 Rose, or Rosie as her parent's called her, was in her mother's arms, having been on the run for a while now. She was about 3 months old right now and a big daddy's girl. From the time she was born she loved when he would play with her when they were not running form the home they were in at that time. She was scared and started crying in her mother's arms as all the running had startled her very much.

 Iciera Ravorwood held her daughter close to her bosom, doing her best to protect her as she ran alongside her husband. A civil war had just ended in their kingdom just before Rosie was born, but not much time passed before the neighboring country waged war on the poor kingdom. The king had instructed a knight to aid in Ciera and her husband's escape, knowing that the three of them were the only hope for the country. Ciera looked down at Rosie and said, "It's alright, Rosie. We'll reach safety soon... But you must stay quiet." Then she looked up at her husband. "I-it's no use... I can't keep up like this. I'm a mage, not an athlete..."

 Firenze Ravorwood ran with his wife and daughter, leading ahead of them as they traveled through the countryside outside the capital city. Firenze looked back at Iciera, "Just a little further. We need to get to the treeline first. I'd carry you, but I'm not sure how well I can carry the two of you."

Iciera nodded her head as she looked up ahead of them at the treeline. It seemed so far away, but she forced herself to keep going. "I just hope that Kedric is alright. He stayed behind to hold off some of those men..." she said, gasping a little at this point. She looked down at Rosie, who she continued to hold in her chest. She felt terrible for the child, being forced to run like this with her at such a young age, but she knew that it couldn't be helped. She only hoped that she, Firenze, and Rosie could still lead a happy life.

Rosie stopped crying as her mother held her close. Being only 3 months old, she was really scared as she gripped Iciera's top in a scared way. She wasn't used to all the running, and as a result, it was scaring her. She was also wondering where they were, not having been outside the castle walls yet. Rosie wanted her stuffed bunny, the one the king gave her when she was born. The king was like an uncle to Rosie, her favourite uncle. As soon as they reached the treeline, she sneezed a bit. She was cold, not used to the harsh winter that was going on.

Iciera pulled her cloak closer around Rosie, sensing that her child was cold from the winter. "We have to hurry. If I don't properly bundle Rosie, she'll get very sick from the cold. I can't summon a flame here without us being spotted." she said, looking up at her husband. To her relief, they were very near the treeline, and Ciera glanced over her shoulder to make sure they were still in the clear. When she saw no one behind them, she slowed her running. "Firenze... I must bundle her... Let me have your belt." she said, removing her cloak. Being an ice mage made her more resistant to the cold weather, though not completely immune to it.

Firenze took off his sword belt, taking the hilt off of it and handing it to her as he ushered her into the snowy trees. "Here, try this." he said, looking around. "And stay here. I'll see if I can find a cave to rest in. I remember one being nearby." He walked a little ways ahead to scout ahead for them.

Rosie stayed quiet shivering as Iciera wrapped her up inside of her cloak and wrapped the belt around her. When Firenze left, she gripped her mommy's cloak in a scared way as she didn't know where he was going. Her little nose was red as a cooked lobster. Though she stopped shivering as her mommy wrapped her in the cloak. Rosie was scared, and didn't know what was going on. She then cooed a bit as she looked up at her mama wanting to go home as she didn't know they couldn't go back to the warmth of the castle. Poor Rosie was so confused by this time, unable to understand why they couldn't go back. She missed her animal friends and the king as he was really nice to her. She wanted her bunny and as a result, she started groaning like she was going to cry again as she wanted her bunny badly.

After wrapping their child up in the cloak to warm her, Ciera started to gently rub her nose to warm it up some. Her hands were unusually warm, despite being an ice mage, and it being winter, and very cold out. As she waited for her husband to return, Ciera sensed that Rosie was going to start crying soon, and knew she missed home very much. So, she started to sing softly, gazing at their daughter lovingly as she sang a lullaby, her voice very soft and beautiful, almost like a crystal bell. She gently stroked Rosie's head from time to time, brushing aside her lovely white hair to try to calm her down.

Rosie held her mommy's free finger as she looked up at her mommy cooing as she heard her mommy singing to her. She felt her sadness melting away. Her little hands were cold but still warm. Iciera's cloak was really warm and it was keeping Rosie really warm and happy. Rosie snuggled up to Iciera, falling asleep as her mommy sang to her softly, enjoying the sound of her mother's lovely singing.

Firenze rushed back a moment later, touching his wife's shoulders as he rejoined them. "I found a cave up ahead. We should be able to start a fire inside to keep warm," he said, gently leading her through the trees toward a hidden cave in a hill. "Now I will warn you, I think it was an ancient burrow of some kind. At least the entrance anyway."

Ciera stopped singing as Rosie fell asleep, sighing softly to herself, thankful that their child fell asleep so quickly. When Firenze grabbed her shoulder, she looked up at him and smiled. "Ancient burrows? Sounds like fun to me. You know mages love ancient burrows and tombs." she said as she stood. She followed him over to the cave. "As long as I can start a fire, I'm fairly certain we'll be alright. Unless a dark mage managed to get in there and practice necromancy on the dead..." she said quietly as she cradled Rosie in her arms.

Rosie was very warm in her mother's cloak. Tho0ugh after a while, she started to get hungry. She started crying a little bit as she stirred wanting to eat. She was only about three months, so she was still being fed by Iciera, and as such, had to be fed every certain number of hours. Rosie started suckling on Iciera's shirt wanting to be fed right away but started crying when she wasn't getting anything.

"Well then I-" he started to say as they entered the cave, looking down at Rosie's clamoring at her mother. He smiled a little. "I'll double check inside the crypt, while you take care of the little one. She seems to be hungry already. ...some things never change no matter the situation, I guess."

She smiled as she sat down on a nearby stone. "Alright, just be careful. Also, if you don't mind gathering some wood so I can start a fire." she said. Ciera slipped her top down just enough so that Rosie could feed from her breast, loosening the cloak a little so she could move her hands and face freely. As Rosie ate, Ciera looked around the cavern, wondering how Kedric was holding back the enemy. She hoped that he wasn't hurt, but wouldn't be surprised if he was overpowered because of an ambush.
