This time, venturing outside of Camelot not riding on a pony, Damien felt the vastness of the open field. It was a broken land, rough and uneven underfoot with each step. The glavie over his shoulder was a comfortable weight, a counterbalance on his side that was ready to swing. The lad had heard there was a rouge beast to the east where the mountains lay and the strip of desert before that, attacking riders as they passed by and it needed to be felled. This was his mission today.
Facing doom in the shape of a crab that rose out of the crumbling dirt and sand to greet him, pincers at a lunge that had him scrambling for distance and cover. Fighting at a distance was his specialty, the mobility of him and his Glaive a boon, striking at the shell with a swing of the staff and then re-positioning himself into better cover.

The crab was not a stationary target itself, moving around to follow where Damien ran to, the musical sound of its pincers following the prey and using it to knock him aside. Stars were in his eyes, the bump that sent him against a rock. the Armor did its purpose in protecting the tunic covered flesh beneath, and he was around the protruding rock, swinging away closer to the Crabs Right claw joint, hoping to slow it down.

The Crab was unrelenting with its actions, rushing at him with a full body blow, a withering hit and the retaliation of the glaive to the crown of the shell.

It was a flurry of exchanging blows that distracted the young knight in training, except when the sounds of steel on shell began to multiply. Looking over to the other fighter, Damien gave him a wide berth, crossing behind the lad as a decoy. "Thank you for the assistance, let us dispatch the creature with utmost haste!"
