• Personality :: For a long, consistent portion of his life, Kane had a desire to disappear. Not in the notion of taking his own life, but a want to run away from the monotony of his everyday existence while in Sootopolis City. Thus, even when amongst other Aquas, he gives off a very gloomy air that may as well be true. His face always seems to reflect a worrisome pain, as if he were Atlas shouldering the world's problems, and is reluctant to sit down with others and just let off some steam. Unfortunately, this is quite true of the male, but more along the lines that he sees himself as a boring, hopeless person who many may not find interesting. His interests don't spread far and, besides keeping himself glued to a computer screen, he knows very little about other fields other than making holograms.
However, when one does press him for his interests, Kane is like a firecracker with information. Dabbling in the tech branch of Team Aqua has caused him to become knowledgeable to the team's machines and server. Most of the day, his teal eyes are glued to a glowing screen in the dark as his fingers click and clack against a keyboard. Currently, he is trying to recreate the program and technology invented by one Dr. Yung to make Mirage Pokémon. He hasn't gotten very far in his work, however; he can reconstruct any Pokémon in their physical state with the limited technology of the team, but cannot have them physically travel on their own without employing the use of an exterior control device that hooks up to a person's head and four limbs to initiate movement. While he doesn't mind talking about his work, Kane is still a little ashamed of his inability to perfect his copied program, and usually says, "That's confidential," when pressed with questions passed what he has already done.
On the internet, Kane takes on a much more sardonic air that offsets his more passive, gloomy persona. He is also much more friendly because he finds it easier to communicate to others through a screen rather than face to face. Most of the time when he is at his work space, Kane isn't doing what he is supposed to be doing, and instead procrastinating by training his character on PokéMMO or chatting on forums. When someone does crack his shell beyond a virtual barrier, he's a whole other character. His internet persona leaks through and he becomes quite hammy; emphasizing his gestures and talking with grand tones to anything he says--especially when explaining something or one of his evil shenanigans excel; shamelessly prone to scary shiny glasses and a triumphant laugh of, "Nihihihi!" with the latter of the two.
Kane's attitude toward Team Aqua is debatable. At first, he joined with the notion of it providing more excitement in his life, but his thoughts slowly changed to swaying in favor of the crime syndicate's plans. His Sharpedo is one of his best friends and knowing he can only be in his company when by water that can contain him has become a thorn in his side. Thus, Kane has reasoned that if a large percentage of the world were drowned in water, he could spend all of his time with Murex. Of course, the disadvantage of this means he wouldn't be able to use his computer often, but technology has come far and Kane is positive there would be a waterproof computer invented some time in the future to deal with this downside.
• Bio :: Kane lived a relatively boring life while in Sootopolis City and it was this monotony that drove him to join Team Aqua. Besides dutifully heading to Pokémon school daily, he would typically avoid his fellow students altogether. He cursed it on his introverted and inhibited nature, but was was known to cast blame elsewhere by claiming other people were not suited for his company. Unfortunately, years later, this blame was turned inward and morphed into a form of self-loathing. When he discovered the enjoyment of the internet, Kane found himself on it most of the time. Save for logging on and off to head to sleep or such, it was rare for him to venture out into the real world. These circumstances became less commonplace, though, when his mother forced him to start going out more often.
It was during this portion of his tween years that Kane stared to take an interest in beach combing. Sootopolis City did have its fair share of things to offer from this hobby, but Kane favored heading to Mossdeep City instead. He would swim the entire way there, but he soon grew fed up of the chore when he was too tired to even stand to his knees after the physical exertion. During one of these trips, he discovered a beached Murex, and pushed him to the sea from a sand bank in exchange for him taking him back to Sootopolis City. When the male questioned him if he'd like to join him as a friend, the Sharpedo surprisingly complied, and he's been Kane's first friend and grump of the male's team ever since.
Kane joined Team Aqua when a recruiter came to Mossdeep City one day. Upon noticing the male's favoring toward Water-types, the man painted a wondrous picture to him with a world where he could be with Murex always. This is was drew the male in, but the exploits of a life bigger and better than his own is what really sealed the lid on the deal for him. Due to his skills with a computer, Kane was sent a myriad of places to prove his talent; first in Hoenn, then to the Unova region where the team had another branch (which resulted in his younger cousin, James Pierce, tagging alone when he ventured to the next), and then his final spot, Zatao, where he was expected to help expand the crime syndicate's populace in the region.

• Trivia :: + Kane's codename is derived from the Hawaiian god, Kane, who owned a tiny seashell that, when placed on the ocean's waves, turned into a huge sailboat. + All of Kane's Pokémon are nicknamed after seashells. + He's very good at identifying seashells and hoards a collection at his workstation. + A year before joining Team Aqua, Kane was scouted and used to model for a magazine before quitting because of the unwarranted attention it brought from fans. + He's obsessed with Water-types to the point he is known to stop what he is doing and gawk at how cute they are.
• Personality :: Almost immediately, one can make out that Murex is a big grump. He is incredibly indifferent when it comes to anything or anyone not concerning himself. Heck, even if a situation does concern him, the Shapredo only feigns interest in it. He is incredibly self-centered though, to almost narcissistic levels, and he is known of passing a side-eye to anything that has a reflection to give himself a quick look-over. Despite this, Murex does have a heart, despite how small and ice-cold it is. He cares for Kane a good bit (mostly because the Aqua provides him with nourishment). Otherwise, if he wasn't connected to the human, he would still be on his own doing his own thing.
• History :: Often, Kane would swim his way from Sootopolis to Mossdeep City because he found it to be a better location for beach combing and seashell collecting. However, because he tired himself out all of the time he did, his trips weren't frequent. During one of this trips there, he came across a Sharpedo trapped on a sandbank. He was tentative in approaching it, but the half Water, half Dark-type did not put up a front when he became aware of the male. It seemed as though he had worn himself out trying to escape that it couldn't even defend himself. After saving Murex, the Sharpedo had the intention of returning to his hunt, but Kane cried out to him and asked that, if possible, could he take him back to his home since he was done. Murex complied only because he owed him for the save. After jetting him there quicker than his swim, Kane thanked him, but then also asked him if he'd like to join him as his Pokémon. Murex relented—again, he had no intention—but something caused him to cast pity on the male and he agreed nonetheless. Since then, the Sharpedo has been the Aqua trainee's first friend.
• Personality :: Junonia is a bouncy ball of scales. It is not uncommon to see her fluttering her dorsal fins and racing up to the side of a tank at the sight of her trainer whenever he nears. She loves Kane to pieces and is known to grow somber at his leaving. The Seadra also seems to suffer from a bit of separation anxiety as well; she's on edge sometimes when she doesn't see the Aqua for a while. Her concern is not unheard of though; her worry extends to his safety, not because she needs him always by her side. Otherwise, she just a doll to him, and anyone else for that matter. She loves being in the company of people she adores and is known to coat them in love all of the time. Junonia longs to also be useful to Kane and has sought out ways to be so, but all of her attempts have come to no avail. The Aqua doesn't seek much from her anyhow, enjoying her company rather than wanting to put her in danger.
• History :: Unlike Murex who Kane shares a bit of a history with, Junonia was a recent catch by the Aqua trainee as a means to bring more partners onto his team now that he was slowly being pried away from his computer work desk and actually being put out to the region to run field missions. She was an easy catch due to her small size and Kane has worked, to some degree, to evolve her so he could have a stronger Pokémon on this team, but this task is usually met with procrastination because the male doesn't know where to begin or end with training. Instead, like all of the other projects he's taken on in his life, he's failed to remain committed to it.
• Personality :: Pain in the neck--a phrase commonly said by Kane to the Golduck--is a great way to describe her personality. Dosinia is an incredibly lazy, self-centered Pokémon that only seems to think about herself; always with a hooded look to her eyes as if the very idea of existing bores her. She's prone to drinking MooMooMilk straight from the carton, watching television late at night with the volume high despite Kane's complaints he can't sleep, hogging his bed when he should be sleeping, and slamming the door on people's faces or ignoring the phone when it's to be answered are just a few of the things Dosinia is infamous for doing. That's not to say the Golduck doesn't care about Kane--though one can note she cares a little too much. She's like a rebellious teenager when in his company, but she wants to everywhere he goes (preferably out of her Pokéball)--even if it is just a trip down to the nearest convenience store. Her indifference coupled with her clingy trait certainly makes her a large pain in the neck for the Aqua, but as with all of his Pokémon, Kane cares a lot for her just the same.

• Grunts :: + First stage - Grunts have been sent to Zatao for a scouting mission of sorts. Although only the Rockets have a solid base in Zatao (located in the harsh Saxukai Desert), the other teams are trying hard to set up bases of their own. The only order the grunts have been given is to find a good location for base and perhaps recruit more interested members. However, some grunts may or may not stick to this mission as devotedly as they should.
