-and your hairstyle is so very pretty!"

A small noise came from her lusus, and the yellowblood hung her head a little. "Ahhmmm I'm sorry. I'm Elidae, by the way." she spoke in a calmer tone, extending out her hand for a proper introduction.

They made it to the army base. Afryse felt relieved that they got there in one piece, considering that Busthind was not a fun place to leave and go from. Not only that, but it appeared their lusi hated one another. Witikodad took to sulking and slump-walking far in the rear. In truth, the distraction of knowing where his father was kept Afryse from completely freaking out.

This was an entirely new situation for him too, and having drug Hemera into the mess he felt responsible for her safety. He already had a protective streak a mile wide, but once they were inside the base and she clung to him, it kicked into over drive. She was powered and his friend. No one in hell would he let a single soul hurt her. Afyrse eyed the group. So far there was more coldies than anything: Two blues and a purple. A PURPLE. He didn't feel comfortable now, but forced it below his calm surface.

"Yes... That sounds good. Free food tastes the best." Food he was keen on? Afryse considered this quietly before shaking his head, "Not particularly. I've really never eaten anything gourmet or fancy. Mostly what I eat are prey Witikodad and I catch. Sometimes we buy things at the store near our hive, but its rare."

Afryse gently led them to the table, taking a position of being slightly in front of Hemera. The spread was really good and his stomach growled greedily. Afryse abruptly wanted everything there. All of it for himself. Swallowing, he motioned with his jaw, "Dig in. I... I'll have whatever you have." He didn't trust himself right now to take only what he needed. He didn't trust himself to not blow up at the highbloods who might try and eat some of the food.

Poeias Claudy was thankful his lusus, while large enough, wasn't so big as to not fit in the vehicle with him. Being separated from Lanata made him nervous, and really, she was great at helping him get around unfamiliar places.

Like the area he was dropped off into! It was crowded with a ton of trolls, some wrigglers like him. He and Lanata were carefully led towards the front, where there was chairs and... a buffet?! Poe grinned, and guessed the military was holding some kind of event after he signed up for the recruitment fair, to help him acclimate into the Queen's Army or something! He hadn't put too much thought into what he'd do in her army before, being a bit.... visually disabled at this stage in his life. He touched his horns gingerly, wishing he had the courage to do what needed to be done.

And of course, distracted by his thoughts, he ran right into someone. A fluffy coat jacket pressed against him and nearly knocked the air of out Poe. "O-oh!" he said, looking down to see blue laces and a fur-lined boot much like his own. He hoped he hadn't angered a temperamental highblood, and looked to see a blue shirt symbol as well. Dang. "Wow, I'm sorry, I.... I didn't see you there," he said lamely.

Psykgi Mentha

What a place, what a night! Psykgi was so excited that she had hardly been able to sit still in the transport despite Ma'ams many admonitions that she comport herself well. This was so exciting! So many trolls to meet, so many things to do! She might even witness a breakdown or too! How great would that be?

Super great!

The first thing she did once disembarking into the party room was to look around for any interesting events to poke around. The second was to look for the food. It was only after she had gotten a good portion of food from the buffet that she thought to look around for her Moirail – Leeroi, she figured, should be here, if only for the food and the possible opportunities for belligerence.

Not seeing him yet, she was a little dissappointed. Hm. Well, that was too bad! She looked around the room again, seeking an alternative route, munching all the while on various foodstuffs – good foodstuffs...

Oh look, a wild redblood has appeared. If anybody wants to interact with her, feel free. Otherwise I will throw her at someone...

"What you catch? So you hunt for your food?" Hemera looked at him, head tilted slightly to the side. "Interesting. What is there to hunt out here?" She pondered it. "Isn't the Chittentown desert where that gerbil fad came from?" There were probably hopbeasts or something. Or lizards? She could never imagine eating something with dry scales. But it was so very fascinating that an artistic troll also went out into the wild for his meals. ...Did he wear that same get-up when he did that?

He seemed to lack enthusiasm at the food. She wrote it off, but since he was having what she was, Hemera decided to sample a good variety. No large portions, of course, but if he was serious, then the diet would be balanced, anyway.

There seemed to be a variety of trolls around, but most were occupied. Well, except for one. A redblood with food of her own seemed lonely. "Excuse me," Hemera said, noting the wildly-styled hair that caught her eye to begin with. "If you would like company, you can sit with us."

Scarfettle gave a low growl of displeasure from the jostling that came from the crash. Azrael on the other hand had braced himself since the collision caused a loss of balance. "Who in the world-- calm down Azrael, this is no time to lose your head," he muttered to himself and pursed his lips as best he could around the two fangs that grew past his bottom lip.

He took a silent breath, trying to move as little as possible and turned to face the assailant. It was a troll around his age, maybe older or younger. A green blood with outrageously large horns that blocked his vision. Could he really blame him for his disability and carelessness? He totally could, but that would be less logical than he'd like. "Evidently so," Azrael said cooly, "I suppose saying watch out next time is out of the question," The young troll let out a sigh.

"Those horns are quite dangerous to have, how come you haven't taken care of them?" the question was followed by another look over of the green blood. "You're lucky I don't have a temper," Or so he liked to think. He rejected any idea that he could be anything emotional. Emotions weren't even real, just chemical impulses anyway.

"This place amaaaa--" Suddenly, Eridia saw something come towards them in a hurry. It seemed a lusus had made their way to them. The lusus rested on Chiara and she couldn't wait to see her reaction.

"Chi, don't freak out buuuut," Eridia said rather bubbly. "I think there's something on you." The highblood pointed at the lusus on her friend, she wished to see if by any chance she would freak out. Alas, a kid came towards them and removed the lusus from her bud. She observed the yellowblood cautiously, who seemed very nervous and her laugh was a proof she was right. The purpleblood looked at Chiara with a friendly smirk. Not every night you could meet someone you could use at your own leisure.

"Oh it simply is!" She said, her tone was that of a refined purpleblood she ought to be. Of course, Eridia only uses that tone whenever she felt it was necessary. The child could hear her father slightly chuckling as in 'who are you even trying to fool?' The chubby troll ignored him for now and looked back at the kid. "Although my dear yellowblood, are you sure you could handle that? I mean-" She walked towards her and fixed Elidae's bow a bit in a pitiful manner. "You seem so... delicate to join the army. You would not want to get huuurt, now would you?"

When she mentioned her ribbons, Eridia fixed the one Chiara had pulled in such a friendly manner. "Thank you! They are made of a very expensive material. You look quite decent," She eyed her again. "for a lowblood. I'm Eridia." Her last words she said it on her usual tone, she was already tired of talking oh-so refine. "What you think 'bout this kid BBB?"

Nictor Sabbat

Staring a the gathering of kids, Nictor stood still, his body quivering a little at he took in the crowds. He's finally been able to find his way to the presentation area for the younger trolls populous with the help of that older yellowblood, Reemus. That however did nothing to stop his nerves from playing havoc with him now.

Nictor's eyes darted around briefly. Trolls. Trolls, trolls, trolls everywhere. He'd only ever gotten caught up in the midnight rushes in Chittentown once or twice, he'd always tried his hardest to cling to the edges of the throng of trolls or hug walls as he made his way about. This though. He couldn't even see the walls between all the bodies milling around. The dull roar of chatter made his head throb, the mixing scents disinfectants, body odor, and food were near nauseating to the yellowblood. Too much. This was too much and he was on the edge of freezing up.

Taking a deep shaky breath, Nictor glanced up, and immediately felt better at the sight of Beehemoth buzzing about above him, alternating between circling, hovering, and swooping just a little, doing everything to keep the air above Nictor open and free and available for escape should Bee think it necessary to remove his little grub from the mess below. Beehemoth was here and wouldn't let anything truly bad happen to him.

Nictor's shoulders sagged a little in relief at the though, only to get jostled by a passing teenager. Nictor stumbled forward, a short high pitched noise escaping him. The stumble turned into a trip as a foot was misplaced and Nictor nearly crashed to the ground, only just managing to get his feet back under him in time.

Right. Standing still in the middle of a crowd. What was he doing.

Forcing a few deep breaths and wiping sweaty shaking palms on his shorts before stuffing them in his hoodie pocket, Nictor started forward, tucking his face down towards the hood hanging around his neck, eyes flitting between the space in front of him and the area of young trolls milling about.

It would seem his nose decided to help guide him as he found himself near the food table, the enticing smell of horderves having led him here. He blinked and glanced around. Luckily enough, it would seem that the buffet was less crowded than one might expect, trolls coming and going quickly, not lingering too long, and he felt some tension ease from him. He focused on his breathing, closing his eyes and letting the panic ease away, unconscious that he might be acting as a road block, his thoughts too scattered to even consider it.

"That is just so cute" Chiara said, trying to add a girlish sequel to her voice. It was something she had never tried before, but Eridia was always managing to put the annoying tone into her words. Might as well try it once. She put her hands around the little bug and squeezed it a little before it was snatched from her by its owner. Chiara wondered vaguely how much squishing it could really handle.

"Elidae, i like the name, Eridia you two should become friends, your names are already so similar, im sure you have lots in common with this yellow blood!" Half sincere, half saying stuff just to mock Eridia. Chiara patted Elidae's shoulder, making sure to make skin contact. "We are in for quite the event with all this set up, im sure."

Chiara noticed a redblood slink behind her, its plate piled high with food. Some of the food even looked edible. "Oh perfect!" Chiara commented, grabbing at a piece of something from the plate the redblood carried. "Im so glad they thought ahead to have serving trolls."

Poe braced himself for a scolding, but despite a cool reception from the coolblooded troll, he wasn't yelled at! He seemed to meet a lot of kind highbloods after all, like the seadweller who helped him with the darts game. Lanata bleated gently, reminding him. He had rather middle class blood, which might explain their kindness. He wasn't too far down the ladder.

Poe grinned awkwardly, putting his metal hand behind his head. "Haha...Y-yeah, sorry about that, again.I was a bit distracted, thinking about stuff." He wanted to dodge the horn question but... it made him upset. Why did trolls care so much! It didn't usually hurt anyone. He felt tears p***k his eyes, and for once he was glad his horns covered his eyes. He didn't have a temper at least...

"Well, would you saw off your horns?" he asked, sharper than he intended. He patted his own, which were thick, especially at the base where one would need to saw through. "It'd probably take me hours unless I wanted to go for a trip down a flight of stairs or something! I bet that'd be a step up though!" Yes. Pun secured and a perfect way to divert the conversation. "Uh... we got off on the wrong foot. I'm Poeias Claudy!"
