The ground roared as the last of the Iron Phoenixes would slam the floor and the last of his feathers was burned.
Asching into pain he observes the perpetrator.
"You shall not..-"
The voice was cut down the moment the phoenix's life was cut down as well. Yet before phoenix had a chance to reincarnate. The soul was captured and absorved.
"Geez, what a noisy guy. If I wanted a lecture I would had stayed at home."
A Mischievous laugh would made the bravest tremble as the figure entered a portal.
"With that idiot down no one would be able to stop me... just hang in there, my precious other half, soon you and I shall become as one."
And just as soon as the battle ended, the figure would reach for the portal to transcend this empty dimension in order to seek the other half.

On the other side of the coin.
The Iron Phoenix of this dimension was training thoroughly with his weapon companion.
Suddenly the Phoenix would cease his motion and would receive the weapon's tackle head on.
"ow ow owowowooww....W-what was that for?"
Melani started to stroke her shoulder which she almost broke when tackling Illo with a serious stance.
"You show off ¬¬"
Yet Illo did not answer. He was dead serious on this one.
"Melani, let's move. There is no time to loose."
Holding onto the weapon, she had little to no option but to turn into weapon form and follow right after the Iron Phoenix, just what in the earth could make the pacifist monk to have such a serious stance.

Hours later the city was covered in havoc.
Among the fleeing people Donovan was trying to rescue some of the inhabitants that got trapped inside a building.
"Hurry up people I don't know how much would I be able to keep this up"
The people Fleed, and finally he could let the shield down and with it the entire building collapsed.
"Phew..."
But peace would not last long as he was suddenly asaulted by a brute force with no equal and like a rag doll was tossed against a school buss.
"hahahahahaha come on small fry. I shall take you as a gift for my queen."
Sentenced the foe, Dashing against Donovan who calculated a certain death.
"damn it..."
Yet, out of nowhere a slamming force repelled the foe.
"What the heck is going on? Are you okay kid?"
Melani jumped off from Illo's hand to attend the Injured Donovan.
"Melani, take Donovan and run as far as you can. Quickly... this. I don't know how much time I can buy you but Know this, Donovan is your priority now."
Melani grew nervous as soon as she heard Illo speak in that manner but before she could ask Illo glared at them both.
"GO!"
The weapon's eyes began to tear up in fear but she trusted her meister and taking Donovan with her she ran away as fast as she could.
"Good girl... Ive taught you well..."
With them fleeing, he felt relieved as he turned towards his foe.
"I believe I at least deserve an explanation..."
The cloaked foe revealed his face which made the Iron Phoenix glare.
"More over, why is my image the one that brings suffering to this city?"

Soul Eater Guild Presents...
The Dark Phoenix grinned viciously.
"All of this its everything yet nothing at the same time. I'm saving these people. Giving them a proper burial. All to praise the wishes of my queen."
"You speak nonsense!"
With that Both Phoenixes rushed into a battle where life was on the line.

Running away from the battlefield, Melani and Donovan reached a bridge that would lead them to safety before being ambushed. Sensing the inminent Danger. Melani pushed Donovan out of the bridge.
"RUN!!! uhg!..."
The weapon managed to push Donovan away but her chest was trespassed by a darkened blade. Her strenght was fleeing her body with every second that passed.
Donovan could only watch as he was falling into the water only to be shocked to see the blade's wielder.
"It's been a while... Onii chan."
A devious grin would rip through the boy's soul.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Yelled Donovan as he fell into water, or so he thought finding himself moments later on a strange realm.
"How could she... she was kind and sweet ... how could she do this?..."
"Ara ara... "
A voice came from the depts of that realm.
"Well she's your twin sister.. yet she comes from the alternate world. Your true sister is just as sweet and loving as always. But this one is going ham on the city. If you wish to stop her I can help you. But in the end you must bring her soul to be purified or she will simply return once more."

The Queen of Death city observed overjoyed the destruction at sight.
"What took you so long Onii chan. Will you finally accept me and become one with me?"
She grinned as she observed Donovan, who looked different this time. He was wielding a heart but at the same time he wasnt.
"Dont' tell me that you took mother's heart to fight me? That's cheap even for you."
Dovelette would smirk as she dashed into battle with Donovan following right after.

Well since on this dimension Donovan was the boy who lived while Dovelette gave her heart to save him and die as a consequence.

On the alternate universe, it was Donovan who saved her sister.


Parting from that, they would be total oposites since she decided to stay with mother no matter how much Eva tried to get rid of her.
Eventually, she was moved to compassion. And loved Dovelette, however the little girl hindered her mother about those strange dreams of hers.
And Eva explained the reason behind them, how Donovan died to let her live.
So she was angry and asked why was that?
So Eva explained how Eva was created and that made Dovelette hold a deep grudge against her grandfather and mankind in general.
When she knew there was a portal to an alternate world where Donovan was still alive. She rushed for it but was stopped by Alternate Illo.
Unable to surpass him by normal means she recourred to capture her 3 sisters and wield them in battle. Becoming rutless and vicious. Since she wishes to see Donovan so badly.
So, eventually she defeats Illo but before he could reincarnate, she asks Eva to eat the phoenix soul and corrupt it into a slave.
She also blackmails Eva a lot so Eva plays along.
When they start destroying this world
it is Alternate Eva that saves Donovan And gives her heart to give Donovan the strength to fight against Dovelette as her equal.

The rest is up to him.

As for Illo he was so serious since he knew it as an alternate him all along. But couldn't calculate how strong he was,, neither predict if he would live or die on that battle.
So, he wished for everyone else to be safe since he also didn't knew how much does the evil Illo is capable of control the Iron Phoenix state which could be devastating.
He sensed through telepathy and reading the other Illo's Mind that Donovan was a Key to stop this havoc, so he asked Melani to take care of Donovan no matter the cost. For if Illo died in battle it was up to Donovan to stop this battle.

And so Melani gave her life to save Donovan by pushin him aside. Where Alternate Eva could rescue him from Dovelette's grasp.
