I N T R O

From the beginning, there were two forces, endlessly intertwined: darkness, and light. Chaos, and order. Good, and evil. These two forces are what drove all existence, with the light manifesting in creation, and the darkness manifesting in the void. The two forces eventually developed to grow forms and identities, and they became the two supreme Gods of everything: Michael, and Kala. When Michael first became sentient, he noticed the darkness of the universe and began to fill it with creation and life. Kala, who was the universe itself, reveled in the darkness and so despised Michael and his creations. To combat him, she made demons, as he made angels. These angels and demons then became some of the most powerful creatures in existence, and some stood far from the rest.

Some of them, in fact, began to view themselves as Gods in their own right; they wished to preside over mortal men, and be glorified and worshiped for all time. These are those Gods, the angels and demons of heaven and hell.

It should be noted that there are four tiers for Gods: Tier 1 Gods, Tier 2 Gods, 3, and 4. Their tier usually represents their power and influence. However, serving a weaker God does not necessarily mean you will obtain less of a blessing. Sometimes it is the weaker Gods who offer the most rewards for their subjects. These rewards, whether from weak Gods or strong Gods, are known as "marks" -- physical manifestations of their power, usually tattooed to your body. With these marks, you may unlock a portion of their strength.

The amount of power a God gives you depends on how well you serve them. The stronger Gods are more difficult to please, and it is almost impossible for the tier 1 Gods to recognize you.

Vessels-
Gods can possibly obtain vessels, in order to enter Axiom. Through heaven or hell, they can travel freely. However, that is not the case in the physical world. If either a demon or angel were to enter the physical realm, the tier one God (either Michael or Kala) would nigh-instantaneously smite them, or capture them. Or worse. The only way for an angel or demon to bypass Michael and Kala is to use a vessel, which will hide their energy signature, even from an omnipresent being. Sometimes, in desperate situations, they may even call upon RPCs to be their momentary vessel. Tier 4 Gods already exist in the physical realm, and so do not need vessels, and can freely travel between heaven, hell and axiom without trouble. This is possible because their energy signature is always hidden.

Power-
I won't even begin to try and explain which level of power falls into each tier, as some of the higher tiers are simply incomprehensible. Makath, a "psychic" by all means, has been known to blow apart tier 3 Gods with his mind, and in only an instant. Some of the tier 4 Gods can actually possibly be beaten by RPCs, though not alone, most likely. If any RPC were to be able to stand up to a God on their lonesome, they could surely replace them.

You cannot have the mark of more than one God. It is possible to break away from a God and come to worship another, though you will face consequences; they will have the ability to send their own emissaries to get you for your betrayal. These will be either other RPCs of the faith or extremely powerful NPCs.

XXXR U L E S
Rules regarding knowledge
#1 - Most of the gods have never had a champion before. Because of this, they are barely known, only worshiped in covens and by select groups of people. The ambition of every God is to garner more followers, and that is why they desire a champion to spread their name and their message.

#2 - You will not know how to contact the God, or what they want. Even if you allow your OOC knowledge to influence what your RPC does (for example, if you intentionally sacrifice to gain the eyes of Cayene), this is for the most part a coincidence in terms of RP. You can't be like, oh I adventure and make up cool things because I'm trying to talk to Daniel. No, you do that because your RPC likes it. If the Gods knew you acted in the way you did simply to be an attention-grubber, very few would want to contact you. Even if your character has been around for eons, they will not know.

Rules regarding favor and marks
#1 - Once you have done many actions to gain the favor of a God, and are of Expert rank at the least, you may apply in the Mark thread for a VC to review. If they deem your amount of work necessary to obtain the God's favor, then they will play the God and contact you, whether through a voice in your head or from the body of their vessel.

#2 - Obtaining a mark can happen only when their vessel has contacted you personally. They will fill your body with their energy, and from that, a physical manifestation of their power will form; it could be on your flesh, or something else. Advancing this mark past Mark 1 will be hard. It will require time and devotion, and like with obtaining a mark in the first place, a VC must deem you worthy.

#3 - When any but a Tier 2 God obtains a champion, one with 4 of their marks, they can begin to advance in tiers. This is also done progressively and through quests. The champion must spread their word through action. For demons, they will seek the sacrifices of powerful creatures in their names. They will ask that you slay bosses, possibly even RPCs. For angels, they will first send you on a trial in order to purify your mortal form. Then, more quests will be given to spread their name and prestige. Often times you will also hunt monsters and people of vile character, in order to gain the adoration of the people. Tier 2 Gods can only possibly become Tier 1 Gods through large guild-wide arcs and solely for story purposes. It will probably never happen, to be quite honest.

#4 - When you have become a champion (4 marks) for a God, you can be inhabited by them at random times. You will become their de jure vessel, and they will work to protect you. If you are in mortal danger, the God will literally enter your body and do battle for you. However, you could only possibly hold a fraction of their power, otherwise you'd implode. This will still be a very large boost in strength, though.

Rules regarding sins
#1 - You can have only one mark if you have a sin. When your God has found you worthy of a second mark, but you are a sin host, they will ask you to make a choice: them, or that jagged creature inside of you. If you choose them, then your second mark test will be to battle and kill your sin.

This expulsion of the sin is to be done by the God itself, via the energy in the first mark. It cannot be done by a cleric or something of the like. If you run away from the battle with the sin, then the God will take shame in you and look upon you with jaded eyes; you will lose their favor, and their mark.

Rules regarding strength
#1 - Some demons and angels within the same tier are stronger than others. For example, Makath is the strongest of the tier 2s, and Justor is the strongest of the tier 3s. Some tier 3s and tier 2s are even somewhat similar in strength -- Justor and Solonor another example.

#2 - When a champion has increased the influence of a God enough, they can grow in power. With this, they can potentially reach the next tier, though this requires a large amount of dedication.

T I E R 1

Tier 1 Gods possess infinite energy. They are immortal, incomprehensible. It is assumed that the true form of both Gods, even Michael, is simply an infinite blob stretching outwards. They do not speak to any but their right-hands, who relay their messages down to the rest of their servants. If Michael and Kala both battled, you could be certain that the universe itself would cease to exist. Because of this, Michael locks himself away in Heaven and does not allow his angels to interfere in the realms of men, as Kala would surely swipe at them with her claws, killing them or attempting to lure Michael out. However, both angels and demons may take on vessels without fear of being killed by either opposing force. Either they don't notice them or can't do anything to them; it's uncertain.

XXXMICHAEL, Light and Life Gone Forever
        VANGELISM
As it has been said in the tale of Vangelism, Michael's creation was sudden and strange. He could remember being all alone in a sea of black, and then forming light to guide him. He didn't know what the darkness was or what it had in store, but knew he could never discover that answer. Instead, he created light and vessels of universal energy. He created the angels, Axiom, humans, and everything else. Michael is the artist that drew on the base of the universe, and because he truly is the creator of all human and supernatural-kind, he is the most favored and followed God to ever be. Not all favor him, however. The demons, created by Makath, and by extension Kala, despise him. He once had a delusion that he could enter into hell and slay them, but he quickly discovered that hell is almost like its own universe. It was impenetrable. Guarding it, there was a colossal energy unlike anything ever seen before. The only thing that could rival this energy was himself.

He quickly came to know Kala, who would forever dance as his opposing force, the enemy of all life.

XXXKALA, Darkness and Death Absorbed by Michael and gone forever.
        VAET NOCTURNUM
Kala is the base in which everything was formed. It is her existence that makes everything possible, as she is the universe itself. From beginning-less time, she has been around, living quietly and surrounded by darkness, nothingness. It is only when Michael formed that she finally became sentient, growing aware of him and his defiance of Her will. He snuffed out the darkness and created light -- he created heaven, then the sun and the moon. He created a world full of life that should not have been there, as well as angels to help do his bidding. So, she created her own minions. Before that very instant, Michael was unaware that there was another force in the universe like himself. He was of supreme power, with no competition. When hell formed inside of Axiom, that delusion was set aside.

She created a "son", from her slowly developing physical body. He was known as Makath, and he created and led the demons of hell, which began the eternal war between light and darkness, life and death.

Kala is the goddess of death not because she carefully watches and presides over death, but because she wishes for death to consume all things. Because of this, it is strange that the Vaet Nocturnum aspire to follow her, considering she wishes for their death as well. Perhaps it is that they don't know, or don't believe she can ever possibly obtain that goal.

        U P D A T E:
Characters have discovered (during the death of Kaminae) that the well-known assertion that Kala is the universe itself is untrue. In actuality, half of Michael's power was siphoned when Kali and his other creations turned on him. This power was sent into empty space, and the magnitude and greatness of the energy made nothingness itself sentient. This is how Kala was really made.

        XXXAttracting her attention
Nigh-impossible. It has never been done before.

T I E R 2

Tier 2 Gods are extremely powerful. They are more vocal and possess a purely physical form, almost as if living creatures. What separates a Tier 2 God from their superiors is really just their energy. For creatures like Michael and Kala, who have infinite energy, creation is simple; you must only manifest your energy into raw form. Tier 2 Gods, while their energy may even be seen as infinite to the simple people of Axiom, cannot possibly be compared to Michael and Kala. They cannot boundlessly create, and if they wish to add to their ranks, they must do so patiently and with wit. However, as a plus side to their impotence in that area, they are far more participant in the world. Niraliel, Solonor, Zachariah and Makath all directly influence Axiom from their respective planes. They have even been known to take vessels and speak to people from inside their shell.

XXXXXXXXXXXUser Image
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"You are born of iron, yet it is foreign to you. Let it be foreign no longer."
XXXMAKATH, Chaos and Horror
        VAET NOCTURNUM
If you exclude Michael and Kala, Makath is the strongest God. He is the voice of Kala, the father of demons and the King of Hell. When Kala first grew aware of her surroundings, she recognized the transgressions of Michael; he had created a blight upon her, and she would not have it. From what little of a physical form she had, she created Makath, her voice and ambassador to creation. He was to bring about the demons, and one day twist all of Michael's creations into loyal servants of Kala. His goal since then has been to spread Vaet Nocturnum, change all men and monsters into demons after their departure, and fill the universe once again with eternal darkness. The way in which he does this is simple, though it has been refined over the millennial. There are different sects of Hell, all dedicated to some form of mortal desire. He has created the Desire Demons, who revel in debauchery and hedonism over all else. They target those with want for pleasure. There are the demons of Fury, who prey on the anger and senselessness of mortals. They often invoke hatred and rage in their lessers, and can permanently damn them to hell through actions they influenced directly. Then, there are other, more complicated demons.

Makath himself is actually extremely disciplined. He is, above all else, Kala's loyal son. His only purpose for existing is spreading her will. That is often the case for the most powerful of the Gods; they are not mortals, and so have no mortal desire. He has been rumored to sit still within his palace for thousands of years, never moving or flinching. He speaks to his followers through the mask, his voice invoking fear and consciousness in any who hear it. Any who dare oppose him are blasted apart without a single thought. He is, certainly, a God of nigh-endless power.

UPDATE: As of the end of the Two Planes arc, with Kala's passing, Makath has become the ruler of Vaet Nocturnum and carries on his 'mother's' ideals. Rising to great power within Hell, he is by far the strongest force remaining in the Two Planes.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Makath is almost completely uninterested in mortals. Even his demons barely even exist to him, he sees them only as numbers and walking pawns. There are very few who have ever distinguished themselves to him, even amongst the most legendary of men and women. The only one example of his direct approaching of an Axiom-dweller was around three hundred years past, and even though this man was legendary for his bravery and battle-prowess, the near voice of the God left him schizophrenic and diluted for life. Makath approached him as he was a worthy follower of Kala, who praised her name and sacrificed many in her honor. He was the strongest warrior of his time, a man who could cut a mountain in two with his magical blade. The demon God believed he would make a fine ambassador for Axiom and Hell, but instead his mind was simply crushed. As such, there has never really been a representative of Makath on earth. He does not much care to find one, at this point.

XXXNIRALIEL, Time, Hope, and Faith
        VANGELISM
In her fledgling years as an angel, of a similar cloth to Justor, Zachariah, and Antony, Niraliel was tasked with caring for something greater than any other: time itself. Elessia and Niraliel are often seen in the pantheons as sisters, almost twins in their power. One commanded space, while the other, our subject of inquiry, time. Where Elessia's job was to tear a hole into Kala's realm and flood it with angels, it was to Niraliel to care for the flow of time, to ensure that it flowed between the three realms created by Michael safely. She, and she alone, had the power to reverse the actions of even Michael himself, should he allow her to be so bold. If a time came when the angels lost, and all else was forsaken, she could tear the world itself back by force of will.

None alive know the extent to which she has had to rewind time from failed insurrections and the slaughter of arrogant angels, but among Solonor, Antony, Makath, and Catherine it has long been known that Niraliel is beyond them all in scope of power. Hundreds on hundreds of wars passed over, with Niraliel fighting the demons by pushing the reset button where they did win. Truly, she was a power unlike any other. Realizing this, Niraliel distanced herself. She looked on the world, seeing how delicate it all was, realizing Michael's time, what he'd gifted these three planes within their closed loop among his infinite creations, she was daunted. But Michael encouraged she do act upon this, as she already had been but ten times more zealously. Her order was to do just that, to protect it she must understand after all. And so she toyed with time.

Only Michael saw her avert, create and redirect disaster. And everytime she did, she watched time as it was known to her then become more chaotic as it was unraveled. Michael stopped her after centuries of this, and what we know now as "time" was deleted. What she could see now was the Chronomass, pure entropy, multiversal collapse and expansion. Her purpose, keeping it together, was now that much harder in theory, but her mind was opened. To keep the peace among infinite dissonance, she released her power over the Chronomass, weakening herself just enough to make sense of everything, and give the world a timeline. Yes, time itself now belonged to her. And Michael, surprised and proud and worried, allowed her to keep it. In the Chronomass is time itself, and by extension Niraliel: ever present but not observable. The few born mortals whom she chooses to aid her in the keeping of time, and her personal plight against the demons, become Chronokeepers. They are blips in history, but splotches in the grand scheme, and so few exist that information on them is beyond ultra-rare. These agents of Niraliel can do what she no longer will. They can interfere in the Chronomass and outside of it.

        XXXAttracting her attention
She is, to her core, one of Michaels angels, and though she knows she is beyond right and wrong, her blood demands demons be pushed back. Her champions have come from all walks of life, demons themselves here and there becoming her champions. What she seeks are those who seek to right wrongs, to fix what becomes broken at the hands of evil. She is tough to draw the eye of, largely due to her nature as one who does not interfere, but when one does she is direct in her pursuit of new agents.

XXXSOLONOR, the Sun, Agriculture, and Healing
        JUSTOASTRIANISM
Solonor has always been a duty-bound angel. However, unlike many angels, she is duty-bound to the task encoded into her, rather than the one who encoded the task. She cares not for angels or demons, only the sun and the life that it allows the planet. Like Justor, she is the magical force that empowers the sun. However, because the sun is such a monstrosity, it takes all of her power to keep it running, whereas Justor can also control tides, fertility, and other areas of life. She relies purely on the light, which provides people with food and health. When the order in heaven was nearly destroyed by Justor's potential rebellion, she planted the seed of an eternal friendship, where they would both co-exist in love and harmony. Every now and then, this co-existence allows for a solar eclipse, where the two intertwine and meet. During this time, activity on Axiom fades with its source of light, though things return to normal very quickly.

Solonor is more of a hard thinker than Justor, and does not resent the actions of Michael, for she believes they were justified. From the time she was created, she has always been a very neutral creature. However, she does have her ambitions, which leads to the next section: how to get her attention.

        XXXAttracting her attention
Solonor is a true servant of Michael, at least in one way. She wishes to root out darkness and cleanse the void. Any one who dare serve Makath or Kala is an enemy to her, and any who cleanse their heresy will draw her eye. She has never had a champion before, as there were few who could possibly combat the rise of the unholy after the fall of Kuladhan. She eagerly awaits a worthy candidate. She recently has found her first true mark bearer, a Mer named Maria who would go on to aid in the takedown of three gods herself before ascending to become one. Though, like with all tier 2 Gods, it is quite difficult to gain her favor, particularly because she puts almost all of her attention into tending to the world's sun.

XXXANTONY, Freedom, Love and Liberty
        VANGELISM
Antony is not exactly the cupid of the Axiom world, but rather a distinct rendition of love, beauty and adventure itself. Much like Daniel, he is an embodiment of Michael's human-like dreams, and he is one of the oldest and most powerful angels around. Because of his long lifespan however, he has dealt with his fair share of conflict. When he was younger, and when the angels were still free to roam and enjoy the world, he had many friends and lovers. He'd mess around with the barmaids and farm hands, sing and dance by the bonfire and love life. He was popular, immensely so. He was celebrated alongside his brother, Ezekiel, the two of them bringing light to the life of the city that was then known as Fraxen. Even as things seemed so perfect however, something greatly spiteful grew inside of Ezekiel. He became so jealous of his brother, who was powerful and talented and beloved. He was everything that anyone could ever dream of, whereas Zeke was just... nothing. He was there, he was something, but he was just another angel. He didn't have the same spark that Antony had, and because of that he grew so incredibly twisted.

He sparked, but in a different way. He grew into a malevolent creature, the only one of his kind within the angelic order. He was so twisted and macabre that the other angels quickly grew afraid for him, and they even asked Michael to cure him of his affliction. But he could not.

He was corrupted by Kala's energy, but no one knew that at the time. Eventually though, he had been changed into something completely different -- a fallen angel. At that moment, Antony knew what he had to do, even though it was difficult. Antony had always, for all his time alive, loved unlike any other. He loved infinitely and without exception, regardless of the state in which his beloved fell. That applied to his friends, his lovers, and of course his family. But he began to realize that infinite devotion was not a possibility in an imperfect world. He realized then, that the universe itself was beginning to change. He killed Ezekiel, and when he looked to the north beyond Fronta, he could see Vaet Nocturnum slowly start to rise . . .

UPDATE: As of the end of the Two Planes arc, Antony has become the Ruler of Vangelism in Michael's stead. Read about it here.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Antony loves the basest things a man could enjoy. Adventure, romance, fighting; things that get the blood pumping. Many of his followers, as well as his fellow angels, have called him the "Lukhan of Heaven", a name he finds funnily accurate. He enjoys art and all the beauties of life. Anyone who possesses an immense attachment to their more primitive desires, while still possessing a strong grasp on civilization and artistic advancement, can surely gain his favor. He values strength as well. While no one of Axiom can rival the strength of an angel, and few can rival a demon, those who are exceptionally strong amongst the others of their kind will find themselves in his sights.

XXXCATHERINE, the Undead, Malediction
        VAET NOCTURNUM
When the people of Kenai engaged in the genocide of the human race, when that same genocide resulted in the death of twenty million people... that is when this demon was first born. All of the tormented souls screaming in agony, having watched their friends and family die... all of those souls desperately seeking revenge... they sung to her; she was a light in the darkness, one that had been awoken by their terror. As a result, she harnessed their power, and ripped their souls away from heaven. These twenty million men and women became a part of her, her eternal brazier, her source of energy. She was molded into flesh and blood by them all, and for all time afterwards she sought to remedy their pain. Inside of her, twenty million souls sing all the time. They sing her choir, songs of death and dread. She answers their voices by feeding them more souls, ones that they may devour and integrate into themselves. She is a different kind of afterlife, a wild hunt where the people fight for her pleasure for all eternity. And from her existence came a new craft, as well.

Necromancy, the ability to revive the dead that come to exist within her stream of souls. Necromancers tap into her energy, each of them invading her body and taking as they please. She is their matron, their life blood. With them, she quickly grows in power, a demon beneath Kala that wishes to devour all.

UPDATE: With the deal made in order to contract the power necessary to defeat Zachariah, Catherine and Lukhan were promised the lion's share of his energy and capability after he died. With this, Catherine - who had been hoarding power from crisis to crisis - ascended to Tier Two, and with the detainment of Kala becoming known as a permanent thing she declared herself the Goddess of Death.

        XXXAttracting her attention
Catherine is interested in the truly wretched, ones with an obsession with death. Ones who feed souls to the afterlife, the other worlds. Ones who kill beautifully and because they want to, not for a cause. In this regard, she is much like Cayene. What separates them is that her ambition is not to empower Makath, but to empower herself. And she does not care for betrayal and sacrifice, or vengeance or anything. Only the act of death, and the way in which it is committed.

Tier 3 Gods are, at the bare minimum, comprehensible. They can enter through vessels often and communicate with humans and supernaturals. Most of them are simply ordinary angels and demons, but blessed with much more power than the rest of their kind. Tier 3 Gods are the most common of the upper 3 strata, as they are near the middle level between all-powerful and fragile. While they are common, they are also highly ambitious. Many tier 3 Gods wish to gain more power and influence, and perhaps finally take that leap and become tier 2. Each of them believes they are quite special, and deserve more and more power. Each of them wishes to gain the full attention of their creator. Few ever do.

XXXALISTAIR, Contracts and Flames
        MAZDAKISM
Starting from nothing, Alistair fought and earned everything he had. Earlier in life, Alistair was defeated in combat and killed. With the Great Resurrection, he was brought back. His defeat would spark something inside of him; a primal power. This power would take him to depths few have traveled before. With the help of Catherine, Alistair is being funneled souls of the dead to further empower him as King of Hell. Prior to his ascension, Alistair was known globally for his defeat of the Demon King who usurped his throne, and for his devastating abilities in combat. In and out of combat, Alistair reigned over Nocturne for over a decade with a strong hand. His citizens never rebelled, and many chose him over faith in any god out there. A cult grew out of this belief, and many of its followers are now high priestesses and priests in the Church of Mazdakism, the following of the pantheons belonging to Alistair, Raphael, and Lilith. As a whole, Alistair is still highly concerned with the affairs of the third plane, and will often step in when his followers need him.

Alistair is completely opposed to any god or demon who would challenge his rule as King over the Second plane. It is for this reason that he finds his allies only within Mazdakism. The symbol for his Pantheon is a heart in flames. The Thorns that Daniel created for killing Zachariah were restored, in a way. Now, they serve Alistair. They stand close by him, ready to be set loose, though they are weakened.

As the God of Contracts, Alistair makes a living off of gaining the complete support over the minions he has gathered over time with his contracts. For every contract he makes, another life on the third plane must pay him back with support. While also serving as the God of the Flame, Alistair showcases his talent as an unrivaled wielder of the fire element. Every so often, Alistair randomly appears in the Third Plane, offering a deal to people who have attracted his eye, but have not mentioned the words.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Alistair is very observant of his followers, and is more often paying attention than not. The easiest way to get his attention is to pray to him mentioning that you wish to make a deal. Once the words "I want to make a deal," are spoken, then Alistair will send his missionary to speak with the follower. Alistair's primary interest is in negotiating contracts with the inhabitant of the third plane. He would come and give them a snippet of his power in exchange for a claim on their soul once they have perished. Any souls who would move on, would go to Alistair to be converted into power. Should his missionary be attacked, Alistair will denounce the follower, and never listen to their prayers again.

One of the most eccentric of all Gods. Lukhan was the first Desire Demon, the father of all his kind. While desire demons tend to prey simply on pleasure, this man revels in the opposite side of the coin. If that wasn't clear enough - he is a very avid sadist. While simple sex can entertain him greatly, he can't call it complete without suffering and humiliation. He takes on the form of a nude man, with a chained collar, spikes, thorns and a scorpion's tail. His skin is torn in some places, which causes him constant searing pain all throughout his body. There are scars all across him, each with a story and a lover attached; Lilith scraped down his arm with her nails, Azor bit a chunk off his leg. Any but the Desire Demons simply can't try to understand him, even the other demons in hell. To them, he is everything they ever dreamt; the violence inside of them, the desire, the freedom to enjoy whatever the hell they please.

His greatest pride, which was brought about by his greatest sexual venture, is the Incubus, and often the Succubus (if they align more with him). He enjoys the concept of a mortal representation of pleasure; many little demons wandering through the world, enforcing his will. Often times they murder men and women once they are done with them, and bring pain and fear into their lives. He watches eagerly, his mouth salivating with every little thing that they do. Because of this, you could consider him far more attached to the mortal world than most Gods. He, in fact, prefers the mortal world over Hell. The pain and pleasure there is real, and means something. It can produce offspring or provide disease, it is not simply a quick spin in the hay. Which means that attracting his attention isn't hard, though keeping it can be.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Admittedly, many mortals catch Lukhan's eyes. It is not easy to do so, however. Simply being attractive or good in the sack isn't really what he enjoys. He likes people who are truly pioneers at their craft, whether in pleasure, pain or something more. He enjoys people who wish to completely consolidate the desire of another, as he so often does himself. However, he can quickly get bored of people. Usually, if someone shines brightly enough, he will take on a mortal vessel, stalk them and either have sex with them with their consent or without. From that point on, he tends to just forget about them. He has never really had a champion, not even his own son, Eklopyter. It is unknown what would truly set him off, and manage to lock his focus onto someone. Many who worship him spend their whole lives trying to find out.

XXXRAPHAEL, Order, Civilization, Leadership
        MAZDAKISM
In life, Raphael (often known as "Emperor West") was an Incubus b*****d to the woman Magdelina of House von Helzerhein and an Incubus who seduced her into an affair. She claimed to the King of Fraxon that the child was his, with the same dark hair and powerful eyes. The King, Malcolm of House Gilletti, was a good man - he believed his lover and made her his wife before the child was born. Neither of them knew that Raphael was an Incubus. The woman simply believed the father's strange and enigmatic nature was magery, and the King believed him to be his rightful heir. He and Magdelina had another child, Gaston, and instructed both in rulership and in martial combat. The affliction was never spoken of, or guessed at, despite Raphael being obviously different from all his peers before him. Firstly, those he spent time with all grew maddeningly attracted to him. It did not matter who they were. Young or old, male or female, those who took care of Raphael - or simply played with him in the yard - grew lustful desires for him. The result of being an Incubus, and one naturally gifted. A strange affliction to have, but one the King found interest in. He affirmed himself that his son, with his strangely charismatic talents, his powerful voice and his pleasingly handsome face, would be a great Lord of Fraxon in his day.

And although many complicated events occurred in both of their lives, and though the King died young and left his Kingdom to a young Raphael, his assertion that the man's charisma would lead to a united Fraxon was indeed correct. Raphael was, in his prime, one of the most feared Kings of Fraxon of all time, and he reformed the Great Empire of old from its fractured shambles, reconquering all of the known world save for Nocturne and Val'Ghast.

While Raphael was a b*****d, and an illegitimate claimant to the throne, his merits allowed him to be a grand Emperor. In his eyes, all games and lies are permitted to gain power if you are worthy of wielding it. Whether you are the King vested upon his throne or a clever sycophant guiding his hand, you are a part of the great game of rulership. Play your part well enough, and you may gain the sponsorship of a man-turned-God.

        XXXNote
With the disappearance of Kala, the alignment of all demons has shifted. Raphael, as an Incubus, became a Desire Demon before he left the mortal plane. As such, his soul was bound to hell, and it is from there he serves mankind - despite how strange it is for a demon to fill such a role.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Raphael respects those who respect themselves. Those with dignity, class, and an empowering presence. Those who are fit to lead, whether a group, a battalion, an army or an empire. Additionally, Raphael, being born on the mortal plane unlike the vast majority of powerful entities, has a penchant for visiting the mortal plane and witnessing leaders - you will often find him at coronations, great events, so on and so forth, though he may disguise himself to not draw the attention from the recipients of such honors.

XXXDANIEL, Creativity and Adventure
        VANGELISM
Danny is the embodiment of Michael's creative side. He was one of the first angels made by him, the artist and architect of Axiom. He drew out and shaped the mountains, the minerals, almost everything you'll find in the world. Ultimately he has the mind of a child, so he drew these out with the intention to travel the lands as if a developer playing his own game. Because of this, he is more often than not within the physical realm of Axiom, inside of some vessel. Usually it's a young boy with a heart for adventure, and when the kid grows up, he moves on to another one. He's honestly a strange angel and most of the others sort of disrespect him, but he is also a symbol of purity and happiness. He doesn't care about the war between angels or demons, or any of that. He just wants to have fun.

Interestingly, it was Daniel who created monsters, despite loving holiness and whatnot. He believes monsters have a right to live as well, because they really only want self-preservation, just like the humanoids. He also created them because they make his adventures more interesting. There has literally never been a monster alive to know that Daniel is responsible for their creation.

XXXCAYENNE, Betrayal and Sacrifice
        VAET NOCTURNUM
Deep in the heart of Yuran, there was an upstart family with a man, a woman, and their two children. The man was David, his wife Cayene. The two children were young and still learning, and unbelievably annoying. They would screech and wail all day, wanting more and more that their mother just couldn't give. Things were hard back where they came from, so her husband had to work all day and couldn't help her deal with the kids. She took this as neglect. In order to escape her responsibility, she found a friend in town who showed her how to ease the stress. That lady, who was mysterious and wise, appealed to Cayene's deep need of guidance. They began to take drugs together and party like animals, then eventually the lady introduced her to Vaet Nocturnum, the belief of demons. They performed a ritual, where a demon actually came from the spell circle in a physical form and contacted them. The witch was only terrified, while Cayene was filled with an intense desire and craving. She didn't even need to hear his voice in order to understand what he wanted.

That night, as her husband came home, he returned to the butchered bodies of his two children. Deeper inside, he expected for Cayene to be dead as well, but instead she was there waiting for him. She had frenzied eyes, and an axe in her hands. The man, vengeful over his children, came at her with a sword, though her physical strength had somehow become far beyond his. After his death, she ate the three hearts of the rest of her family, claiming herself to be the vessel of four souls. Then, in the name of Makath, she chopped off her own head. The demons took such an interest in her that they made her one of them, and Makath made her a symbol of devotion and sacrifice. Ever since, she has presided over the sacrificial needs of hell, distributing souls and hungrily questing for more.

XXXSOLARIS, Pride and Valor
        VANGELISM
Though mournful of her loss, it was her duty to pick up his sword when he left. Indeed, Solaris is the sister and beloved of Zachariah, the angel who guarded war and fate. She was the one to hold his banner, the one to support him and honor his name. And when he left, she was nothing; she had never really been her own voice. It was a terrifying experience, though enlightening. Solaris is a warrior, with a warrior's heart. During her time with Zachariah, he taught her how to wield a blade and she did so with courage. She was one of the dominant forces in the arena, always triumphantly standing over her brothers and sisters. From this, she grew proud, and her pride only gave her more courage. It is obvious why she would preside over what she does. Her valor in battle is like nothing ever seen, and she fights until the end. She has won many losing battles simply because of her never-waning resolve.

When Zachariah became twisted and darkened by his time spent in hell, she grew vengeful towards the demons. Her heart hardened, and her blade grew ever more attached to her arm. Through time, her vengeful spirit towards the demons became too great; she felt that she should march into Axiom and rid of the evil, hoping to change the tide of war. Even with all of the advice against it, and whispers of punishment, she did in fact manifest. But in another way. Through her vessels, she inspired the unification of Fraxen into a great Empire that could dispose of all evil. South Fraxen, West and all through the North and East came together as one. It was then that men recognized her existence, and hailed her as a Goddess and the great spirit of pride.

        XXXAttracting her attention
One with an unbreakable resolve to slay demons and act righteously would catch her eye. One with great pride and confidence, as well as the ability to decisively act and without ignorance, would further catch her attention. When a great leader is born, somehow, she will know, and they will always be under her vigilant gaze.

XXXSAMAEL, Truth and Vitality
        VANGELISM
Just as it is for many other angels, Samael is an agent of Michael. He upholds the value of human life and has taken on the fight against evil. In the days of old Samael was a shining example of a paragon of good. With his mighty spear he slew malevolent beings without so much as a second thought. Being a lesser angel Samael often made his way to the world and meddled in the afair of humans and other beings. Often times he would inhabit a vessel and lead them and their kind in a fight against heinous creatures. Samael cared little for the well-being of those he used, only that the monsters and demons were slain. On one of his traverses to the world Samael's vessel was captured in battle.

When Samael came to he was chained before a demon. The creature stared back at him with a queer look in his eyes, not exactly hatred. It was fear, a fear so deep it dared not approach the angel even though he was captured. Samael questioned why he was still alive, and the demon pleaded for its life. He proclaimed himself different from others of his kind. The demon did not feast on humans, he did not exploit others, nor did he even follow the teachings of Vaet Nocturnum. All it wanted was to live in peace. In silence Samael pondered deeply on the matters of good, evil, and life. Was it not true that beings could defy their nature? There were even angels who had fallen and turned away from Michael. Could it be that demons could do the same? It was then that Samael decided to forget his old ways and began down a new path. He swore to the demon that he would spare his life and allow him to live in peace. The demon set Samael free and the angel departed.

He began to spread a new idea to other angels. Perhaps it was indeed possible for beings to change their nature. If that was the case they had to take more care in what they slay. There were few who respected this belief and even less who followed Samael. In order to show the others the truth, Samael began to spread his teachings to the mortal beings in the world below. He chose only honorable warriors, those who could differentiate between the nature of a creature and true evil. Samael gave strength to the weak who preached his gospel and granted them the strength to combat the forces of darkness.

        XXXAttracting his attention

XXXMARIA, The Sea, Wrath, Determination
        MAZDAKISM
Maria Kal was once a mortal Mer who lived a very peaceful, very small life in the huge ocean. She and her family created a colony in defiance of the ruler, Kaminae the Sea Witch. She spared no one when she came to destroy them. Maria barely made it out alive. She washed up in Aramil with only a tiny lizard who would take the long journey along side Maria to avenger her family and her people. It took years for her to grow powerful enough to gain that kind of strength needed to strike out into the world, but when she was ready the then Emperor West gave her an oppurtunity to cleanse the world of a madman known as Devrin. This was the first in a long line of power plays and steps she would take towards destroying the ocean's scourge. It was not long before she succeeded, which gained her the approval of Solonor. This was not the end of her journey however.

Kaminae was but one of the many who would fall to her hand, not specifically in the name of Vangelism or Justoarianism. Because it was right. Because in her heart of hearts she loved the oceans, and she loved the forests she reigned over as Queen in the stead of the Late Korok. It was her love for the plane that drove her to slay Zachariah after he destroyed Yuran, and it was this same love that drew her to stop Kali from Siphoning the power from Elessia. For a long time no one heard from Maria. She floated in the endless abyss of the ocean, not conscious, not unconscious, but merely there. Dominus too seemed affected, falling slowly into a deep, pitch black crevice he was sure would be his final rest. The pressure was great on her as she touched the floor of a part of the sea she had never seen. And then a voice spoke to her. It was a twisted thing like a whisper and a scream all at once. It spoke of great power that could be hers. It spoke of a contract, a promise that would lead her to greatness. That voice too showed her images in her mind's eye of Kaminae, her grotesque transformation and the unraveling of her mind. This was her option. To die or become the very thing she hated. And then a light touched her unlike solonors. It was a second voice more akin to music than to something so wretched. It sang a tune of power as well, but a different kind. She saw the heavens themselves, a massive golden fence somewhere she knew but didn't at the same time: like the knowledge could be taken from her. The mass of power she had been blasted with, instead of killing her had awakened to entities on the plane. Two that sought one to guard them. She had a decision to make... a choice as heavy as two planes. Rather than saying yes to either she felt a righteous burst of power... and she accepted both, taking the greater and lesser of neither but taking their power, the power of Kali and Solonor, and her own to create something unique. Her connection to the Gates of Heaven and Hell remained but she was a slave to neither.

The Mortal Maria died that day, but was reborn not just as a Goddess... but as a Legend. Now, as a part of a newer pantheon she seeks only to ensure the protection and longevity of the plane, and any who follow her quite literally can as she makes her home, along with her Champion Dominus, in the oceans and forests of the plane. It is not unheard of, though rare, to find her there, facing threats that would threaten the world itself while ensuring nothing that does not belong there leaves or enters the gates.

        XXXAttracting her attention
It is not so difficult to attract the attention of a mer. Difficulty lies in keeping it. Were she to pick a chosen he or she would be one who has nothing but utter, complete devotion to protecting the world at large from it's larger threats. Her chosen would be a** kickers and name takers who refuse to let anyone cause the world or it's inhabitants harm. No one who doesn't actively partake in a worldly sense can keep her attention for very long but those who do find an eternal friend and ally.

Duty-bound by what he believes to be the right thing to do, Uriel has a staunch outlook on life on the third plane. While he understands that life is sacred, he does not believe that mortals are capable of thinking on their own. For their sakes, mortals must be governed and controlled by the gods; even if that government were to cause chaos to the land. While created by Michael, Uriel has long since defected to the side of mayhem and chaos. Formerly serving Narathos, Uriel is a first line of defense sent down to cause damage when it needs to be caused. Now he serves Elessia. He considers himself to be a necessary evil for the world, and has no objection to ending a few lives in the process.

Uriel is renowned for his skill in combat, with tales that started with numerous clashes with other gods. His skill in combat was equal to Zachariah, though he excels at fighting multiple enemies at once. Uriel is not to be confused as a corrupt deity. In fact, many of his followers still follow him and respect his purpose.

Uriel is typically prayed to by those who feel morally bound, incapable of enacting and fulfilling their duties. As such, knights make up his majority of followers.

XXXBJORN, the Hunt, Instinct
        VAET NOCTURNUM
Bjorn was born a Pagan, washed upon the shores of Uppsala, a Kingdom to the far north. Unlike other Pagans, he did not feel a craving to rule and abuse his power. No . . . he was born so very different from them that he did not even know that he was one of them. He was born instead with a strong instinct and a desire, to hunt big game and annihilate those who rivaled his power. He slew many of the pagans of the North, and destroyed countless hierarchies of monsters. The weak clung to him as their lord and savior, and he did not harm them. Instead, he felt at comfort in the presence of their groveling and tears of appreciation. He was good to them so as to have them stay, and stay they did. They flocked to him by the thousands. They cheered and wept for joy as they watched him corner other Pagans and bash their brains against his maul.

He became known as the greatest warrior of the North, a title he would never relinquish.

When Vaet Nocturnum came over his lands, he gave his people the power they needed to survive in the harsh world that was coming for them. He created the Fairhairs, and then left them to their own devices, letting them mold themselves in the conflict of the world. He went to Val'Ghast to hunt the strongest of the monsters that lived, eradicating many species that today would bring great terror over the world if they had been allowed to exist. But that was just who he was: one instinctually led to power, to threats, to glory. Always the one to n** a problem in the bud before it bloomed to herald chaos. And when he finally begun to slay demons, the new power that wished to inhabit Axiom, he gained the capabilities necessary to join their order in hell . . . and challenge their hierarchies from within.

        XXXAttracting his attention
He enjoys great warriors and great hunters. Those who face their challenges with blood and martial combat excite him. Those who embrace their nature and instincts are also of great value to him, and he will often approach a famed hunter in the wilds and challenge them to see their worth. He is known to be a dangerous, unpredictable and lustful God, but he is loyal to his greatest and truest of followers. Also, oddly, he is the only God to mark animals.

XXXJUSTOR, the Moon, Energy, and Fertility
        JUSTOASTRIANISM
Unbeknownst to their followers, the story of Justor and Solonor is actually far more romantic than what is publicized. When time had just begun to pass, and the empty universe was filled with physical vessels of energy, two angels were assigned to watching over the planet, and humanity: Justor, and Solonor. They were given great power by Michael, which would shape the world around them. Like Solonor, his magic lays in the light of the moon, which washed down on all creatures when the sun fell. He took control of the tides, the menstrual cycle and all sorts of random little baubles that the moon grew influential over. However, he was alone, isolated atop a giant mass of grey waste. Every now and then other angels would come see him, but for the most part he lived in the quiet. He didn't know where his life was going to go, or whether the emptiness would ever end. He only waited, patiently. He sat still, and didn't move unless asked to. Eventually, however, the flood happened.

When the mortal life on Axiom was eradicated, he became enraged, feeling as if all of his time and effort amounted to nothing. He, one of the strongest angels, was ready to enter into Heaven and challenge Michael. However, a great light shone upon him before he left. This was the light of Solonor, his angelic brethren from across the ocean of space. She told him that she was lonely too, but they had always helped each other. They interacted with one another with their glow alone, and had become the true mother and father of the human race. They bonded over their solitude, and became resolved to protect and guide life on Axiom until time came to an end. Then, hundreds of years later, they descended upon the world. They took the vessels of two Elvish people, as they had a strong magic within them that could contain the two angelic beings. They spoke to the Elves, who were one with nature, and peaceful above all else. They helped them learn to cooperate, and joined the Dark Elves and Dawn Elves. Their mission was ultimately to bring about peace, so that the mortal world may never be washed away again.

Justor himself is a highly compassionate angel. While Solonor is more of a rational thinker, he is an emotional one. He deeply loves life on earth, especially the Elves, and has always wished to see it thrive. He is quite honestly very motherly, which is ironic for a great and powerful, "masculine" angel, but that is simply the way he has always been.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Justor seeks an emissary of peace. He has had one champion many lifetimes ago, Empress Maghlya, who seeked purely to create peace and harmony within Kuladhan and her neighbors. She was also a woman of great virtue, the philosopher who truly decided the social norms of the elves. Before her, they were quite barbaric. Additionally, she was an amazing mage, mostly due to his influence inside of her. She was known to be able to erect massive barriers and cast all sorts of defensive spells.

It is said that the attention of Justor is drawn by the compassionate. It is drawn by one willing to forgive and forget even the greatest transgressions -- he wants someone who focuses on brightening the future, rather than avenging the past.

T I E R 4

Tier 4s are barely worthy of worship. They are stronger than what any born on Axiom can be, but are not much greater than your average pure angel or demon. They do have one advantage, however: they can move freely between the three planes of heaven, hell, and Axiom, and without being bothered by Kala or Michael. This is because they are protected; many of them are weak enough to avoid detection. Many of them were banished from either heaven or hell for one reason or another -- crime, insanity, etc. In the case of Kaminae, she is protected by Kala to prevent mortals and angels from entering the gate of hell. Others may only barely exist at all, only appearing as phantoms and silhouettes. Most tier 4s are unknown, as they often dwell in some dark cave or beneath the surface for all eternity. The ones who do present themselves are known to be the strongest creatures to dwell within the world of Axiom.

XXXNATHANIEL, Control
        MAZDAKISM
Nathaniel was born an Incubus of the Third Plane, much like Raphael. He was always blessed with a peculiar talent, however. One that Incubus did not naturally possess. While Incubus could invade Dreams, and were often called Dreamwalkers as a result, Nathaniel had the ability to completely invade a person's thoughts. He could read the minds of those around him, and could sense their intentions and desires better than anyone else. By the time he had ascended to that of a pure demon, his peers and the people who had been close to him knew that it was inappropriate to call him a Desire Demon. So - they called him something else. An Apparition, a category of demon that was so bizarre it could not fit into the large overarching categories. He was cast from the hierarchies of hell, left merely to his own devices, to slip between the cracks and do as he pleased. It wasn't long after that he used his talents to secure a great source of power in the Third Plane - an inscribing knife that could carve unique power into one's being, for a singular use.

The knife ripped through his back, his palms, his cheeks. He drew runic symbols that spoke the story of his life, of the Incubus who became something far different. He drew a symbol each for the most unique thoughts he'd ever read, forever keeping their memory imbued in him. He became the first true Impure Apparition, a powerful sect of demons that hold no leashes to chain them down. He, alongside Raphael and the other demons set apart from their kin, formed a new order within Hell: the Lycessa Striiatus, those who rule the margins.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Nathaniel does not possess a mark to offer. Instead, he seeks an Avatar to wield his bloodline, the Apparitions, and one to wear his face to carry out his word. He wishes to become a stronger God, worthy of dwelling in the third category.

XXXASTEROTH, Blood
        VAET NOCTURNUM
Asteroth, King of the Sanguine Isles, was the first vampire. In life, he was Azazel Miras, a prominent general beneath the thumb of his father who had built the early settlement of Luimira. Azazel was known throughout the land for his intellect, charm, his guile and his skill in battle; many theorized from early on that he would be one of the greatest Kings of Axiom to ever rule. Unfortunately, life is rarely ever so easy, and certainly never so ideal. When Azazel grew to become a true man, and prepared to assume power from his father, Vaet Nocturnum invaded the lands of Nocturne, back then known as Ahnotep, the crown of the north.

The lands descended into chaos, and all who followed know how the story went; in the depths of depravity in the northern realms, Azazel emerged above all others. He consumed the flesh of a demon in order to survive a lethal blow, and when his eyes awoke next he emerged as the first vampire, and the greatest of them. A Higher Vampire.

Eventually, he had his downfall, like all others before him. But unlike most others, Azazel was so revered that no one was willing to allow him to merely pass. A great vampire, Azrael, who reigned as the King of Luray... would never allow his obsession with the great vampire to subside. A Necromancer, he sought a way to return the souls of the dead to the world of the living, and by delving into the mess of souls that was Catherine's realm he found a way. By allowing a soul to inhabit one's own body, they could return it to mortal lands. Azrael acknowledged that by enacting this ritual he would die, but he did so regardless, and as a result the First Vampire was beckoned once again to the realm of man.

Azazel - donning now the name Asteroth - sought revenge as his first order of business. The progenies he created had betrayed him, and one by one they all fell. He took their lands and those beneath them as puppets to his dominion, and on an island off the coast of Val'Ghast he built the Sanguine Isles. An empire of the dangerous. Those who revered the old ways - the ways of true bloodletting and war that ravaged Nocturne in the days of Kala's first arrival.

Through his followers, and by his connection to Catherine, Asteroth became more than merely the First. He became the Lord of all the ones to follow after him, the God of Blood. One who dwells in the mortal plane, seeking to reveal the splendors of eternal night to the world around him.

        XXXAttracting his attention
Asteroth has no mark. However, if one who has served him loyally is to die, he will raise them with a special bloodline: Higher Vampire, the race of true vampires - those who gain their power by feasting on a powerful, wicked demon.

XXXMAKASSAR, Magic
        PAGANISM
Makassar. Lavenia. Markus Aelion. The three generals that presided over the Amaranthine Deserts during the time of the scourge of Wurms, where the queen of the parasitic beasts grew emboldened and sought to destroy the Kingdom of Amaranthine. Makassar was ruled by Azrael, the King who reigned in Luray, who held a deep secret; that he was a vampire. He was dearly close to the King and was most trusted, tending to his needs and providing him with the ichor that provided him with life. It was due to his service that the King provided him with the secret that would lead Makassar to Godhood: that deep within the deserts, beyond even the Wurm Queen's grasp, there was a well of power that only man could access. It was a relic left behind by someone who was not a God but rivaled them, and with the guidance of the Oracle Heracynthias - who lived in an Oasis central to the continent - this relic could be encrypted and used.

Makassar set out to find the relic, alone. He could not trust anyone not to try and steal the power for themselves, and also, a group of one was more difficult to track. He used every bit of wit and will he had within him to find the relic, and he did. It was a small hexagonal box that looked something like a variant rubik's cube. He did not know what lay inside of it, but he knew one thing: he would not trust Heracynthias. For some strange reason, it was as if the artifact itself began to speak to him. It told him to never believe in the words of an angel, for they work for their own ambitions. The Oasis was avoided, and yet somehow he consistently found shelter, food and safety in his travels away from the desert. He made his way to the town of Geshan on the Eastern Coast of Amaranthine, and within a small hovel he had bought with money given to him by the King, he studied the artifact and examined its intricacies.

The artifact . . . was a relic of the Old. It was something that was loathed by angels, for they had thought to have erased all traces of the Old World. The artifact gave Makassar the power to kill angels and demons, wielding some of the most abstract magic the world had ever seen. He had become a reality warper, and he crafted the civilization of Geshan into his own society that far surpassed the strength of both Amaranthine and the Wurms. It is said that Makassar, within the mortal plane, is the strongest entity that walks. His power surpasses all others while they dwell in Axiom, so while he may only be considered of the fourth category, he is an enemy that even the angels feared to provoke.

XXXDOMINUS, Domination
        Mazdakism
Dominus was once known to the mortal world as a simple lizard with big dreams named Intet. It was he who survived one of the many massacres of the time in which Kaminae ruled the sea. He is known as the firstborn-and only- son of Maria Kal, Goddess of Wrath, and as such was with her from her first insurrection into the surface world. Being a Mer's seashell bond made him a special creature; he would grow to be just as strong and terrifying as Maria with time. In the first battle with Kaminae he faced a much stronger being than he, a more powerful dragon bonded to the sea witch. Upon killing him and absorbing great power from both her corpse and the beasts, Intet went through a morph in both demeanor and power. He was already huge, but this boon made him stronger still. Maria became Queen of Beasts but by and large Intet the Dreamer became Dominus the Unbound, King of Monsters. It wasn't until the interference with Kali's siphoning that the world would see him rise again anew. He was there for the destruction of Zachariah and Kaminae, playing a jey role as Maria's right hand and closest friend. He grew to monstrous sizes in every thinkable way, standing tall above engineering marvels of the world. As Maria declared the Third Plane under her protection, Dominus claimed it's many inhabitants as his charges as well. As god of Domination, he seeks to subjugate all who would oppose the rule of Maria and the other Mazdakists and smite them with an iron fist. He is proud, arrogant even, of himself and his accomplishments and is quite outspoken when Mazdakist gods convene, even if with a single glance he can be silenced by Maria. Normally to see him is either a sign of goodwill or of foreboding. Be not afraid of his size and demeanor if you claim to be an ally of the one he serves... but step on his bad side and you will see the fury of Dominus, God of Subjugation in it's entirety.

        XXXAttracting his attention
You do not. If one were to gain the attention of Maria and receive her mark, then and only then would they too see Dominus as an Ally. However, he has seen a chosen few who he would come to the aid of, though this exceeds rare. More often than not, he is too ornery to call someone worthy of receiving his attention.

She has created all of the greatest illnesses of all time, the greatest of them being named after her: the Black Bulbs of Sevast, a disease that spread so rampantly across the world in the 6th century that it cut Axiom's population down to 60%. Needless to say, she probably has the highest killcount of any of the Gods.

It was Alistair who saved her. She functioned as his left hand during his reign as Emperor. Alistair and Kor'vah have an intense bond; it was intense enough for Kor'vah to face a drastic change when Alistair both ate Zachariah's heart and seized Narathos' power. While the power benefited them both, it did more so for Alistair. The power was strange to Kor'vah. It shaped her mind. Twisted it. Her power became sinister, unstable, and unique. She whispers into the minds of those who are sleeping and places visions into their minds. She brings nightmares to the mentally unstable, instilling a fear of going to sleep. The sleeplessness alters the minds of those she affects and changes their abilities. Her power lies in darkness, but it is not evil. When she whispers, she finds those who need an extra push. The nightmares she departs are disturbing, and with enough time, they can gain true life by sapping on the individual's energy.

Calahan was once known as Connor Cintere, a long serving Knight of Fraxon, and a human. He served the Empire diligently from the time of David Gilletti, father of Raphael, to the end of the Desire Demon's reign. In his service as a Knight, Calahan proved to be an essential component of the Fraxonian military, as well as an unspoken caretaker of the Empire's physical and social wellbeing. He fought not blindly for Kings and their laws, but always instead for what he believed was right. He believed in Raphael, and helped him rule over the Empire. He served in their great armies as a general of the highest caliber, doing battle with legendary warriors of Nocturne such as Adriel and Lilith and more than once pressing back their assaults. He fought to the end. When the destruction of Yuran came upon the Empire, Calahan stood as the force that blocked Zachariah's advance until he no longer could. He died in service, slain by the God of War.

But there was no heaven or hell for him, and his soul became lost. He lived in the third plane as merely a wraith, a creature that phased in and out of being and never left memory in his tracks. Even so he served the interests of his Emperor and acted on the will of his people, slaying many of those who took part in the destruction of the Kingdom of Yuran. He enacted justice in life, he acted graciously within his moral code, and even in death he did not surrender his morals and flail about in confusion and chaos. He brought down justice even when all life had faded from him, and in acknowledgment of his lifelong and faithful service, Raphael found him and made him one of his own: a Mazdak, a revolutionary, a God. Since then, he has vowed his lifetime service to the God of Order and has become his emerald blade shining in the dark.

The Empire of Kuladhan was once the heart of civilization and trade in this world, and even in her tireless efforts to protect her land's integrity, Aelothari looked deep into the matters of Fraxen and helped the humans, Nephilim and Valkyrie uncover a way to seal away the Sins which had plagued the southern hemisphere with chaos and boundless horrors. It was she who sealed the Sins away to their tower, given that power by Justor as he trusted her above all others.

It was also she who confronted Narathos as he tore down Kuladhan from within, inciting anarchy and chaos to the whole of the land, causing elves to destroy one another and forming a schism within the Empire that has haunted the Elves for hundreds of years. Even as he struck her down to the floor and left her bleeding and near death, she kept herself alive as long as she could to stop the madness that he was unleashing upon her Kingdom. She used her last bit of energy to dismantle the spells he'd cast to destroy Kusana City, and called upon the Mark of Justor to cast the Anarchist from her Kingdom.

T I E R UNKNOWN

This is a list compiling of the unknown, unaffiliated Gods of Axiom. While some of them have interacted with the world (some more than others), almost no one knows what or who they are. Michael and Kala both have an inkling, considering they're somehow responsible for their creation, but all others are completely dumbfounded by their existence. They have no collective ambition, no apparent morality, only a questionable existence that somehow seems to preside over lesser beings.

To some, they are known as the "conclave", as that is what they have called themselves from time to time. It is firmly believed that they are all around the same strength as Makath.

If you're interested in their creation, then the only answer you'll find is directly from the tier one Gods. They believe that these Gods are the abominations created by Michael and Kala's numerous attempts to create tangible, physical forms that may directly interact with Axiom. Each time the two Gods failed, they released an ungodly amount of energy into the cosmic flow, which could very easily take form and result in these creatures. However, that is only an assumption.

THE REWARDS OF CHAMPIONING A TIER ? GOD:

If you were to become a soldier of one of these creatures, then they would offer to you a bloodline. You would be the progenitor of their own special race of supernaturals, their craftsmanship and their greatest pride. You would be unique, with your own physiology and your own powers. It would be a great honor, and a marvelous gift.

XXXNARATHOS, Anarchy ABSORBED BY MICHAEL: GONE FOREVER.

Narathos is the most powerful and influential of the "conclave". He has directly intervened in Axiom multiple times, taking on different forms each time. First, he appeared to Judie as a pitch black creature in the night, wearing golden jewelry and other ornaments to paint quite the Godly image. Then, he created the sins by corrupting the seven humans of the Fraxen Council. Then, he destroyed the Elven Empire and set in motion a very horrific chain of events. Whatever his motive, it has been proven to be malicious.

A part of the reason he does not continuously intervene in the world is that he is watched; angels and demons both continue to search for him, and a display of energy could result in a hunt for his head. While Narathos does not fear the angels or demons, as he is superior to essentially all of them (perhaps even Makath), he does fear Kala, who could very easily snatch him and disassemble him if he made himself too clear.

As for his actual ideology, he believes purely in freedom. He has time and time again thrown supreme, powerful Empires into complete chaos perhaps simply for his own entertainment. While he does not rule the conclave, the other members do certainly respect him. He is the oldest of their Order.

Kali is a very strange entity. While she has not greatly intervened in the world as Narathos has done, she has directly influenced the distribution of power throughout history. Very subtly, she has provided children and monsters various talents and abilities, she's created strong warriors out of weak and fragile men and women. How she chooses is unknown; even she does not know, there is simply a pull that beckons her intervention. With this in mind, it is safe to say that almost all of the strongest fighters in Axiom have been directly given capabilities by her. She helps Kings and Queens rise and fall, she helps revolutionaries rise from the slums.

As for her motive, she doesn't have any but one: she just wants to see. She wants to watch everything unfold, to see civilizations grow under leaders and warriors. Her greatest elation comes from the fantastic result of a carefully nurtured subject, one who siphoned her power.

He whispers fears and thoughts into the minds of others, and lets the rest do its work. His pantheon essentially promotes the anarchy that Narathos believes in, which makes them allies in a way. However, he has no interest in the other entities of the conclave.

You could actually say that Malacai is the unspoken leader of his order. Even the other Gods who surround him are not immune to his deception. They do not know who or what he is, either, or what he looks like. They only see the form that he wants them to see, and they hear from him and each other what he wants them to hear. He is completely unprecedented in ability, though his powers do not seem to extend further than creating unrest and remaining invulnerable.

Malacai, because of his ability, is able to exist within the world of Axiom without taking a vessel. Michael and Kala cannot see him or detect him. Those who have known his physical form have generally had their lives thoroughly rocked, thrown into chaos and mistrust, though many have left the experience renewed.

XXXZACHARIAH, War and Fate DECEASED. SLAIN BY ALISTAIR MARIC, MARIA KAL, RED, ADRIEL HELIOS, LILITH ODAM, KUMORI AND AMIAS NICHT.
        VAET NOCTURNUM
Zachariah was the second angel created by Michael, right after Niraliel. He was, without a doubt, the third strongest of them at the time. Many were inferior to him, as he presided over all strife and the outcome of all strife. He could manipulate the outcome of battles between he and any lesser foe, instantaneously proving himself the victor. Because of this power, he often and gleefully battled weaker angels and they began to glorify him as a true champion; a fearless gladiator. His battle prowess was only matched by his loyalty to Michael, who he adored and considered his brother, his leader, and his best friend. However, he was the first to learn of the dangers with interfering with the mortal world. In order to fully manifest his power, Zachariah had to actually be present. There was a war started between Nocturne and Fraxen, hundreds of years past. This was a war that, ultimately, decided whether Vaet Nocturnum or Vangelism would dominate the mortal world. He could not afford to let the battle be lost.

So he manifested, and changed the tide of the battle in Fraxen's favor, ultimately securing their victory. However, the cost for this was great. It turned out that the battle was a scheme by Makath to lure out the angel, who was then ripped away from Axiom by Kala, and thrown into hell. For years he was tormented, tortured and abused. For years he begged for death, and begged for Michael to come save him. And then for years he began to hate the angels for abandoning him, and the weak stomach of his maker. He was twisted into a fallen angel, like Ezekiel, and made to revere Kala rather than despise her. Everything he ever was had been twisted and shaped in a wholly contradicting way, and yet he could not see the difference. He felt as righteous as he had ever been, and imagined that he would be righteous forevermore.

        XXXAttracting his attention
One with immense valor and bravery can catch his attention. In that regard, he is similar to Antony. However, he picks his servants well. Despite being a fallen angel, a creature more of the inclination of a demon, he is mostly neutral. He simply watches over war and carries out the fate of men, and he is inclined to someone with similarly neutral virtues. In reality, however, it is hard for him to take interest in anyone. In the odd chance you have to happen upon him, whether from inside a vessel or in some other strange occurrence, then perhaps he will find you of interest.

XXXKAMINAE, the Sea DECEASED. SLAIN BY AKEEM MALEK, MARIA KAL AND NAI.

The Gate of Hell is a manifestation of Kala's energy. It is the separation between two planes of dimension; the universe of men, and the universe of demons. This Gate is a sentient creature, and of immense power. Many believe it to be a God itself. If that were true, then you could consider Kaminae its champion in her time. As it is said, the young Mer found the Gate against the ocean floor, after following a bright light deeper and deeper into the ocean. The light told her: This is the gate of hell, never once spoken in over a thousand years. And yet, now, it speaks of you. It has told me of your flowing locks, and your power over the sea. It has told me of your family, whose beginnings meant endings for other civilizations. If you would like to see what's inside, then open this door. And needless to say, she opened it.

As a result, the Mer became a demon, a twisted creature. She became hideously large and highly malevolent, even disregarding her own people. She was told to continue sacrificing to the Gate in order to retain any semblance of beauty, otherwise she would rot over time and eventually fade into nothingness. From this point on, she has been a tormented and hateful creature. Kaminae is, at least from what is known, the strongest creature to exist on the physical plane of Axiom. While she is nothing compared to the Tier 3s and higher, amongst other physical creatures she is comparable with a God, and so many worship her.

        XXXAttracting her attention
She is highly wrathful, and so rarely offers her diplomacy. However, since she is not omniscient and has an actual, physical form, the best way would be to directly confront her. Most likely, though, she'd just try and kill you, and she'd probably succeed.

XXXELESSIA, Justice and Punishment DECEASED. SLAIN BY AURIEL TIRANUS AURELIA CASSANDRA DAMIEN ALEXANDRA RUAH.
        VANGELISM
Destroy them all. When the humans grew unruly, and would seek to destroy themselves and others, she was the first to speak against them. It was her influence that ultimately led to the flood, where all mortal life was washed away. Elessia is one of the younger angels, created not long before Michael stopped creating period. However, her overwhelmingly radical sense of justice quickly drew the attention of other angels to her. She presented herself as an exceptionally wise and decisive member of their hierarchy, and within some time drew the support of her peers. However, she was more loyal to Michael than anyone. She would never dare try to influence his actions through anything but diplomacy, as her strict sense of justice dictates that she never strike or grow unruly. That is also her ethic with literally anyone. She will never lay the first punch, but when crossed, she won't turn the cheek. She will rip you into a scab on the earth and leave you until you rot.

That is her philosophy. Justice means everything to her, even if it is found excessive. However, she only applies her sense of justice to physical violence. Simply hurting someone's feelings, even through intense bullying, means nothing to her. What matters is the ability to control your temper and think rationally. When someone cannot do that, they must be punished, and in whichever way necessary so that they do not do it again. Excessive punishment is alright, but to a point. She would not condone killing someone simply for a slap or a punch. Otherwise, you are then the murderer who cannot control themselves, and you must be put down. She is a very difficult Goddess to appease.

Her followers are met with duty. She does not try and make bonds of friendship or trust. She does not trust anyone or grow too faithful in anyone, because all are capable of corruption. And when they do become corrupt, regardless of her prior disposition towards them, they will receive justice as well.

        XXXAttracting her attention
Someone who has a strong sense of justice is rare to find. Many who believe themselves just do it simply to glorify themselves, rather than to protect others. Someone with the selfless need to protect the weak would surely stand out to her. She has actually had many champions in the past, many of them from Fraxen. An example of one was Gallagher, a Knight who had his face burned away as a child. Despite being nobility, even the most common scum and criminals had ridiculed him for his entire life. He was outcast. And yet, despite this, he understood that this cruelty was born of the injustice in the world. He sought to rid of evil, and developed the first semblance of a Paladin order. He reigned as her champion until his death, where he battled a group of vampires who had slaughtered a village all by himself, dying valiantly and forever securing a place at Her side.
