Takes place directly after Two coins...are they so different? [Hype & Sphal]Hyperborea got to her feet watching the young Lieutenant disappear into the night. Hyperborea's entire body felt sore, she was confident bruises were already starting to form. She had won the fight, which made her feel good given her previous encounters with negaverse agents, but it was hard fight. She wiped blood from a split lip. Well, this well be hard to lie my way out of. I wonder if Mama and Papa would buy that I tripped on the stairs. Or maybe I could go to school early and pretend I got in a fight with one of the girls there, wait they could just ask the school about it. Damn.
Her victory felt a bit hallow as well. The girl was doing what she thought was right, and in a way Hyperborea agreed with her that muggers, drug dealers, and such weren't good innocent people and they should be punished but at the same time that didn't excuse draining them. Hyperborea hoped she'd gotten that through to the Lieutenant or at least maybe the fight would make her rethink if being in the Negaverse is worth it. She hoped the next time she met the Lieutenant they could be friend or at least didn't come to blows. Maybe she won't be wearing black next time I see her, I'd be really happy if that were the case. Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a strong aura approaching her.
Please don't let it be a general, I'm in no shape to fight someone else especially not one someone that powerful. she thought but as she focused on the aura it felt like an order aura, a knights aura in fact. Though it felt strange.
It's pure, one of the glowy incorruptible people maybe. Can knights have that glow, Penthe and Ida were both Senshi but I guess it'd make sense that a knight could have it too. Hyperborea thought as she tired to dust off her dress and make herself a bit more presentable. Her well kept hair had become a bit disheveled in the fight and it fell about her face a little. Soon enough the owner of aura came into view, a man in fur lined coat and cape with glowing blue lines on his face and a blue visor. "Bonsoir." Hyperborea called out.Silverah here's a start let me know if I need to change anything

It was not very often that Babylon got to practice his french. He'd mostly used it with his father, and since his death a year ago, he'd had little cause to practice. Still, it was hard to forget your native tongue. "Bonsoir," he replied, giving the page a little nod. The french didn't seem so weird to him - after all, Camlann had only spoken Russian for like a solid three weeks. At least this was a language he actually spoke. He raised his lantern and stepped towards her, and in the better light, it was clear that she was rather worse for the wear. Babylon's brow crinkled in concern. "Es tu blessé?" he asked. It was sort of obvious that she was, but he wanted to see how forthcoming she would be. Injury was something he could help with - but only if she wanted it, and he knew that sometimes people were too proud to ask. Everyone had injuries that they'd patched up on their own and lived to tell the tale about. But that didn't mean he couldn't offer. "Je m'appelle Babylon. Je peux tu aider s'il te plait."

Hyperborea was more than a little surprised to be responded to in fluent french. She was more accustomed to people either not knowing what she was saying or just answering her in English. It was a nice change of pace really, normally she only got to have french conversation with her Mama or her Pépé and Mémé.
"Oui. Juste un petit peu." She responded honestly. She leaned back against a wall for support.
"Je m'appelle Hyperborea d'Cosmos. C'est un plaisir de vous rencontrer monsieur Babylon." She said with a smile. "Merci! Vous êtes très gentil."

Un petit peu seemed to be an understatement for someone who was leaning against the back wall of the alley for support. Babylon sighed and took a few steps towards her. "Assieds-toi," he suggested, gesturing to a stack of packing pallets. "Qui tu a fait ça?" He was willing to bet on the Negaverse, of course, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to make sure. He'd heard of knights attacking their own, and while he wanted to believe that everyone (but mostly Megiddo) was beyond that nonsense now, he needed to be sure. "Était-ce le Negaverse?" Question: How did you decide the french grammatical gender of a shadowy paramilitary organization? He'd never had to consider it before. Was it sexist to just default to le? "Oú as-tu la pire douleur?" he asked, after a moment of mental calisthenics trying to put the sentence together. His father had taught him French for the sake of reading Le Petit Prince, not for conducting triage on teenaged girls in back alleys. (Hyperborea, he thought, looked entirely too young to be a page, but chibi knights weren't a thing...? Maybe she was just young-looking for her age. He'd been that way, too, until he got hella buff and acquired a mean-looking facial scar and some scruff.) "Désolé," he said, setting his lantern beside her on the palettes and kneeling in front of her. "Mon français est un peu... rouillé? D'ailleurs, j'ai un enchantement qui peut tu guérir." Damn straight I'm a formal vous, he thought smugly. He was twenty-three. He'd ******** earned it.

She said proudly.
"Je pense que la pire douleur est ici." She said pointing to her slightly swollen cheek, when she'd gotten hit there she had bit her cheek, wincing a bit as she touched it.
"Wow vous avez vraiment sort qui soigne les blessures . Cest incroyable." She said in awe, though she suppossed she shouldn't be too surprised since other types of magic existed it made since healing magic would too but she had never heard anyone mention it yet.
The man's french didn't seem rusty to her but she didn't want to make him continue speaking it if he was uncomfortable, she wondered if he spoke english as well. "Parlez-vous Anglais?" She asked "Si oui, je peux passer à parler anglais si vous préférez que."

Babylon nodded. "Je vois que tu es très forte," he assured Hyperborea. He would have rather she not be fighting at all, but a case of you should see the other guy was probably okay. Just as long as she didn't go thinking she was invincible - he knew where that could lead. "Pardonnes-moi," he said, pulling his right glove off. He reached forward, touching his bare fingers to her cheek, and eased energy over to her. "Il ne sera pas guérir tout de suite," he explained, "mais tu te sentiras mieux plus rapidement." "Bien?" has asked, pulling his hand away. It was always guesswork to figure out how much energy to give, and one of these days he was going to do it wrong and totally get someone high. Anyway, he thought he'd been doing okay getting along in French, but switching back to English was a welcome option - he didn't have the vocabulary for most magical things. "Yes," said Babylon, cracking a grin. "That would probably be for the best. Trying to discuss magical concepts is always easier in English. They don't translate very well - or at least, I've never tried."

She switched languages in her head "Thanks." She said blushing a bit at being called strong outright.
"Yeah I know what you mean, Pépé and Mémé didn't really cover how to talk about wonders or fighting evil magical organizations when they taught me French." She said returning the man's grin.
Amazing she did start to feel better and it felt like the swelling on her cheek was starting to go down. " Wow your right, how did you do that is it your wonders magic or does it have to do with you being all glowy?" She was getting excited, this knight was interesting and he was being very kind to help her. She looked over at the lantern he had set down beside her. " So is that your weapon. What kind of stuff can it do?" She was still amazed by how unique knight weapons could be from her own bracelet to Sarras' chalice or Hvergelmir's weaving staff thing and now a lantern.

"Yeah," agreed Babylon easily. "I don't think my dad ever had this in mind." The swelling on her cheek seemed like it might have gone down a little bit - but he didn't want to give his magic too much credit. It was a simple mechanism, a transfer of energy, not a true healing spell. He reached over and picked up the lantern. "Well, um, it gives light, obviously," he said, but that wasn't what Hyperborea was asking, he didn't think. She wanted to know about his magic. "The energy transfer is a side effect of being 'all glowy,' like you said. My magic is different. Hold on. I can show you." He stood, lantern in hand, and held it to eye level. After a moment, it brightened considerably. Babylon grinned down at the page. "Lie to me," he said. Aurelius Ambrosius Babylon raises his lantern to eye level, and the light flares to illuminate a circle with a ten-foot radius. Anyone moving within the light for the duration of the spell becomes unable to lie to or otherwise conceal their true intentions from Babylon, including being unable to sneak up on him. This spell can be used for up to two minutes per day, but he does not have to use the entire magic pool all at once.

Hyperborea's eyes took a moment to adjust to the brightness. He wanted her to lie to him. "Ok." She said a little unsure. She thought for a moment."I..." She had wanted to say, 'I always sleep soundly through the night' but instead she said. " If I don't have my teddy bear, Lancelot, I can't sleep soundly through the night."
Hyperborea's face went scarlet, she tried to say 'Thats not true, I was just joking' but instead she said "That's completely true, I wasn't joking" She covered her mouth with both her hands.
She was beginning to regret asking him about his magic. "Um can you just forget what you heard, please!" She said looking down at her toes too embarrassed to meet his eyes.

Babylon laughed and lowered the lantern, the magic fading. "I won't tell a soul," he assured her. His magic never failed to amuse him, at least with members of his own faction. With Negaversers, it tended to just be depressing. Hearing someone parrot their devotion to Chaos was worse when you knew it was a sincerely held belief. "It forces people to tell the truth, if you couldn't guess," he said, hoping that he hadn't ruined the evening. There had to be a way to get a smile out of her - right? Well, he'd give it a try, anyway. "Your secret's safe with me, okay? Promise. Scout's honor." He held out a finger, pinky-swear style. "So. Hyperborea of Cosmos. I've met your princess. Cool lady, Sailor Cosmos. Saved my life. I've got nothing but good stories about Cosmos Knights. You're in good company."

Hyperborea looked up at Babylon to see if he was lying. She decided he was being honest so she interlaced her pinky with his to do a pinky-swear. "Thanks." she said with a small smile.
"That's definitely interesting magic. I'm glad we're on the same side." She said with slight chuckle.
"You've met my princess?!" She said her interest piqued and her earlier embarrassment mostly forgotten. "What was she like, Sailor Ida mentioned her but she didn't know much about her." She wondered how the princess saved Babylon's life but figured it might be rude to ask, if he wanted to tell her the story he would. "It sounds like you know alot of Cosmos knights, I'm happy to hear their good people. I've only met two of my fellow Cosmos knights so far. I want to meet more. I mean we're like family shield-brothers and shield-sisters, at least thats how I see it. But our order seems so distant and separate. Is your order the same or do you guys work together more?" She said with a sad smile and a slight melancholy tone.

Babylon was glad that he had apparently not scarred the little page for life. "Well," he said, "I know a few." Which was to say he mostly knew Hvergelmir, and he sort of knew Teide, and he was passingly familiar with Sarras. Past that, um, maybe he'd given her sort of the wrong impression. "Like I said about your princess," he said, trying to get away from the subject of Cosmos knights, "She saved my life. I was messing around with magic I probably shouldn't have been, and Cosmos set me right. You know, she's probably the most powerful being in the known universe? Good lady to have on your side." Anyway, he thought, what else did he need to go over someone who appeared to be a very green page? Right! Babylon held out his hand, bouncing his ring finger to draw her attention to his signet. "Have you been to your Wonder yet?" he asked. "When you go, you should look around for something like this. It will let you send messages by writing the recipient's name and stamping the paper with your sigil."

Hyperborea smiled. "I'm afraid I've already been, twice. But I'd be happy to be pen pales with you." She said in a jovial tone holding up her own signet ring and tapping it. She was happy to shift the conversation over to wonders, they were a particular interest to her.
"So whats Babylon like, you wonder I mean? If you don't mind me asking." She asked currious about what kind of place Babylon.

Babylon grinned, surprised but also pleased. Maybe someone else was already mentoring this kid - he hoped so. Pages left to their own devices were easy prey for the Negaverse. "Wow, okay. So you're way ahead of the game. No reason to be sorry for that. My friend Mistral - she's another knight of Mercury - made an upgrade for the rings. Lets them do video chat. It's very Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. I'll talk to her about getting one for you." Another night, he might have offered to take her to Babylon at her prompting, but it was late, and she was injured, and even with the second wind he'd given her, Babylon would rather spend his time making certain that Hyperborea got home safely. "It's an ancient city build into the side of a mountain," he said, standing up, picking up his lantern, and offering his free hand to her. "Come on, let's walk and talk. I'll escort you home." Aurelius Ambrosius That's a wrap. Take five, everybody.

"Oh wow that sounds really cool, like something out of a scifi movie." She didn't realize that her ring could be upgraded like that. "Thanks!"
"Your wonder's a city too. Thats awesome I was starting to wonder if mine was just weird." She took the offered hand.
"Thanks although you should know, my family's estate is on the outskirts of the city. So I'm not sure you really want to make that walk." She said smiling.
