The Streets
Although not truly a "place" in the traditional sense, the Streets are a place where fate works its hands to create "chance" meetings. Couples can be formed, trouble can be found and new friendships forged simply by going out for a walk.
This thread covers any interactions that take place between characters within the city but without any major landmarks. Interactions should use their most relevant thread.
ex: A roleplay that starts just outside of the cafe and involves the cafe being entered should use the cafe thread.

Viper After leaving the room, Viper left the guild house as quickly as she could. She just wanted to be alone to sort through what had happened. She wasn't entirely sure where she was going, nor did she care; she just didn't want to be anywhere near the guild. There were so many questions with no answers in sight. How would she be able to retake control of her team? Better yet, would she be able to? However, these weren't the only things on her mind. She also wasn't quite sure why Mortimer had snapped at her; in the past he had never stood up to her, not even a little. It was the first time she had seen him show even the slightest bit of backbone and she didn't like it. She preferred to have those she considered under her beaten into an almost blind obedient state. Something had changed in Morty and - though not entirely sure - she suspected that it had something to do with their most recent guild outing, the drill. It was difficult for her to know exactly what it was though; she had been taken out by one of the "kidnappers" very early on. It was something she desperately wanted to forget. Twice now, she had been humiliated and made to look inadequate during a guild-wide job. The whole thing just made her angry...or at least, it would if she weren't so confused about the outburst, and where she fell in the scheme of things now - in more ways than one.
She was so consumed with her thoughts that she wasn't paying attention to where she was going or what her general surroundings were. When she withdrew herself from her thoughts enough to care - stopping to check her surroundings in detail - she realized she had wandered into town. She didn't recognize this section of town other than it was toward the outskirts, away from the well known landmarks in the area - and with no one in her immediate vicinity that she could see. It was perhaps fitting that she wind up here. Her physical placement in the world around her now represented what she felt on the inside, very distanced; alone; uncertain; and so very confused.
With that realization, she let out an uncharacteristic sigh and began to walk slower, pacing up and down one side of the street. Alongside everything else already on her mind, she began to contemplate if she should stay in town or head for the hillsides to find understanding and, though she wouldn't admit wanting it, perhaps even solace.

CutTheodore Anastasia Boris
Things had turned out... okay, she thought. She was certainly tired and exhausted for a number of reasons, not the least of which was the fact that she had strained herself so thoroughly under the hot sun. For a water-type, that kind of situation was about as bad as it got. She used water both to attack and to bear the heat. Her sensitive skin constantly released moisture in order to keep her skin from cooking and, of course, her attacks necessitated water as well. Like all water types the depth of her reserves was almost unreal but as one who had never trained such a thing, it wasn't nearly deep enough. But in spite of that, Theodore seemed to accept her which vastly outweighed the exhaustion. She would gladly press forward tired rather than not at all.
So it was with a decent move and a Teddiursa's paw in her hand that she walked up the street with Theodore not far behind. They were returning to the guilds, as was obvious given that their business had been completed. Even if she had some superfluous desire to tend to, the most pressing desire she could have for the time being was to rest. It was in spite of this and perhaps as a testament to her nature that she ended up stopping to address the Shelgon. "Are you alright, miss?"
As they had walked along the streets, it was terribly obvious that the Shelgon had some kind of problem. She was pacing up and down the same road back and forth endlessly. They had seen her from quite a ways away and she simply... didn't stop. Whatever the case was, there was certainly something wrong for her to be acting that way. Anastasia was not one to pry deeply where she was unwelcome, but to reach a hand out to a stranger in need is something she would do. It was something that she had to do.[ From]

Viper Viper had been pacing up and down the street for quite some time. She had completely lost track of time and space; she hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings in the slightest. All her mental faculties were completely focused on her thoughts, so much so that when the young Froakie asked if she was alright she stopped and stiffened. She hadn't been expecting to find anyone out here, but yet she had been found anyway.
She had to respond someway though. At first the thought made her angry, so as she spoke when she was turning around, the first few words were hateful sounding and loud, "I don't - " she stopped, and for some reason the anger faded when she saw the sight of the young girl, but what hit her the hardest was the presence of the small Teddiursa. They were both young, but the Teddiursa was even smaller, it was only a baby. For some reason, this struck a chord within her, and the anger faded from her voice. It was something she couldn't explain.
There was an awkward few seconds of silence before she spoke again. "I...I don't know," she answered softly, "I simply don't know..." her voice trailed off at the end as her mind once again turned to what had happened in the room and all the uncertainty that the event had brought with it. Her eyes glazed slightly as her mind distanced her from the present. "I don't know what to do...I just don't know..." she whispered, thought it wasn't really directed at the girl. She had said it more or less absentmindedly.

Cut Theodore Anastasia Boris
Anastasia was ultimately unsure what to feel or what to do. The initial shouts were aggressive and domineering and not at all something new for her to experience. She was used to accepting those and it ultimately fazed her little--it meant she had made a mistake and little more. What was both very reassuring and very troubling was that Viper trended to an awkward silence followed by soft words that trailed off. Quiet words were usually words that were compliments and expressions of approval but these were certainly neither. This was an uncertainty which left Anastasia herself deeply uncertain as to how to reply. If someone addressed her she could respond, that was both easy and automatic. Addressing someone else, that was very hard. At least it was another girl.
Thankfully for Anastasia, at least in a sense, she wouldn't have to actually do anything to spur things onwards. Boris would walk forward, gently moving past Anastasia's loose hold on his hand and he would only stop when he was directly in front of Viper and attempting to climb into her shell.
Oh my.

Viper She was distant and wasn't even aware of her surroundings anymore. So, when Boris moved forward to try and climb into her shell she wasn't even aware of it till she bore the full weight of the youngster as he hung from the mouth of her shell by his tiny paws. At first, she wasn't even sure what was going on. She couldn't see Boris' claws, so as she began turning her body this way and that in order to find the source of the disturbance, she remained unaware of the cause. "What's going on? What's happening?" Her question wasn't directed at any one person in particular, but it wasn't rhetorical either. Her confusion was plain and obvious. In her search, she completely missed the absence of the Teddiursa.
She would continue to turn around until she was stopped, or the source of the added weight to her shell was discovered.

Cut Theodore Anastasia Boris
Oh god.
Anastasia's reaction to what transpired was both quick and clumsy. Boris's grip was surprisingly sturdy and Viper's unrelenting turning caused him to quickly stumble and slide along the ground, a fact that he didn't really seem to mind all that much. Anastasia, on the other hand, minded it very much and she quickly attempted to rectify the egregious insult. She had to unwind his claws one by one, but she managed and she quickly pulled him back in order to keep him away from Viper. Boris wiggled awkwardly as he tried to get up and, no doubt, continue what he was doing but Anastasia kept him restrained. "I am deeply sorry miss, I apologize." Her expression was one of obvious discomfort and equally obvious panic. Boris had been her responsibility and this happened. It wasn't alright. She was young and new, while Viper was clearly her senior in both age and status. What had transpired was utterly unacceptable.
Theodore simply watched.

Viper Viper stopped turning when Anastasia began to unwind Boris' claws one by one, and when the Froakie pulled back with Boris in tow, Viper looked at her and the little Teddiursa. So it had been the child that had added the weight to her shell. She was appalled that the child had tried such an antic, but Anastasia was apologetic about it. Even Viper, in her own present state, could see that the little girl was horrified and embarrassed by what had happened. She should be mad, but she couldn't bring herself to scold the children, despite the indignity."It's..it's alright," she managed to say softly. She kept her voice low, her somber mood returning in the wake of the awkward event. "He's just a child and curiosity is to be expected. I'd imagine that he hasn't seen one of my kind before," she said as she turned her gaze to little Boris. Seeing the infant brought to mind the blissful ignorance of the world that children possessed. She was once carefree and curious as Boris was now, but that was a long time ago and much had changed since then. Her perspective on the world around her had changed; she no longer possessed that child-like wonder or curiosity that she once did. It was something that she hadn't thought about in a long time.
She stood there quietly for a few seconds, these thoughts coming and going almost instantaneously. She looked back to Anastasia and addressed her, "What's your name anyway? I haven't seen you around before. You're new?" the last part was part statement and part question, a question which she was sure she already knew the answer to. While she spoke to the young Froakie, she had yet to notice Theodore because of her limited range of vision.

Cut Theodore Anastasia Boris
Viper was thankfully a more forgiving sort, thought Anastasia. She was grateful. "Thank you for your forgiveness."
Anastasia did her best to keep Boris quiet and restrained so that he couldn't get into more trouble. She was no less restrained herself. Her voice was soft and even, her tone was methodical. While the softness of it may have implied gentleness from any other person, from Anastasia it came across more as someone who had given up on the idea of acting in opposition. It was disciplined, rather than innate. Her speech and her actions were clearly formal, restrained and incredibly out-of-place for the more casual social environment of the guild. It was, to her, a very good thing that Viper was willing to overlook such an obvious and crude mistake as the one she had made in mishandling Boris. It was simply unacceptable that she had done so.
"My name is Anastasia. I joined the guild last night, after the simulation."
Again, the slow even tone. The restrained formality. And the silence afterwards; Anastasia did not (and would not) say anything more, especially after the egregious error she had made. Viper would have to speak to her, rather than the other way around.
Theodore still just watched.

Viper There it was again, that horribly awful simulation. At first, she felt her temperature rise with anger, but it was quickly dissipated and a chill ran through her shell as she remembered what had come before it. The frigid cold and damp dark damp cave. The Mystifying Jungle drill had been a stark contrast to the mission they had completed in the Frozen Wastelands. Her eyes grew distant and wide with fear as the images flashed in her mind again.
Then, she remembered where she was. Taking a few deep breaths she tried calming herself back down. "The drill..yeah. That was rough...We didn't take a - " she stopped. No. That was incorrect, Morty had seen to that. "I take that back..we did take a recruit. Though, she joined this morning instead of last night." The displeasure of having a new recruit was evident in her voice. Despite her displeasure, she showed no signs of being aggressive about it for now.

Cut Theodore Anastasia Boris
Anastasia didn't say anything. On the inside she was unsure of what to do, how to act, what to say... But on the outside, she was quiet and even. There was little emotional or physical response from her that was visible. She was stoic and almost like a maid waiting to be addressed.
Theodore, finally, stepped in. Quite literally, he stepped into Viper's field of vision as he walked up behind Anastasia. "Usually when you ask for someone's name, it's good courtesy to give your own first." Anastasia nearly stumbled forward and began babbling on her own in an effort to identify her own name and team, but after a reassuring hand from Theodore she realized that he was actually talking to the Shelgon, rather than scolding her as she had assumed from the start. She still wasn't sure what to make of him and it showed.

Viper Viper narrowed her eyes as the grass type spoke. The young girl in front of her began to babble, but Viper knew who he'd been speaking to: herself. She wasn't one for etiquette or manners. There had been a time once, but not anymore. She snorted as she replied, her voice once again gruff and filled with anger, "My name is inconsequential," she huffed. Then she stopped as the thought of what had happened in the team room returned again and sighed, the anger vanishing as quickly as it had appeared. "At least it is now. I don't think I could really be called important, not anymore," she said softly. If the three hadn't been standing so close to her - and the streets hadn't been so empty - they might not have heard it.
She let out another dejected sigh as she continued, "It would be more accurate to say that I was the captain of Team Verruckt, Viper." Turning away slightly, her gaze went to the ground, she couldn't look at them. The three looked quite content in each others company. It was something she had never possessed, and she hated them for reminding her of that. However, all her fire was gone, so instead of hatred she was left with emptiness and her words even reflected it. "But... that was last night. Now, I'm not even sure I have a place on my own team anymore."

Cut Theodore Anastasia Boris
"Theodore. I'm the captain of Team Cut, for all intents and purposes." Strictly, he was the co-captain, but while Donovan was interested in ruling his own roost he was utterly illiterate and generally unconcerned with most of the matters necessary for a team captain. Theodore got to do whatever he wanted as long as he didn't mess with Donny too much, which was just fine by him.
"Anyways, lets go." Theodore simply started walking off. Anastasia, after a moment of uncertainty, followed. She had to follow her leader. Boris went with her since his hand was held by her own, though his free paw waved in the direction of Viper not in a way to say goodbye but rather in a way to try to stretch his body until he could grab back onto her. "You too, Viper. We're not talking in the middle of a dead street. Come on."
Viper, apparently, was invited.

Viper At first, she wasn't sure what to do. All of a sudden, the leader of Team Cut just started walking away, calling the two children after him. She was speechless then, but what dumbfounded her even more was what followed last, she was invited too. She had never been invited to go anywhere with anyone before. She wasn't sure what to do about it.
Her eyes went to little Boris as he struggled against Anastasia's grasp to try and grab onto her again almost like she mattered - albeit it was more likely just to try and climb in her shell again. The image made her feel wanted somehow, even if it was for such a silly thing. Unsure what else to do, she wordlessly wandered after the three members of Team Cut.

Skullbasher ((RP Continued From Here)) Originally, Skullbasher had been prepared to go on his way when his companion refused his offer to help carry groceries. However, upon his attempt to depart, he was stopped by the Golurk's massive hand. Turning to face Killian, he watched as the gestures were made. This time, Skullbasher understood him. This giant with which he had spent all afternoon was now asking him to walk with him. He tilted his head in thought; this puzzled him. He thought back to when he had - or so it seemed to him - insulted the fellow, remembering the gestures that had been made then. By contrast, it now seemed almost as if nothing had happened and all had been forgiven. Despite his understanding, his slow response time still lead to his being scooped up in the Golurk's hand. The action came as a shock, but Skullbasher managed to hide that - mostly anyways. "O-Okay, I'll come with you!" He was willing to walk with his apparent new found friend, but he wasn't sure where they were going. Sure, the guild was in the direction they were traveling, but there was bound to be other things there as well. Although, being new himself, he still wasn't terribly sure where everything was. As they left the marketplace, Skullbasher noticed that some of the shop keepers had started to pack up and leave, or simply lock everything up. It was near dusk, so it was time for everyone to head home. Skullbasher was mostly just glad that he had been able to help his new friend find everything before it was time for the shops to close.
