Recently a new video game has been released that allows people to play while they sleep. Time flows opposite to the real world so that during the day the game is in night mode and vice-versa. As the players fall asleep they turn on the system and put on the head gear that connects to the brain and slips the players consciousness into the game allowing for anyone to both gain their needed rest as well as continue to stay awake within the game world. In theory the system is great but what about in practice? How do the players real lives change as they continue to play? And how do their lives differ in the game? Enemies in real life could end up being best friends in-game and not even know it. So lets see what happens to the players shall we?

So when he heard about "Double Life" he immediately gathered the money he could and got the game and system. He was amazed at how well the game looked and worked. Then when he was ready to make his character it was easy, his usual speedy powerhouse with a nice recovery thrown in for good measure. Once he was in he started to explore hoping to find a team to join as soon as possible.

When she got it, she immediately began to play it, and sometimes will play it when she's not going to bed, and when she's taking "long naps". She loves a good challenge, and is very friendly, but she tends to jump to conclusions fast, even when it's not the right decision. She can be easily persuaded. In-game Special Skills: Dual wielding, "Whirlwind Strike", and enhanced speed. Also in game, her character has kitsune ears/tail as an accessory. It doesn't actually enhance anything.

In-game Race/Role: Cleric/Healer Team: N/A Bio: Tia is a huge gamer, and was very excited about the new game Double Life. She took many miscellaneous jobs to pay for the game when it finally released, and was able to get a special character skin to use, which she chose, a neko costume. She hopes to find a nice group to call her team. In-game Special Skills: Being the special neko costume, Tia has slightly better acrobatics and speed than others. However, her physical attack is weaker because she stands at 3'5" in game, and her defense lacks.

As soon as he finally got home, It was evening so it would be early morning in game, Michael ran up to his room and switched on his game. He grinned a bit thinking he will find a team today. He then put the gaming gear over his head and laid down with his eyes closed. Within seconds he was logged into the game and was in the middle of the beginning town. It was only his second day in the world and he spent the entire first one looking around the town for anything to give him a beginning edge. So today he decided to look for a team. He asked around for a bit in the town to see if any teams were already formed or if anyone wanted to start one but most of the people didn't want one or didn't want anyone else in theirs.

Sir Laurent of the Solar Draco Knights
Lawrence was already in his game, walking through the main town after defeating another dungeon. He was fortunate enough to get early morning shifts at work so he could play as soon we he got home. Some of the newer people gaped at him, recognizing that he was one of the first people on the game, aside from staff, that is. He couldn't help but smirk a little, though he disliked that others were reluctant to join his team because he was so well known.
Luke sighed a bit. He had asked nearly everyone in the town about a team but he couldn't find one. But luckily he was given another chance, he noticed another guy walking into the town, he looked more like a knight so he assumed the guy would be more based around strength and defense and might need a speed character like himself. He had yet to hear of Sir Laurent so had no hesitation o randomly walking up to the man. "Hey there!" He said with a smile as he stood in front of the man.

Tia the Purrfect Cleric
Tiana was wandering around the main town as well, glancing around at the teams that were looking for people. Unfortunately, most of them already had a cleric or healer in them, and had no need for her services in their teams. She continued on until she spotted a knight she recognized as Sir Laurent, otherwise known as the first knight of the game. Her cat ears perked and she rushed through the crowd, slipping easily past people with her small frame and speed.
Kimi, the Dual Bladed Thief
Kimi was finally able to get home from school, and she first grabbed a bite to eat. She was excited to boot up her new game and try it out, so she hurried to her room after dinner. Then she put in her new game and put her headset on. She quickly made her character, already knowing what she wanted to make. Kimi appeared in the main town, swishing her kitsune tail with a grin. Then she shouted, "Allright! Who wants a twin blade on their team!?" She pumped a fist in the air, attracting the attention of everyone around the spawn area.
Holding his staff at arm's length with his left hand in front of his body, Francois kept the giant rat at bay. He turned slightly to his right, bringing his right arm inward while keeping his left in the same place. A bluish-white orb crackled into life in his cupped right palm. Moving quickly, he hopped back with his left foot, snapped his right arm forward and fired a shaft of light at the rat. The magic lance skewered it before it could take an action.
Francois beamed for a moment, before remembering where he was and resumed his half-smile, half-grimace he was "known" for in this game. He approached the slumped rat and searched its body for loot and frowned, genuinely, at the utter lack of it. He turned, making sure his cloak swished juuust right, and returned to town, only a short walk away.
"If I could find a team I could take on bigger and better enemies..." He sighed.

Sir Laurent of the Solar Draco Knights
The knight stopped when he saw a new player approach him. He could hear intense whispers from nearby, most of them in disbelief of a guy who would dare speak with the legend of the game. Laurent crossed his arms over his chest as he looked down at the young man. "If you need assistance, I am not the one to ask. There are tutorials nearby, you know." he said, unsure that he wanted to make a team. Then his ears perked a little as he heard the shouts of a young woman looking for a team. "Excuse me, I'm searching for new recruits for my team, and I don't want to miss this opportunity."
Luke glared a little at the knight. "What kind of jackass do you think I am? I was trying to ask if you wanted a team" He told the man then chuckled as he heard the man again and a voice from a little away shouting out about teams. "You know what I'll go ask her instead" He said with a smile as he ran towards the voice surprisingly fast.
There was a great deal of commotion going on in the square when Francois arrived. From the sounds of things, a bunch of relatively new players had decided to take a proactive approach to getting team members.
This could be my chance, Francois thought as he moved closer to get a better view.
"Allright! Who wants a twin blade on their team!?"
A twin blade would be handy for a mage. She could be a distraction and draw the attention of the monsters while he unleashed the heavy firepower.
"I believe a twin blade could be of use to me," Francois said calmly. He retained a practiced look of bored, passive interest which he believed made him look cool. Mostly, it served to make him look arrogant.
As she logged into the game Destiny looked around wondering what she should do next. It was her first time in the game after looking through a few tutorials. She clutched her bow lightly as she decided to start walking around the starting town. She smiled a bit seeing how well built the game was. She had heard the shouting of another girl but decided to ignore it and head out into the field to gain a few levels before finding a team.
Luke smiled brightly as he got to the source of the voice. Unfortunately someone else had already stepped up to the twin blade. "Hey there. I could use a team too." He said with his smile still on his face.
Tsumi stood in front of the request board near the spawning area looking over the available jobs, uninterested in the events behind her. "Looks like another loudmouth has joined, she said to herself, twirling a rifle shell between her fingers as she pulled one of the requests from the board. 'A couple of dire wolf pelts shouldn't be to hard,' she thought as she headed towards the nearest open field.

Tia's fur bristled as she heard the swordsman yell at her hero, and she rushed through the crowd, leaping onto the swordsman's back. "You'd best take that back!" she hissed, glaring at him. She knew that PVP wasn't allowed in the spawn city, but she couldn't harm anyone even if she tried, since she was a cleric. "You speak to Sir Laurent, the greatest knight in this game! One that is not a developer or admin!"

Kimi beamed up at the mage and said, "Yeah! Sounds great! You're a mage, aren't you? You've got robes on and stuff..." She circled around the mage, then grinned and grabbed his hand, shaking it quickly. "Name's Kimi!" Then Kimi looked at the swordsman with the cat on his back. "Uhh, wow! Sounds like you're having troubles on your own..."
