You know with the heart of town items being and released and Cel's status update, got me to thinking we should be having another RO next summer. Do we need to start preparing some things? I mean not only should we resurrect the Sunrider's and Nightravens and work towards assuring a Barton victory this time, but perhaps also getting the guild itself cleaned up a bit? This could be a chance to grow our member's through the bond of competition*cough* Making them addicted to the crazy Bartob way*

I support this 1000% Plus I kinda wanna get the guild more organized anyway. We need to delete some old/unused forums. Plus, new members is always a plus! emotion_bigheart
Not sure exactly when we should start preparing for RO, but I'm on board. Although... (and it pains me to say this) if we do have RO next year and I still have this job, I will not be able to run the Sunriders.
As for cleaning up the guild, the best that can be done is just removing old threads. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about the excess subforums we created back in the early days when we were way too ambitious. Best we can do is remove all the threads and just leave the empty subforum there. And what's more is navigating the Memory Lane subforum is such a pain in the a**. Apparently there are no pages.

Why not try to convert some of those dusty old subforums into new things? For instance, we could really use a separate subforum for those of us in the Scout RP to post all of our background story stuff on our characters without it taking up space in the OOC subforum. I'd call it the Barton OC History. One of those other old subs could become the contest thread for any random contests people want to run that are not related to the holidays. Of course, this is only if it is possible to rename a subforum.
I do think any old shops that haven't seen activity in the past year should probably be deleted. This'll impact the Art and Market subforums mainly. Any old site event threads with less than 50 replies should probably go too.
I would ask that you leave up my old Caelen's wardrobe contest thread so I can get the info I needed for Cree's prize story. I'll let you know when I'm ready to have it deleted. Obviously the Bartob Glossary and the Archives will stay.
I don't believe we would need an leader per say of the sunrider's if we set thing's up appropriately, perhaps we could take Cel's advice and re purpose some of the sub forum's we don't really need I know they can get renamed I've done it with with my personal guild. As for Memory lane I just believe it has yet to reach the amount of topic's necessary to have more then one page.

That's what I was thinking of doing honestly. Unfortunately I'm only Crew and without promotion, I don't have much power to move/change subforums. However, I can delete and move old normal forums. emotion_hug I can also make announcements, but that's about it. I do think it is a good idea though.
Hm. That could work. I'm really at a loss for what to do with the subforums, so I'll take any suggestions. Most of the general nonsense random kind of threads I will delete, any major event-related or really memorable things I will archive or just leave in the main forum.

Hm. You're probably right. So I'd probably just make the thread for old time's sake and hope people can organize themselves accordingly and form a morning crew. Well Memory Lane has threads from the beginning of the guild, but you can only see up to December 2012 right now.

Here's an idea going off what Kags said and your idea. How about we re-purpose one of those old subforum threads to be the official Sunrider/Night Raven headquarters. We can use that area for RO planning. It'd be easy to link in the old RO event threads, especially since I know we have them linked somewhere else in the guild, but it's kinda in an out of the way spot. I'd like to see us keep an archive list of the participants from year to year,so that is something else we could put in the RO subforum.
Okay here's what I got, this does not count the single copy I have for myself.
10 Barton Bandanas 10 Towns Flags 2 of the Barton Uniforms (not the golden ones) 6 Friendship Leaf Pins 1 Mood Bubble (these are surprisingly rare)
I also have one Barton shirt and one golden uniform for myself.
We need to think about graphics for the event....get them done and ready so we are not scrambling, and we have a banner to recruit with in the meantime. anything we can get on ahead of time...

Wow nice list Hydro, yeah it would be a good idea to get those set especially since Chibi has always made previous BFAA graphic's, and with all the stress she seems to be under with the GCA I don't really want to put that on her if we can get an idea of what we want I could go find a good graphic's shop and buy it.

Indeed you could just post it, and set it up, the only maintenance you should have to do is update the list of Sunrider members as people join up, the same can be done for the Nightrider's. Also I was thinking of having some prizes for some of the people with the highest scores (bribery is always a good motivator) it could be some art( if anyone is willing to do it) if not we could just buy item prizes ( I know the guild mule is low in gold but I can donate some gold to it between when we get what we wan't planned and the RO starting)
I could possibly do banners. Or maybe I can tag team with someone on it so we have variety. I don't think I can offer my art services because I'm too many freebies behind. We'll see, we have time.

On the subject of RO banners, I might try to make one if I can find time. Right now I just have a lot of other projects that need to get done. If I do attempt to draw one, what do we want to see on the banner besides BFAA and possibly the Barton Leaf? You know nothing I do will be overly fancy or computer drawn, but at least it would be something.
I do have a rough idea of a simple shield with the Barton Leaf on it, and two Barton flags crossed behind it. Maybe a scroll under it can say BFAA. I also do think we need to consider those old banners and sig items tucked away in the main forum. A lot of people have probably forgotten about those, but it's worth looking at for ideas.
One thing Chef and I have talked about off and on is the idea of the Sunriders and Night Ravens having specific colors we wear while playing the RO games. White and gold/Barton orange would be good for the Sunriders and black with gold/Barton orange would work well for the Night Ravens. It'd help us identify out team mates much more quickly in the crowds we are bound to have if they use Towns 2 again for the RO. And even if they don't it's still be nice to have some semblance of uniform colors. Regular daytime hour players could just wear Barton Pride stuff.
