Tired from walking the mountain path all by herself on foot, Rhiannon stopped at a comfortable-looking rock to rest awhile. It was incredibly lonely for the young knight-apprentice, being without her horse for a long stretch of time made her anxious for the poor animal. And her decision to go a different route didn't help matters either.
"I hope she doesn't get lost...," she said to no one in particular. She sighed. It honestly shouldn't have felt so hard to have lost Goddess. She was a horse, and Ri was a knight, and knights went through all sorts of different horses throughout their lifetimes. But to Rhiannon, Goddess was the only thing in this entire world that she knew for a fact, that had actually
belonged to her. A true friend. Someone who would miss her if she ever...
No, she couldn't think about that now. She was a brave, strong knight. And... and knights didn't cry... about their missing horses... they just...
don't. She pressed her gloved hands against her eyes, drying the tears the best she could.
Suddenly, the bushes next to her rustled with some kind of movement.
Ri jumped off her rock with speed, drawing her blue-colored blade in a defensive stance. She waited with baited breath for something to come and attack her, to jump out of the bushes with vicious claws and red eyes and...
But nothing ever came. Instead, she spied a bundle covered in white cloth. She went back to the rock cautiously, untying the bundle with the point of her sword... and found food!
"Thank you." She whispered to whoever was kind enough to give it to her.
