A little dark umber colt furiously mashed buttons and jerked joysticks as he viciously defended himself from the attacking creatures on the screen of the arcade game. Well maybe 'defended' was an understatement - Boss Revel was going all out in his fight. Sweat beaded on his brow and nearly trickled into his eyes as he glanced from the scene to the numbered score and the scene again. Just a few more...almost...

"THERE!" he yelled, jumping up in triumph. "YEEEEAHH! NEW HIGH SCORE! Wait 'til Frag Doll hears about this...no one can beat Boss Revel, not even an alicorn! Move over, sis, there's a new gaming champ in town!"

Now that he'd accomplished the task he'd dedicated a whole solid 14 hours to (minus bathroom breaks), Boss was pooped. He went to find food (like a BOSS), stuffed himself (like a BOSS), and passed out in the arcade lounge (like a BOSS) while waiting for Frag to show up so he could brag to her about his latest triumph.

Frag took her time wandering over to the arcade.

She'd been surprised when her new little half brother had boldly stated that he was going to beat her high scores in the arcade she'd spent a lot of her own foalhood in. Today would be the day he'd said, inviting her to see the high score that would top FRGD. The alicorn was pretty confident that wasn't going to happen. Ever.

Opening the door to the arcade, a wave of nostalgia hit her. The blaring noises of several arcade cabinets crammed together. The clicking of buttons and the thunk of acrade sticks. She really should drop in more often...

Frag spied a little colt possibly not breathing in the longue. She snickered and used her magic to gentle tug on one of his curls. At the very least she needed to see if he was alive.

"AHH!" Jumping up with a short little yell, the colt whipped his head left and right - far too fast to actually register anything his sleepy eyes might have seen. "Who - what the - ?" Rubbing them, he blinked as an eccentrically-dressed alicorn met his gaze.

"...Frag?" he said, followed by a yawn. "Oh, it's jus' you." Hopefully he could sound cool and indifferent in front of her, one of his most revered idols in Phonyland. Not that he wanted anyone to know that. His excitement was thinly-veiled, however, as he shifted from hoof to hoof and his words gradually rose in speed and pitch. "Glad you could make it. I was just sleepin' off my amazing victory. Just wait 'til you see my new high score!"

What started off as a power trot quickly turned into leaping bounds as he dashed toward the site of his 14-hour feat. Once there, he eagerly turned to see if she was following, only to realize he must have appeared a little too eager and forced himself to tone it down. Play it cool, Boss...just like Frag. You don't need to be an alicorn to have that class...or skill...or confidence...right? Anyway, you beat her high score! That's all that matters!

Frag Doll chuckled. Foals were too excitable, it was both sorta cute but also really annoying. She really just wanted to put her hoof on Boss's head and hold him down till he stopped vibrating with eagerness.

"Yes, just me." she said with a nod. "Oh ho, amazing victory? Those are usually the best ones. What did you pull off? Unlocking all the extra characters in Rumble Jungle? The bonus level in Apartment Puncher? Oh maybe you..oh.." Boss had already taken off and was standing next to the machine he wanted her to see. With a little shake of her head, she walked over.

"Let's see what you've managed to achieve." she kicked a step stool to the base of the machine and climbed up for the best view. She watched the screen for a few moments before looking impressed. "Well this IS quite a feat!" she said with a nod, tapping the screen with her hoof. "50,000 points more and you would have overtaken my top score, it's very good really."

Upon hearing Frag's words and seeing his score on the screen of the game, Boss froze. 50,000 points more?! He could have sworn she had scored less than that! Maybe she had scored higher since he'd last checked or maybe in his eagerness, he remembered the number being different than it actually was.

Drops of sweat began to bead on his brow. He tried to think fast. There was no way he was going to suffer this sort of humiliation in front of his idolized half sister right here and now. Not after he'd invited her here especially to see his score and had just now been bouncing around like a pinball.

"Uh...ya know, I think this is the wrong game," he told her, edging away from the machine. "After spending fourteen hours hardcore gaming, my brain's a little fried. Uhh...that one! Maybe it was that one!" the foal exclaimed, pointing to another arcade game a little ways away. "You'll definitely be impressed when you see my score there."
