Oh, but don't worry - I put powdered sugar instead of flour, so it'll still have sugar.
Tough: *wrinkles his nose and looks at the batter* Sis... *doesn't want to hurt her feelings. Sighs softly and speaks gently* Are you SURE those will turn out?
Delicacy: *pauses for a minute and hesitantly looks at her batter* Well...no... *perks up again with a shy smile* But that's the fun of experimenting! ...Right? *looks thoughtful* Hmm...maybe I should replace the egg with chocolate. Honey looks kinda like cooking oil and tastes way better! *grabs a bottle and pours an amount in while checking the recipe* There. All done! *mixes it before offering the batter to Tough* Wanna try some?
Tough: *looks at the batter as if it might bite him* ... *looks back at Delicacy* .... *sighs softly and smiles* Certainly. *Just can't be mean to his sister* I'd be happy to try it. Thank you. *sloooowly leans in to try it, licking gingerly* ldfjlskjdkjsdf *shudders from head to toe* S-SWEET!!
Sugar Petal: -drifts into the kitchen after an evening of adding a new plant to her garden, spotting her two siblings as she poured herself some water- "... Is everything alright?" -Oh no. It looked like Tough was the victim of another experiment....-
Delicacy: *happily watches him take a lick before jumping at his reaction, startled* I-i-is that a good thing...or bad? *glances over at Sugar Petal as she comes in* Sugar! Want to try this new batter I just made? I haven't baked it yet...maybe that's why Tough was shuddering...
Tough: *feels naseauted by the batter* Petal.... Uhm... *shakes his head and smiles weakly* It's interesting. Maybe once they are cooked they will be better? It's just a bit sweet and the textures....
Sugar Petal: -Eyes the batter, sauntering forward and taking a spoon, stealing a bite without hesitation. There was a pause, and slowly she lowered the spoon with a stoic face. Okay. This.... this was probably one of the worst attempts her sister had made, but it was fixable. Probably.- "It's a little sweet." -Her voice dropped into a soft whisper to ensure her sister didn't find it harsh.- "We could... we could try a new batter, together? This one is just fine, but I bet we could make it amazing if we just tinkered a little. What do you think, Tough, Delicacy?"
Delicacy: *smiles gratefully as Petal takes a bite* But...it's supposed to be sweet, isn't it? *looks from Tough to Petal and back again* Really? *beams* You'll help me? *happy to spend time with her siblings doing what she loves*
Tough: *relieved when his sister takes the reigns on the conversation* Yes, I think making it together is a great idea! It will be very fun. *eyes sugar petal and smirks* As long as someone doesn't stick in flowers~
Sugar Petal: -Turns a faint pink under her red coat, rubbing at her cheek. Okay, maybe Tough did catch onto her about the flower thing. Hey! Lavender did say some flowers were edible!- "Er, well, of course flowers wouldn't end up in there." -Totally not. Nope.- "Here, what do we need? Eggs? Flour? What are we makin?"
Delicacy: *giggles at her siblings' antics* We're supposed to be making super special muffins. Wait, did you guys mean 'flower' or 'flour'...? Or Wildflour? *laughs* Now I've confused myself...
