Slow and careful, that's how she had to walk for him. He kept stumbling and that made her cautious of the speed and distance in which they moved. The streets were surprisingly empty, but it was a school day and it was a small college town. She hummed softly, enjoying being close to someone again as they trekked down thee main roads. She came to a stop in front of a small cafe on a street corner, a bright neon sign reading 'open' dangling in the window.
She pushed the door open, allowing him to pass through the doorway before her and allowing her to notice the small bell on the door before closing it behind them. A wall on one side was liked with booths, while another had a bar and a door to the back. Along the back of the bar sat a long open coffee brewery, sitting only an aisle away from the bar where patrons could sit. The rest of the room was filled with tables of varying sizes and a jukebox in the corner. She glanced around the cafe with a lazy grin.
"You choose the seat, doll."

Vincent took in a few deep breaths, as the walk drained most of his energy. But he was glad to get some fresh air.. it had felt like forever since he left the campus. The head master simply smiled at her, and walked over to one of the booths in the back. He sat down and flinched a bit, from how cold the leather booth seats were. God, they keep it like a meat locker in here! he thought, as he shivered. Vincent rubbed his eyes a few times, before looking at her. "So, tell me about this 'dragon sickness'.. " he asked, with a hint of curiosity in his tone.

Heated hands took hold of shivering ones across the table before she rose and reseated herself next to the shivering demi-god. She could understand why he would be freezing, having changed temperatures so violently hours beforehand, and now he was weak and in an lightly cooled area, he would be frozen. She was warm enough so she would aid. She brought him to lean against her as she though of how to word it properly word her answer. It wasn't very hard to answer, just she could say something stupid and mistakenly offend someone.
"Dragon sickness... is a term used by our kind for... our... rather unusual habit of coveting and hoarding precious metals and gems. It makes us crazy and we hut these things down when we don't have enough. As you can see, I have fallen victim to it. I can't go without my jewelry and hair pieces..." She looked away in shame, her sickness being one of her most hated subjects. It was a subject of shame for her people to be brought so low as to crave rarities with a violent fervor.

Vincent nuzzled against her a bit. He could really go for some hot tea, since it was favourite thing to get here. He hummed slightly, as warmth spread through out his body. Vincent glanced up at her when she described it, and only smiled softly. As much of a "curse" as she says, he thought it was unique. The head master then sighed softly, and coughed a few times. "Well in that case, I suppose I'll have to buy you something nice, some day. But for now, would you care for some tea?" he murmured weakly, as he flipped through the small menu.

She perked up swiftly and stared at the space before them. He would... buy... her something? He would purchase something for her to wear? But? Why? She shook her head, throwing out the beginnings of doubt and smiled at the other softly.
"T-thank you... I... Let me go get that for you." She rose slowly, making sure he wouldn't freeze by placing one of her warmest scarves on him and went to the counter. She signaled for the barista on duty, a young boy from another town over, and ordered their drinks, throwing in a couple of warm treats to help Vincent. She quickly and discretely pulled money from a purse tied to her thigh and paid for the whole of the order. She gave the barista a sly smirk and walked back to the table, pulling a feather from her hair and playing with it. She slid back into her spot, deftly placing her feather into his hair and returning to holding his shivering hands again.

Vincent glanced at the feather, and smiled softly. He freed his hand for a moment, and pulled a few dollars out of his pocket. "Don't try to be slick, this was my treat." he joked, handing her the crisp dollars. Vincent then wrapped his cold hands around the hot cup of tea, and hummed slightly, before taking a sip. He smiled, looking back at her, as his eyes began to glow. The God shivered a little, and gripped the cup a bit tighter

She smiled softly, taking the offered money and sliding it away, planning on giving it back to him at a later time. She took a sip of her own drink, staring out the window at the falling autumn leaves. She leaned against the demi-god lightly to feel for tremors and noticed nearly nothing. She hadn't realized he was staring at her as she took in the world outside. It was so different from where the grew up and where she moved about after that. She smiled softly, her feathers fluffing again in joy.

Vincent glanced out the window for a moment, before looking back at her. He lifted his hand gently, and pulled her face to his, before kissing her again. The God opened his eyes as he pulled away, and his face had turned a bit pink. He had never felt so nervous, yet still so comfortable, with any one before. At least, not in a while. The barista looked up and smiled at them both, before returning back to wiping off a near by table.

Ice colored eyes slid along the line of shops that lined the opposite side of the street, taking in all the details she could with her resurrected eagle like vision. It was easier than window shopping and she never had to move an inch. Her attention was pulled from staring at the new fashions being put out by the small shops when her chin was gripped gently and she was pulled into a soft kiss. She chuckled softly at his abashed actions following the kiss, the slight blush looking good on the once pale skin. She turned her attentions to the outside once more to find something she hadn't seen since her traveling time.
It was discrete, something that the dull eye wouldn't catch very easily. But she did. And she was overjoyed at the prospect that it brought to her. It was a small doorway, nestled tightly between two shops. The door looked old, an old stained glass door whose colors had dulled by the sun and time. A small sign reading 'open' sat on what she supposed was a nail hanger in the center of the door. Small doorways between shops were common in large towns and cities. It meant a small, antique and interesting shop. And where there were antiques, there was usually a steal for old jewelry! She smiled brightly at the thought and made her mind quickly.
With a slow stretch, she moved out of the booth, a pop escaping her spine as she moved. She pulled Vincent into a slow and soft kiss, transferring her warmed shawl to his shoulders in his moment of inattention and whispered she would only be a short while. She made her way to the door, pulling the barista close and telling him softly to care for the other until her return. All she needed was the quick nod and smile and she was off. The outside air was a bit brisk, but she payed it not mind as she had her attention set on the small door that would lead her to something interesting... At least that's what she hoped.
Twenty minutes later found her walking back out of the store, a good amount of coin lighter, but a good amount of items heavier. Rose gold hugged her ears in the form of cuffs, intricately carved bone hung from her lobes, mother of pearl rings slid through her lips, held tightly shut against carved hematite balls. Several picks of bone sat in her hair, barrettes of abalone clipped into braids. A small leather pouch at her side hit her hip as she walked, full of more jewels and items she'd bought. Bought wasn't right term though... More like, bartered for. The shop was all she thought it would be and more.
The small door led to a dimly lit staircase that smelled of old cedar and blue sage. Her sinuses burned at the scent, being more of a decorative scent and not a purifying agent. Decorative scents like this hurt her nose greatly as it was overly potent and was not natural. She made her way up quickly, holding her breathe as best she could till she reached the top. She noticed a small incense burner at the top and sighed in relief that it wasn't the smell of the shop. If anything, it was to ward most people off. Urania wasn't most people so she pushed through the next door which looked eerily like the first door and smiled brightly at the small shop that greeted her.
The smell of cedar was very potent, mixed with a soft earthy tone and the gentle scent of white sage. The walls were lined with bookshelves of old tomes and glass cases full of a number of different items, mostly jewelry. Tables about the room held bowls, books, potion ingredients, and a number of other items. Her eyes quickly caught on the jewelry cabinets and she made a be line there. After several moments of picking out what she wanted, her attention was drawn to a dark feeling coming from a specific glass cabinet. The glass was black but still translucent, the wood about it was pale and old, making the cabinet itself seem ancient, but what was interesting wasn't the cabinet, but it's contents... It felt wrong. Heavy and dark. 'Cursed items', her mind supplied and she finally realized where she was. She was in a Caravan child's store! An elderly lady, the shopkeeper she would soon learn, caught her attention and soon a bargaining game began between the two, voices raising and wine being shared. She left some time after, laughing and telling the woman she would return soon. She may spread word around the school about the place... Or keep it to herself. It mattered not.
She reentered the cafe with her usual Cheshire grin, her eyes shining in pure mirth at her purchases. She waved the barista over and ordered another round of drinks with small sweets. She then slid into the booth again and nudged against the chilled man. She took her shawl back and nuzzled him, still smiling like the cat that got the canary and the creme.
"I found a caravan child! And we had a nice time bartering over items. You may like it in there. Old books of old knowledge, odd pieces of technology and weaponry, cursed items, potion makings, and amazing old fashioned jewelry!"

Fire shot up form the ground then faded leaving behind a hooded figure,he grabbed the handle to the door and opened it and stepped into the small Cafe,he made his way to the Batista and gave his order before paying. His order came fast so he took his drink and headed to a table,he took note of the headmaster and a teacher sharing a table but he didn't give them so much as a nod as he passed them.He knew school was still going but frankly he could care less right now,he took his set and pulled his hoodie around him self more before taking a drink form his steaming tea.

Shiro opened the door to the cafe. With classes now over for the day, it was time to work. He surveyed the dining area, noting the headmaster, a teacher, and another student. He headed toward the back, to see what needed to be done now that he was there. As the manager, all he expected was a bunch of paperwork, though.

Logen was just sitting drinking his tea when his head started to pound and he brought at hand up to his head and clenched his teeth.Damn it...wait somethings not right. He says more or less to him self. I can't feel Drake's magic energy, even form here I should still be able to feel it. He thought then he closed his eyes as he reached out with his senses, after a moment his eyes snap open and he stands up and runs out the door,he then jumped into the air as a set of fire wings formed on his back and he flew off at a very high rate of speed.

Vincent noticed when the students had walked in. He noded to them, while he sipped on some tea. The God began to doze off, waiting for Urania to re appear. Besides, he was in no rush at all. It felt nice to get out and see the towns. After a bit, he woke to Urania's voice, and smiled softly. She seemed so thrilled, and he was truly happy for her. He simply nodded, before laying his head back on the cool table. Every thing seemed to be spinning, and he wasn't feeling well. Maybe I should get back to my room. The poor Ruhk has dealt with me enough today. Pull it together Vince! his mind seemed to yell, quite loudly. But it was muffled, due to the loud ringing in his ears. The head master drifted back into total blackness, as the sounds of the world slowed completely, and disappeared.

Victoria walked into the cafe, hoping to get some iced coffee and maybe a peanut butter cookie. She loved peanut butter. A strong scent of blood hit her nose, and she quickly darted her eyes around, locking them on the collapsed male. Oh, Vince.. he looks so pitiful! she whined a bit under her breath, and rushed over to him, smiling softly at Urania. She knew the fellow teacher, being how Nurse Faythee almost always spoke of her. Vic simply shot her a quick glance, before lifting the head master up and propping him up. I guess my coffee will just have to wait. she sighed to herself, before supporting him as best she could. "Urania, I'm going to take this snooze fest to the infirmary, to check up on every thing. You're welcome to join, but it's a bit crowded in there, due to a few students wanting to pitch in." she chuckled, scratching behind her ear a little. She knew she needed to get him to the infirmary, since he had lost a lot of blood. She could smell it a mile away. Vic tugged him a bit, and made her way back to the campus infirmary.

Everything happened so fast, Urania could barely blink. First she returned to the headmaster, a ball of sunshine, ready to present him with her gifts, when Victoria pops up seemingly out of nowhere and whisks him away! She blinked slowly several times, her hair falling back down flat and her features smoothing back out to what her students knew her as. She breathed slowly in.... and out.... in... and-SNAP!!!
Her hand raised to her hair during her breathing and snapped part of an ivory hair piece she had in. It was charmed to withstand anything, but she gripped it viciously. Her eyes opened, icy and pin pointed, her hand still clutching the ivory till it turned to dust. Rage boiled in her blood. And she knew why.
Rage wasn't uncommon to her people, just very unlikely. Blood lust, however, was rare. Urania craved blood. And the only reason a roc would ever crave for blood was if they were in a thrall. The thrall of dragon sickness. The dark recesses of her rational mind tried to comprehend why on earth she would have the thrall now, but it was silenced swiftly by her more dominant thoughts.
She had her 'gold'.
Someone took her 'gold'.
"Oh that just won't do."
With a large, devilish grin, she rose from her seat, dust in hand, and strode from the cafe. She would find where her 'gold' went, and maybe break something in her 'search'. She walked for a bit before she let part of her shift take hold and grant her her gift of flight. It took her no time to cover ground that way.
