Luin and Shadow have become parents! Since we can’t keep all the babies it seemed only right to give others a chance at them~
Parents
Luin Olos Ithil Mallen - Luin first appeared before Reoakee in a dream. The Azrein told Reoakee that the two-legger had wandered into her plane by mistake and that Reo would be taken home soon enough. When Reoakee woke up she had thought it had only been a dream. Very amused by the human Luin decided to stay and formed a bond with Reo.
The world in which she now lives is full of wonder and amazing things to Luin. Still she sometimes misses her home and looks up at it. When doing so one night she almost got ran over by a brash but polite stallion named Shadow. He claims his herd is a cluster of stars. Luin feels a connection to this male and is happy he seems so interested in her. She had invited him back to her home anytime and needs to drag her human to meet with one he knows. Though how should she introduce her new mate for that is what her shadow of the stars has claimed her as.
Now that they have foals together she is excited to have Shadow coming to live with her and the children. Things are getting a bit tight stall wise but she doesn’t mind she likes the lively atmosphere now.
Shadow-For most of Shadow's life he's known little pleasures and a lot of pain. He was born during the time of the Falling of the Stars (a meteor shower). Stories say that his birth was painful and that his mother was not strong enough to survive. She died three days after he was born. The marking on his chest set him apart from the others as his birth will always taint who he is. No one named him since his mother had died and for a large part of his life, he hung around in the shadows, literally and metaphorically thus his name.
Even if it didn't look like it, Shadow always had good intentions for everyone. Whenever he could, he would help any soul - human and azrein alike. There was no discrimination for him. And he felt a certain peace in helping others hence he never starved for attention. He was a brave sort who would put himself in danger unnecessarily sometimes. Shadow has ventured further into the Isles in an effort to find his light.
During such adventures, he almost bulldozed over a mare, one as unique as any star. She captivated his gaze, his mind, and his heart. Luin and Shadow almost immediately bonded over their love of the stars and soon enough formed a loving bond of their own with one another. Now that they have foals on the way, Shadow has decided to take up permanent residence with the love of his life as they begin their family together.
Others you might get to know.
Athari the Dark One - Athari is an Amazonian who lives a simple existence of hunting and gathering on a farm within the territory of the Equi Amatica herd that she makes available to any azrein that wish for a place to stay for a night or for life. On first meet, Athari seems rough around the edges, but on further conversation she is known to be passionate, opinionated, nurturing, humorous, and fairly sarcastic. She's made a living for herself with her crafting of leather and crude, tribal weaponry as well as farming. She is bonded to Nailiah and Alistair McArtur Lucian. When not on her farmstead, she can be found roaming the many places that the Floating Isles has to offer with either bonded tending to other azrein and humans alike. Athari is Shadow's closest human friend.
Reoakee- The bonded of Luin and Alu-lote, she appears mostly human but is actually a halfbreed elf cross. She tends to keep to herself for the most part and runs a little shop called Odds & Ends that is on the edge of the small village of Forlu. She will go into the village from time to time, but avoids it when she can and always takes Alu-lote with her while Luin more or less has always gone where she pleases.
Nailiah - The bonded of Athari. Nailiah came from a herd in which she was to become one of the leaders. The mare gave it up when she felt the pull and the call of Athari. As often as the amazon feels regret for pulling the mare away from her lavish life, Nailiah states she would never have it any other way. Not much of a warrior horse, however, Nailiah is the protective mother that would rather stay home and take care of things while Athari goes out. Nailiah is mothering, kind, protective, and realistic. She is one of Shadow's closest azrein friends.
Alistair McArtur Lucian - The second bonded of Athari. Alistair is slightly rough with no diplomatic tendencies what so ever. There are times where the stallion trips over his words, but he means well for the most part. His bonding with Athari was slightly strange in the sense of an aristocrat and an amazon. Not much of a war mount either, Alistair is more of a tactician who tends to help Nailiah around the farm. He's loyal to Athari and though he stays at his late master's castle, he always goes to Athari's home to visit.
Hellena Nitefyre - Nailiah's youngest daughter. The stubborn mare is often seen following her mother not out of need, but simple curiosity of Athari. She can be a bit naive as Nailiah, but has her father's optimistic streak. She makes friends wherever she goes, and always has something to say whether one wants to hear it or not.
Dome Menel Alu-lote- Reoakee’s other bonded Azrein. She is nice and fairly motherly at times. She and Luin play fight from time to time but are like sisters.
Dante- Alu-lote’s mate and the love of her life. He doesn’t always stay in the area but he seems to be hanging around much more lately.
Valerio- Alu-lote and Dante’s child. Comes to visit from time to time but is a strong and good hearted male.
Losa Tincmaeg- Alu-lote and Dante’s child. She can be seen near the shop a few times but she has never once approached while humans are around. She doesn’t seem to fond of them to be honest.
Alu Dea- Alu-lote and Dante’s child. Alu Dea is a nice charismatic boy who looks out for his brother Dorrian and from time to time has considered leaving and going on an adventure. Still he has stuck around for now.
Dorrian- Alu-lote and Dante’s child. He is fairly quite and has a strange looking tree growing off of him, but he is still really nice.

Other things: Ok since Luin has a bonded and she has a small shop it might be nice to kind of know what kind of place the kids will be growing in right? Here is a basic shop layout. The shop is on the edge of the forest a good twenty minute ride from the nearest village along the main path to the village. If you'd like more data on the area please feel free to PM Reoakee at any time after all she put quite a few hours into it and got it all nice and pretty approved by Pudds a long long time ago.
Questions and most likely some answers
Can I enter with multiple people/partners in the co-op contest? No, great question in fact it was one that I *Reoakee* had never thought about. Still since contest two is also an RP contest that could be entered alone I'm going to have to say no to this question.
In simple terms one partner for contest one. but then either person or both may still enter contest two.
Can I enter in both contests? Yes, but you may only win one pretty~
Do I have to name them after a theme/keep the family name? Reoakee would personally love it, but it's not a requirement and will not affect judging in any way.
Do the entries have a specific length limit? No but it would great not to have to have a one sentence response.
Can I edit my entry after I submit it? Yes! Entries may be edited until the closed date and will not eve be read by the judge until that time.
Why is there only one prompt that lets me have the baby have an evil alignment? Because the children are being raised in the north. In a loving family, the mother is bonded as is the father's closest friend. Honestly it would be odd if the children just were born evil when good or neutral would make so much more sense.... BUT sometimes evil is fun, to that end it was decided to make a prompt that would allow for the children to be evil logically.
Why so many prompts for the first contest? Its a tag team contest. The more possible prompts to let you play with the more the children would be developed and the better the overall end result would be. We want you to think and to play ~
This is a tag team RP contest! That’s right you and a partner have to enter together. *le gasp for cooperation.* This means that Person 1 claims X blanket and Person 2 claims Y blanket. So make sure you hash out who has what before you enter~ Once all that has been decided please only have ONE person submit the form.
Prompt one: As the two youngest boys of the bunch are you two bound for trouble or is that innocent look real? Tell us about the boys and how they interact with the family they find themselves in and if they are little pranksters how do they do it? Prompt two: Stay or go? Since there are so many others around do you like the noise and mayhem of the shop with all the other Azrein around or are the two of you off and bound for adventure? Is the shop as busy at it is too quiet for you and the lure of the city far stronger? Perhaps insead of the city you’d like the quite of the wilds?*fair note until the kids are actually adults they can’t really head out on their own. After all they have a lot of eyes on them if they take off early –wink-*

There is even that shy mare who sometimes will come out Losa. She doesn’t seem to like humans but can at least stand Reoakee her mother’s bonded.
Prompt four: There is a white mare in the distance she has a black collar and grey mane and seems really nice. You don’t see her often but once she offered to take you on an adventure. You've asked about her once only to hear from Alu-lote that she is a nice mare but very scared of humans. Dante doesn't like her though. Do you go with her? *fair note this is the only prompt that will allow for an evil alignment. The children will be taken south and raised with an evil herd if they go with her.*
Prompt five: You seem to be opposites of your brother even though you two are the youngest. You both can't seem to agree on anything, but are taught that family is important. Do you tolerate your brother and agree to disagree or do you count the days until you can be rid of one another once and for all?
Prompt six: There is a white mare with red hair that seems to come around once Father moved in. She seems nice and has a human bonded of her own. Unlike Reoakee though they get to travel a lot. You're a little skittish of strange humans, but you're curious. Do you go and question her about humans and what her life is like with a bonded? Or will you direct such questions to your mother and her bonded?

Contest two
With the other contest being one you need a partner for this one will be an individual contest. *after all sometimes it's hard to find a partner*
Prompt one: Mom and Dad always talk about the stars and how they are family. Yet here they are on Earth, and the stars are still in the sky. How did they get up there in the first place? What are the stars like? Do you continue asking about the family history or do you think it's better to leave that behind?

~Who I am?~

Prompt response:
Late one night you experienced a dream. It was unlike any other you knew before. The stars twinkled all around you and you saw galaxies swirling around in the void of space. The only time you’ve ever even thought about such things is when your mother told you of her home in the stars. Still nothing you have ever imagined could compare to this! When you wake up you have to tell her right away. What all happened in the dream and how does it make you feel?
Dark... It was all the little Lumian could see once he fell asleep, but it did not stay dark for very long. He heard galloping, it was at a distant and dull. It then picked up and got faster. With a whoosh, a bright blur ran past him, his vision burst with color as he tried to follow the figure. He found himself racing to be with the other, leaving behind his own glowing trail. They raced past galaxies and others that shot across the sky leaving their own glorious trail of stars and dust.
His parents had always said that the stars were family. Was he running with them? He looked at each one lovingly, but felt a little empty. Would the only time he could run with them be in dreams? He looked to the one that first brought him up, she had a black mark with star blaze. She smiled then ran off. Leaving him alone in the dark once again.
Lumian stirred from his sleep and sat up. He blinked to clear his vision. It was already morning. His mother was already up and he went to see her. "Momma! I had a crazy dream!" He went on to tell him how he was a comet and how he raced with others. He mentioned the other, with the black mark with the star blaze. Once done he looked up at her. "Momma? W-was I running with our family? The ones in the stars?" He looked up at the bright sky, sad he couldn't be up there now.

Family in the stars? Nova's eyes stung, trying to see what his parents were trying to tell him. Why was family up there and down here? Was that even possible? Hearing his mother call him to join the miniature band of azrein for the night, Nova gave a call in response, telling her that he would accompany them soon enough. Standing on the tallest crag he could find in the area, the colt continued his observation, watching as the night sky twinkled with such marvel.
A shooting star was falling, and Nova's little heart began to beat faster than he could currently trot. He could hardly control himself, and then made a wish like no other. He wished that he could have the sight to see his family in the sky, and it happened. Little by little, stars began to sparkle brighter than he last remembered, and he began to understand. The stars were always watching over him. They were his family, and he would join them when the time came, but now he was to roam the lands with his tangible family.
"Mommy! Daddy! I think I understand now!" he cheered, climbing down the tower, trotting towards his family.

Owner of boy 4: SwordOfTheDarkOnes Name of boy 4: Thanatos Olos Ithil Mallen Alignment of boy 4: Good Temperament of boy 4: Stoic Personality of boy 4: Thanatos, or Thana to family and friends, rarely if at all offers up a smile "just because". He's not a doom and gloom sort of male, just...not really all that happy or cheerful. Thana prefers the company of his more calmer family members, finding the more energetic to seemingly drain his own energy. He won't go out of his way for others, but doesn't like seeing a bully get their way.

Thana laid out on the grass just hoping to catch a few moments of peace relaxation...maybe a na-----
"Thana!!!" his younger brother cried out as he trotted up to the other male. Nuzzling his side to get his attention. Zakui wanted a few moments with his elder.
----was he thinking nap. No. No he wasn't at this point. Thana lifted his head slowly to stare at the other. Waiting a few moments he spoke slowly; "Zak....what do you want now?"
Zakui's ears flicked, his mother had told him to interact with the stoic foal that was his brother; "Mother told me to come and interact with you." ...he was blunt if anything.
Thanatos snorted, "Don't push yourself." he intoned knowing how much he irked the younger with his ways.
Zakui bristled, "Why are you so...so...what's that big word Mother uses sometimes?"
Thana stared at the other, "Disagreeable."
"That. Why are you so....that?!?" the younger pretty much exclaimed.
"Because its easier to deal with Azerian like you." he quipped.
"ugh!! I can't wait for the day to leave this herd...you are absolutely.....disagreeable!" Zakui said as he turned to trot away.
Thana laid his head back down...his peace disturbed as his eyes flicked back to the other. Was he really that bad?
Owner of boy 4: Duke Edward Drake Name of boy 4: Salazar Olos Ithil Mallen Alignment of boy 4: Neutral Temperament of boy 4: Mysterious Personality of boy 4: "The one who is mysterious like the darkness of night sky." Salazar puts a lot of effort into being mysterious and wise seeming, while on the inside he is grinning unrepentantly with glee and mischief at those around him. Very few get to see the shining inside that is covered by his outer shell. He really puts it on when meeting new Azrein. This to him is a very fun game. This could be a very good defense mechanism in the case of some Azrein but may serve to frustrate others. He has a creative mind and loves to solve riddles. He adores his parents and is often the rare bouncy happy self that is so seldom seen around anyone else in their presence.
Owner of boy 5: manga_artist303 Name of boy 5: Astrophel Olos Ithil Mallen Alignment of boy 5: Neutral Temperament of boy 5: Dazzling Personality of boy 5: "The one who is dazzling like the stars in the sky." Astrophel is enthusiastic and always ready with an encouraging remark. He is particularly supportive of his brother's "dark and mysterious" ways, and is often seen by his side. He adores his family and is almost never on his lonesome, as he has a crippling fear of being alone. He hopes to one day go adventuring with Salazar to explore the Isle.
Plans for the kids when they grow up?: Astrophel and Salazar will likely go adventuring together when they grow up. If Salazar has his way, they'll make their home in an abandoned farm or house, which will be booby trapped to discourage intruders. While they aren't looking for trouble, Salazar and Astrophel create their fair share of it. Astrophel's desire for adventure and Salazar's goal of being dark and mysterious often draw them into bizarre and troublesome situations. However, the combination of Salazar's intelligence and Astrophel's charisma allow them to avoid disaster when it strikes.
It takes a great deal of effort to keep up this degree of brat while avoiding the consequences. So when they are alone with each other all the barriers fall and they can just be themselves.
Salazar has been working on his "innocent" look since birth while Astrophel's innocence sprung up naturally. Salazar tends to overthink things and devise complicated plans that have little chance of working... and Astrophel provides encouragement and advice for when those plans fail to come to fruition. Salazar depends on Astrophel for encouragment and inspiration, he cherishes his brother more than his brother knows. Astrophel depends on Salazar to combat the terrifying sense of loneliness that he has when his brother isn't present.
While both get along well with most of their family, they get along best with one another. Salazar enjoys time with both parents but when things go really wrong he heads for mother for comfort. Astrophel enjoys time with both parents and especially loves listening to stories of his father's travels.
