 Name: Sadoko Misaki
Nickname: Sadie
Age: 18 years
Birthday: December 13
Sign: Sagittarius
Gemstone: Topaz
Blood Type: O
Fav. Food: Traditional Japanese food, but basic dishes like steamed rice always hits the spot with her.
Hated Food: Cheap ramen noodles
School: Destiny City University (Night classes only)
Hobbies:
Pets - Sadoko has herself a small collection of pets she cherishes. This includes a red Siberian Husky named Ari, a Archangel Pigeon named Kre, and a Red Danzig Highflyer Pigeon named Fre. She has spent much time training each of her animals to the capacities they can handle. She is a firm believer that all pets can be well behaved, and she is the discipline that will shape them into the best behaved of all pets.
Art and Painting - Sadoko is an artist, though her art is not well received by all. She tends to paint macabre, so the squeamish feel uncomfortable with the art. She frequently will submit her artwork into local galleries for the exposure. She also enjoys doing some research on a wide variety of artists, which sometimes can cause her to ramble at the mouth on subjects relating to various pieces she encounters.
Martial Arts - Growing up, Sadoko was encouraged to participate in a general martial arts class by her mother and father. She found she enjoyed the structure, the discipline and has continued to pursue a few styles that she found suiting to her tastes. She won't ever be able to win any sort of contests with her skills, but she finds it to be excellent exercise and is able to protect herself as needed.
Virtues:
Focused -- Sadoko has the ability to shut the whole world out and concentrate on what she needs to. Distractions rarely tend to work on her. She is the reliable one that can finish a task in a crunch. Others might criticize her focusing on one task in such a manner, but it is far more efficient than attempting to multi-task. Focusing on multiple separate tasks one at a time ensures she can finish each task fast and then move onto the next one.
Determined -- Sadoko has specific goals she works towards, and she won't let anything get in the way. Putting an obstacle in her way won't cause her to back down, but rather to rise to the occasion. She won't give up, and though she could be seen as stubborn, it is her willpower that always sees her through to the end.
Flaws:
Perfectionist -- It is one thing to have specific goals. It is another to achieve the goals. And with Sadoko, any slight straying from the plans are not acceptable. She expects all to go perfect the first time around, and it is unforgivable to fail at any given time. She has high expectations of herself and is harder on herself than any person could ever be. However, these high expectations also are placed upon those around her, making it a bit more difficult for her to tolerate others, as well as others to tolerate her.
Vindictive -- Sadoko has specific viewpoints in life. Those who do not meet her expectations will be met with extreme criticism. She is quick to accuse, and quick to act out against others if they don't meet her expectations. She won't try to understand the other side, for as far as she sees it, there is only one perspective that matters, everyone else be damned!
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Crimson Red and narrow
Hair: Seemingly black, but seems red in the proper lighting. Goes down to her mid-back.
Face: Slender Asian face with pale skin. Seems to suffer from Chronic Resting B*tch Face Syndrome.
Body: 5'5" in height, well toned body, but not overly muscled.
Clothes: She tends to flip flop her style upon her mood. If she is feeling more girly, she will dress more girly. If she is feeling a bit dark, she will dress something more gothic or punk. Heaven forbid if her roommate helps her pick out an outfit!

Senshi: Sailor Tanchozuru, Senshi of Cranes
Challenge: Let me see how noble you are!
Attacks:
Sailor Scout Attack: Tanchozuru Dance of Longevity Calling out the attack, Sailor Tanchozuru does a small dance. All allies within a 10 foot radius will receive a 15 second boost to their stage 1 magical attacks. It only affects one use of the allie's magical attack. For some reason it does not work on magic that fully immobilizes an opponent. Sailor Tanchozuru can use the dance 2 times in a battle, but the effect does not stack.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Tanchozuru Dance of Immortality Calling out the attack, Sailor Tanchozuru does a fancier dance than the Dance of Longevity. All allies within a 10 foot radius will receive a 15 second boost to their stage 1 OR stage 2 magical attacks. The magic defaults to affecting the higher level magic, but the recipient can choose to utilize a lower level magic for the boost if they use that first. For some reason it does not work on magic that fully immobilizes an opponent. Sailor Tanchozuru can use the dance 2 times in a battle, but the effect does not stack.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Tanchozuru Favorable Blessing Calling out the attack, Sailor Tanchozuru pulls a spiritual energy feather from her brooch and presents it to an ally. The ally will gain one full extra use of a magical ability up to stage 3 magic. This Blessing works on all types of magic, including immobilizing attacks. Sailor Tanchozuru can only use this blessing 1 time in a battle.

(NPCs)
D - Sadoko's roommate. He is a Drag Queen of an odd sort, but perhaps one of Sadoko's closest friends. He has been known to be intimate with her, but he is also known for sleeping around. The summary of their relationship could probably best be described as "He tolerates her bullsh*t, and she tolerates his bullsh*t."
Ari - Sadoko's red Husky. He is actually large for the breed standard and his tail doesn't curl like it should due to his mother being half wolf (making him 1/4 wolf). He is obedient to Sadoko's commands, but otherwise seems to be strong willed. He was trained with Japanese commands rather than English.
Kre - Sadoko's Archangel Pigeon. He is a vain sort of bird that spends much time looking at himself in the little mirror in his cage. The lesser intelligent of her two Pigeons, he only knows how to fly to her from across a room. Anything further usually will have one distracted bird getting lost in the other rooms.
Fre - Sadoko's Red Danzig Highflyer Pigeon. She seems to enjoy getting in staring contests with anything that passes her cage. She can spend hours staring at something interesting that might get set by her cage. The more intelligent of her two Pigeons, she knows how to fly to Sadoko from across a room, how to coo upon command, and how to dance upon command. She seems to thrive off of any attention.

In the past, the world of Tanchozuru was one large marshland. It was a peaceful place that served as a home to farmers and fisherman alike. Tanchozuru served as a reservation to many species of crane, and one elusive species native to the asteroid that was rumored to have the blessing of the celestials. It was a world that truly believed in coexistence and practiced what they preached.
Tanchozuru Landmarks:
Rice Pastures - This world ultimately utilized Rice as their primary export, so a vast amount of the land had to be dedicated to this staple food. A wide range of animals tended to coexist with theses pastures, though farmers would frequently have to check for potential pests and extinguish potential threats to their rice. Marsh Villages - The villages were built upon wooden platforms upon the edges, and sometimes even on top of the water's surface. There were several Villages, each with their own family name, but all were very similar in structure. There would be docks designated for fishing and simple boats for navigating the waters. Scarlet Tower - The capital of the world was built upon the most solid land of Tanchozuru. Built into the side of a hill is the Tower named for the color it was painted. It served as home to the Royal Family and could house the visiting dignitaries from other worlds. It was an impressive 5 stories tall. Shrine of the Tennin - To the immediate east of the Scarlet Tower was a humble shrine along the edge of a small, privately owned marsh. The shrine housed the current senshi of the world, who mainly served as an oracle. It was well maintained, serving as a reminder of how beautiful a marsh could truly be.
The Native Tanchozurans: The native population of the asteroid of Tanchozuru was rather similar to the populations found on Earth that are designated as Asian in decent. Typically their skin tone was fair with a faint yellowish hue. The fairer the skin, the more attractive an individual would seem. Every native's hair was dark and their eyes tended to be equally as dark. However, on rare occasion light-colored eyes would pop up in the population, though these individuals would be treated as outcasts.
As a right of passage from childhood to adulthood, each child would receive a tattoo from the world's Oracle with a symbol for whatever trait was strongest in the child. If one was able to read the Tanchozuran language, they could tell what each native was like simply by reading their tattooed symbol.
The Native Tanchozuran Wildlife:
Tancho Dancer's Koi - A species of Koi that had long graceful tail fins and a red spot upon its head. During spawning, the fish were known to swirl in circles, practically wrapping themselves in their tail fins, looking like they were dancing to the Tanchozurans. They were an oddly fatty fish, which made for delightful eating for both Crane and Tanchozuran alike. Tennin Crane - Perhaps one of the most elusive species of Crane to be found upon Tanchozuru. It was a species that was said to be blessed by the celestials themselves with the power of illusion. As a defense mechanism, the bird would mask itself in illusion, making itself seem like a far more common bird. They were a highly intelligent bird, and the curious ones could commonly disguise themselves as an attractive being as they investigated whatever had made them curious. They were also rumored to have a long life span that went as long as a thousand years. Due to their abilities with illusion, their actual natural appearance was completely unknown, since the few that had ever been discovered never kept the same appearance, seeming to fluctuate based upon personal preference.
The Tanchozuran Culture: Each Marsh Village belonged to a different family group, and ultimately made it so each Marsh Village was a tightly knit community. Each Marsh Village tended to have alliances with other Marsh Villages, though occasionally there would be Marsh Villages that preferred to be solitary. Arranged marriages between families in different Marsh Villages was not uncommon, sending the girl to go live in a new Village with the new husband.
As a culture, the Tanchozurans were generally very in tune with nature and would try to coexist with the majority of the birds. They would catch excess fish to share with the cranes, and leave the birds to themselves when they were spotted in the Rice Pastures.
The only cranes in which the culture had any issues with were the native Tennin Crane. Due to the strong abilites with illusion these birds had, they were considered dangerous. Despite the belief they received their abilities from Celestials, the Tennin Crane was treated as if it was a demon.
Social Hierarchy:
Royalty - The Royal family who lived in the Scarlet Tower were highly revered in this society. Being born into the Royal family was a blessing from the Celestials, and being married into the Royal family was just as much of a privilege. The Royal family tended to be the most superstitious people of the society, frequently seeking the Oracle's opinion upon even the most miniscule matters. Senshi/Oracle - The Senshi of Tanchozuru, after being discovered, was always treated as an Oracle. The senshi always had the innate ability to communicate directly with any species of crane. She was expected to give divine prophecies and predict any catastrophes utilizing a deck of ancient cards. She could be approached by any person of any lifestyle or social status for a reading of Fortune, and she would always be responsible for the right of passage from childhood to adulthood, tebori tattooing each child with a symbol describing their strongest trait. She was highly respected, but at the same time highly feared, frequently called a witch amongst her own people. Dignitaries - These were the people who traveled off world to seek out trades with other cultures. They tended to be the most political and silver-tongued negotiators, frequently getting what they sought out with trades or alliances. Fisherman - These were the individuals who would bring in the fish for their village. Fish had a slightly higher value to it than the rice, despite the rice being a staple crop. It took a bit more effort and skill to get the fish to feed the families. Villagers/Farmers - The rice farmers and the villagers were generally put on the same level when it came to social status. They tended to cooperate and assist each other out in their various tasks as needed. It was not unusual for a Farmer to assist in watching the children, or for a mother to be requested out in the fields. Within a society that functioned heavily upon coexistence, it was perhaps a perfect display of their beliefs. Children - Until their right of passage, children were considered a burden since they could not assist with the typical chores or jobs of a villager or farmer.
Tanchozuru Intergalactic Policies: With the Tanchozuran mentality of coexistence, it was not a surprise that they sought out alliances with many worlds, if only to do their part in living in harmony with other races. Trades would frequently open up opportunities and protection. They sought no conflict, and if the dignitaries did their jobs right, they usually would not have any.
Tanchozuru Economy:
There was no real form of currency or trade within the native Tanchozuran society. It was in everyone's interests to make sure those living around them was able to get by. In the Intergalactic exchanges, the Tanchozurans would frequently accept any sort of exchange for any sort of item, but it was usually out of the desire to be looked upon favorably in political matters.
Exports:
Rice- Rice was the most common crop and a staple in Tanchozuran society. In turn, it was easy to use for trade with other willing worlds Preserved Fish- With the various ways to preserve fish, they were able to export this out to other worlds that wanted a little taste of something different. Woven Articles- With dried grasses and reeds, they were able to make all sorts of articles, including baskets, bowls, mats, or other ornaments. Imports:
Fancy things- Tanchozuru was not a very rich nation. In general, it was fine for the majority to live without the fancier things. However, the dignitaries acknowledged that many worlds will look down upon a poor world. In an effort to make for an appearance of a reasonably wealthy world, they would utilize things like jewelry, fancy silk kimonos, and things of the like to paint an illusion that they were indeed better off than they actually were. Foods- The dignitaries were not so selfish as to only line their own pockets to make themselves seem more important. They would import many types of food to distribute to the Marsh Villages in an effort to enrich their lives. Simple cloth- Another effort to enrich the lives of the native Tanchozuran lifestyle was to import cloth which could be used by the natives for whatever purpose they wanted. Clothing, bags for carrying huge loads of rice, whatever they needed, they could make it once they got the bulk material.
