OOC: Set a few days before this RP
Sunlight filtered through the tree she relaxed under. Though the weather here was cooler than most places, Shetani found she still enjoyed being in the shade. She was experiencing a rare sensation here in the Myrsky Syntynyt lands, something she hadn't felt since she was a juvenile. She felt... Safe. She didn't have the feeling of being smothered by ample family all around. Granted, she DID have family here... Very little of it. A few sons and daughters... Grandcubs from one of her sons... An adopted daughter... It was, in all... Comforting. Which, speaking of... She lifted her head, smiling with her greying and whitening muzzle. "Good morning, Susu! What brings you to my resting spot? If you seek one of the cubs, they're not here."
The pale lioness had been having... Dreams, as of late. They were confusing, showing things happening here and now, and things that had happened before, all at the same time. She woke up from the former exhausted. As she sat down by the brown lioness, she closed her eyes and let out a long sigh. "I seek no cubs at the moment... Only..." She sank down, laying her head on her paws. "Rest..." She let out a sigh, closing her eyes. "I just want the dreams to stop for a while..."
Her ears flicked back as she shifted, crossing her paws one over the other. "Do you ever look tired, Susu..." The older lioness leaned over, grooming the younger one's ears, then settled back where she lay. "Visions, I'm guessing..." She looked to a distant horizon, smiling just a bit. "You know, back in the Pridelands, not much thought was given to seers. They were never relied on, and while a slight curiosity, never given any special treatment. They were just another lion in the pride. Here... You ARE something special..." Not that that was what she was complaining about, though. "Tell me about your dreams? Talking about them might help them go away long enough for you to sleep properly..."
Susu rolled over onto her side, eyes still closed. "Yes, visions... Past and present... And all jumbled together. There's two cubs, one black and one white, with opposite hair colors and purple eyes... I know one is Munyu... I'm not sure who the other is..." Munyu's twin, the cub she hadn't brought back to the pride with her and claimed as her own. "And there's a huge lion, bigger than any I've seen... He's got the same black hair and purple eyes as Munyu, but his coat..." She lifted a paw, opening her eyes. "It looks like the sea. And he's angry... Always angry." She sighed, then rolled to her back, covering her face with her paws.
"Hm..." Shetani considered the younger lioness' words, rolling them over in her head for a bit. "I'm no expert in visions... I'm no seer... But I suspect this may have to do with, potentially, Munyu's father." She paused, then leaned over. "And possibly his twin." When the other lioness gave her a surprised look, Shetani leaned back again. "I am old, but not a fool. I have had many hardships, but none have robbed me of my memories... There are plenty of twins in the Pridelands. My father had an aunt and uncle that were twins, and I've had many cousins who are twins. There are many varieties OF twins... So... What happened to Munyu's twin?"
She pulled slightly on her face, then let out a frustrated and exasperated growl. "Munyu's not my son! Not by birth..." The look Shetani was giving her... If looks could KILL... Well, she'd see Mkodi many times. "My visions led me to where two cubs were, twins... One black, the other white... I'd been craving having a seer cub, and my instincts told me that these were seers. But I could only take one... So I took Munyu, because he looks the most like me, and left the other for their birth mother to find. Yu questioned where I got a cub from, I told him I'd found the cub, lost and alone..." She sighed. "I don't know who their father is... But this lion the color of the sea... I think he may be it."
The brown lioness let out a slight huff. "You stole a cub from a mother... And then lied about it... Well... Do you know what became of his twin?" He wasn't dead, was he? Or she. It could easily be a girl, as there'd been no mention of gender yet. "Perhaps your visions are guilt. You did something wrong, lied about it, and now your concious is coming back to get you." That didn't fully explain the green lion, though. What could that possibly mean? "You may want to discuss it with your son. He DOES have a right to know that you are not his mother by birth... And that he had a sibling that may or may not be dead, as well as his father being somewhere out there." Any cub needed to know the truth, no matter how old. Yu knew that he had younger siblings sired by his half-uncle, and of course her last litter sired by a great black lion. She... Really had a thing about black lions...
Susu uncovered her face, blinking, then frowned. "Telling Munyu will be hard... I DO love him... As if he were my own child by birth. I would hate to lose him..." The thought made her feel sick to her stomach. She let out a sigh. "But... You are right. It should be done. I've put it off this long, and with his own cubs at paw... It's time I did it." She rolled over, sitting up. "But what do I say? Where do I begin?" She was so unsure. "What if he hates me for it?"
Shetani let out a laugh. "So many worries! You'll never know until you go talk to him. Just show him your heart, and that you do love him. I see it when you look at him, that pride in the eyes only a mother has for a strong, healthy son. He knows you love him, and you only seek the best intentions. Now go on, while you still have time!" Time until what, she didn't know.
The pale lioness nodded, then got up, bumping her forehead to Shetani's. "Thank you for this talk. It helped." As she walked off, she wondered how she would broach the subject. And was Shetani right? Would Munyu still understand that she loved him? Her visions had not told her of the future, only the past, and the present this time. She didn't know ahead of time how it would go, so she hoped... She could only hope.
