Start Date: February 1st, 2015 End Date: February 15th, 2015 Welcome to Magesc's 2015 rehoming event! We have five characters in need of loving homes, all up for grabs, so take a look around, tease your muse, and get busy - we hope to welcome five new characters to the Magesc family by the event's close. Show us what you've got! Note: The ord boy, dovaa boy and obliv boy are all by Yorugami. This artist is no longer with Magesc. So, when you grow your character, you'll need to pick a new artist. The dovaa girl is by SnowQuilll, another artist that is, sadly, no longer part of magesc. The same applies to her when you grow her. Remanoir, who is very much still with the shop, is the artist for the ord girl.

Has this been an ongoing attempted wooing or is it out of the blue? Are the feelings mutual or vastly polarized? Do things go well, or end in hurt feelings, or something else altogether? ]] Character's Name: [[ Zoldri ]] Prompt Response: The ruby eyed child sat on the rock overlooking the play area. He was here with his Father and elder sister. The task before him was simple, find someone to gift the flower he currently held. The child rolled his eyes. This was ridiculous. His Father grew the flowers in their homestead's garden. He and his sister spent many afternoons picking flowers to help sell to others. He honestly wasn't a big fan of selling flowers, but he did love a healthy garden. The child stood up and looked over at the other Orderite children. Oh...no...there she was. Litleela, a female Orderite child who lived in his neck of the woods. Zoldri looked around quickly for a escape, seeing none he groaned as the little girl giggled tugging at his sleeve.
“Zoldri! How are you?” the blond ringlet girl squealed.
“Could use a new set of ears.” Zoldri muttered darkly. He looked over his fellow Orderite, the little girl was a few inches shorter than him. Her hair hung in golden ringlets with matching golden fluffy wings. She usually wore large bows and frills. Her voice was high pitched, usually giggling and often whiny. He had grown up with her as a...forced companion. They were the same age, his Father knew her Father. Zoldri really had no choice in the matter, neither did his elder sister. He glanced over to see her politely decline Litleela's elder brother's advance. He smirked before looking back to the small girl as she tugged a little too sharp on his sleeve. His ruby eyes were blank as he turned his gaze back to her.
Litleela giggled, “Silly.” she spooted the flower in his hand, “Oh! Zoldri is that for me?!?”
Zoldri's eyes went wide, “N-N-NO! This is for someone else! Someone I actually like!” he sputtered out.
Litleela blinked, “What?”
The ruby eyed boy narrowed those gem colored orbs at her, “I. Don't. Like. You. Your annoying. Irritating. Whiny. Bossy and above all. Not my type.”
The small Orderite boy didn't smirk until the poor little girl ran off sniffling under his heated stare. When he did smirk the child let out a yelp as his elder sister smacked his head.
“What?!?” he yelped.
His sister glared down at him, “Be nice.”
He rolled his eyes before the two went back to their Father as the male called. Zoldri tucked the flower into a vial then away into his side bag. As the two siblings rejoined their Father the male glared Zoldri down.
“Zol...what did you say to Little Leeta?” the male's soft tenor voice made Zoldri look anywhere but at his soft hearted Father.
“I don't want give my flower to her. You said these flowers you grew for this day were to be given to someone you like. I don't like her.” he whined.
The Elder Orderite blinked before smiling warmly, “I did, but you young man were mean to a poor little girl who doesn't understand.”
Zoldri sighed, “I have to apologize...don't I?”
His Father nodded, “Yes you do...march it.” the male then pointed to where the little girl was sniffling being held by her Mother. Zoldri really didn't want to, but he felt his Father's hand on his back. With a groan he started walking towards her. When they got close, Zoldri sighed...
“Litleela, I'm sorry. I know it was mean of me to say those things and if I thought about it, I wouldn't of said them because I didn't want to hurt you.” the child said honestly.
Litleela blinked then nodded softly, “O-okay...”
With that the child looked up at his Father who smiled. All was now mended, but as Zoldri looked back he saw that same old smile on Litleela's face. He knew them that she would never ever be able to escape her nonsense affection for him. What the heck was he going to do?!?

Prompt FS Username: Robotic RedCape Which child: Ord boy Which prompt: Prompt 1: "I’d do it for you if you asked me, so why won’t you do it for me?" Character's Name: Vander Prompt Response:
The moment that line left his partner's lips Vander had felt his skin crawl. Swallowing down the lump in his throat that rose like a large frog sitting there mocking him, and it felt like the only noise he could make would be a croak.
"How could you ask that of me? I- I don't even know what to say to you right now." The look of absolute hurt on Vander's face must have struck a chord with his partner because the realization of what they had just asked him seemed to bring everything crashing down around them. No one won in a situation like this. It was hurt on both ends, hurt, fear and in Vander's case a sick stomach.
"You're the one person who I thought would never ask more of me than I wanted to give. I trusted you to understand me and respect me but here you are trying to push me into this!" Next to tears Vander had snatched his jacket up off the back of the chair and wrested it on over his arms making him more uncomfortable but now seemingly in his own clothing. It reflected the situation well enough as he didn't wait for his partner to counter or offer an explanation, after all that wasn't what this was about. This was about understanding and respecting personal choice and boundaries, about trust being ruined and a bond splintered in two.
"It's over, I'm sorry but I can't be with someone who- who would ask what you just did of me knowing full well how I feel!" The slamming of the front door as Vander left would punctuate his anger and bring a close to both the relationship he had been in and that chapter of his life.

So nervous. This is my first entry here. <3
Prompt FS Username: Thaliawen Which child: Ord Boy Which prompt: Prompt three Character's Name: Natvii Prompt Response:
One of the apprentices Natvii had been spending time with had found her belongings strewn out of her satchel, scattered among the leafy floor of the forest. Pages had been torn from her tablet, the bread she'd had stored away had become crumbled and dry. She had immediately targeted him. He, being the one closest to the mess, was the most likely to have committed the crime.
"What was that for?" she demanded, taking a step towards him. He was looking in the opposite direction; Natvii hadn't seen what had happened. He whirled around, blinking at her in confusion.
"What was what--?" he began, hesitating when he saw the disaster before him. He held up his hands in a gesture of peace. "I didn't do that," he defended himself. He kept cool, he knew getting upset would only make him appear guilty. "I saw movement that way," he nodded in the direction he'd previously been looking. "I thought it might have been a--"
"Thought it was what? A nosy apprentice? I'd have to agree with you! Now explain, and as soon as we get back, you're replacing everything you ruined!" It was clear to Natvii then that she would not listen to reason. He had to try, though. He hadn't done this. He needed to clear his name, at least attempt to prove his innocence.
"Zini, listen!" Natvii protested, raising his hands, again, in surrender. "I thought it was a silx! It was long, and you know how they are. They steal things. It might have gotten into your bag. You did set it down. And they're fast, I saw something run past, and if you hadn't distracted me, maybe I would have seen what it was!"
She didn't seem convinced. Instead of looking to wear he'd gestured, she crossed her arms. "Very clever. A silx would get into a bag, if it had the chance. A perfect cover story. Truly. I applaud your effort." She might have gone on, but was interrupted as Natvii knelt down and opened her satchel.
"Caught in the act, this time!"
"No, listen. If a silx was in your bag, it stands to reason that it probably didn't just dig through your things," he explained. "It probably took something. And if it did, you can check my pockets all you like. I'm telling you, I didn't do it. The silx did!" He hesitated, and offered her the bag. "Maybe you should check," he said. "Silxs are attracted to shiny things, at least I heard that. I've never seen one before this, actually, so I can't be absolutely certain it was a silx." He was becoming frustrated; his shoulders were tense, the hand gripping the satchel had tightened. His knuckles showed white under his skin, and when he stood back up, he released the bag into her outstretched arms.
Why didn't she believe him? There was nothing to be gained from raiding her bag. And he'd seen the silx, or at least, he thought that was what the creature had been. He didn't want to become angry, then she would really think he was guilty, especially since he couldn't seem able to prove his innocence. "Is anything missing?" he asked, watching the girl dig through the contents of the satchel. "Besides what's on the ground."
"No," she said. "Silxs are mischievous, though, aren't they? I suppose that it could have been one..." She studied him, pausing, "But if I find you were the one who did this--" she began, setting the bag down and moving to collect her notebook and the things that could be saved. "I'll make you regret it." She stashed her belongings back into the satchel, pausing to look up at Natvii. "You know, I wanted to believe you were innocent," she said, "Even though you were the only one near. I didn't want to believe it was you."
Natvii wasn't sure he believed that. If it were true, he thought she would have listened to him the first time he had mentioned the silx. "Listen, let's get home," he said. "It's getting late, and there's nothing to be found here. We'll talk more about the silx situation later. Maybe over dinner." Being accused of something he hadn't done, and defending himself, had made him hungry! He offered her his hand, flashing her a small smile. In the end, he was glad she had decided to believe him.

-[What am I called?]- Peoli
-[What will I be?]- Civilian (Craftsman → Glassblower)
-[Who am I?]-
Cultured - There are a lot of finer things in life, and Peoli appreciates them all. She is a fan of stories of all sorts, written and verbal, as well as numerous styles and types of art. She also adores any sort of jewelry, fine clothing, and perfume. But her refinement isn’t just in regard to things that she enjoys or likes: this Orderite is quite sophisticated in her temperament as well. Peoli is no stranger to politeness or etiquette, and takes personal pride in conducting herself in such a way. She also does her best to be as eloquent and diplomatic as possible, as she feels it’s important for people to see her in the best way.
Supportive - If you need someone to give you advice or to just simply be there for you, Peoli is your girl. She loves to provide encouragement to others, should the need for it arise. Even if she might not particularly agree or want the same thing as the person, she will do her best to support them, if it is truly what they want. It’s crucial, in her mind, to be there for as many individuals as she can. She doesn’t do this for hope of reward or glory, but simply due to the fact that it gives her great joy to do so. Being unsupportive or cooperative of someone, she knows, can be one of the most damaging things; she wants to avoid that at all cost.
Empathetic - Aside from being someone you can count on, Peoli is also very understanding. If a person is going through a rough time or some difficulties, she is very aware of the feelings of that person. She might not have faced the challenges that they are going through, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t try. She does her best to see things from the perspective of others, so as to best understand how they feeling. This Orderite is also blessed, her family says, by being able to read the emotions of others well. This comes in handy, in particular, if people don’t want to talk verbally. She can watch their body language or their facial expressions and can get a glimpse as to how they are feeling pretty well.
Naive – Despite priding herself in being refined, Peoli is a bit inexperienced when it comes to the real world. Due to growing up in a sheltered household, she hasn’t had the chance to experience much of the world. Most things at her home, be it cooking or even something as simple as having help getting dressed, were done with the help of household staff. This is how things always have been, and in her mind, this is how it will always be. It’s not that she is unaware that things could change or differ. She just simply believes that it won’t, and that she will continue living on in the lifestyle she is accustomed to.
Blunt - Honesty is the best policy as far as Peoli is concerned. The Orderite girl isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, even if it means it hurts someone’s feelings. This isn’t out of spite or malice – she doesn’t act this way to be mean, intentionally. She just feels that it is important to be honest and forthright when it comes to how she feels or thinks. It doesn’t do well to patronize people, simply to make them feel better. She wouldn’t want people to act this way toward her, so she doesn’t act in such a way toward them.
Meticulous - Details, details, details. Such things are of the utmost importance to Peoli. She is very fussy about certain things: cleanliness, in particular. Don’t expect to find a disaster of a room from this Orderite, or a disheveled appearance. All of her belongings are well taken care of and everything seems to have its proper place. This also extends to Peoli’s physical appearance as well. The girl takes much care to make sure she is clean and well put-together. She wants to look her best for others, and being grimy or dirty is definitely going to prevent that. Aside from cleanliness, her fastidious nature is applied toward other things as well: namely, her satisfaction toward something. If a project or a task has not been completed to her satisfaction or standards, she will often keep at it until it is. She has also been known to re-do things entirely. Such behavior isn’t expected toward other individuals – it’s just something that she holds herself to, personally. -[Where have I come from?]- Like the majority of Orderites, Peoli calls Ashen City her home. Her father, Adrax, was the son of a wealthy Orderite noble. During his formative years, he made his way as a warrior, and had a lot of daring and dangerous adventures. It was on these adventures that Adrax would go on to meet the woman who would become his wife, Nielah, an Orderite mage. As fate would have it, Nielah was also from a prominent Orderite family back in the city. With the two of them getting on in years, both Adrax and Nielah decided it was time to finally put their adventuring days to an end. They had a good run together, but it was time to settle down and start a family of their own. Both of their families, pleased by the fortuitous match, happily agreed, and then the two were married.
Adrax and Nielah were able to set up an extremely comfortable life for not just themselves, but for their eventual family as well. Since they both came from nobility, money wasn’t really a concern for either of them. The happy couple just took it upon themselves to make sure they had the best home possible for any children that they might have. As easy as their courtship and marriage had been, starting a family seemed to be a different game, entirely. The couple tried for years, but they were unable to successfully conceive a baby. The pair was just about to give up hope, when Nielah received some surprising news: she was going to have a baby, after all!
Peoli was born on a fall morning, and her parents couldn’t have been more thrilled. Yet, as much as they wanted to have more children, Adrax and Nielah decided to stop trying to have more, upon the birth of their daughter. It had been a trying time, and since they had been blessed with a newborn baby girl, they came to the decision that she was more than enough. Their highest priority was then making sure that Peoli was well taken care of.
Growing up, Peoli was fortunate to want for nothing. She had basically everything a child could ask for: loving parents, a beautiful home (as well as a summer home in the Valley of Andrah), private tutors, and a plethora of staff to make sure she was taken care of. As one could imagine, the young girl flourished in this environment, with a particular fondness for etiquette and the finer things that life had to offer.
The young Orderite’s formal apprenticeship is fast approaching. As her father and mother before her, Peoli fully expects to follow their example and take up a career suitable for someone of her standing. Her hopes would be to go on and be a diplomat or a dignitary or some sort, though whether that will happen yet or not remains to be seen.
-[What will I do]- Unknown to Peoli, currently, her life is about to be turned upside down. While she has been going about her studies and the other general aspects of her life, a lot of things have been going on behind the scenes: predominately in regard to her parents, and her father in particular.
A few years after his daughter was born, Adrax, unfortunately, developed a major gambling addiction. Whether this was a result of boredom from having settled down and missing adventuring, a way to cope or escape, or simply something that got too far out of hand is unclear, but the truth is that it happened. All the money that he had for his family is now gone. Adrax and Nielah have done well to hide this fact from Peoli so far, but they will be no longer able to any longer. The family is going to be forced to sell their homes, let their staff go, and find a different (and more affordable) home for themselves.
This, of course, is going to flabbergast Peoli. The once comfortable lifestyle that she was used to is now suddenly gone. The home she had grown up in is no longer hers to call home, and they have to up and move. But not only that, any sort of affluent job prospects that she hoped to have are now out the window. It’s not practical, in the eyes of her mother and father, for her to aim to be a diplomat any longer. The young Orderite will now be faced with the task on picking an actual trade that she can learn in order to sustain herself as she grows: she decides on becoming a craftsman – a glassblower, in particular.
Becoming a glassblower isn’t going to be an easy task for Peoli. She will have to learn the craft starting from the very basics. Once she starts learning, however, she will come to enjoy and love her newfound profession. The change in status and suddenly having to take up a trade are going to be some of the hardest things for her to grow accustomed to. Her relationship with her father will also probably become strained as well. Her mom will probably separate from him, and Peoli will go live with her as a result. She'll have to deal with living with only one parent, and going to visit her father over weekends or short periods of time, rather than living with both parents together.
The naivety she had for life, I imagine, will also change as she grows up as well. She will go from having a very sheltered existence, to having to find and make a place for herself in the world (rather than it just being basically handed to her, as she thought it would be). The naivety will probably change into a hard-learned frugality, as well as a distrust of vices such as gambling and other addictions.
As far as other events go for her: I want her to become close to her glassblowing teachers/instructors. It'd be good for her to have a mentor in her craft. I’d also love to see her join either the Vendor’s Association or the College of Aptitude. I also envision her, in her later stages, opening up her very own studio/shop where she can make her wares in the back, and then sell them in the front (perhaps with her own home in the space above). It will be a hard, but honest living, and I feel that it is something that would benefit her! I’d also love for her to start a family of her own, be it with another individual or just adopting a child of her own.
I also plan on having her complete her Companion Quest once she reaches the Master stage! I’m thinking it will be a [Black Cockatoo], as it represents creativity, inner fire, spiritual & emotional freedom, inner beauty, and joy! You can read more about their symbolism [here]!

Prompt FS Username: [[ Duke Edward Drake]] Which child: [[ Ord boy ]] Which prompt: [[Prompt 2]] Character's Name: [[ Zixan]] Prompt Response: [[ Zixan waited patiently for the girl he had seen five days ago to appear at the square again. Her presence attracted his eyes like magic. She seemed different, new and interesting, her clothes seemed to have been altered by her herself, not fitting the norm. Slices were cut away above her shoulders and small knots had been tied in the conncecting fabric. He was most curious about her creative mind and wished greatly to speak with her. After days of waiting and intermittant checks on the area he had seen her in, she had finally appeared again. Now was his chance to speak with her.
Zixan floated on steady feet over to her, every movement graceful, that was until he stepped on that unfortunately sharp stone. It twisted his foot awkwardly and he flailed his arms and wings, the ground hard and unyielding was not going to be a forgiving punishment for his lack of grace.
But before his face could meet its earthly fate a hand shot out and steadied him, halting his descent, he was surprised at the speed and strength. He looked up into the black eyes of the girl he had wanted to talk to.
"I er, thank you, I am usually not that clumsy."
He swallowed hard, then stood up tall, "I wanted to talk with you anyway." Might as well make the best of the situation while he had her attention. The cofuc of those black eyes inspired a surge of hope within him.
"My name is Zixan." He bowed low before the other orderite. "I was wondering if you would walk with me, I would like to be a part of your future, not just your present, would you care to be a part of my horizon? To the west, to be sure, so that the sun would illuminate your individual beauty and not shadow its radiance."
The girl smiled and tilted her head slightly, she reached out a hand and placed it on his cheek. Her warmth soothed him, lulled him into a sort of haze, and despite his attempts to the contrary, he fell under the spell. Of course this had never happened to him before, and he had no will to resist it.
"You have a lovely turn of phrase and a fiery spirit which no doubt will serve you well. In another future, I wouldn't have hesitated to walk with you on your path." She withdrew her hand, "Sadly my own horizon is dark without your sun," she dipped her head, "My horizon has already been claimed by another and shot through with the silver of love. I am sorry, but I have chosen this path and I must walk it. My heart would not let me do otherwise." She kissed his forehead then held him back by his shoulders. "I hope you find your own love, it by far outshines all things except the sun itself."
