Hello D-Party!

Exciting news!

Diedrich's Birthday is going to be receiving an official full-on kickstarter from Gaia!

What does this mean?

Gaians will have the option to donate to the kickstarter, and depending on the total amount of gold donated, we could get as much as 50% of the donations, our own event forum and an item freebie! All of the funding will go 100% towards throwing an awesome party for Diedrich's Birthday!

Personal tiers will include four items and two achievements! (I have no idea what these will be, however!)

For our event to be "fully funded", Gaians will have to donate 80 trillion gold total! It is a goldsink, so if we reach that goal, we will have helped to sink 40 tril out of Gaia's economy! The other gold would go towards prizes for Diedrich's Birthday! I feel like this is a campaign promise somehow.

The kickstarter will run March 23rd-March 30th.

What else does this mean?

We will be getting a lot of attention from the community, and we are going to need your help!

We plan to put together a guide thread to our kickstarter that is going to include a little history about our group and President Diedrich, a list of frequently asked questions, links to everything we are using to help planning, and a guide to the personal and global tiers of the kickstarter.

I want us to work on this guide together so we can make it as helpful as possible!

We will need volunteer D-Party members to act as "greeters" in this thread. You all will be talking to folks who visit, answering questions to which you know the answers, sending them to a crew member if you don't know the answer, and just being a friendly representative of the D-Party to help them understand why we are putting together an event. If you are interested in volunteering, let us know!

If you want, you can volunteer to be a greeter. During the kickstarter (March 23rd- March 30th), you would try to be very friendly to people who post in the guide thread I am going to put together. You will help to tell them that the D-Party is a good group, and that you are excited for President Diedrich's Birthday.

Basically I want D-Partiers to help by being friendly to people when they show up to talk about our kickstarter.
