Hide and seek was always Zumei's favorite game when she was younger. She adored hunting for those hiding, or in Korra's case, it was getting lost. Zumei loved finding her cousin, and though she never got lost herself she could always count on Korra getting lost so she could find her. It was her job to make sure her cousin was found safely and that's what she would do! She got along quite well with Korra back then, and since they separated she hasn't had the contact she's wanted. Now that she's older, Zumei is still ever wandering around trying to find out just what she wants to do with her life. Having a very rebellious attitude has caused a bit of an issue, so now she must find out just what to do with herself. One thing she does know is that she wants to find her cousin somehow. Having Korra as her only friend growing up, Zumei feels the need to find her now that she's older. She'd love to be her friend again, but she fears how she is now with dampen her chances of reuniting with her. She worries that with how much time they've spent apart Korra won't like her and what she has become as a person, but she's refuses to give up her search until she has found and at least spoken to her cousin. Even if her father doesn't like the fact that she travels so much with no help, she is determined to continue on. She plans to travel around until she can locate her and they can reunite, even if Korra dislikes the person she has become. At least she'll know then that her cousin is still okay, even if she still gets lost as easily as she did before.
