THERE ARE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT! I warned you.
So I just finished watching Saiyuki Reload--it wasn't as good as Gensoumaden Saiyuki. I loved how you learned more about Lirin, Ayame(sp), and Dokugakoji, and I loved how you find out Dr. Nii was also a Sanzo--so you find out how Queen Gokumen got one of the Scriptures. The only thing I didn't like was how they practically cheap shotted the audience out of seeing Hakkai in his demon form x.o; you see the back, and thats all.
Tell me if I'm right. Sanzo can't become a youkai because he's a servent of the three gods. I would say "because he was once a god" but so was Goku, Gojyo and Hakkai, and they're demons. x.o; Okay, I'm downloading buying Saiyuki Gunlock right now.

Yeah, I thought it was amusing the way they teased the fans on seeing Hakkai's full demon form. I think they did the same in Gunlock I can't remember. whee
About Sanzo not being able to become youkai, I haven't a clue. sweatdrop

You can get pics from the manga if you run a search....I haven't finished Reload yet (actually I think I only saw the first volume...) but I've seen pics of demon Hakkai online....ish very pretty...

I have the first three books of reload....I'm not sure if they ever show hakkai's demon form...but for the demon/god thing...general kenren was a war lord god person....goku is STILL the god of the sky/monkey king.....konzen was a god...and tenpou...I'm not sure what tenpou was ^^;

Ayame? i watched all of Reload and i'm on EP4 of Gunlock and i don't remeber a charater named 'Ayame' do you mean Yaone? Reload was kinda stupid, it was nothing really but Bonus EPs and the only EPs that were important really were the final EP of the season ^^;; I was funny i gotta say that! =^^= And Sanzo CAN become a youkai, however the only way for a human to become a Youkai is if they bath in the blood of thousand youkai. Example= Cho Hakkai

I refuse to watch the english dub of reload. They changed the voice actors scream Why??? I loved the ADV voices crying It's not fair, now i'm seriously depressed sad
Can anyone tell me what they thought of the new voice actors? I'm still curious...

I don't know why, but I tend to feel really sad about the end of anime series... I complain for a few days, and once the new season comes out I'm happy again... rolleyes

I get sad near the end of a series too kuzz its over and that makes me sad but I am happy when a secons season comes out again. I am going to cry when Saiyuki is over. I dont want the happies to end crying

Yeah the reload story was more of the humorous type compared to genso. i like the part where they revealed some info about kougaiji too, about the origin of his earrings, or was it in gunlock. there was also some hints that Sanzo may be a demi-God, according to Ukoku Sanzo who is now Dr. Nii. The first time when he saw Sanzo, that thought crossed his mind, co'z of Sanzo's hair and eye color. That was also the time when Sanzo and Kami-sama first met, when they were kids.

I liked the first season much better myself. I hated reload. Not all of it, because some of the episodes were cute, but still.. Why they heck did they change some of the character's hair color? neutral That was one of the most stupid things ever. I've only seen the first volume to Gunlock, but so far I like it better and the opening song is good! Also, I was surprised about the doctor at the end but I thought that was kind of cool.
