What IS This?
This...is a personality prompt contest for the third basket of the lovely Chii and the equally lovely Guilian! No rare and unique traits here, just a family line that has had a lot of love poured into it over the years. In the spirit of spreading the love, we want to bring a new owner into the fold! Who knows, maybe it'll be YOU!

-That said, the idea behind this contest is to get the baby into the hands of someone who is active in the shop and will give said baby a life beyond sig candy. Rp is a strong positive, though will not be required.

What are We Getting Ourselves Into? Aka...the family!
The Mother: Chii! (Well, technically Chalchiuitl Xochitl, but Chii)
About: Chii is an adventurous, cheerful, free spirited mare with little worries in the world other than finding the next treasure or thrill to send her heart pumping. There’s very little in the world that she fears and will easily rush head first into anything without thinking of the consequence to come. This doesn’t stop Chii however from caring about others or spending some time with those she loves or even finding new love. Chii believes that love is free to anyone regardless of race, gender or etc. as long as long as one is happy that is all that matters to her.
The Father: Guilian
About: Guilian is a romantic rogue who has lived his semi-nomadic life according to his own somewhat amoral code of free love. A lover of mares in all shapes and sizes and species, he already had twelve children from multiple mares when he met the incomparable Chii. Though he violently rejects the idea of monogamy, he respects others who choose to follow that path and never knowingly makes a move or accepts an advance from a 'taken' mare. Family is everything to Guilian, and he dotes on his children while making a point of keeping in touch with as many of his female friends as possible. Being upfront and honest about his intentions never hurts!

About the Family Situation As you might have noticed, both Guilian and Chii believe in free love. It should therefore not surprise you that both Guilian and Chii have other 'primary' life partners. However, the two struck it off very well due to their similar sunny outlooks, and have a close relationship that goes beyond their romantic situation. Upon learning Chii was expecting, Guilian took up residence with Chii for the duration of her pregnancy and the foals' young and squishy days. As they age, he will returning to his more casual, semi-nomadic existence. Since both parents believe in choice, foals will be able to decide if they accompany Guilian or go with Chii. There are very few constraints in this family!

(Brother, hanging gallow) A little more on the serious side of life, he tends to take things and looks at both sides of the issue before diving fully into situations that might cause trouble. He is overly fond of puzzles, complicated the better, and has a hard time at the moment staying too long in one place.
(Brother, Cajmera) This boy is an artistic firecracker. Perky, inquisitive, and passionate about things he finds pretty, he has a particular affinity for Kawani handicrafts and gravitates towards Kawani settlements. He has no concept of personal property and is consequently a cheerful kleptomaniac, taking whatever he finds interesting. On the opposite side of the coin, he's also generous to a fault, freely giving away his things as easily as he collects them.
(Sister, hanging gallow) Like Chii and Guilien she has rather bubbly easygoing personality. Never letting things get her down she likes to bring cheer to others as often as she can.

Relationship: Chii's lovemate
About: Terror is a strange mare being raised from basket emerging by a family of hares. Often times she is found chatting to herself, speaking in the third person, and easily getting distracted by newfound shiny things. Despite her curiosity things that seem dangerous, threatening, and possible life threatening Terror would rather turn hide and run unless she is dragged along usually by some promise of treasure lingering at the end of the adventure. There are few in the soquili world that Terror holds dear to her that she would most of what she could for (mostly those who are of family relation in some way including Scrappy her side kick hare brother/caretaker/maintainer of her sanity).
Relationship: Guilian's 'not-a-lifemate-lifemate' and mother of four of his kids.
About: Guilian's 'other half', Luca is a languid, pleasure-driven mare who follows a similar life path of free love as Guilian and Chii. She is extremely loving to everyone she meets, and dotes on foals (whether or not they are her own!). Luca is extremely relaxed, both physically and temperamentally; her calmness and unflappability has stood her good stead during her time with Guilian. She shares a primary residence with Guilian in the forest, although she periodically goes on the move herself, time has helped turn her into more of a homebody. She considers any children Guilian has to be her children in spirit, even if she's not actually their mother, and considers him the father of her children by other stallions in the same vein.
Relationship: Terror's son, Chii's stepson
About: Bugarup and his brother Ecksian call themselves the Mad Hatters, with their rather fond of wizard hats that look like their mother’s. Like his mother Bugarup has an odd way of speaking at times, mostly in little riddles or phrases however his forte is in telling tales that he has either heard or experience himself. Spending most of his time traveling the Soquili lands to find any sort of strange places, meeting strange Soquili, or even just adventuring into unknown haunted territory Bug has little fear of anything he encounters like his other mother Chii. Creepy, scary things fascinate him and he loves to feel a chill or two running along his back when he can and loves to return the favor to others.
Relationship: Terror's son, Chii's stepson
About: Ecksian is a happy, fun-loving, jokester. He always seems to be switching his personality to make some sort of joke, he is rarely serious, for he finds that boring, but he will calm down when the time is needed and he provides his undivided attention. Ecksian has a kind heart, he is always giving and would cross countless lands for his friends and he rarely asks anything in return. His strange personality has made him wise, he knows when it is a time to joke and when it is a time to be serious. He loves to give advice when it is asked of him, for he would never give advice unasked.
Relationship: Guilian's son
About: Antony is one of Guilian's oldest children, and one to whom he remains closest. Half-Kalona, Antony learned to fight out of necessity and fear of harm to himself and his family, first from his own mother, later from other Kalona. He is a massive fellow, the largest member of the family to date; in spite of that, he is kindly and good-natured, hating violence unless absolutely pushed to self-defense. However, in a fight he will show no quarter. He and his little brood live near Guilian's primary residence, and he often comes by to visit his father. He also likes to make a point of meeting 'the siblings,' which can be quite an undertaking! Tony and his Kalona lifemate would be good resources for anyone interested in pursuing a more combat-oriented lifestyle.
Relationship: Guilian's son
Laureat is another of Guilian's closest offspring, in this case literally; an avid gardener, green hoof, and lover of plants, Laureat maintains the family rose garden as well as a bower of other plants and flowers in the home compound, which he shares with Guilian and Luca. His love of plants is an offshoot of his love of beauty in general; Laureat is drawn to the attractive like a moth to a flame. He splits his time between home, where he cultivates the garden with almost no help, and travelling about the region, where he collects new plants for transplant, delivers flowers to his family, and otherwise enjoys the variety of nature. He is currently working on a post-Great-Kawani-Fire reforesting project, bringing seeds and saplings into the edge of the forest most damaged by the fire. Eternally optimistic and devoted to his family, Laureat is thrilled to welcome new siblings and has even struck up a warm friendship with Chii!

Username: DarkenWoodWolf Name of Filly: Jieri About: Jieri will be rather adventurous, spending a lot of her time as a filly and as an adult getting into trouble because she loves to wander and meet new Soquili. She is bold and not afraid of anything, at first, but as she grows older, I would like for her to encounter some evil or at least mean Soquili who will make her more wary of others.
Family is going to be very important to her as she grows up, so I want tons of rp with her siblings and her parents, just because they are going to be so important in her life. As she grows older, though, and gets the itch to travel and see more of the world, she may become a little distant, more distracted by her desire to leave than her love for them.
She won't be the type of filly to want to have a fling and then be done with the male, she's a life mate type, but I think it would be interesting to have her first love betray her in that way, getting her pregnant and then leaving her with the children, maybe taking one with him or not. I think it would make it harder for her to trust her next, and true, love, which would be fun to plot out and rp.
When she is little, she will take after her family a lot, bright and sunny personality, but as she grows, and events take place in her life, her disposition will become darker, less trusting, but more caring of the people in her life that have stuck by her and are trustworthy.

Username: spelldancer Name of Filly: Coaxoch About: “It was before I was supposed to meet up with you, and I figured I had time to go get some flowers for Laureat. He likes flowers and I wanted to get him something nice. I had seen these interesting ones over the hill a ways, and thought that they would be a neat thing to show him. Maybe he hadn’t even seen them before! But before I even got there, there was a kalona that showed up! He started making mean comments and suggesting thing, like wanting to hurt me, or follow me home to hurt my family. I couldn’t let that happen! I…I had to do something! So I charged the kalona. Rammed right into his side and knocked him over! We tumbled down the hill into the stream. He must have hit his head on something because he wasn’t moving. Still breathing, but not moving. I made sure his head wasn’t in the water because I didn’t want him to die and then booked it. But that is why I am covered in mud and bruises. Really. …. Really that is what happened. I… All right, fine. I was chasing a butterfly and slipped and fell in the stream…. But can I tell the others the first reason, Dad, please? The real one is embarrassing.”
Coaxoch wants life to be a grand adventure and when it isn’t, she will rewrite what happened to be the grand adventure it should have been. But she isn’t good a sticking to the same story or even to a story that isn’t the truth. She wants to be honest but she thinks that wouldn’t it be more grand if it had gone another way, and that should be the way it is remembered. It is dangerous for her because the previous story is a typical mess that Coaxoch will come up with on the fly. Coaxoch wants to be just like the great adventurers her parents are, but even better, and would eat up any stories that they might tell her about the world. Her greatest dream right now is to find hidden treasure, an ancient ruin, a lost herd, or… well find anything special really.
Plot ideas: As a filly: Leading/ be lead by her siblings on what should be a grand adventure and turns into a disaster of a time.
Getting into to trouble for making a mess of Laureat’s garden while searching for treasures.
Trying to follow Chii or Guilian on a trip because they might be having a great adventure without her.
Other mischief and mayhem.
When older: Getting into more serious trouble and needing her family to help her get out of it.
Finding someone that believes her stories and falls in love with them only to discover that they were not true and leave her because of it. This will help her to stop making up quite so fanciful tales.
Finding hidden treasure in an unexpected way or source, such as a beautiful valley that is home to flutters.
And of course, falling madly in love with someone. Could be the same someone that leaves her over her stories or someone who stays despite them.

Username: Novablu Name of Filly: Xanadu (meaning: an idealized place of great or idyllic magnificence and beauty) About:
Personality: Xanadu, or Xannie as she's often called, is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Endless energy. A performer, complete with dramatics. Afraid of nothing (literally--it's like she has zero fear, but also tends to lack common sense when it comes to things she SHOULD fear, giving her a reckless appearance) and willing to go to extreme lengths to make people happy, you could say she's a bit of a people-pleaser. Especially her papa <3
Because of her fearlessness, Xannie will get into some...tricky situations that could easily wind up with her losing many of fights--so she's taken it upon herself to seek training from Antony and will absorb anything he has to teach her like a sponge. (And a sponge never forgets... Wait. Maybe that was an elephant... Either way!) She will learn to fight, even if it's only to protect herself...and others, if she happens to find herself with a damsel (or dom) in distress!
She is a dreamer, a lover, a creature of high spirits. And she has a...rather overactive imagination. She tends to 'see' things (or, well, imagine them, if you will) that aren't truly there--things that only she can interact with, and her imagination soars to new bounds each and every day. She puts on a mask and becomes someone new--a pirate queen, a kalona princess, a dragon that guards a den of treasure--and will "perform" an act for those who find her interesting--or whenever she's bored. She keeps herself company, never in need of someone to talk to when she has so many characters in her head! Had she been born a human in modern times, she would be a writer of the fantastical.
She's very fond of her large and wacky family, but being surrounded by so many parental figures has kind of skewed her reality a bit. Each of her characters have a "lifestyle choice" but she herself isn't sure what sort of lifestyle fits her; it will be a mini-quest of sorts via RP to figure out her own love reality. ICly I can see her settling down with either gender, in a poly group, or even just stick to passionate, loving flings like her father. It all depends on the RP wink
She can be naive...but you can never quite tell when it's "just an act" or if it's the "true Xanadu" shining through. I can see her having issues, as an adult, separating fantasy from reality... Fun little tidbit!
She's also a temper-tantrum thrower, her temper quick to light but quick to burn out. Arguments with the family over silly things will surely ensue.

Username: ShadowsCursed Name of Filly: Seffora About: Seffora blindly accepts rules, is dutiful and responsible. She is uptight, but polite towards others. She doesn't stand for a lot of goofing around, even while she's a foal.
As a foal she finds it hard to make many friends due to her "mother hen" kind of attitude. "No no no, guys, we'll get hurt." "Don't touch that." "We shouldn't eat that." "I'm telling on you!" She's a total basket case, especially while she's growing up. A total buzz kill for her play buddies, but she still enjoys to laugh.
She believes she's meant to serve in some sort of capacity. While her reserved nature means she doesn't stretch out to meet others very frequently she does keep an ear out for opportunities to help others. While she'll always be "preachy" and very anxious, she aims to take care of others with genuine love.
However, do not insult her. She's highly sensitive and will get uncharacteristically loud and border-line annoying. If she believes she is being treated unfairly she will throw a temper until the situation is put right.

Username: Lady Aria Starstone Name of Filly: Vadoma About: When young, her family will be her heart and her all. She will not at all be prone to wandering off, to get in trouble, for she wishes to be close to those she loves. When strangers come near, she is quiet, and not prone to putting herself forwards, which earns her the image of being shy. This is, in fact, not the case... She's just observing the strangers, and learning about them. If she decides to trust them, she will open up to them. Sadly, this can, sometimes, lead to her making inaccurate judgments on strangers, if all she sees is what happens when they're around her family. It will, occasionally, lead her to trusting some one she, perhaps, shouldn't have... Or assuming that that mean stallion who told off Sister for playing in his garden was, in fact, actually mean and maybe evil... And discovering, to her chagrin, he's really a generous fellow who just didn't want his herbs trampled.
As she gets older, she'll grow more outgoing, and travel... And one day, she hears the sea. On that day, she goes out on her own, because the sea has called to her. She wont be trying to move into it, or something silly... But she will hunt for a place to reside near the sea, that she can always hear it, smell the salt air, and feel the breezes coming off the waters. She's likely to find a cave to move into, near the shore, that she can hide from the elements inside of, and then use that as a base to travel along the shore. She will collect shells, and other things tossed ashore, and try to create art with them... But find it a challenge, being handsless.
She is, like her father and mother, unlikely to have just one breeding partner. She's the sort to take a lovemate, and have many children with surrogates. She might even fall in love with a mer, with her inclination towards the sea... And try to find a cave with an inlet in it, so they could reside together.
Her need for the sea will be both a joy and a pain in her life, for she truly wishes she COULD explore beneath the waves, and will never be able to.
Her greatest fault will be her tendency to judge on first impressions... Even as she grows up, she will find it very hard to get past that.
Username: ~Latonia de la Courtel~ Name of Filly: "Ino" Inoma Ihiztaquiltic (Herself; On her own) (light green) About: Temper: Endearing Personality: Ino is light-hearted and free spirited, raised by her parents to be very open minded and accepting. She is happiest when wandering the lands and meeting as many unique individuals as possible, and has a mind like a steel trap. Once she's met you, you're on her radar! Everyone is a friend to Ino, her joyous personality and genuine glee at a renewed friendship make her a charming companion. She is fairly slow to anger and quick to forgive, preferring to keep an upbeat and sunny outlook on life in general. Always ready with a joke, a quip or a story to brighten someone's attitude, she just wants to be a ray of sunshine or a shining star in the land.
Like her mother she is always on the look-out for treasures, but is happy to gift these away to friends. She hopes these little tokens will serve as a reminder of her, and that somehow they will ensure she and those she is so fond of cross paths again. Due to her parents influence she believes in the freedom of love. Nomadic and inquisitive by nature, she is always interested in hearing one's story, learning new things and meeting new species/varities of Soquili. When time allows she likes to pursue what arts are available to her, such as painting or drawing interpretations of her adventures, friends and surroundings.
Notes: (As a Foal) Sibling Rivalry: I see her trying to compete with her "Artistic Firecracker" of a brother. She'd probably shadow his steps to the village (and get distracted by playing with someone)... And I'm sure they'd have quite the time "trading" bits of their collections back and forth.
Meet the Family: Ino would undertake a mini "quest" of a kind to meet as many of her relatives (half siblings etc) as possible.
Word Gets Around: Because she's so social, I see Ino establishing a sort of 'network' of her friends across the land. This will enable her to pass short messages or receive bursts of news as the talk travels through her various companions. She may have a few set locations that she regularly 'visits' and can pick up messages there. (This may be later strengthened by obtaining a familiar). In the long run, she could turn into a bit of a Pony Express for news, gossip, and interesting tales.
(As an Adult) Love: Due to her parent's views on life and love, Ino will remain nomadic in her adulthood. She'll be happiest when visiting family or the vast network of friends she has built over the land, and would want any companion to understand that there are many held dear in her heart. (Likely a Lovemate and/or various one-time "free love" trysts)
Wandering: Because of the restless hooves she's inherited from her parents, Ino will probably take to wandering on her own a little 'early' in adulthood. This will lead to all sorts friends, and of course Trouble!
Trouble: Because she's so cheerful and social, I would love for her to run afoul of some of the darker Soquili in the land. Perhaps even being captured by a Kalona or Walker. Eventually she would escape and return to the heart of her family, where she would take some time to heal and reconnect with them.

Username: Kyrieko Name of Filly: Kanoni ("Little bird" in African) About: [ Temper: Animated ] In as few words as possible? Utterly rambunctious. As in, who let this little foal get a hold of the sugar cubes! Always in constant motion and seeking to have a good time, she does not know the meaning of 'feeling blue' or 'relaxing'. A very sweet creature to her core, she'll always have a bright outlook on everything! If you're upset, don't worry! You're bestest buddy will come cheer you up! Whether that requires this mare to act an utter fool, or just find the right thing to say, you can rely on the fact that by the time you're laughing, you'll forget why you were so down to begin with. This is probably the mellowest you'll ever see this hyper gal! Everything is fun and games and why are you so serious, man? However this does not mean she is incapable of acting serious when the time calls for it. It's just... not the first reaction you'll get from her. But when she is acting serious, she'll almost be a completely different mare. Much less vocal and letting her mind work out the problem. Until she can't figure something out, then it's the question rapid fire. And once she gets going, she'll make 'twenty questions' seem more like twenty seconds.
Plot Ideas Chill Out - With so much energy constantly bubbling out of this mare, she's bound to irritate someone(s) eventually. But being the little naive duckling she is, she'll not understand the fact that not everyone appreciates her boundless energy. But when it happens, and someone finally gets annoyed too much and snaps at her, Kanoni will seek out a family member to talk with and try to understand what she did wrong.
Adventure Time - Having so many siblings, there is bound to be some exciting adventures waiting to be undergone! Any and all trouble she can get into with her siblings is welcome!
All the Siblings - Meeting someone with so few siblings or that is an only child will be a concept Kanoni finds horrifying. How did they keep themselves entertained?! Who did they have to talk with?? I'd love to have her meet Soq that didn't have... 12+ siblings to grow up or around!
Love Has no Bounds - Like both her parents, Kanoni feels that it's impossible to love just one individual. And she'll share her own love with multiple soq! However (after at least two flings) there are strange feelings roiling about in her gut when she finds herself drawn back to the same soq. A stronger feeling then what she's felt before. It will confuse her and she'll seek out her family for advice.

Ideas: - Owen (Meaning of Owen: "young warrior; well-born") - Corliss (Meaning of Corliss: "Happy, Free from Care") - Seeley (Meaning of Seeley: "Very Happy") - Gucci (Meaning of Gucci: "Designer name" -- Mostly because... Probably going to end up giving her a first and a middle name... )) About: As a foal, she's going to be the happy-go-lucky her family is. Even if she sees and/or experiences something negative, she will try her best to look at the positive side of things. This may or may not end up her being kind of foolish and naiive (but hey... it also makes her adorkable). She's quite sociable and loves making new friends (small or large, young or old... naughty or nice). I'd -hope- she's smart enough not to be friendly with a 'walker, but... Who knows. Plots?
She probably won't choose to tag along with her parents, but with a sibling, most likely Caj's boy because of his creativity. She'd travel with him and watch the Kawani people and eventually develop an interest in clay/pottery. Learning from them, she would eventually make her own simple creations. Little by little, her craft would grow and her desire to make more intricate designs and patterns on pottery would as well. She would only be able to do so much with her own wings.
Eventually, she will befriend some raccoon friends and teach them about pottery. She would make the larger pieces and the raccoons would help her with the smaller, more intricate details. With these projects, she would leave them at random locations as gifts, both for other Soquili as well as the Kawani people. Posssible plots: - Artsy with the brother: Lots of bonding with brother! She would love to travel with him and learn all that artsy-fartsy stuffs. She'd try a little bit of everything before she found her niche. - Gifts for those important to her: When she starts developing her skills more, she will make gifts for those important to her, mainly her parents and direct siblings. She'd most likely go in search of her half-siblings and gifts. - Designing something for father: I think it would be neat if she designed a... shield of sorts for her father to give his family (and future family to come). She respects her father's free love as well as her mother's. - Raccoon friends: She'd have a herd of raccoon. She'd need them for her artwork and... since she'd have a tendency of getting dirty with the clay works, many paws to keep her clean and presentable. - Clean or dirty: ... Username: Lunadriel Name of Filly: Oh gosh, I'm one of those people that can take two hours starting a game, just to settle on a good name. e.e However, being that I'm moving to Japan for three years, the name Yoko seemed a fitting tribute. We'll be moving to Yokosuka, Japan. I can pick something more fitting to the family, once I see her. ((Looove Guillian and his line! Thanks for the chance to be a part of it!)) About: The mare will be an odd ball. Every family has at least one! When Soquili meet her, she will come off as courteous, but faintly aloof. Not that she doesn't enjoy meeting people, she just has her own way of expressing herself. Kind words with a face that doesn't always back it up. Her easy going, light hearted family, will always fascinate her. She LOVES being around anyone in her family. Feeding off their good vibes, makes her feel good about life. Hopefully, somepony in the family will understand her, and she can bond with them. Awkward as she is, she'll be blatantly honest. Sometimes to a comical degree. To those that don't know her well, she might seem rude. It will be something that she struggles with well into adult hood.
Eventually, it would be nice for her to fall in love. And even though it won't radically change who she is, it will give her a glow that her family notices right away. She'll have little moments of genuine laughter and smiles, caught in a moment that would cause someone that knows her well enough, to wonder what changed. If questioned, she'll go back to her aloof manner, not even realizing the change herself. Wondering what ever could they mean? XD
Username: Anabis Name of Filly: Ivy About: Ivy follows in her parents and siblings footsteps, being a very happy-go-lucky sort, but she's also very shy and withdrawn from strangers outside the family. A Curious little filly, she'd be struggling pretty frequently between meeting someone new or trying something different and sticking close to her parents' sides for security, but for those she already knows, she's a bundle of energetic joy, romping about and playing. Maybe she'll grow out of her shyness with encouragement from her family as an adult, though I don't think she'll grow out of the energetic little 'monster' she can become around someone she already knows. Why be scared of friends?
Possible plot ideas? First Flight (if she has wings) - Flying for the first time can be scary! Maybe scary enough she won't want to leave the ground, not without a little push... or a shove.
Lost! - Somehow, Ivy gets separated from her family, and has to learn to trust someone else to help her find them again. Put a little crack in that shy shell of hers.
First Friend/Rival - Who will be the first one outside the family to find out she's not quite as shy as she seems, and how will they react to that?
Too many siblings! - It's bound to happen in large families, fighting with the siblings! Maybe over a piece of art or a treasure, or just jealous of some misconceived notion that her parents love her siblings more then they love her for some reason. Might open into the 'Lost' Plot idea if the argument/jealousy makes her wander off on her own for a bit. Once she calms down though, she'd probably go apologize to her family for causing such drama and try to set things right again.
What is this feeling? - As she grows up, she'll start having crushes on others and start following her parents examples of everyone worthy of love, but will her shyness get in the way of that, or will one of her 'friends' become her first love? Will she stay with that one other, or will she share her love with many?
