That smeargle keeps causing problems for the workings and nothing we've tried works. could one of you catch it and transport it else were for use please ? It be a great help." Yukie already knew what the pokemon was and was preset on catching it even if the man hadn't asked. "Iv got this one. Go Ghastly, Use hypnosis and knock it out.!" Yukie didn't need to throw a pokeball, the pokemon just faded into being just above his head hitting the smeagle dead center mass with the effect of glowing blue eyes. The pokemon staggered but quickly fell over knocked out cold. "Now go ekans and use bite!" He tossed a pokeball this time and out came a long purple snake which wasted no time and digging its fangs into the concision foe. Yukie tossed a pokeball. It didn't even shack, the captured was a clean one. Stepping up to the ball yukie retrieved his new smearlge prize before returning ekans while Ghastly faded back out of reality. "All mine now."

Like something from a horror movie she would repeatedly surprise the living poo out of them asking to see their technology. Even their printer was the latest model. It was amazing! Sakiko managed to get a temporary job with them.. it was just cleaning but she was even efficient at this and even managed to clean off delicate parts they hadn't figured out how to maintenance from the manual yet. The scientists quickly got used to her being oddballs themselves though mostly in less obvious ways. After the work was done they wanted her to help them examine something strange they'd found by using some of the new gear they'd been given. Yukie wasn't overly concerned with where he went next considering his prize was already won. "Fine, fine fine. lead the way, just stop pouting already." He remarked waving her off to following the Egg heads leaving her behind. "Better hurry though." He pointed up past the tree line and into the distance. Off the coast a storm most have hit Goldenrod and was now traveling in land. It wouldn't be to much longer before the storm struck the ruins, maybe just a few hours at best. He couldn't see the lightening nor hear the thunder coming in with the storm yet but he assumed it would follow none the less. Beyond even his fear of a beedrill, thunder could cripple him mentally. He would be fine so long as he was inside but if he was caught out when the storm struck Sakiko could be stuck dragging him some place out of the rain. "Not to rush anyone but its going to rain." Yukie didn't really object but did mention rain. The scientists and Sakiko all having about the same set of mind couldn't let go of the oppourtunity.. afterall what could go wrong? They had a little lift prepared that would work as long as it was dry out. Otherwise they'd have to walk around or something. It wasn't a long trip down just one where you needed to actively watch your step on the way back down.
They prepared the lift opening the door and uncovering and turning on the little lift engine. The scientists explained that there was a strange rock at the top and they wanted sakiko to take the silph co scanner and see if she could find anything. 2 scientists with a camera and another scanner also got on, yukie would be given his own camera to use for the sakiko + yukie exploration and demonstration team.
Sakiko got on excited to get to work, the lift seemed sturdy enough, it was held up by some strong looking mesh wires. I hatchet probably couldn't cut these very easily. This was a pretty well funded little group it looked like. "If we work quickly I don't think the rain should be much trouble" Her pokepad pinged and she looked at it... "Looks like we have a few hours" One of the pokescientists straightened his spectacles wondering what that was that looked up the weather for her but seemed to not say anything for now. The other two introduced themselves as Pokescientists and technicians Todd and Reina, new members of the Alph ruins team!

That marked it, something to do with that damn pad wasn't normal and Yukie's curiosity was peaked enough that now he had to know. Not now of course. To many people, no escape route, and plus Sakiko herself was an utter unknown for physical skills. He was an accomplished martial artist and could take most people easy in a fight but she caught him as someone he should watch out for just in cause. He could at least prob her for what she interests in all this sciency stuff was. "Miss Sakiko, can i ask what you do for a living ? You don't strike me as someone who's interests lay with pokemon alone." He looked up to her fiddling with the camera. It was an impressive modle if nothing else. Sakiko watched Yukie being really cute and go sparkle sparkle as he hid from the camera... it seemed so unfair.. she'd have to try that sometime. "eh.. she's a little camera shy I think." was that all it was? Sakiko thought as she lost her train of thought upon reaching the top of the cliff.

The pokescientists handed Sakiko the scanning device and she straightened her glasses looking at it a moment.. The readings made no sense but it seemed to be designed for testing the age of things. But she understood perfectly how it was supposed to work, she'd seen this or something similar before. After a brief moment of study Sakiko stepped off the escalator and blurted out, "are you a pokemon?" Hearing this the birds immediately flew or teleported off as the massive rock turned revealing itself to be a Nosepass but what was it doing here??? "Hmmm wanna come with me on my trip? You seem lost?" The Nosepass's legs popped out and it seemed to give a positive response but it also wanted something pointing to a sack on the top of a higher cliff beyond the one they were already on.

Had he been a little more interesting in all this egg head crap sooner he could have caught the pokemon himself but there wasn't much worth in it to him aside being odd and probably rare. "I guess it wants us to get that.. oh but more importantly I think its a magnetic signal that causes this device to not work up here!" About to step forward wondering somewhat why they hadn't just had a look at this more carefully to begin with they got all excited and stepped in her way pointing at the other funny looking rocks on the ground noting that they could be important to the research. This explained why they hadn't just gone any further than this. She'd have sent Spearow to get the package but it looked a little heavy somehow.. But then it was worth a try. "Come out spearow and help us get this bag down!" Spearow not really sure what to do would flap its wings and make its way to the top of the cliff. Sakiko wasn't too sure if anything good would come of it but spearow seemed like a clever type based off their meeting, maybe it would be able to come up with a trick to get the stuff down.
Spearow reached the top not really wanting to try and lift something bigger than itself. While there some natu's appeared seeming to talk to it. After some random dancing around they would all seem to help spearow push the bag off a cliff down onto another odd looking rock but this one wasn't a pokemon.. this one sunk somewhat into the ground and there was a sliding noise somewhere below. A scientist in on of the ruin corridors could be heard yelling to those upstairs about a new pathway opening! The two pokescientists looked at each other than at the bag and the nosepass about to stomp all over the objects on the ground suddenly telling yukie and Sakiko to wait there while they went to safely retrieve the bag also noting that they'd have to have them go while the next phase of explorations and observation came underway. They would look rather silly playing a sort of hopscotch race against time to stop the nosepass so they could hand bag to it.
"Spearow... good job!" she tried sounding enthusiastic and giving a big thumbs up but she couldn't quite get the sort of *sparkle sparkle* yukie had...
emotion_sweatdrop spearow tilted its head and just came back to get into its pokeball.
Holding up another pokeball she offered again for nosepass to come with them. "I'm not sure what you're doing here but I feel like we can be great partners!" It nodded and simply joined entering the pokeball. Sakiko was glad to know that even in the wild there were some simple pokemon captures like that one. Looking back at her pokepad she typed in some stuff and pointed it at where nosepass had been trying to get porygon to see if it could figure out what happened. Porygon gave Sakiko a database entry and some news stories about nosepasses getting lost and sitting in a single spot for years waiting for the weather to create a good chance to move about again.
Checking inside the bag she found a human sized hat, bottlecaps, and some marbles as well as a strange map... a zoning map??? One of the eggheads took a moment to point out this was the sort of thing city workers use noting that the ruins of alph and something near goldenrod city was circled. The other would tell them that the lift was ready to take them back down!
"Yukie, it looks like we've got some sort of treasure to find near here or goldenrod after our next stop.. interested?" Sakiko stepped onto the elevator wondering how she was going to keep this pace up if a pokemon training journey was this exciting.. or maybe it was just a matter of how she looked at it. Whatever the case she'd also need to stop by the local pokepolice station or at least ask nosepass about the hat.

He could only assume the Natu and Xatu had attempted to steal it, that or his trouble making Smeargle might have gotten around more then to just cause mischief on the Egg heads. It wasn't worth it to question though. The Nosepass was within Sakiko's command, no big loss there. His personal curiosity was peaked at the bags contents. What was a persons hat and the odd paper work doing in there. the marble he could understand. Pokemon often times toke humans things but they weren't normally things that were exclusive to humans. Maybe the Nosepass had once belonged to someone else and its trainer was dead and that was what the pokemon toke to remember them by. Yukie gave a soft smile at the idea of a weak trainer passing out in the woods someplace. It was his more cruel side showing through. "Why not, not like iv got anything better to do."

They could probably do more after the pokescientists figured out what that noise was, Sakiko put returning here on her list of things to do. A bit upset with how they had to send her off they gave her a sample of the material from the cliff they'd already studied. It was just some dust in a baggy but still it was a legitimate collectable.
[Sakiko receives mysterious ruins dust. Perhaps a pokemon with strong senses can use this for something.] "Looks like were off to Azalea town?" Sakiko straightened her glasses with excitement.. as unexciting a gesture this was. Nothing quite like getting an extra rock pokemon to help catch a water type. But the pokedex entry did say that Nosepass had some magnetism based abilities.. Sakiko was very interested in this. Maybe she could teach it to detect something for lab work or at least help find things. She'd have to find a lab to study this in first though.. or did trainers have some.. what would you call it? Old fashioned methods for experimenting with it? There was always battle techniques, no different from using play as a teaching tool just like in schools or at home. At least in normal homes, the closest Sakiko got to play earlyon was deciding what pattern she'd sweep the dust of the pokemon graves in that day which wasn't quite as boring as it might have sounded when said out loud due to the added factor that changing the pattern up would confuse and intrigue the newer ghosts or give her a chance to avoid some of the pranks of the older more settled in ones.
