Alassiel had ventured to the border of Jauhar and Tale, but she’d never set foot across it. Now that she was free to roam as she pleased, Tale was her first stop. She wanted to know everything about it and meet some new people. Since she had little idea of where she was going, Alassiel followed alongside a river which grew considerably small as she went deeper into Tale. She’d heard that water here was stored deep underground, not being close to water made Alassiel antsy and she found herself heading towards the ocean to feel at home surrounded by the large body of water.
Once Alassiel had reached her destination she set up camp and set up a fire. She wanted to at least get something in to eat and rummaged through her supplies to find a few vegetables that she skewered and placed over the fire to roast while she went to fish. She was going to keep an eye on those veggies in case they were stolen. Then she went into the water trident in hand and watched for some fish. She could replenish her supplies with some dried fish as well and maybe smoke it if she found some good wood.

Xarnith was sent out to do minor gathering, put out by the fact that they sent him so close to dark. It was as if they wanted him to camp out. Heaving a deep sigh the youth set out to find a good spot for.....camp. His head tilted as he saw flickering firelight. Well....that's new. The youth shifted the pack on his back as he checked on the bag which held his gathered plants so far. The plants were mainly for eating, but he spotted a few healing ones he knew they were low on. So, he helped himself. As he walked towards the camp he saw the female attempting to fish. Not being too skilled with the trident himself the youth walked till he was directly in front of her, "Not to interrupt but...it would be far less messy if you catch them barehanded..." He stepped forward, lowering his stuff gently before stepping into the water slowly. The male's eyes were half lidded as he watched the fish. Waiting...waiting...then a swift movement and he held up the flailing fish, "See?" Though now his pants were soaked in an embarrassing manner...

Caught off guard since she’d been paying attention to a fish, Alassiel turned around quickly trident out and at the ready. When she saw she was I no danger she lowered her weapon.
“I am sorry, you caught me off guard,” She glanced between the weapon and the new Earthling. “Less messy but a lot harder.” Was he a fisher too? She saw his bag but it didn’t look like a bag to carry fish in. Granted she wasn’t home and they might do things differently here, Alassiel told herself she had to keep an open mind especially if she wanted to meet new people.
Curiously, Alassiel watched him and was impressed when he did manage to catch a fish.
“Oh wow, are you a fisher too?” Her family used nets and she liked using her trident even if it was supposed to be a weapon. “I’ve never been able to catch fish with my hands, how did you do it?” It was certainly a skill that would come in handy if she ever lost her trident and she didn’t have a net handy. Maybe she’d figure out a way not to get as wet as he did otherwise she’d be sitting by the fire all night.

While normally Xarnith might of been able to keep up the cool guy act. This wasn't one of those times as the fish decided to flail while in his hand. The young wind was caught off guard as he attempted to reply to the female while struggling to catch the potential meal. "Well...most of my--gah! Experience comes from...urgh. Foraging for...-blast..." the fish plopped back into the waters, "A meal for the clan." He sighed before turning to go back to his belongings. As the youth turned his foot caught on a small rock. One pain filled outcry later found the male soaked. With a grumble he took off his light armor and threw it up onto the shore where his bag rested. He then made a splash as his arm flopped back into the waters at his side. That was completely unwarrior-like for him to suffer. He let out a long sigh...

So this wind guy was foraging huh? Alassiel watched him with a smile on her lips and laughter on her tongue. When he fell she could no longer contain herself and burst out laughing using her trident to hold on to as she wiggled around holding her stomach. She had not met that many Earthlings in her short time, but she guessed that perhaps the Wind Earthlings weren’t exactly up for this kind of fishing. She wasn’t going to point it out though, but she did calm her laughing once he’d thrown over his armor.
“Are you sure that you know, fishing is your thing?” It wasn’t meant to be a jab.
Foraging wasn’t exactly like fishing, so Alassiel went back to her poise with her trident ready to strike. Her eyes moved and followed a fish and when she striked her aim was true. She pierced the fish and it stayed on the trident when she took it out of the water.
“Do you use anything else other than your hands?”

Xarnith stood and started to feel a slight chill. Great. He had no way to dry himself and now he was gunna get sick on the way home. he glanced to the female who had been enjoying his plight. He shrugged. "Its how i was taught. I've chosen the shield. As such according to my clan's traditions. I am not to take up any weapon besides my own body." As he spoke he wrung out his hair...seems the water got half of it wet. Great. More risk of getting sick.

“That is an interesting tradition.” Alassiel had always rebelled against what her family had wanted for her; it was odd, no interesting to meet someone who followed his traditions so closely. “I must admit, you are the first Wind Tribes member I meet. I have not traveled very far.” She was hoping to go across the whole continent and meet as many people as she could. Though first she had to feed herself and actually survive before she made it anywhere and the learning curve had been quite steep. Not that she minded Alassiel had chosen this life after all.
“You know I have a fire going if you’d like to warm up and dry your clothing. I’ll also have some food to share.” Though she spoke to him, her eyes were on the water once more. She’d put the fish she’d caught in her pouch and needed at least another if she wanted to share her meal with this stranger.
“You know, you never did give me your name.” Bam, Alassiel had another fish speared and she smiled.

Xarnith shrugged. "Its a way to train really." As the male rolled his shoulder to get a kink out he blinked at her words. Oh...she was offering him kindness. Great! He got up and waded through the water with his belongings held above the water's reach. Careful not to really scare off the fish so the female had her prey. He reached the shore where she was camped and walked over to the fire pit. Sitting as he threw more wood on and tended to it. He glanced to her. "Nice shot...the name is Xarnith...you can call me Xarn."

With fish in hand, Alassiel was glad to get out of the cold water to get some warmth by the fire. As they drew closer, Alassiel speared her trident into the sand so it wasn't in the way and took a seat. The fish were going to need a bit of cleaning before they could eat them and that's that the Shifter started on. Scales were always a tricky thing to remove, hopefully he wasn't squeamish and didn't mind that the fish would keep it's head on while it cooked. “Nice to meet you Xarnith, I'm Alassiel.” Once she'd cleaned two fish she went to rinse them a bit in the water and speared a branch threw them before starting to cook them. “Have you traveled very far?”
