This was starting to get old. At least, it felt like it to Rhiannon. So far she'd manage to go through three different dead ends looking for the King, and there were still so many mountains she hadn't even seen yet. It almost felt like she was being assigned her own laundry list and someone went and hid them all on the remote mountaintops of the Dwarven Kingdom. She looked around the surrounding landscapes and their respective positions, each keeping watch over its domain like the points on a compass.

Having been reunited with Goddess (who'd have the good sense to return to the kingdom), she still held hope.

"Here goes nothing."

Once again the pair was faced with the seemingly difficult task of getting out of Camelot in order to make it towards the Winding Forest. She thought for sure she had enough experience with such things after having to go through it repetitively. Ride until it gets narrow, get off and lead, keep walking until the path gets wider, take care of cliffs (and bees). But she was wrong. So very wrong.

Because as soon as she had gotten Goddess to follow her up the path, a dead, gnarled tree trunk began to buzz. An annoying ringing in her ears that didn't seem to stop, even as they bypassed the highly territorial bee colony. And then one decided to land right on the tip of Goddess' muzzle. The horse reared and jumped in circles, attempting to get the offending insect off of her, but the thing wouldn't budge. Ri on the other hand, was trying her best to calm the horse down, trying to grab the reins, but the white animal wouldn't listen to her. Suddenly, Goddess stomped down on the bee-infested log with the force of an avalanche, causing the residents to swarm and attack her and Ri full-force. The Knight-Apprentice had no choice, she ran away from the bees, losing sight of her horse, and headed right for the forest.

Having to run through the mountainous path was quite the challenge when you were being chased by an angry horde of bees. Rhiannon tried her best not to fall to her death to the cliffs below, or worse, lose her footing and fall victim to the bees, so it was surprising when her boots reached the lush, verdant forest. It didn't even seem like she had run the entire length of the pathway.

She fell to the lush grass below her feet, her breath coming out in heavy gasps, and her legs feeling sore. 'Calm down, breathe, get some water...,' she mentally coached herself through the process of getting her heart to stop thundering against her ribcage. She rolled onto her back, attempting to stare at the bright blue sky above and trying to think of happy, soothing thoughts... But none came to her. Why was it so difficult to remember? Ri pressed her palm against her forehead to prevent an oncoming headache. It seemed like every time she tried to remember anything about the past, it had been locked away, to be forever forgotten in the dark recesses of her mind.

Once she got her breathing back down, her throat ached with the want for water. She reached behind her, tossing down her sword and... wait, where was her pack??

Then she remembered. It was attached to Goddess while they were going through the path out of Camelot. And it didn't seem that she was going to come back anytime soon.

This was going to be a long trip.

Parched and hungry, Rhiannon went through the Dwarven Mountains yet again. This area seemed to be particularly shady and full of rocks thanks to what appeared to be a recent rock slide. Plenty of places to hide traps...

Paranoid from her earlier encounters, she held up her sword and jumped at any little sound, almost running through the path... but nothing ever came.

Instead, it looked like the trap meant for her had been already used. And they left their food!

She took as much as she could carry and soldiered on.

Although she was alone yet again, Ri counted her small blessings. She wasn't a human pincushion, she didn't have too many bruises, and she did manage to find food, so all in all it wasn't a bad trip. She knelt down and dug out what looked to be a treasure chest buried in the mountain summit, taking out the mantle and placed it on herself.

"Back so soon?" Asked the wizard she had come across earlier.

"Why are you always around the mountains?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The air is better for my health." He said simply. He tossed her a bundle. "I thought I'd find you again. I hope you onion and banana juice." He waved as he walked away again.

"Crazy old man...," she shook her head.
