Mmkay, so generally I can't go a day without at least an hour of gaming, whether on the computer or PC or handheld, or anything really. But over the past few days (11 to be exact) I haven't gamed at all. Nothing. And I didn't realize it for a while, but then it kinda hit me. And I decided maybe I was too busy, but on a very free Friday, I haven't played anything, and I didn't wanna.
Anyone ever have this kind of a problem, and how'd you cure it?

Definitely. It tends to happen to me when I've just exhausted my resource of games, or the novelty wears off. Sometimes it happens when my muses wake up and I get a burst of artsiness, or I jump back into anime. . .etc.
It's more or less a natural progression, you'll return to the gaming every day type of routine eventually.
There was a point in time when I thought I was drifting away from my beloved PS2, not so long ago actually. It came back with a vengeance though, and now all is right with the world once more. ^^

Unfortunately, I'm the same way right now. I have been for a couple of months, sadly. The only thing I've played through is Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows which is hella short. I think my issue is that a procrastinate and can't drag myself away from my computer or boyfriend. I even let my b/f sit in my room and play Ninja Gaiden without me having the insatiable urge to /ninja the controller. I think KH2 will be my cure. If I don't have the will to play through that (though I'm sure I will) then I must be broken. Tell me if you have any luck with a cure. Oh yeah. I agree with one of the other posters. It happens a lot when I get back into something else like writing or art.

I can never bring myself to finish games. I play them up to the last boss battle and then I stop. It's probably because I love the stories so much I don't want them to end. In Star Ocean 3's case, I just can't beat Azazer, though I know it's not really all that near the end.

X ------> I need a constant supply of newness for me to game consistently. Otherwise I get bored and don't want to play anymore for awhile. Especially when I'm just getting a lot of money or I can't beat a boss.
I stopped playing DMC2 because of that big, fat conglomerate boss in the wormhole. -_- Stupid monster-thing.
I usually go back and play a game from a long time ago to get myself wanting to play games again. Like Super Mario...or Dig Dug. Something like that. 3nodding

<3 Mmkay. Thanks all. I've had similar things happen to me, but usually it blows over in 3 days. I'm trying to heal myself now- I got a new game. heart

New games are almost always the cure. Sometimes though, you can pick up an old game and get hooked on it. That can cure your non-gamieness as well. (Sorry for the invented word. I need sleep and I've been drinking a little too much soda... blaugh )

Anyone ever have this kind of a problem, and how'd you cure it? D: school takes away gaming time. and I really have lost the want to play lately. I think it's the stress. I just want to sleep. XD;; plus I go to school to learn how to make games and do game art, so staring at video game stuff all day kinda kills the mood for me

I'm trying to find a decent college that teaches game creation, but it isn't quite as easy as I want it to be.... Any suggestions?

Ever eaten something you really liked so much you got sick of the taste?
Gaming's like that. You're taking a break. It happens.

It happens to me when none of my games seem to interest me. Sometimes I just force myself to play something, but I'm usually cured when a new game comes out that I've been dying to pick up.

It happens to me sometimes when I've overplayed all the games I have and I don't have enough money to buy a new one. But when that happens, I will usually just dig out a really old game I haven't played for ages, get a bunch of cheat codes, and God mode my way around. Sometimes you just need to feel all powerful, MUAHAHHAAHA!
