 Liam softly padded out of the boy's dormitory and stopped in the common room and was glad to see that it was nearly empty. He really didn't need anyone asking him where he was going or teasing him about it. He glanced down at the note in his hands and smiled and then slide it into his back pocket.
He made his way over to the bookshelf next to the fireplace and took down his box of owl treats and pulled out a handful of them stashed them in his hooded sweatshirt pocket and then put the box back. Then he glanced around once again, and pulled out a bag from his right pocket and opened it to look inside.
He smiled and pocketed the bag and made his way out of the Hufflepuff Common room.
As he crawled out of the tunnel and out from behind the barrels he wondered if anyone of the older students ever had gotten stuck in the tunnel to their common room. It would be rather funny if someone did get stuck. it would look pretty funny.
Liam made his way through the castle and outside towards the owlery as quickly as he could. He really didn't want to keep Destiny or his owl Anda waiting for too long. He was looking forward to surprising his girlfriend with the gift he had gotten for her. He was sure she wasn't going to expect it, as it was nowhere near any sort of special holiday or anniversary. He was sure she would be completely shocked and happy when she saw what it was.
He skipped up the stairs to the top of the owlery and paused to zip up his sweater to keep the sharp wind from cooling him down too much.
He walked into the owlery, stepping around the fallen owl droppings and mouse bones on the floor and made his way over to the silvery haired girl who was sweet talking his golden colored owl. He smiled, and stepped up behind her, pulling her into his arms and hugged her from behind.
"Hello Desi. I hope you didn't have to wait for me too long."

 Destiny this time came prepared and she was wearing warm hoodie, since the owlry was a open and outdoorsy. She was standing beside Anda's perch and chatting with Anda, Liam's golden owl. Not that owls could talk but Anda was good company when Liam wasn't around. She still wished she had her own owl.
She squeaked in surprise as Liam came up from behind her and turned to face him. "Liam!, and actually no I wasn't Anda is good company" she said to him lightly and then shifted her gaze to Anda then back to him. She smiled and hugged him "much needed hug!" she told him happily and planted a kiss on his cheek.
Lately, there was gossip about the two of them filtering throughout the school which made it harder to see him without other students teasing them. She was glad that they had simmered down so she stopped getting strange looks and giggles from the other girls that attended the school.

Liam smiled down at Destiny and ran a hand through her slightly wavy hair. "That's good to hear, I was hoping it wouldn't take me long to get up here. It's a little chilly up here isn't it?" He asked and pulled her close to keep her warm.
He blushed slightly whens he kissed him but didn't pull back. He was starting to get used to her sudden kisses to his cheek. Maybe one of these days he'd get the guts to actually kiss her on the mouth. He wondered how soon that might be.
Of course he wasn't going to do that in any public spot where they would be seen. He had had enough of the teasing that the other boys were dishing out on him for having a girlfriend and for so long. He thought the other boys were just jealous, but wasn't going to point that out. That would only make them angry at him.
He pushed those thoughts away,and pulled out a few treats out of his pocket and tossed one to Anda. Anda perked up and caught it with a snap of her beak and ate it quickly. Then she eyed him sharp eyes waiting for another one.
"Of course I have more silly girl, " he said with a laugh and laid the rest of the treats where she could get them easily. "just don't eat them too fast."
He turned back to Destiny and pulled out the bag and put it into her hands. "I hope you like it, though it's not your whole gift." He said with a wink.
Inside the pouch was a small silver charm of an owl on a silver chain. He had ordered it specially to look like the owl that he had gotten for her. Unfortunately the owl wasn't due to arrive at Hogwarts until a few days later. He was sure she would love it. He hoped she wouldn't mind having to wait to get her owl. He knew she had wanted one for a long time and was always talking about getting one.

Destiny smiled as he pulled her closer to him to keep her warm "I'm sure it wouldn't have taken that long, then again there is gossip filitering about the school about us, which is kind of off putting" she said to him frowning a little and she nodded her head "it is chilly up here" she agreeded. She lightly leaned into his touch as he ran a hand through her wavy hair.
She glanced behind her at Anda and giggled lightly as Anda was expecting more then one treat from him "Silly Anda, Liam alway has more then one for you" she told the owl with a smile and then faced Liam again once he had pulled out a bag and set it in her hands. She was curious what it was, she was not expecting a gift from him, but she did appreciate his spontaneous times when he did have them.She was grateful that he was keeping her warm, even with a hoodie on she still loved his hugs.
She opened the bag and peered into and lightly tipped it to get the necklace out making sure it landed in the palm of her hand and not on the ground. She smiled at Liam "Oh..Liam its beautiful!" she told him holding it up so the sunlight glinted off of it. "Can you help me put it on" she asked and blinked at him "there's more?" she asked him.

Liam couldn't help but admire her expressions, such small changes completely changed how she looked. He wondered if she realized that she had these small little wrinkles around her mouth when she frowned. He knew better than to bring that up though. She'd probably smack him with her hand if he did say something.
"Well it felt like it took awhile," He admitted. He sighed happily as she leaned into him. "She's always like that." He said fondly watching as Anda scarfed up the last of the treats and then hooted at him.
He then watched as Destiny opened the bag and exclaimed over the gift. He knew it had been perfect and that she would love it. "Sure I can help." he answered and pulled her hair out of the way and took the necklace from her and carefully opened the clasp and reattached it when it was around her neck. The chain was big enough to have slide it on over her hair, but he didn't want her hair getting caught in the chain. He knew that she hated when her hair got caught or pulled in chains.
"Yes there is more, " he paused and looked down at the necklace on her neck. "You've always said you wanted an owl right? well..this necklace is only a representation of the owl that is coming later this week. My older brother helped me and found a silver owl with white markings very similar to Anda's. And he's got sapphire colored eyes."

Destiny smiled at him lightly and hugged him "I have the patience to wait for you, no matter how long it takes for you to get up here" she told him nodding her head. She was willing to wait for him, and she was hoping he would do the same when it was required.
She lightly touched the owl pendant with her fingers as he put it on around her neck. "Its really a beautiful necklace, I love it and you too" she told him with a smile as she lightly interlocked her fingers with his. She probably should have braided her hair before she came up her. That was an idea that didn't occur to her before she left her dorm, but she figured Anda would enjoy company. She smiled as the golden owl hooted at Liam as what she thought was a thank you in owl language.
She nodded her head "Yes, I have mentioned that on more then one occasion" she told him thinking about it. Her eyes went wide "you got me an owl!?" she exclaimed. She was also not expecting that either "That is so sweet of you Liam and I look forward to seeing him, now Anda will have company" she said to him with a smile.

Liam savored the feel of her arms around him as she hugged him. He hugged her back, letting his hands trail down her back gently.
"I am thankful for that trait of yours. Most girls are so impatient." he replied gazing into her bright teal eyes.
His eyes trailed down to the pendant that she was now touching. He was glad that she loved it so much. " I am so glad that you like it so much. I love you so much." He told her sighing slightly as she interlocked her fingers into his.
He watched her hair swirl around in the breeze and realized she must have been in a hurry to get up here. Usually she had it braided so that it wouldn't get all tangled by the wind. The cold northern winds seemed to be getting stronger and stronger, meaning there might be snow coming again soon.
"You aren't too cold are you?" He asked with concern. He couldn't help that she didn't have a scarf or a hat. He had forgotten to bring either of those items as well. He really should have been a little smarter about that.
He couldn't help but smile when she reacted to his revelation of the second part of the gift. He loved how her eyes and face light up at it. "Yes I did." He replied with a smile. "He should be here by the weekend. I just hope Anda will get along with him. We'll have to be carefully how we introduce them."
He rubbed his hands to warm them and then took hers hands in his own and rubbed on them as well. "It's getting kind of cold up here, shall we go get some hot chocolate from the Great Hall? Or maybe some hot cider?"

Destiny smiled lightly at him "yeah I would have to agree with you there, some are impatient" she said thinking about it, most of the girls her age were impatient about waiting for things, but nope, not her she was patient as can be.
She used her free hand and flipped on her hood, it was starting to get a little too chilly up here, she was not prepped for the wind to pick up. She glanced at him "I'm actually starting to get really cold" she told him, the wind had picked up when they first had gotten up here.
She nodded her head "I look forward to the arrival of it" she said really excited to see it, if it was in the likeness of the owl pendant she now wore he would be one pretty owl. "I'm sure the two will get along fine, but just to be cautious we'll do it carefully" she told him trying not to shiver.
"hot cider sounds like a good plan" she told him thoughtfully, she really needed to work on being prepped for the weather on outings like this, but at the same time she didn't want to be over dressed in case it was warm out, she sighed lightly a small puff of her hot breath visible in front of her. She shook her head weather at Hogwarts was unpredictable.

Liam wasn't surprised when Destiny agreed with him. He had seen way too many of his share of impatient girls. Most of them were in his classes. Always in a rush to get somewhere and running around like chickens with their heads cut off. He couldn't help but laugh at the image.
"Oh I know all too well. Some remind me of chickens all scatter brained."
Liam watched her as she flipped her hood up and shiver slightly from the wind. He placed his hands on her shoulders and and rubbed them to warm her up. "That wind has gotten pretty chilly." He agreed. He stopped to pull his hood up as well.
"I can tell, " He told her, happy to see her so excited about the arrival of her owl. "That's a good idea." He rubbed down her back and then back up to her shoulders and arms. "Is that helping at all?" He asked.
After a few moments of massaging her briskly he stopped and wrapped an arm around her waist and tried to shield her from the wind. 'If I had my wand I'd try use a heating spell. I need to remember to keep it on me."

Destiny giggled lightly at the comparison "I would have to agree, some are like that. There are others who aren't like that, like your sister for instance, she seems to not be rushing around" she said, thinking about it. She didn't know Maer very long but she looked like the type who enjoyed taking her time.
She smiled lightly at him at his attempt to warm her up "It is a little bit, but not a whole lot" she told him. She sidled closer to Liam "I'm sure Anda and my owl will get along well" she said remaining optimistic about the idea. She sighed contently as he wrapped his arm around her waist in attempt to shield her from the onslaught of the wind. "A heating spell would be nice, but you hugging me is good too" she said, not effective as a heating spell but good enough, she enjoyed his hugs.

(SKIPPING TO SUNDAY)
Liam was once again sitting in the Great Hall next to Destiny, waiting for the mail to arrive. He sipped his hot chocolate and then scarfed down another chocolate chip scone. God, he loved the scones they made here.
It was a good thing they didn't allow Maer in the kitchens, she would probably have blown it up in an attempt to cook them. He couldn't help but smile at the memory of her doing such a thing at home not that long ago.
"So are you excited about your owl arriving today? I can't wait to introduce him to Anda. I kind of think they'll get along pretty well." Liam said turning to see Destiny's face.
He grabbed a couple more scones and an orange. Man was he hungry today. He wondered if it was because of all the walking around they had the day before. After they had gotten some hot chocolate, they had taken it out and walked around the grounds talking for hours about what they wanted to do in the next school year. Liam had finally told Destiny of his wish to try out for the Quidditch team, He had been surprised that she didn't argue against it but rather encouraged him to do it.

Destiny placed her hands in her lap, trying not to fidget as much, she was both nervous and excited to see her owl. She wondered if he would take well to her being his owner, the positive outlook on this was that Anda would have a companion now, but at the same she was worried they wouldn't get along. The good news was that this time around she had taken time to braid her hair so it wasn't in her face.
She glanced over at Liam "do you think they will take well, to each other? I'm really nervous about them meeting each other" she admitted to him. The end of the year was coming up quick and before they would know it they would be in their last year at hogwarts, she really hoped that her and Liam to stay together for the next year.

Despite Destiny's trying not to appear nervous, Liam could tell that she was. She rarely ever held her hands in her lap for this long. He reached down and put a hand on top of hers.
"It'll be fine, you'll make a great owner. Just make sure to give him treats when he does something right. I'm sure I can help you figure out anything that may come up. Anda took awhile to warm up to me when I first got her." Liam said trying to reassure her.
"I have no idea, maybe we should wait a day for them to meet. So he's not too overwhelmed at all the new things that are going on." Liam suggested.
A moment later he heard the hoots of the owls arriving with the mail and the fluttering of their wings. He watched eagerly waiting to see the silver owl arrive. One of his family's owls landed on his shoulder and offered him an envelope nearly as big as he was.
"Why what's this? Hello there Simon," he told the little owl as he scratched the owl under the chin. Then he pulled out some of Anda's grasshoppers and offered it to the small barn owl. Simon plucked it out of his fingers and gobbled it down quickly and hooed for another one almost immediately.
Liam laughed at the owl. "Greedy little thing aren't you?" He asked and then offered the owl another one and opened the envelope.
He quickly read it over and his eyes grew wide.
"Desi, my mom wants to know if you want to visit for a few weeks over the summer. She said she'd write your family if they needed some reassurance that you'd be well looked after."

Destiny smiled reassuringly at Liam "I hope so,maybe you can help me become as good as a owner as you are with Anda" she told him with a smiled and blinked reading over his shoulder a bit "Oh...welll, I would love to hang out with your parents for a few weeks in summer" she said and blinked, that just met they were really serious.
She watched the owls fly in, looking at each one noting subtle differences in all of them. She continued to watch to see if she could spot an owl similar to Anda in coloring just in a silver. She may have to seek Liam some advice about being the best owl owner she could be with her owl. She breathed a little and tried to calm herself down.

Liam couldn't help but grin at her. "I am sure you will do fine, " He replied tossing his hair back out of his eyes as he munched on yet another scone.
"I need to get this recipe to pass on to my mother. Hers always turn out too dry. I wonder what they put in them to make them perfect." He mused.
He was glad to hear her say she would like to hang out with his parents and then blinked. Wait..why was his mother inviting her to spend time over the summer? Did she just want to get to know her or was she going to test her like she had tested his older brothers' girlfriends.
"There's something I should tell you about my mother, " He began and then stopped speaking when he caught sight of the brightest silvery owl he had ever seen. If Anda looked like pure gold when she flew in the sunlight, this one looked like pure silver when he was in the light.
He watched in amazement as the owl performed several aerial acrobatics, turning in loops and flying around the entire room before he finally landed on the table next to Destiny. The owl looked up at her with inquisitive intelligent eyes that were deep sapphire blue.
"Desi, He's amazing." Liam breathed in awe at the owl that was still staring intently at her face.
