Amarone pushed back her hair in determination, the heat of the summer sun beating down into her eyes. She wasn't far into the lands of Sauti, but she still felt homesick as she walked away from the place she called home. It was a fleeting feeling, but one she knew would be around for a bit as she wandered across the lands. Kesris was so small, and everyone had known each other and worked together to cultivate the lands. It was not uncommon for one or two to leave when they grew of age, but still the farewell was bittersweet.
Taking a deep breath, the girl lifted her traveling pack and steeled her shoulders, knowing it wouldn't due to dwell. It was time to continue on and learn what she could of the world, for that was her mission. She could always return and visit, and let her siblings know of what she found. For now, she would just follow the path and see where it took her.

Zumei had taken up humming to pass the time. It was a mindless activity, but one that helped her to not get so bored while traveling. She had luckily remembered her pack this time around, but she still had no luck figuring out what she was planning on doing other than wandering around. All she wanted was to find Korra and figure out her plans for the future. She couldn't exactly do that if she didn't experience new things. Perhaps traveling out of Sauti would be good for her? Then again interacting with others would help just as much. "Maybe I can meet a Leafling since I'm so close to the border!"

As Amarone moved farther away, her mind began to wander more toward the sights and sounds around her, and the opportunities that she would face. So far, she hadn't run into many travelers. Her small settlement was well out of the way, the only use it had was the trade it gave in terms of produce. Otherwise, no one made way so far south for the sights, as it pretty much was a dead end.
So, her goal was to head north and west, where she knew she had some family. If she could get far enough, odds are she would run into the leaf border and find her family. And maybe even see some more travelers on the way.
As if fate, she suddenly caught sight of another traveler on the path ahead. Excitement buzzed in her heart and Amarone perked up at the sight of the lone traveler. There was no caravan, so that meant this person was probably exploring just as she was. Picking up her pace, the wind earthling rushed ahead with the hope to meet someone and see what she could discover today.

Zumei was surprised when she spotted another wind earthling heading up the road. She seemed to be traveling just as she was, and she was curious to see if the person was lost or simply wandering as she was. She'd had no luck encountering her cousin, and she refused to wander back to her father without succeeding, so she had kept to traveling the roads in hopes of finding out what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She'd stopped at inns every now and then to work for food and some money to continue on, but other than that it had all been traveling on her own time. It was nice wandering around Sauti and seeing the sights, but here lately she had worried that what she was doing was pointless. She hadn't gotten any closer to figuring out what she wanted to do, and other than a bad sunburn nothing had really changed about her. Maybe encountering this traveler would help her in some way or another.

As Amarone got close enough to get the features of the traveler, she was both excited and disappointed to see it was a fellow Wind Earthling. If only it were one of the more exciting races she had heard about from the random traveler back home, maybe then she would have had an interesting encounter. But no worries, if she didn't have something interesting to see, maybe this traveler would show or tell her something new.
"Hello there!" She chirped with a bright smile, her eyes resting on Zumei's for a second before examining her clothing, her bags and everything else she had on her body.
"Exciting day to run into one another, wouldn't you say? Although we are only crossing paths...hum...you must have traveled a long way!" Her thoughts raced for a second before she grinned again, a bit playfully, "The name's Amarone, nice to meet ya!"

Well the girl was interesting to say the least, and very excitable. Most other travelers she had encountered had been a lot more closed off. Probably due to being worried about bandits. Not this girl though. She glanced over her for a moment before giving her a smile and waving, hoisting her bag onto her shoulder a bit better. "Hello to you! I didn't really expect anyone to be out here!" She smiled once more, moving a bit closer to her and extending out a hand to the girl in front of her. "I'm Zumei, and it's nice to meet you as well. So, what brings you out this way?" Maybe she was an explorer or treasure hunter of some sort. She didn't seem to be a merchant or anything of that sort. Hopefully she wasn't a thief.

Grinning at the thought, Amarone gave a bit of a shrug, and looked around at the tranquil lands they traveled in. It was a road less traveled, and seeing another was rare indeed. Taking a deep breath, she let it out with a sigh of content before taking Zumei's hand and shaking it with enthusiasm.
"I'm traveling from home, looking to see the world and find my place. Only so much you can do in a farmers town. Either you settle and work or settle and make a family. Both weren't for me, so I left while I could." Her tongue stuck out at the thought of both options, no, she would much rather explore and do what she could to help improve the life of those around her.
"And you?"

"I am actually trying to figure out what I want to do with my life too, as well as searching for my cousin. Neither of my quests have been very successful though unfortunately. So I've just been wandering and picking up odd jobs every now and again," Zumei explained, grinning at the girl. It seemed she was in a much similar situation. Zumei hated the thought of settling down or doing nothing but farming work or any other sort of hard labor. It was part of the reason she had taken off on her own in the first place. She wanted to find her own path even if it took a while to do.

Amarone's smile fell a bit at the fact the girl was hunting for her cousin, and she suddenly thought about the many cousins she had far off in the world. She would hopefully run into her Wind cousins sooner than later, considering she was walking along the path toward that settlement. However, her hybrid cousins were much more difficult to see. If she ever lost them, she wasn't sure how she would handle that.
Maybe there was some way to hunt them down...she knew there were creatures...but if only they could keep track of location better than sending messages and visiting once every few years.
Sighing, Amarone caught her wandering mind and gave Zumei a soft smile.
"I've been on the road for a bit, and my home is pretty much a dead end...maybe I crossed paths with your cousin...what does he...she...look like?"

"Well we look fairly similar! Same colored hair and crystals. She's a wind like me too! Though I guess that one is sort of a given. It's been such a long time since I've seen her I really can't give much more than that," Zumei frowned, struggling to think of more she could tell Amarone. There really wasn't much more to it than thought though other than they used to play hide and seek a lot. She wasn't really sure if she would notice her even if she did happen to spot her. No, she couldn't think like that. She would find her. She needed to more than anything. "Also her name is Korra! If that helps any. I do hope to find her," she sighed, shaking her head.
