So, anyone else hear about this game that's supposed to be released at some point this year? Cause I'm totally outraged about it. The whole point of the game is to go out on a shooting spree basically. The story is you hate everybody. This is the reason that gamers get a bad rep among people. Not because we yell and curse because we get mad, because the GAMES are violent. I've rarely had an issue with people who play video games, but I have issues with the people that are like "Oh, look how popular GTA is. We're going to make a game more disturbing than that or any other game to date and take everything a step further and cross every line". Also, this game is being released ON STEAM. You know, Steam, "Input the date that allows you to view and/or buy this content" yeah, I'm totally outraged about it. What made me more upset was THEY TOOK IT DOWN and PUT IT BACK ON! Also, here are people ACTUALLY DEFENDING THIS GAME. I'm obviously completely on the opposed side to this, and this whole post might get me kicked out of here because of what the games about and how disturbing and such it is, but you know what? I just want to raise awareness that this is what gaming is coming to. If this game gets published and released without any kind of repercussion, what does that entail to the rest of gaming? What will be next? Literally I feel this is the descent of gaming if this is where people think they can go with it. I get it, freedom of speech and all, but look, when a game is just going out and killing people, there's an issue. "BUT GTA DOES IT!" Yeah, but the whole purpose of the game isn't to go out and murder an entire city outskirt. Hatred is, that's literally the purpose. They even say in the description that "...you will have to hide and fight the cops. But you don't care and will be as brutal as you like because they stand in your way". SERIOUSLY? I can't think of any justifiable reason that this game should exist. Literally there is no reason for it to exist. Yeah, it's rated Adult Only, but I reiterate, on Steam, people lie about their age all the time, Steam can't confirm ages. I'm done going off about this game, but honestly, let me know how you feel about this game, because I'm appalled that Steam put it back on and that it was created to begin with.

I was honestly surprised that a thread like this wasn't brought up sooner. I defend the right to make the game but I don't defend the game itself. I think the game itself was made poorly timed, it's offensive, it's of bad taste. Overall I hate everything about the game. But he has the right to expression and to say that his game is art. And I'll defend his right to make it, put it on whatever retailer he wants and sell it. But the best way to make sure that these kind of games don't become popular is to not buy it. I will never buyt this game, I'll advise anyone that talks to me about it to not buy it.

Call me sick [I might be going straight to hell according to a lot of people.] but I actually kinda wanna play this game.
Honestly, I've been gaming for a long time, and I've run into many gamers over time, and there are different types of people who game. There are those who seem to think people need the same type of morality as everyone else, especially when it comes to gaming, but I find the backlash to be a bit silly. I understand the idea of killing innocent mercilessly and that being the point of the game is appalling to people, but to some people it is not. It doesn't mean these individuals are sick or anything, they just have a different sort of mind than you do. That is how it is, it all comes down to your own sense of morality, your mind, or how to feel about violence in mediums.
It isn't like the game is new. These games have been around FOREVER, only now it is...well it's been 3d for awhile too, and as always there is some backlash to it..because the game appears to be serious. I'll admit, with the current social climates this was a bad idea, but I'm not one to really raise a stink about violence in games, its objectives, or the like. I will also say I do find a game whose objective is just to kill people for the sake of it a bit refreshing [for reasons], but I would not say I'm intent to go around killing people or anything, or that it negatively effects the gaming community..though it might in the eyes of ignorant people, but they hate us anyway.
My morality [which has always been less than...angel-like] never really effects my choice in games, and I hardly care what happens to a bunch of pixels on screen. People have their taste, mine has always been more dastardly and horrible, doesn't make me a monster, just makes me a different type of gamer and consumer of entertainment [I am that one guy you hear in a horror movie laughing when someone dies (Most because people are idiots in those though), but I'm a nice guy I swear.] but then again I play pretty much anything.
You might not like it, and more power to you ^^, buut lets not put people down for it. If they wish to play it, then they may. If someone wishes to create it, then they may...its all just games in the end, aimed for different people. No need to draw lines, just stay in your lanes, cross over when you need and lets not cause a gigantic pile-up because someone's car is a color you don't like.
That being said, the game does look cheap and like it'd get boring after awhile soooo.....there is that.

I did see that, it was actually that which reminded me about that game because prior to that, a kid at school was all "Yeah, I love this game because of all the reactions its causing". All in all though I got it all out of my system and no longer care, if it gets made it gets made, if not, cool. Either way it's a game in the end.
