Amongst your crewmates, you stand gathered upon the cabin floor of a gently rocking ship, garbed in bandannas and stripes reminiscent of a kid's pirate costume. The S.S. Skittlord (a name which has caused much discomfort, and sometimes trauma) belongs to the organization called Team Aqua, and is the vessel of great plans to come.

Before you, Captain Marshtompton, (the culprit behind the horrible ship name,) paces back and forth while counting the people in the room. She is short and stocky and strong of both build and spirit; all respect her as a sailor. And a fisherwoman. And a cook. And also because of her blue hair, styled into a remarkably Marshtomp-like mohawk. It's quite the accomplishment.

"Good! I can see that all of you are aboard." She announces, overlooking the group. "As you know, we have been in troubled financial waters of latebecause-Team-Magma-sank-our-friggin-boat." Her dark muttering is accompanied by the indiscreet acquisition of a turnip off the nearest surface, which she then crushes between her fists. A feral gaze leaves her face, and she proceeds.

"But with my talents, filling our moneybuckets won't be a problem." She narrows her eyes. "That's right, MY talents. Who is it who always finds us the best fishing spots no matter the season? Who's running this operation, turning her boat into a beachside restaurant, AND serving as the restaurant's chef at the same time?" A few Aqua grunts lazily point at the cap'n. "That's right, ME! So all of you who have been deemed too dangerous in the kitchen are gonna go out there on the beach and reel in some customers! By whatever means possible except handing them money. Wear a costume, put on a performance, whatever works. Now, many of you may feel out of your depth... and that's why I've prepared you our most prized catch..." She pulls a cloth aside in one dramatic sweep, unveiling a large aquarium. Inside is a brilliantly shining Carvanha, a rarity among rarities. Some day, it will grow into a pretty purple Sharpedo. Ooohs, ahhs and gasps fill the room.

"Allow me to explain! You will all be given a stamp with a different number. Make sure you tell people that they will have a 10% discount if they get stamped. Whenever someone shows me theirs, I will know who played the bait! Whoever's number shows itself the most times today... the Carvanha is theirs! Even if it's you, prospective members of our Team. That's right, don't think I didn't sea you there." She winks at the unfamiliar faces in the room. "Well then.. dismissed!"

With that, everyone began to spill out of the ship.

RULES

*You can enter as a team aqua character [temporary, permanent or pre-existing] or as another character [temporary, permanent or pre-existing] who has somehow or other ended up amongst them. Perhaps they were ushered in for wearing a bandanna or a striped shirt at the beach, heard rumors of a shiny pokemon on that ship, or were lured in by the smell of food on the grill!

*This is how the game is played! You will make a total of Two Posts:

* First Post:Roll Three 20-sided Dice. Post this form to describe what each dice is for:

Rolling in the deep!
Dice 1:
Dice 2:
Dice 3:

Example First Post
Rolling in the deep!
Dice 1: Wearing a mascot costume and juggling
Dice 2: Running up and down the beach yelling out advertisement about the boat
Dice 3: Seduce people's pokemon with whisperings about food until their owners have no choice but to go to the restoboat

*You are allowed to choose the same action for more than one dice if you think your character would just try again even if they fail at first!

*Second Post: Taking the dice total from your first post, please use this form:

Busy as a Bibarel!
Total of your dice rolls (For each 1 that is rolled, +19 to the dice total):

And in that same post, write a minimum 250 word description of what happened, according to the dice roll for each action:
Dice Roll Results

1: You failed so badly that it somehow looped around and became a win thanks to the extremely large crowd that it has drawn. Yay for getting the word out! Not yay for the agony of your embarrassment!
2-5: Whatever you did, well uh... it backfired. I think nobody who saw that will want to go to the S.S. Skittlord, ever.
6-10: Nobody is impressed. You failed to draw any attention to the restaurant boat.
11-15: You managed to get a few people at least. Yay!
16-19: Hooray! You're really good at this and manage to get a LOT of people to the restaurant with your stamp on them!
20: XTREME SUCCESS.

*That's it for the rules! Have fun! OvO

After receiving instructions from the captain, Locke took out Shuca's pokeball, pressing the button to release the scarred vaporeon. "You heard her orders, right? We have to attract attention for the restaurant... for some reason." He made a disgruntled face behind his mask. "There are better ways to get money, and I don't really care about that shiny fish, but orders are orders I guess... So... Get going."

Shuca barked, wagging his finned tail in excitement. He scampered off toward the crowd of people and promptly began to show off all of his fanciest water attacks. He mimicked a water spout, tilting his head back and shooting a Water Gun into the air. He used Bubble and managed to catch a few people's attention as they drifted through the air. Children giggled and jumped, trying to pop the bubbles. As a crowd began to stop and watch him, Shuca decided that it was time for the big finish-- which was also his biggest mistake. He went for an Aqua Tail and, lacking the control of a true contest pokemon, promptly soaked everyone within a ten foot radius.

He'd hit a few pokemon with that attack, and they were not happy about it. They approached him, snarling, and he attempted to placate them. They were far too grumpy to make friends, however, and promptly chased Shuca all the way back to the ship.

Meanwhile, Locke was simply approaching people at random, brandishing his stamp and trying to convince them to eat at the restaurant. No one seemed too thrilled to be confronted by such a suspiciously dressed person, however. None stopped to listen to his full explanation, and he couldn't intimidate anyone into staying. Having failed, he returned to the ship to see that Shuca hadn't had any more luck.

"Well, at least we tried," he said with a half-hearted shrug. "I wish they'd give us a real mission."

Jorge wandered off the boat, clutching her big hand-drawn sign to her chest. She was new to Team Aqua, and this was her first time receiving instructions from the captain. She didn't possess any dancing or singing skills, so she had decided to go about it the old fashioned way. She had spent a good deal of time creating a masterpiece of a sign to help advertise the restaurant. It was beautiful and sparkly and almost as big as she was. She struggled to hold it against her body as she looked for the perfect spot to stand and wave it at. Hmm where to - ah, there! Jorge started to waddle over to a little hill in the sand, when the wind picked up. The sign flopped about in her loose grip, and she let out a cry as it was ripped from her grasp and sailed into the air.

"Ah no, no, no, no," she chanted, following it's trail with her eyes while running. "SOMEONE GRAB MY SIGN! A-AND VISIT THIS RESTAURANT!"

With her eyes on the sign in the sky, she didn't notice a hole in the sand. Her shoe caught and sent her face-first into the ground with a loud OOMPH. Her sign drifted down to land on the back of her head.

"Owww," Jorge groaned as she lay there in the sand. Her loud and comedic failure had brought about a lot of attention, and the crowd around her read the sign that had flopped over her. Amazingly, she was stamping hands like crazy after she managed to push herself back onto her feet. Her head sure hurt, but it was worth it!

A little while later after icing the bump on her head, Jorge decided to take a safer, sneakier approach. Adapting an accent, she took on the persona of a famous food critic and nonchalantly name-dropped the restaurant at the local beach establishments, and didn't stop raving about the fine cuisine and wondrous atmosphere.

"Ah yes, the most tantalizing salmon dish I've had in years hon hon hon,"

Those that fell for her ruse were eager to receive a 10% discount to such a wonderful restaurant, and Jorge stamped as many hands as she could. When she was done, she let out a breath of relief. She'd been at this for a while. Surely she had done her duty? Rubbing the back of her head, she started back towards the ship.

Cotton wasn't really sure why she was trying to get people to go to the ship as she is absolutely terrified of fish Pokemon and wants nothing to do with the prize. The only thing stopping her from running away completely is her fear of upsetting the captain of the ship. Or her fear of upsetting people in general. So rather than run the risk of disappointing the strange captain, Cotton walked around the beach in attempt to get people to accept her stamp.

"E-e-excuse me..." She would attempt to talk to the people on the beach, her voice barely higher than the sounds of the waves. Most of the people didn't see or hear the short timid girl and went along the business. A couple of people took pity on the girl and strained their ears to listen to what the girl was saying, though most of people who tried still weren't able to make out her voice.

Discouraged by the lack of turn up, Cotton resorts to randomly putting her stamp on the foreheads of Pokemon she sees on the beach. She gets a couple in before people started to look at her weird... at least the people who were curious about the strange mark that suddenly appeared on their Pokemon to visit the ship. The captain didn't say the stamp needs to be on a card right?

Terribly shy and too tired to be the center of attention again, Cotton starts to draw arrows in the sand leading to the ship. Unfortunately, a herd of geodudes came by and erased all her hard work. :C

Just playing for fun, haha. No prize for me. n vn

Kane and people did not mix. So lo and behold, he was forced from his precious computer to what he described as a "ramshackle... mumble... mumble... thing" just to curry favor with the higher-ups. He thinned his lips when he was chucked from the restoship to the exterior to try and beckon customers inside. Unfortunately, he was at a loss of what to do, so he stood awkwardly off to the side rubbing his arm and glancing about with his only visible eye sliding left and right.

As he tried to figure out a way to lure in the gullible, Kane clutched his chin between forefinger and thumb and thought. Suddenly, something sparked in his mind and his attention snapped over to the cart of equipment he had brought with him (the computer whiz doesn't go anywhere without his precious essentials with him). After uncurling cables, setting up projectors, and sticking plugs in whatever outlets were available, Kane's fingers galloped as quickly as a rampaging Rapidash as he typed up up a program sequence on his laptop. Then, smiling with confidence, he stabbed his finger onto the Enter button.

Suddenly, a vast array of flickering lights and images were put on display in front of the ship. The hologram show garnered the interest of several beach-goers and many threaded nearer to get a look; some even heading into the ship to grab a bite.

"...yes...!" he quietly muttered to himself as his first planned worked out in his favor.

Unfortunately, his following plans didn't go so well. Encouraging his grumpy Sharpedo to also put on a water show along with the lights and sounds didn't work so well. A stray Water Pulse hit his equipment directly, short circuiting his hard work. With his show gone, customers did not flock to the ship as frequently as they were.

After an angry repulse at his Pokemon (which the Water/Dark-type angrily ignored), Kane found himself at square one again. With nothing left to turn to, Kane, to his chagrin, settled on the only thing he had in mind.

"K-kiss... Kiss... mumble... mumble... the pirate?" he called out quietly to anyone walking nearby. "J-just a stamp. A stamp... mumble... mumble... A stamp to go inside. But you have to-" He gulped. "K-kiss me? Mumble... mumble..."

Several women neared him, smiling flirtatiously at the free smooch they could nab, and as one leaned in on him (and he leaned back; eyes wide as a pearl of sweat forming near his temple), Murex caught sight of this and grinned maliciously. This would be a golden chance to exact revenge on his trainer for yelling at him. Just as she was about to slide lips to his, the Sharpedo torpedoed himself to the woman and clamped his teeth over her head. Suddenly, there was a muffled screech as the woman found herself throat-deep in the Pokemon.

Off she ran screaming, leaving a scatter of friends chasing after her and a bewildered Kane seated at the small booth he had set up.

Failure number two was his.

Aquamarine grumbled to herself as the ‘mission’ was laid out for the grunts. This was not the kind of task she wanted to do. She was not a sales representative she was a pirate and she wanted to pillage and steal and fight people not sell food. However the shiny carvhanga was very tempting so the aquamarine haired woman sighed and grabbed one of the numbered stamps as she headed out to get people to buy their food.

A battle was a surefire way to grab people attention. Releasing Calder and Vesirei the pirate had the two Pokémon engage each other in a mock battle. Although it was only for show, neither Pokémon held back as they clashed. The ferligator watched his opponent for a moment hissing. In one swift and expected movement Calder launched himself at the empoleon, slamming into the other with superpower. Vesirei winced as the other Pokémon clamped onto his arm and retailed with grass knot, summing blades of grass from under the sand and using it to toss the alligator away.

As expected the battle between the two water type Pokémon drew a crowd and Marina went to work, mingling with the spectators and telling them about the restaurant boat and the 10% off deal if they get her to stamp their card. Her ploy worked and she managed to attract some customers.

However she still needed to get more customers, after the battle had ended she recalled the two tired pokemon and people stopped coming over. The grunt thought that maybe it was time to try a slightly more aggressive tactic. Instead she tried to strongly persuade the beach goers to try out the food with a false cheeriness. Eventually she got tired of the act, and being dismissed or ignored and switched to not so veiled threats which caused the beach goers to go out of their way to avoid her.

The grunt was not to happy that her second attempt had failed, she was slightly tempted to just use her Pokémon to force people to buy the food but figure that it probably would not end well. Thus she tried to come up with another plan. She looked around the area as she thought of what to do, and noticed a shop that was selling Pokémon themed swimsuits. The shop gave her an idea and after a few minutes of debate the pirate decided to go with it and headed over to the shop.

Returning to the beach, the Aqua grunt was now wearing a swimsuit, the lower half had a skirt like cover up that was patterned like a Milotic’s tail; her hair was styled to look like the large head fins of the serpentine water Pokémon.

Setting herself up near the restaurant she called out to groups occasionally waving people over as she tried to advertise the restaurant. “Don’t forget, if you get your card stamped by me you’ll get 10% off your total!” She said in a sing-song voice, ending the line with a sweet giggle.
After she managed to entice a few more customers to the restaurant the grunt deiced that she had enough of this nonsense and was leaving, she wanted to get out of the stupid costume and get back onto the ocean. She wondered briefly if she could wrangle one of the other Aqua members into fencing with her latter.

Gepardo sat on the sand with look of utter damnation on his face and mildly wonder why he had bother wearing a striped shirt today. Nothing good ever happen when he wore stripes, Absolutely nothing. Today was just plain exhibit A on an ever growing list.

It had been bad enough that he had somehow gotten roped into a meeting-of-the-minds of some group who obviously needed help rethinking their career choices, but to find out they had a shiny carvanah at their disposal had soften his opinion of them after he snatched a stamp. Look, he been looking for a sharpedo for ages now, if he could snatch the damn thing for himself, then what harm could it be to have some people eat at random beach restaurant?

Perhaps the only harm was to his pride. He had let out Muerte and Putti and plain said 'Herd'. Of course, if either pokemon had known that command, then perhaps people wouldn't had run right pass him, screeching bloody murder when the houndooms came running after them, mouths full of fire and poison.

He quickly retrive both of his pokemon and gone to hide for a bit before attempting once again to gain access to people's hands...(or their foreheads, he really wasn't picky on where to put the stamp really). Standing near the restaurant, he had gently order Putti to transform into a lapras. After all, everyone loved lapras, right?

Apparently , not today. He hadn't taken into account the heat of the day, and Putti's near perfect white skin. The pokemon soon became sunburn, and rather then attracting patrons, he got lecture by the near a couple of rookie officers.

Fine, he wasn't any good at advertisement, so sue him. After gving the poor ditto a few painkillers and some salve, he recalled her back to her pokeball to rest and, quiet fed up, snatched some prop rope from the decorative restaurant. His first attemp at lassoing a person nearly ended with him hanging himself by accident. After trying to relearn the rules of physics, his second attempt met it's untimely end when he roped the steering of a tandem bike and made several people fall to the floor and gain some nasty road rash.

His third attempt was successful!....in roping a cop. In a series of disguises and few well placed newspapers, he had managed to lose the infuriated cop and now, he just set in the sand, looking for all the world ready to kill someone.
