We have come to realize that it may be difficult for new members coming in to the guild to successfully navigate it and take advantage of all that the guild has to offer. There is a lot more to making a character than stats, bloodline, classes, and skills. In this guide we will provide an easy walk through to discover and acquire all sorts of bonuses for their character. Just a heads up, it will require a lot of reading. You're going to want to have numerous tabs open and keep them open until you are so you no longer need them. We will provide a load of links for your convenience.

[Step One]

The first step to character creation is choosing a bloodline. These will determine your racial heritage as well as dictate your base stats and what skills you start off with. Sometimes there is an energy modifier, traits and passives that give bonuses, and limiters that restrict certain combinations. Bloodlines may also include cultural passives and always give insight as to how the bloodline was started as well as their history and descriptions. The systems thread holds information on stats and energy (as well as any other system) in the event that your bloodline does not tell you something you need to know. At starting level you receive skills that are at your rank and lower. Once you decide on a bloodline move to the next step.

[Step Two]

The second step to character creation is choosing which class you wish to use. Classes determine how your character will fight. There are classes that cover pretty much every single style of fighting. They add on class skills as well as open possibilities of hand to hand styles and weapon styles. Classes will come with a stat modifier that will change your base stats you receive from the bloodline you choose. Some classes may include more energy or lessen it, as well as provide bonuses/drawbacks to attacks. The systems thread holds information on stats and energy (as well as any other system) in the event that your class does not tell you something you need to know. At starting level you receive skills that are at your rank and lower. Once you have chosen your class move on to the next step.

[Step Three]

Now that your stats, race, energy, and class are determined there are a few more steps before your character is fleshed out. The Lore thread will be what you will use for this step. Choose a Nation. The current nations that are accepting members are Nocturne, Kranila, and Aramil. For background on each nation read the Culture thread linked above, and the Nations background information if you really want. It is also acceptable to not join a nation, but you do not receive the bonus of having an army at your side and distinct allies. On the other hand you do not have distinct enemies either. Leveling up is not affected by not being a part of a nation since it is based off of character progress and character development. Now it is time to choose languages. Your race and nation should play a factor in this. If you are something of a demonic alignment then choose accordingly. While common does not have to be your de facto it should be one of your languages, or you risk being unable to understand other characters. Play to your race, nation, and history. After that we move on to religion. Read through the culture thread thoroughly to decide. To be clear, you do NOT actually have to pick a religion. If you do pick a religion, you do NOT have to be a zealot. We don't force these things on people but they are there for story purposes and to give a reason for existence and ambition should one choose to worship one of the deity. For the current guild story, refer to >>>THIS LINK<<<, and read the most recent one or two entries. Once all of this is set move on to the next step. Now work on your character's history. It can be whatever you want so long as its realistic to the guild and makes sense for all of your choices that went in to character creation.

[Step Four (Optional)]

There are a number of optional additions that Axiom can provide. The first one we will talk about is Talents. These are completely custom created traits for your character that no one else will have. It can be anything so long as the drawback is equal and it isn't superbly over powered. We have the right to deny any of them if we deny them unfair. Talents are submitted separately from profiles and are not required for approval. You do not even have to have a talent ever if you so choose. Sit on it for awhile and think about an ability that will truly make your character unique. Another bonus you may pick up are called Gene Mods. These are modifications that grant you special bonuses. These must be bought so they are not available upon creation. Another bonus that is available to characters are Marks. These are god given rewards, meaning if you are not trying to be a champion of a god you will not get a mark. Sub-classes are the final optional piece to a character. It is an extra set of specific skills that are unique to your character.
