Critter

Rajsha-- Think sabber-tooth tiger goat mix! Full of pride, cunning, and the ability to be where you do not want them. BUt once loyal, the treat you as part of the pack. They are pack animals, so try to keep other animals (or another Rajsha) around for company. They eat meat mostly. Do not feed them sweets or bread! It does evil things to tier digestive system(sweets) and can cause them to choke (bread). They are freaking agile and excellent jumpers. May be best to keep them in a large cage in a barn just to make sure they stay put till you train them.

»»» Step 3: -10 to train. They may be loyal, but that doesn't mean they take orders well. THEY are the alpha, you are just a food supplier. Know your place.

Sueno, now that it was spring time, left the cavern she and Milan had been stuck in for two months gladly. Not that she minded his company; quite the opposite! But she felt they were going to go places she wasn’t shew was willing to go.. not with an Oblivionite anyways! She felt horrible thinking that… but she was going to go home and live ono her farm! On Serenia! And an Oblivionite and her just… weren’t going to happen. Not if she wanted to keep her farm!
And she could tell that Milan was thinking of her in that way… his actions were kind of obvious! Especially since he and Lyklor had some behaviors that matched. She felt guilty thinking of Lyklor all of a sudden. She’d completely forgotten her.. sort of… boyfriend. Was he even that? Yeah he’d confessed... but all Sueno had done was go on a few dates… and forgotten about him the entire winter!
“I’m terrible,” she muttered to herself as she wandered off. She should take Milan with her… or either of her animal companions… but she didn’t feel like being around others now. She needed a breath of fresh air! And to not see the same faces she’d had to stare at these past long winter days.

A soft cry grabbed her attention as she crunched through the snow. She stopped and listened… it was faint and sounded a lot like Impisi… but Impisi she knew was playing fetch with Milan.
She crunched her way towards the sound and found herself at a ravine… with a small rajsha cub down below. Looking around, she saw no tracks… it must have fallen down before the strom last night, she thought with a twinge in her heart; poor thing!

Her small wings buzzed as she flew down to it. The tiny cub was small… and shivering in the cold. With out a care for her skin, she unbuckled her coat and placed him inside it, wrapping him in the warm woolen jacket as she flew back; freezing herself in the process.

Step 2

Rajsha: Need 50-100

Milan looked up as she came speeding back, jacket in her arms. He was about to call out when she flew into the cave… rather fast for a girl who’d wanted nothing more than to escape from that same cave not more than ten minutes ago!
He walked in to find her by the fire, cutting some strips of meat from a fresh kill Mila had brought in.
“What’s up, Sue? Why the rush?” He asked as he peered over her shoulder to see the small shivering cub mew pitifully. “Another one?”

“Found it in the ravine near by… no tracks so it must have fallen last night.” She said as she pulled the cub into her lap with the blanket and started feeding it.

“Wait. Fresh meat just like that?” He was a bit startled by that.. it was a cub!

“Mm.. It’s old enough, and it’s got teeth… which means that its not nursing anymore.” She responded, concentrating on the cub to make sure it didn’t eat too fast. “Can ye warm up some milk fer it though? Put it in a bag it ken chew on and drink milk from”

He went about doing so, and Sueno handed the cub to Milan to ‘nurse.’ “Ye feed it while I go make a place fer it.”

Milan, in addition to preparing the milk as Sueno requested, grabbed a bowl from the pot Kadryn had given Sueno a few days ago. Apparently it was some sort of stew that helped calm creatures down and aided in training.. how he wasn’t certain but if it had helped with Kadryn’s borgnah then perhaps it would help with the cub?

Sueno smiled when she saw that; she’d forgotten Kadryn had given it to her! As much as she liked training animals on her own, Sueno was not above using magic to smooth the process along. Not to complete control the creature no: that would just lead to the creature getting loose someday when the magic wore off and reverting back to being feral.

For the next few weeks, Sueno and Milan took turns looking after the cub. It was wary at first, but soon got used to them: the food probably helped the most!

Once the rajsha cub was used to their presence, Sueno started in on training. It was young, which meant it could be taught a lot easier than the headstrong adults! Not too mention it was safer!

First thing she had to do was establish some ground rules with Milan: no pampering the cub, no letting it get away with nipping or jumping, and routine! It was very important to establish a routine, that way the cub, already nervous from the changes, could settle down easier. As for pampering; some was okay, but you couldn’t give in to puppy eyes! That just meant the cub would see you as a peer rather than an alpha: you had to establish you were the master so that it would obey you. And nipping right now with tiny fangs was cute: as the cub grew up those tiny teeth would grow into fangs that can shred an arm or leg… habits had to be broken now!

For now that was all; get the cub looking at them as “alphas” and comfortable with them. Later she would focus on training the cub to work, to help in a hunt or defend.
Or, she thought as she watched the cub curl up in Milan’s lap: I could let him do it… The cub was very attached the oblivionite, perhaps because he was less a task master. She smiled to herself. I already have a rajsha, I can train this one for him and let Milan have a friend, she thought to herself as she cleaned up the cave. Today they were moving back to the camp, and it would be the first time the cub would be exposed to a crowd. Hopefully it doesn’t panic! It would be a test of how attached it was to them as well as if it trusted them enough to defend it. If not than more work would need to be done!
