He had to admit it to himself... He liked prides where he could saunter on in as he was, no disguises. As Xavier walked, he contemplated what this pride had to be like... And what had pulled him here. This pride... Part of it appealed to him, even if it DID seem a bit... Chilly. Which he found interesting and odd, since this was Africa. The chill he could do without. But it was his fascination with this fierce pride that had him stepping into their lands regardless of what the weather felt like, and as he walked... He spied a local, and by the way she was looking at him, she liked the fact she'd spied a god.
Indeed, Susu was pleased. There was no denying what she spied before her. The ears gave it away, as did the tail. The color... Wait, that color... She'd seen that color. As she got closer, she saw his eyes... And her stomach felt like it had dropped. Only two words came to her mind - 'Oh s**t.' She eyed him now, almost... Wary. Which was very unlike Susu. "You are a god. This fact pleases me... But it worries me. What are you the god OF, immortal one?" The last god she'd knowingly interacted with had been the God of Thunder. And indeed, their children had been like thunder on the land. Well... Most of them. One was more of a soft rumble, but no less dangerous.
Was that worry he spied? He lifted his head, then stepped right up to her. He had no fear of this lioness, or any mortal. It was only other immortals he had any sense of dread about. "I am Xavier, God of the Cursed." He began to circle her, noting the marks on her back. A part of him felt a sense of revulsion when he spied the dead rabbit wrapped around her neck, his mind going to Yutu. Over many lifetimes, the hare was his constant companion. He found he had an... Attachment to the creatures. He no longer partook in eating them, having forgotten when he'd stopped. "And just 'o is asking and why?"
"Forgive me, my lord... I am Susu, a priestess here in the Myrsky Syntynyt. I have a keen interest in gods, as I am a seer..." The look on his face was confidence boosting when she mentioned that tidbit. "I have observed that cubs born from the union of mortals and gods are seers... Without fail. So I seek to have only seers... And thus my INTERESTS are only with gods." She then hesitated, ears folding back. "And there is... One other thing... I found a cub, some time ago, raised him as my own... White, black mane and tail... The same purple eyes as you have. He's recently given me grandcubs, and..." She motioned. "Some of them are the same green as you are."
Now she really had his attention. Xavier was definitely one to sow wild oats everywhere, as the phrase was. The idea that he had a child here... Perhaps that was what had drawn him here. He'd have to ask Yutu later. Of course, this also brought something ELSE up... Grandcubs. "Are you telling me this because you expect me to drop by to see them?" He had to confess... He WAS curious about his potential grandchildren. If any of them were anything like he was... Oh, the poor pride. They'd be in for a pawful with those ones. "I am also curious as to what use you would want of me... As a god." Again with the sowing wild oats... Of course, in this case, like with his three sons with Abla, he'd be fully aware that they existed and where they were.
The fact he wasn't angry was a massive relief to her. He was also curious... And that was amusing to her. "I tell you this because I figured you might want to know. As for what I want of YOU, immortal one..." She flicked her tail, smiling. "I think you know." She took a seat, reaching up and petting her dead rabbit's head. "Seer cubs, of course. They would be Munyu's brothers and sisters... In the truest sense of the term, too."
His long ears flicked as he watched and listened, then the god took a seat himself, leaning down to be eye level with the lioness. "There will be a price." At the skeptical look she gave him, he waved a paw. "I will not curse you or the cubs. But they will not bear the colors you expect based on your family." He leaned back, touching a paw to his chin in thought. "Hm... But what colors...?" Colorful really wouldn't do, would it? Finally, he smiled. "Browns."
The Priestess blinked, a bit... Surprised. "Browns..." This brought to mind one of her brothers. He was certainly a sight to behold, looking tribal and all, and now she was imagining his coat in shades of brown. Of course, earthy colors weren't her... Thing. She let out a huff, ears folding back. "I don't much like browns, but... Alright." If that was the ONLY requirement, she'd take it! She paused, giving him a critical look. "No extra eyes, right?" She didn't want cubs with extra eyes. It'd be weird. Very weird.
Xavier's eyebrows went up before he grinned. "Oh, that IS a tantalizing thought!" He leaned in close, causing the lioness to back up slightly, his maw still wide with a toothy grin. "Extra eyes IS a thought!" Then he frowned. "But, extra eyes is not something I can do, so..." He reached up and poked her on the nose. "They will all 'ave an eye marking on them somewhere, and they will look like, oh... Any style, nothing specific." The idea actually amused him, that a cub no longer truly related would have the Eye of Ra on them. If Athrun were present, he'd smack Xavier on the head for it.
Susu cringed. Oh, gods, eye markings... Even she was bothered by that. "Oh, please not that... Is there anything you'd want for them to NOT have eye markings?" The thought of eye marks on cubs... On ANY animal, really. Animals, she believed, had a limit of two eyes, unless they were a spider. No more, and not even as markings. It was like they'd always be WATCHING.
The god sat back, one paw lifting off the ground as he let out a barking laugh, before he grinned at her. "No. They will be browns... And each will 'ave a random eye marking... And there is nothing you can do." He then stood and motioned with a paw. "Now... Kindly show me the pride, please."
While she was still cringing, the lioness could only oblige the god. What if he cursed her in anger, after all? Granted, some gods could be petty, but she didn't want to get on the bad side of one. She stood up and began to walk, showing him the lands she called home.
