"Yes."

Vision flickered back to life, but there was little to be rejoiceful for. Black smoke coiled around broken devastation. Color seemed to have leaked from the world leaving the greys and browns of destruction. Fire claimed buildings and the ground in higher places was growing black. Ash choked the air, making it hard to breath, toxic. Reddish brown liquid created mud at ones feet as a woman in armor pulled herself from a destroyed ship that had barreled through several buildings. She stopped where she was, watching green text skim the bottom of her vision.
Valfreyja was her name. Her brothers and sisters had been elemental gifts, and they knew they were not the only ones of their kind. Other dimension had created similar beings, eight of them to be exact.
Her people had been watching for some time... a long time. To her people, the humans of that particular dimension were just dense as hell and should be avoided at all cost. Nothing was ever good enough for them, and now they were causing a lot of trouble in the worlds as the one they held fell apart. They weren't the only ones. Her own home was devastated around her ears.

Ragged breathing filled Val's audio interface and it took longer than it should to register that it was her own. She gulped and tried to calm herself. Her siblings were dying, that much was clear, maybe she was the only one left. If that were the case, she had her orders to evacuate. Her fathers orders. The Chief of their primary Gods was dying, or already dead at this point, and if the Elementals... females being called Valkyries and males being called Einherjar respectively... If they were alive when the rest had fallen, they were to evacuate and leave the world. Rifts were open to travel through, but she would need her fathers spear to tear one that wouldn't need a ship to go through. It could only be used once, to travel to the origin of rifts. It would seal behind her automatically, and could only be used once. The weapon was the only one of it's kind that she knew of and it was decidedly illegal by their standards to use it.
Val sucked in a deep breath and focused, closing her eyes. Her back shifted slightly and her armor parted before bright bands of metal exploded from her back, growing out like a skeleton form of wings instantaneously. Barely a second had passed and color bloomed from her back in an illusionary vision of wings. An orb on the front chest of Vals armor glowed white with multiple colors around it embedded in her chest as did the strange gauntlets on her hands. Her eyes opened, bright light emitting from them. Every color known to man could be seen in those eyes, every color known to light.
Her element had been light. Over the years she mastered what she could and pushed beyond her boundaries. The holy power of light could be used for both healing and destruction, as could the rest of her worlds elements. Under light fell the light of electricity and fire, though neither were as strong as her siblings control over their own subsections, with them gone she was the last in this world with control over their elements. Once she left here, she didn't know if she would be able to control them anymore. She would have to relearn the other worlds elements. Her light was her own.
She squatted and shoved off with a powerful sweep of her wings, propelling her through the air. She did not know if she would survive at all.

Days later.
Everyone was gone. The Galaxy was dark except for a splatter of lights in the depths of the Hall of the Gods. Val was with two others, a brother and a sister. Her sister would not survive the night. Dressed in Blues, the sibling was wheezing and clutching onto a spear. Their fathers spear. It would pass onto the last of her siblings, Val and Ethan. Ethan was the Elemental of Life, and would remain behind. Without him, the galaxy would die completely. With him remaining, there was a chance it could come back from this wreckage. He had enough power to give the healing light of life, a Subsection from Valfreyja's powers. That should keep their world from going dark when she left. Val and Ethans eyes met mournfully as their sibling passed, leaving the world with it's nearly depleted waters from before she had arrived. What she had left behind was barely enough for a small section to survive with her brothers help. Light and Life were the only ones left.
Val stood, tucking a platinum lock of hair behind an ear as she took the spear. She met her brothers eyes with tearless ones and nodded her goodbyes. She would never see Ethan again.
She turned, recalling her wings back to flight position and walked briskly, twisting the spear... it would be best to arrive on wing. She had no idea what she was going to be walking into.

She charged then, barreling towards a shattered off part of the wall from high in the air. She lept, extending her wings into flight again, twisted the shaft of the spear and barked out a command before slicing through the air.
She crashed through the temporary rift and would have died had it not been for her encasement of light around her.

She arrived into the new world through a rift that opened and closed as fast as you could work a zipper.

Val barely had time to open her eyes again before she smashed right into the wall of something tall, and crumbled through it. She took a very tiny part of The Yokai family castle down in her arrival.
Coughing, Val pushed herself upright. She'd crashed right into a desk of some sort in a musty room that smelt like it had been sealed for years. A nameplate read back to her in dusty bronze, -Koneko Yokai-. Papers were scattered everywhere, appearing to be old classwork papers. Names on top of pages read as Moka, Will, Ivy, and many other names. They meant nothing to her as she winced holding her arm. Tiny paper men scattered through the room, little cutouts that seemed to have been sealed in there with the dust. This room hadn't seen the lights of day for decades, possibly more. In the little light she had let in laid a book, which Valfreyja promptly tripped over as she swiped dust and stale air from her eyes. Soon as the pages opened the was a grumbling sound and it snapped shut again, reminding her of someone being disturbed in their sleep. Val picked up the book and dropped it on the desk as she righted the damned thing.
She hadn't meant to cause a mess in her arrival, but that was none of her concern. She shoved open the door finding it was hidden behind Sheetrock and wallpaper. Apparently, the room had never been meant to be found again. Opps.
Val felt a sharp pain in her side as she left the room, her hands flew to the site and came away with blood, a pen was embedded just under her armor. Her systems must have been out of whack, she hadn't felt it and none of her warnings had been triggered. The lights on her back that formed wings retracted leaving her human in appearance, and the light from her eyes faded as she stumbled forward, loosing consciousness and collapsing on the floor.

There was barley a sound other then a few pieces of rubble finding it's place on the ground where Val had landed. The place was too quiet... but upon that silence the air was thick. Not thick like just hot or musky, but thick in the sense that something was wrong with this world she crashed into.

A pattering of footsteps could be heard as they quickly moved through the hallways until there was a halt next to a female passed out on the floor. A dark green cloaked figure squatted down, carefully using a gloved finger to find blood on the side of his new finding. There was a mumble, a man voice. But not young, strong, but also tired. Carefully arms reached out and scooped the women up as the figure stood checking behind him. He glanced into the room, "tch... I thought no one would ever find this place when I sealed it." He replied to himself disgusted that he had to look upon it again. Memory's struck him hard as he forced himself to look away and continue down the hall. There was only one place safe right now he could take her, but there were too many there, and his orders stated otherwise. So for now he moved into his placement in the castle: that's right he lived in the basement. As he went down the steps and used a foot to move something behind the door, he elbowed a switch. Lights came on, weapons and blades of all shapes and forms lined the walls. In one section a simple cot, and a shelf of books. A dusty desk not used in years, with old scrolls sat in the corner making this place looked like it was usually left alone.

He quickly took the women to the bed, and started to see about bandaging her up. Cleaning the wound and doing his best not to startle her if she awoke. When finished he sat on the bed beside her in thought before getting up and pacing the room...

Val could smell smoke, fire burned and screams of the dying. She watched an explosion take out half of the celestial palace and felt her own throat grow raw with screams of rage.
Val woke up with a scratchy yell, and thrashed, falling off the side of the cot before her programming kicked in and rendered her calm. She sat up, trying not to choke on the air. She assumed that this world air was different from her own upon arrival, she had hopped she would adjust sooner than this. Her retina display told her she had been inactive for three hours. The display was visible to her only. An yellow warning light blinked at her from the upper right letting her know she was not alone. She adjusted her audio interface mentally as she sat up and picked up the sounds of a person breathing. It was too loud, she appeared blank minded as she continued to adjust the audio interface to a human level.
Her focus came back and her eyes landed on the previous pacing person.
"Status report." she stated, her voice emotionless. Blinking and changing her words she altered. "What happened?"

*The cloaked man just seemed to stare at her for a moment. "I was gong to ask you the same thing. First they show up, next thing I know something crashes down through the towers and I find you on the floor bleeding." He pulsed and pointed, his glove all they way up into the blackness of his sleeves cuff. "Statues report? I fixed you up." He replied.

He turned and headed over to a single little table and chair and sat down, facing her. "Where are you from?" He asked wondering if this was perhaps one of 'them' whatever those things were attacking the entire world right now while he was ordered to just sit here and watch the intel that remained within the home. Okay he was furious with the reasons he was here but he kept them to himself. Instead he said one last thing, "I'm Fu..."

"My name is Valfreyja." She answered back automatically. "I come from...." well... that was harder to explain. She called her home earth. Their dimensions were not so different in those regards. "I come from somewhere that no longer exists. It doesn't matter." she stated with a resigned voice. She stood up and patted herself awkwardly, registering the pain in her side without a wince. She wore a bloodied fine cotton undershirt. Her bare arms were usually covered with plates of armor with leather padding beneath it. She felt naked without it. Below she wore linen trousers. Both the shirt and the pants were white at one point, but were now dark where creases of her armor had been. Val glanced down at her hands as she shakily approached the table slowly. Her hands still bore the Gauntlets thank the light. They could not be removed. Flexing her fist she sent a mental command to them to shrink to casual form. The rest of her armor simply plugged in wirelessly when put on. The Gauntlets glowed briefly and seemed to melt back in on theirselves to take the form of a glowing bracelet and ring combination attached by chain mail with what looked like gems scattered through it. The ring was made of dozens of tiny gems of all different colors which glowed faintly, the wrist was a bracelet with no clasp, it was also studded with gems, these were much larger than the ones in the ring and chainmail. The largest in the center glowed blue for a moment before all the lights dimmed and the entire ensemble dulled an faded to look like lumpy metal, rather than something sparkly. There was no evidence of the glowing gems that were previously there and she rubbed the backs of her hands on her pants as if they itched. As she approached the table, she took in the weapons in the room. She honestly had no idea where she was. She knew very little about the origin of the rifts. Her concern was only the problems they had caused for all worlds. Her world.
What was left of it.

"Thank you for fixing me." she breathed. She couldn't stand it anymore. "Does the air always taste so foul here?"

*Fu gave a shie, "that's actually the stench of death." He replied vaguely shaking his head, "surly you know that the entire is now at war with that other god from who knows what universe." He shied, "there was once a perfect large great city, now that stench is all that remains as if half of the world already in the matter of only a few hours." He turned and relaxed against his chair. "I don't sense your from Russia... so your welcome here none the less." He smirked even though she couldn't see his face just a dark shadow from the hood over his head. He studied her, "sorry I cant get you a chair.. this is all I have." He chuckled.

What is a Russia? Valfreyja blinked at the man blankly. She filed away the question for later as well as the information on the smell. She knew about the war. The wars were breaking out everywhere once worlds knew of the possibilities of rifts. Her entire dimension was in shambles. Anger flared behind her eyes, coming through as a slight glare for a moment before her expression returned to it's neutral blank state. "I shouldn't be here long enough to need one Fu." she replied, meaning a chair. "My appearance here was somewhat... accidental." how was she to know her mini rift would open right up into a freaking wall? She didn't even know what kind of building she had landed in other than it was tall and it had a sealed off office.

Fu rolled his eyes, "I cant let you go out there. Not right now. Not unarmed." He stood and headed to the walls, "here's the rule if your leaving go armed. Second Rule, take a buddy. Always take a buddy." He shrugged, "however I'm not able to leave this castle right now under orders from the king. But I can show you the way if you really are set to go out into the war and get yourself killed."

However as Fu would have led her out the cellar and into the main hall that led past the living room entry and outside he came upon a small teen girl with a feathered white wing, and a black on fire wing upon her back. Green hair, golden eyes, wearing black coat with a fox symbol on the back. She crossed her arms as soon as she seen Fu and stepped in his way. She was kind of short, only about 15 years old or so but her current expression was serious. She opened up her mouth to speak, but no words were sounded. Sadly that was her curse for being born a Halfling, she spoke in a different frequency. But a real live fox appeared out of her coat and rapped around her shoulders, "mistress I thought you would keep me in there for ages Urg!" She noticed the company and got comfortable on the girl, "My mistress asks if you can assist her with information regarding the German particular tastes in what they call 'magic' in a sense." Yes the fox could speak... there was more then met the eye.

Fu blinked a few times and thought about it, "alright. I'll give you what I can find, but you have to help this one..." he motioned to Val. "Not sure if she's all there to be honest, fell through one of the towers." Again the girl spoke and the fox had to translate, "fair deal. Hurry with the documents." Fu turned, "right... just a moment." In a cloud of smoke, he was gone. Leaving Val, the girl, and the fox standing there for a time.

Val scooped up her armor before they left, slapping it on as they moved before they came to the woman. She hadn't bothered to protest or let him know she was not unarmed. She had no idea as to where her fathers spear was, probably on the ground outside. Her own blade resided within her gauntlets. She didn't have time for chunky solid things when she could shift her own to what was needed.
When left alone with the girl, Valfreyja remained quiet for some time. Fu hadn't exactly bothered to introduce them. She eyed the fox warily. Such furry creatures were near extinction when her universe was thrown into near total destruction. They were darn cute. What was left of them were sacred to the humans of her world. Wolves reigned supreme, the dogs of war. Her favorite thing to do as a child had been to play with her fathers wolf pups. Strange how a fox would bring back such memories. Seeing as the other was winged, a symbol of a kind of nobility among her own people, she crossed her fist over her heart and bowed slightly in a polite manner. She was in no way demeaning herself as less, but greeting the other woman.
"Hello, to you both."

The girl Waved happily for a second as the fox spoke for her, "This is my Mistress Ameillea Yokai. Daughter of Veria..." The fox glared for a second though, "I'm Rossetta... twelve tailed kitsuine..." She stood as if out of it and sniffed the air. She then leaped onto the girls shoulder, not even bothering to worry if she protested and sniffed her closer. She sat down on the shoulder, "mistress this women if not from here. But from another plane." If anyone would know, it was Rose. Ameillea didn't seem surprised, her wings fluttered alittle as she thought and spoke to he kitsuine once more. Rose gave a nod and leaped off Vals shoulder and midflight morphed into a mid-sized women with long messy black hair waring a torn black dress. No socks or shoes. "Did you come with those things..." She grumbled shifting her head to the front window where the large orange and black portal was buring in the sky. It was larger then any sky scraper, and big enough to fit just about anything through. Behind it in the distance were hundreds of the same portals, but half the size. From them if she looked closly she could see a Golem looking creature. But Rose, her back still to the stranger looked over her shoulder, "You don't smell the same though." Amiellea spoke to the kitsuine again as Fu appeared, "here..." he replied annoyed at what he had to do to find the documents. With the file in Ameilleas hand they turned and motioned Val to follow.

Val tensed and straitened when the creature landed on her shoulder, static rising a bit in the air at the unannounced contact. The names other than Ameillea and Rossetta meant nothing to her. She didn't know what Yokai were or who, nor did she know this Veria person. "My name is Valfreyja. Daughter of Chief Wodan and head Thaumaturge, or.... well... Valkyrie... of my people." Val finally showed more than an ounce of emotion and managed a smile, she had preferred not to loose two siblings to gain that title. "You are correct Rossetta. I am not from this plane." Soon as those words left her mouth her smile dropped back down and an eerie glare took it's place. "I am of no kin to those things." she added, glaring out the window. "There have been attacks all through the worlds once the technology came into existence..." her voice trailed off. She couldn't understand why she couldn't hear the other woman talk. She knew that her translator must have picked up on the mans voice earlier and equipped her with the local language setting... perhaps her audio was still out of whack. She would adjust it when she got the chance. She jumped slightly when the man arrived and followed, checking out the place and making a mental map of the building as they traveled.

Upon leaving the castle through the large front door, they stepped out into the rubble. For miles there was nothing but ruble everywhere, bodys being picked up by a cleanup crew. The sky was now a darker redish color, the first stage of the war from those things. Ameillea paid it no mind and Rose spoke every word for her, "Valkyrie is an interesting title. I myself seen one before from another world. Sadly... he didn't last long in my day. Mistress asks if you may have any valuable information on how to stop the enemy's portals. If we can close them off, then they will not be a threat." She replied more with a statement then a question. It seemed Rose was more interested then Ameillea was at the moment. "Perhaps you can explain this technology so it can be undone in a sense." She finished after a pulse.

((Ooc: Okay I had to type this out four times all different ways XD see there are a lot of things going on that are bouncing around. Oringally in the other RP Amiellea is missing, and prepairing an army to stop lusfur when he gets back tot he surface. But that has nothing to do with the enemy they face now XD 0-o however. Ameillea would do anything to assit her family even if she's not there since she is a Support member of there group. SO I decided to go the rout that she assistes them with Val from a distance. 0w0 so if confuse myself XD don't mind it. lol))

Val shook her head. "We would have closed them off ourselves had we known how. My people we're not rifters, the theory was too dangerous in our opinion." Val squinted in the red light of the outside. "We had a few bridges that connected nine of our local worlds of our system, but they were put there by our gods long before we were created." She sighed slightly, those were nothing like these rifts. "One of my brothers lwas in charge of the research, but he's of no use to us anymore."
Val veered away from them and scrambled over waste to reach below where she had crash landed into the castle. She searched the ground amd found what she was looking for quickly. Returning to the group momemts later with her fathers spear, which was more of a glaive at this point.
"What I can tell you is something you most likely already know..." she paused, picking a bit of dirt from one of the blood creases in the blade, "rifts are like doors. They open from both sides. Once they're closed, I'd sugest locking them."
((Ooc: her sister might male an apperance. Val hasnt told the whole truth about her world yet. Shes acting like shes on stroll in a park rather than just showing up from a ruined planet. XD posting from phone ))

Ameillea nodded in thought as Rose agreed outlaud, "we thought they were long long ago. But the enemy ended up keeping something of ours we didn't now about and it was used as a one way key. None the less..." she pulsed as Ameillea stopped walking and a surge of aura sent through her. She glared and rose said it, "theres a large group ahead. How well are you at fighting?" She asked as she shifted into her humanid form again. "Cuse I'm not aloud to show off all my tails..." she replied as three rose from behind her. Ameillea nodded to them. Rose pointed to her, "rule one. No one touches her."

Val blinked. No one touches the lady with the mismatched angel wings... got it. "I can hold my own I suppose..." she was being humble, but it didn't matter. She bopped her chest armor, causing the orb in the center to begin to glow dimly, lights zipped along her armor to her back, activating the wings to appear again. Rather than the half hologram ones she arrived with, metal sheeting served as feathers. They would act as shields if the need came for it. In her own world she would have allowed them to shine brightly with their metallic sheen, but just as she dulled her gauntlets, she dulled her wings. Why bring attention to yourself when you don't know who you're with? Her gauntlets reformed from the ring and bracelet combination she had shifted it too and the metal pixilized over her fathers spear where it met her hands, unused to the weapon, it began melding with it before the moment was over. It seemed to look less like a spear and more like a Glaive by the minuet. She never wore a visor or helmet like she should, she never liked the things and they hindered her vision. "What are the other rules." she asked dully, swinging the glaive down from resting position, she stood with her feet apart and braced while her arms were relaxed.
