"Well, here we are." Lilith and Kiba appeared out of thin air in the middle of Lilith's ridiculous living room. What a condo! Sure, it was still modest for a woman of her status, but damn. Kiba dropped to the floor like a sack of potatoes and stayed there.
"Wow, you really did go all out, didn't you." She sighed and got a blanket. "I'll never understand what goes on in that head of yours... You fighters and your machismo." Shaking her head, she gently placed the blanket over Yuuto. Now it was time for sweet dreams. Dreams of victory.
"b***h, answer me!" A lamp exploded against a wall in a room down the hall of the main room they'd teleported into, with that red stuff just sprawling, seeking new land. Lilith, mother of all Succubi, came stomping out to see what was the matter
"I'm working in here--OH MY s**t what'd you do?" She said pointing to Melanie. It looked like a human. "You aren't a cat; why are you bringing dead things home?"
"She's not dead! ... Yet." She said under her breath. "Look though." She nodded to Melanie so that Lilith might take a closer look at what was really happening.
"... That's, well, interesting. I still don't get it: what's so special about this one?" Lilith was apparently blind to sacred gears.
"That thing was powerful. Do you feel like? It's chomping at the bit to get at one of us when it's done with her. ... I think it's a sacred gear."
"And you want to...?" Lilith and Lamia were so in-tune now it wasn't even funny. She just wanted her daughter to say it. Lamia sighed.
"I want to turn her into a piece to make sure of that. Plus, assets. We've got to--"
"Play the game, yes, I see... That's not bad, I guess. But we're doing this one smart; three pawn pieces and... Other maneuvers." She gave Lamia that trademark Orino look. The good daughter nodded as Lilith readied her pieces and herself grabbed a towel for Melanie's head... You know, for comfort.
This next part would be tricky. They had to wait until she died. A simple illusion of a hospital bed death would be sufficient to keep the "OMG, why aren't you helping!" at bay, and the beast, well, that would be the tricky part. As soon as Melanie croaked the thing would come at one of them. Lilith had to be the one to do the procedure, so Lamia offered herself as the dummy for the sacred gear. The really question was whether or not the gear would take back its host after it knew it was dead.

Melanie Du Coteau Sacred Gear:Vritra's Tail: Devil's spine.
Stealthy, strong, long reach and flexible. The black dragon's tail was one of it's many deadly assets. The tail itself is a wonderful yet terrible weapon. You see, the tail feeds on the host's spine until it completely devours it and takes it place. This not only grants the bearer full use and potential of this gear, but if the tail breaks... well you may get an Idea of that would happen to your body.
It it said that the tail holds a personality of it's own, vicious and vindictive, it requires constant dotting and spoiling to keep it at bay. Legend tells Vritra made people squirm and screech their lifes out of their lungs to ease it's tail and lead it to a tranquil slumber.
Listening to : Beauty of Anihilation The redhead was more confused, what had just happened? what was this place she got herself into? There was little to no room for thoughts as the pain increased, and the tail enjoyed Melanie's squirms in agony while mother and daughter discussed about something neither Melanie or the gear cared about. Melanie wanted to live, while the gear longed to provide her with a beautiful death.
The redhead would find herself soon in a hospital bed, she couldn't understand why or how? For all she knew she could be already on her last moments. The time passed slowly for her as soon her lips would not be able to pronounce a single word. The tail would continue to rip trough her body with amusement as it sensed nearby lifeforms that it could jump to once it was done with Melanie. One by one, they would hear Melanie's ribs cracking one by one, the tail was playing with her. Extending every moment it could to extract the purest moments of agony from it's host.
Melanie's eyes teared up, she could feel that thing crawling inside her and nesting it's body around her heart. She stared at Lamia with genuine fear. She didn't wanted to die. She didn't at all. She tried to hold her hand as if that would help her cling to life itself but as she did, the tail slowly began hugging the heart, slowly but surely shrinking it's space to palpitate.
Melanie was desperate, she didn't wanted to die. The tail would be trilled to squeeze little by little the vital organ, until it no longer could expand, only shrink. The time was painful and desperate for Melanie who felt her strength fading away, and the light of her eyes was leaving along with Melanie's last breath.
Even so, Melanie died, laying as a beautiful corpse, all of her features left with exquisite detail. Should one clean up the blood, she would look perfectly as a porcelain doll modeling on that bed.
Sensing it's demise, the tail didn't even hesitated and darted against it's nearest prey, being Lamia. Suddenly increasing it's size as if it were a giant viper that lunged against the succubus trying to trap her just as it had done with Melanie in the past.
Finally, the moment of truth had arrived. That last breath of Melanie's pushed the scaly leviathan at them at an acceleration quite impressive. "Now, mom!" Lamia was flying around the small apartment as fast as she could, but there wasn't quite fast enough; from the outside it looked like a python killing a rat. This rat, however, had tricks up its sleeves.
Lamia flew out the panoramic window to the sky. Here she would keep flying somewhat close to the window, teasing the beast's reach and hopefully angering it enough to keep locked on her.
Lilith was busy with Melanie. Time was of the essence, and she had three pawns to put inside the redhead before the creature could tear up the place. And there was the matter of Melanie's soul; it couldn't leave. If it did it would likely go to the Underworld as a citizen and remain human forever. This was it! One, two pieces went into the girl. "Just a little longer Lam!" Shouted Lilith from the living room.
"Hurry! This thing is creepy!"
"You're such a baby!"
"Says the person completely out of danger." Lamia smirked.
"Oh, yeah, I could just stop. You know, not help you out."
"Ok~! Fine~ Hurry though!" Lamia didn't want to admit it, but she loved these moments of danger. It was like that time in Greece all over again.

Listening to : Beauty of Anihilation The tail would keep chasing Lamia all over the house, making a mess of everything it ouched or collided with.
The girl's lifeless body kept assimilating the pieces inside her while Lilith continued with the preparations.
Being close to trap Lamia on different occasions. Yet, as she flew outside the window and amplified it's evasiveness on it, the tail paused for a moment when it heard Lilith's voice. Turning over, the tail appeared to rush over to the mother of succubus when there were just 2 pawns inside Melanie. Yet this was a set up. The moment Lamia would fly inside the house, the tail would attempt to slam her against the floor and if successful, wrap itself around her body. Binding it's prey before it would start devouring it's spine to take it's place.
Melanie's soul however, began feeling weaker by the second, it was about to pass away, Liltih would need tons of concentration to add the last piece. Would she make it in time? Would Lamia be captured? If so, would the gear return? With Melanie alive once more there was a strong probability that the tail would return to it's old Vessel..
This was it! Lilith and Lamia were almost done. The tail wouldn't quit though. It was headed toward Lilith now and the gig was seemingly up.
... But this wasn't the girls' first rodeo. Lilith kept right on, loading the last piece into Melanie without any worry on her face. Lamia had planned for this possibility when the tail followed her out to the window. The illusion was set up to activate when the beast changed targets and went after Lilith. It would see Lilith scream and become its new hostess, but in reality the old host would be its destination. At this time Lilith was reactivating the pawn's lifeforce. In truth this type of timing was necessary, for if Melanie were brought back too see the girl would be likely killed by the re-entering of the sacred gear. If too late, then one of the Succubi would be in danger of being the unlucky host. "Awaken and rise, Pawn Orino!" Lilith called to Melanie who was just becoming alive again, now as a stronger, more resilient succubus.

Listening to : Beauty of Anihilation The tail bite the bait with ease, it was strong, fast but not too clever. And so it embraced the reviving body of Melanie, carving it's way through her flesh to devour and replace the girl's spine. The sound of cracking bones could be heard of as the spine extended, enoughto create a tail which wrapped around it's new host to prevent further resistance. It was then when Lilith's hair became crimson, her body became younger and lightly thiner, some curves were lost while others were diminished. The tail knew by then that it had been tricked which it didn't like. Then again, feeling the strength of this new body, the tail wouldn't complain that much, as it still had a new toy to play with, which opened it's golden eyes at the call of her mistress.
Tired, mostly due to the harmful assimilation, the succubus would rise it's gaze to meet the one who called her from the dark. Confused, vulnerable, she remained on the floor, trying to figure things out but with no actual progress. All she knew was that she was awake.
"W-what is this place?"
She asked, yet it was unsure if she made the question towards Lilith and Lamia or if she was just asking herself. None the less, it wouldn't take long before the fear would strike in.
"What are you talking about?" asked Lilith in a voice that began to change and become more sweet, more like a mother's voice. Melanie would feel a feeling of general warmth course through her like fresh, clean blood. This is what it would feel to awaken into an eternal dream. "You're in class. You never left." Lamia was rolling her eyes behind the newborn Succubus.
"Melanie... It's time for school... Melanie.... MELANIE." As she was hearing her name called Lilith was prepping the teleportation circle beneath her. As they teleported back to class in a moderate flash of light Melanie would hear the last call to her meant to wake her up. Back to class for this demoness!

▁▂▃▄▅▆▇♕▇▆▅▄▂▁
Lilith and Lamia ruffled the whole place like a Parakeet's plumage on a brisk morning. Papers flew, words on them and amid them. The only thing that seemed to be safe, an off-centered eye in the storm if you will, was Kiba's room. To accompany the new noise was a beat of angrily washed and stacked dishes.
"Mom..." It was like Lamia was verbally checking for a pulse, perhaps in the way a viper would taste the air, or more accurately as a bat... She'd never like that thought. If it occurred to her Lamia would without hesitation shake it clean from her head; the notion of being an old bat! There were some things you just didn't point out, and the similarities between the graceful wing of the Succubus and a bat's was one of them. "Mom, you can't rage clean all night... Though that red spot," Spot? Ha! "could use some attention." Lilith sighed and slowed her steelwool roll.
"Yeah, well that," she said nodding to the sanguine throw rug, "was a lot easier than what Janus is dealing with."
"What's going on?"
"She didn't tell you!" Annoyed, but justifiably so, Lilith turned to face Lamia. "I thought we were a team! ... Right, whatever. She's dealing with one of those--how do you say--nosy brats."
"Oh yeah, you really searched for that one." Lilith slammed her gaudy ring on the edge of the counter. In the other room a groaning could be heard as an answer.
"Damnit, Lamia!" Lamia froze. She saw her demon form earlier, why did this surprise her? "This is serious. The whole thing about the truce was we agreed to keep the humans out of our business. If--"
"Yeah, but what about the tournament? All kindsa houses are recruiting for that..."
"You didn't let me finish. There are special sanctions and a process all these new devils have to go through to get to the tournament, to show character I guess. But my point," she squinted, "before I was so RUDELY INTERRUPTED, was: what do you think would happen if someone like that got into our world?"
"Someone like what?" Lamia asked blinking.
"You know, the nosy type. Thinks she's a Pulitzer prize winner in the making. Plus, Janus told me she can tell what anything is by looking at it. Said it was a sacred gear. I disagree, but the point is she identified a reaper, three other demons, and Janus herself in human form... We couldn't even do that." Lilith was looking down now, arms folded like a futon. She looked up and gave Lamia that burning stare to melt the implications into her skull.
"... You're serious, huh?" Lamia readjusted herself and pulled out a chair for dear mother. "So you think she'll just tell everyone about devils and whatnot? ... That's serious."
"Yeah." Lilith sat, that pouting face that said "damnit, I hate my job" was on in full force. "I just... When did this become so complicated? I used--we used to have nothing to worry about but us. That's why we kept our peerage to just the three of us--and we barely let Janus in at all!"
"Mom, I know."
"That was enough, though, right? The quota? It was seriously hard! ... Until we got going. Now we have to care about other people? Angels even? And do you know how hard it is to make quota with all this hushhush stuff? All the angels and patrol freak are always--"
"Mom, I know." Lilith shook her head.
"Then why aren't you freaking out!"
"Well, because I know that when we started we could barely make quota. After a while, though, we started gaining momentum. Now we don't even need to think about it hardly. So, yeah, impossible... We've done that before." Lamia's smile was undeniable. Lilith just scoffed and then started to laugh at her naive--far too naive for her years, let's be honest--daughter.
"You're such an idiot." Lamia kept on smiling like one. "Alright, whatever. Janus is at the Maid cafe in Kuoh. Apparently Astaroth is there." She put up a hand to stop Lamia's protest. "I'm not worried about Janus, but we need to keep that nosy twerp from doing whatever it is she does. You know how these humans are; as soon as they start figuring out the powers that be they get scared--"
"When they figure that out they get scared of how powerless they are; when they get scared they want power so they feel in control again. Mom, I know!" Lamia finished the old wisdom with a laugh. "How do we stop them?"
"...Wait." Lamia'd fnally caught on. "Is this the girl Janus and I showed you before?"
"Yes!"
"Oh, crap, this is serious!"
Just then, as if a soundtrack to the moment "hitting her" a bang was heard from room where Kiba was being held. Both Succubi flew down the hall to find a flash of light and Kiba's ghost.
"Well, that happened..." Said Lamia.
"Oh, shut up. I haven't even told you about the rider." By this time Lilith was already packing up.
"The what now?"
"C'mon, I'll explain on the way. We can't let Kiba get too far." And like that the two set out to find the rogue knight.
The trip there would feel like a daydream that had passed by without leaving a memory of itself. Suddenly Lilith and the girls would be at the door of her apartment. Looking at the doorknob, Lilith remembered she ought to cover up that bllodstain in the living room. "Well, here we are, guys!" She said on opening the door. The place was looking good, and thank goodness these two from Kuoh wouldn't see Kiba. "It's not much, but it has everything I need. Go ahead and make yourselves comfortable." It'd been a while since she kept human company. Surely the alliance would be all over her for this, but she didn't have time to deal with that. Instead Lilith concerned herself with hostess duties: cold drinks, entertainment, all that crap.
"Laura should be back any time now..." What the heck is she doing??
Lilith pulled out her phone and started texting her daughter. "Where the Hell are you!"
"Hi mom! smile"
"Shut up! Get home... Your friends are here." There was a pause....
"Turn the blue haired one if you have to. I've got something... Interesting to deal with." After that Lilith didn't check her phone any more.
"So, I take it Laura was talking about me. That's flattering! How'd you guys meet my daughter?"
When they reached the apartment Setsuko's head felt a bit fluffy but she ignored it chalking it up to nerves. Entering the home Setsuko removed her shoes and stepped inside. The decoration didn't seem the sort you normally see in Japan but given Laura's name sounded very western it would make sense. "It...It's a bit embarrassing." She then remembered what Laura had said about her mother drawing doujin and realized she would understand. "She read a yuri doujin I had written and asked to join the Manga Club." Her face flushed as she said this. "She mentioned you also drew doujin and said I should meet you."
"Oh, my... You're one of those," Lilith said covering her smile. She held up a finger and went off to a room back in the small apartment. A moment later she'd return with some drawing equipment. It was just regular pen and paper, but thanks to some illusions it was a full manga set.
"Here. The first thing I learned to do was copy others. I knew how to draw, but I didn't really know how until I started copying people who were better, more experienced than me." She began putting down some lines. They were nearly perfect. Suffice to say you can pick up a lot of hobbies in six thousand years, and Lamia'd given her one of her favorites in drawing. Heaven forbid she do ceramics... Ew. She never did understand how Lam could do that. "Now you." It was a perfectly ecchi picture of Melanie. Lilith giggled and looked at the redhead whenever Setsuko realized it.
"Hey... What was your name?" She said to Melanie. "Would you mind posing for us?" That voice was the epitome of seduction. She was definitely Lamia's mother.
Setsuko swallowed before taking up the pen and paper. She took in a few deep breaths to calm herself and looked at Lilith's drawing, it was beautifully done and clearly the work of a professional. As soon as Setsuko put pen to paper her hand was almost a blur, she didn't remove the pen from the paper for a second, the whole drawing made up from one long line. It was only a few seconds before she finished and pushed the paper towards Lilith with a nervous look on her face. "I...is this okay?" The image was an exact copy of what Lilith had drawn only moments before.

Melanie flustered upon looking at Lilith's painting, it was too... real. Of course she would normally object, even for a succubus this was too much to process given how, weird it felt to be near Lilith, especially on this place. Something felt odd. However, Lilith carried one of the sweetest voice Melanie had ever heard. And without a thought, her body move on her own moments later after Lilith asked for a moment. "Would it be okay if I keep my clothes on for now?" She asked, sitting on a small couch in front of them, being near Lilith, she felt exposed.
