Crimson Mirath is ready to Rise!

That's right, the Wherholds have another lady taking to the sky! IC this takes place about a week after Banshidheth's Flight. Mirath loves everyone, so ALL male Wherhold dragons can join in this one. Blues can totally win this if they roll well! Just keep in mind a blue's stamina, and try to be realistic about how long they can keep up. The Flight will take place at Malvren, but notice that she's getting proddy will have been given to the males of Benden as well so that they can be around and ready if they're interested in chasing. Some males may not want to, since there's no guarantee that a crimson will ever clutch, and some more traditionally-minded dragons or riders might just not want to chase an atypical. But on the other hand, Mirath is far less violent than Banshidheth, so don't expect this Flight to be nearly as bloody. smile

I'll be using the dice system from Banshidheth's Flight. To recap, there are going to be stats involved: strength, speed, and toughness. The base dice for each color are as follows:

Blue:
Strength: 1d20
Speed: 4d20
Toughness: 1d20

Brown:
Strength: 2d20
Speed: 2d20
Toughness: 2d20

Bronze:
Strength: 3d20
Speed: 1d20
Toughness: 3d20

Each dragon also gets 3d20 to assign to stats of their choice to reflect their individual strengths. If your dragon is small or slim for their color, for instance, you may choose to add to their speed, or if they're large or muscular, to their strength, or if they're...well, tough, to their toughness! You may assign the 3 extra dice where you see fit, but please do so in a way that makes sense for your dragon - a big honkin' bronze probably shouldn't be rolling a 4d20 for speed.

For example, Pipith's size is 'very small,' while his build is 'average,' so he's a little dude for his color, but a pretty stout one. According to his character profile, he's also really tough! So in his case, I'd give him 1 extra die in Speed and the other 2 dice in Toughness, ultimately giving him 3d20 Strength, 2d20 Speed, and 5d20 Toughness.

The Flight will still be a number-matching game, at the beginning of which Mirath will roll a 5d20 for the numbers the boys need to match, but each post of Mirath's will specify which dice the boys need to use. If, for instance, she takes a sudden dive, I will indicate that they should use their Speed dice. If she decides to hassle them and shove them around a bit, you may get a choice between Toughness (to take the hit) or Speed (to dodge it). Please pay careful attention to which stat is indicated and roll your dragon's appropriate number of dice. As usual, each male gets one rolling post for each action post she makes (but if you accidentally roll the wrong dice, you may reroll with the correct dice as long as you do not delete the mistake).

To sign up, please post the following for each of your participating dragons:
Rider:
Dragon: (please include journal link)
Dice: Begin with the base dice for your dragon's color, then assign your extra 3 as appropriate to your individual dragon. If you need any help, just ask!

Update:
Anyone without a PC male Wherhold dragon may now create a temporary NPC brown or blue to use for the Flight! To do so, just post the following:

Rider:
Dragon:
Dragon's Size/Build: Anything other than the extremely rare Huge/Tiny for size or Bodybuilder/Supermodel for build.
Dice: Begin with the base dice for your dragon's color, then assign your extra 3 as appropriate to your individual dragon. If you need any help, just ask!

Sign-ups begin now, and will close 9/19. The Flight will begin late in the day on 9/19.
Dependent on the number of PC sign-ups, I may ask if the Flight may be opened to temporary NPCs, in which case further information will follow.
