People tell me to tell my mom that I'm a lesbian... But I don't want to. I'm afraid.


I tell her I'm straight, out of hesitation, and I'm beginning to believe she suspects me.


The only reason I don't want to tell her is because the girl I'm inlove with, I've never met with... I know her from online..And I talk to her on the phone a lot...

I'd rather tell my mom once I've met her... But my friends are telling me different....

._x; Not to mention, this person I love, my mom knows I know her.... And she is constantly asking questions about her.... And I'm scared... I don't want her to find out about us... I rather tell her... And I just want to meet her first... -sigh-

I think because she's afraid her mom wont like the online asspect of it. Which is understandable. But maybe if you got your mom to talk to her and get to know her as well, it'll ease her worries when you meet this girl. So I say go ahead and tell her. 3nodding

Ehhhh yeah... maybe that would be a little difficult. But honestly, how do you think you'll be able to meet her without telling your mom though?

You could always just tell her that your girlfriend is just a friend and that you just want to meet her. Let your mom talk to her and maybe meet her parents or something. It might make it easier. It'll be better to tell her than to do it behind her back atm cause that will break her trust in you, ya know? And I think you should have better trust in your mom than that.

I remember when my mom was CRAZY when I was on the internet for the first few years. They wouldn't let me on untill certain times and they wouldn't give me the pw to log into the internet and they would watch me like a hawk. That was after they had spied on me and found out that I had told some friends on a fourm I went to that I was from NC. Then time went on and they stopped being so strict. That and I got my own computer. I told my mother that I wanted to meet my "friend" whom at the time was my girlfriend. She didnt like it but she tried to understand why I wanted to meet someone that I met offline.

I think it'll be ok though. But like Vaan said.. only when you feel it's the right time. If not, then dont. No one is going to make you.

Edit: Btw, my ex is about that age different from me. Im turned 19 in Feb and she turns 18 in September

if your mom is a lesbian.. either two things can come from telling her: 1. she understands what you're going through and helps you. 2. she thinks that you are simply being influenced by her, and won't believe it.
i'd say if you're gonna tell her to tell her before you meet the girl, depending on how much your mom usually freaks out about things.

Here is what you do:

1. Open up to your mom.

2. If you don't want her to interupt your relationship with the girl you as-of-yet know online, then don't tell her about the relationship. Is that so difficult?

She can't know anything for sure unless you either tell her or she puts a keylogger on your computer, which would mean ashe knows anyway.
