Lovely members of SDRP, it is that beautiful time of year again! Pumpkins and werewolves, falling leaves and crackling fires, s'smores and haikus--what was that? Oh? Haikus aren't typically a "Halloween thing"? Well they are this year!
SDRP is happy to host as a subevent of the
Halloween2k14 Event the
Haiku Writing Contest! Wanna try your hat at it? Read on:
Here's the Gist:Each week, there will be a new word will be posted in the subevent forum. Should you wish to enter the contest that week, write up a haiku including that word and post it in the forum with the following form:

[b]Submission Number:[/b]
[b]Keyword Contest or Worst Haiku ever Contest (final week only)[/b]
At the end of the week, the judging panel will pick their top two haikus. The winners will be posted and the new week will bring in a new word. For the last week, there will be be two contests running--the normal "use this word" contest and the "Worst Haiku Ever" contest. For this one, the judges will pick what they feel are the worst two haikus they have ever read--that still follow haiku format!-- and they will receive prizes!

Haikus must follow the 5-7-5 format (please see opening Haiku for reference!)
Limit of 3 Submissions per user per week
All decisions are final!
But What's in it for Me?:All first place winners will receive one
Dragon Hoard. All second place winners will receive 1,000,000 gaia gold.
