I looked up an item I know I own, and when I hovered over "you own this item", a message popped up saying "you have 1 item in your inventory". and I do. because I'm wearing it now. I looked up a game item, and it gave me the "1 item message", but that must be what you were talking about before. so I looked up an item I knew I had 2 of, and sure enough, "you have 2 items in your inventory". so yes, it does. it's a tooltip. I thought there was a way to turn this off and on, figuring that perhaps Zemalia has it turned off, but I can't find out anything about them other than what they are.

Beware of TnT Good, I'm not crazy. I find it very useful. I find the "you own this item" message useful in itself...when I pay attention to it. cat_gonk but yes, knowing how many I have is incredibly useful. if only they could apply the count to game items though.
