Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter? In truth, Ana thought they had sought her out specifically. It made perfect sense; it was a secret organization that promised to rid the world of the same evil she was already fighting, as far as she knew. Clearly, recruiting her just made sense.
She didn't like the idea of being in an organization that would know her, at first. She enjoyed her anonymity. It felt empowering. She liked punching a guy in the face for stealing someone's wallet, and being able to walk past that same guy in the morning, as he was carted off to jail. Anonymous. Undetected. It was a rush.
It wasn't hard to convince her that they had cooler toys, however. And a sweeter mission - not just the evil humans, anymore. The shadows that she'd always assumed just gathered when somebody was about to do something awful were now the number one enemy. She'd never actually fought a shadow, before.
But her guild was going to be
pissed.
