The Final Trial
Note, that the follow information covers all of the time skipped.
After the confrontation in Tae’s room regarding the Sorceress Ellale Laytos, Salem and Kalay went to meet with Nona to discuss their actions in their urgency to get to Ellale. After reaching an rough agreement to not cause damage to the rest of her facility without warning her, the conversation shifted to information from Esthar. Kalay explained to Nona that Esthar was planning on jumping into the war to provide her resistance with a chance to get to Edea. However, at the time Kalay withheld any information about himself in regards to Esthar. He only offered that the president of Esthar would likely attempt to meet them when they got to Balamb if Kalay’s assumptions were correct. Following this meeting, Salem was left in charge to train Ellale in the act of using her sorcery. Due to the nature of her magic and her high potential, her learning curve was incredibly steep, resulting in by the time the Unbroken arrived to Balamb almost all of her training was complete. During this, characters would have been assumed to interact and have caught up with one another since it would have taken the Unbroken to arrive to Balamb. Upon arrival to Balamb, the people and resistance there moved into the Unbroken’s base. Notably, among those joining were Caize and Kiyari, though the latter was not welcomed warmly. Caize assured everyone that she would not turn on them again, and she was allowed in. Furthermore, a BIE agent undercover joined the group, Xaris. Before the Unbroken left, an airship arrived carrying Laguna and Ellone Loire as well as two of Laguna’s close friends and advisors from Esthar, and Koyuki. Laguna revealed himself to be the president of Esthar within a short amount of time to Nona before a meeting was called together to explain the extreme situation in which everyone found themselves.
Laguna explained to everyone that, as things were, their true enemy was not Edea but rather the time witch Ultimecia whom had possessed Edea. Cid Kramer, whom had been picked up in Balamb, explained that this was in fact the situation they found themselves in. It was revealed here that Kalay had been trying to find a way to trap Ultimecia, but had not been able to employ any such tactics and it was also explained that Kalay did not reveal he was a sorcerer until this point due to trying to hide his nature from Ultimecia so that he could try to stop her. It was also discussed in this meeting that what Ultimecia wanted was to compress time, but to do it she needed to have conscious awareness of all time. Her own powers could not send her mind far enough back in time to do this though, which is where Ellone came in with the ability to send one’s consciousness back in time. As Ultimecia is from the future, there was no way currently for them to actually get to her and defeat her. It was here that Laguna proposed a plan.
Due to the nature of Ellale’s powers, short contact with another sorceress would allow her to mimic their abilities. Since Laguna had been given this information from Kalay, he devised the plan that if they could defeat Edea and get Ultimecia to possess Ellale, Ellone could send Ellale’s consciousness back in time. This would cause Ultimecia to start compressing time and leave Ellale’s body so that she could use her own power to reach into the future. At this point, Ellale would then mimic Ultimecia’s time power and pull them all into the time compressed future with Ultimecia, where all images of Ultimecia across all times lines would be. If they could beat her here, they would effectively have beaten her across all times lines stopping time compression and ridding the world of her. This was the only sure plan to ensure that Ultimecia didn’t somehow escape and come back through another timeline.
With this cleared, Laguna then turned to suggest that Nona, Lloyd, and Riyel send a majority of their fighters to a front line to distract Galbadia. Furthermore, he disclosed that the BIE would be assisting them in creating cause along the Galbadia line to further create chaos and that Esthar would also be engaging Galbadia forces. With so many fronts, it would ensure that a small force of people could invade Galbadia Garden and take out Edea. The strike force was to include Nona, Lloyd, and Riyel, acting as the leaders of Unbroken. Ellale was required to be present and as such Taeria was coming. The two Sorcerers, Salem and Kalay, and Lisanna all opted in to the strike force. Xaris, revealing that she was from the BIE, stated she was coming as well. Koyuki and Isaac joined the force and finally, Sophia was requested to join them due to her healing knowledge to help ensure everyone made it back alive and that Edea was not killed when they beat her. Ellone and Laguna would be waiting far away and would wait for the moment when kalay announced Ultimecia had taken over Ellale to send Ellale’s mind back in time. With the plan in place, the only thing left to do was to strike.
Chaos erupted across Galbadia. Yuka and the Announcer took over a radio station with the help of the BIE and sent mixed messages all across the country while Esthar forces engaged Galbadian forces on open water, Unbroken forces engaged Galbadia forces on land, and various strike forces of unknown origin (BIE and Unbroken) attacked instillations. With the mass chaos, the strike force made their way under the cover of night into Galbadia garden via an airship from Esthar. Meeting them there was a small BIE team, the same team that had tried to capture Nyale and Salem only a month before. And so began the battle of Galbadia Garden. Teams were split into groups and all moved to open up the way to Edea. Lloyd, Nona, and Riyel arrived first to the grand hall before the headmasters office, where Edea waited, only to encounter Sou-hou Nebulous who openly attacked them. The fight was intervened by Kalay, whom used his sorcery to barricade Sou-hou from attacking the others and made it impossible for him to go help Edea, allowing Nona and comp to go after Edea.
In the ensuing fight, Edea was defeated. As Edea falls the story picks back up. Present characters in the area are: Lloyd, Nona, Riyel, Kalay, Lisanna, Salem, Sou-hou, Ellale, Tae, and Sophia. Each of these characters need a post, the last post will be from Ellale.
The setting is the office of the headmaster of Galbadia and much of them room has been trashed from the fight. Edea is kneeling against the wall, using it as a support.

 "IT'S OVER!"
Darting through the final shower of ice shards, Lloyd's maximum hound reached its final charge. With a last roar Lloyd pulled back his fist and crashed it into Edea's stomach unleashing all of his strength. The air distorted for a moment before the weapon discharged sending her flying back. The final blow resounded and at long last Edea was defeated. Lloyd collapsed to a knee huffing. Blood coating the left side of his face and hair. His clothes were also battle torn, his body bruised and cut. Up until this point he had to give his all just to reach this place. There were too many variables, too many surprises. And Sou-ho...who could have foreseen that? Thankfully though, he heard his father and master were retrieved and they were doing their part as well. Thus, it fell on this task force to see this through.
Lloyd remembered what Laguna had said about the true enemy, but in this moment...just in this moment he had reached a goal. He could not help but feel his friends and he had accomplished something thought impossible. Fisherman's Horizon was avenged in this battle. It wasn't all in vain. Every decision, all the blood and tears shed had led up to this moment. The final act was going to be upon them soon, who knew how long it would take? Lloyd, Nona, Riyel, Kalay, Lisanna, Salem, Sou-hou, Ellale, Tae, and Sophia. Despite the circumstances this felt nostalgic. Wait a moment! Were Kalay and Lisanna alright?! Sou-ho had been forced to fight them inside of that barrier while everyone else faced Edea. "Guys- nngnh!" Lloyd attempted to rush for the door but his body revolted and he coughed blood obviously over his limit as it was. The wounds he sustained from that final charge through her ice storm took a toll on him.
For a moment his vision wavered but he shook his head. 'Dammit...am I at my limit?' he mentally cursed forced to stay where he was. 'Lloyd, do not overexert yourself! The battle with Edea took everything you had to give. You must conserve your remaining strength for the final battle.' Leviathan chided from within his domain and the blonde winced. He glanced to each of his friends. Everyone fought their hardest against Edea, and she proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Yet somehow...they did it. He hoped on the other battlefields their allies were also finding success in their endeavours. "A...little help...would be great" he joked a bit with a wheeze but it was clear he needed attention.

He was covered in blood that was certainly not just his own, he knew that. He had scored multiple blows on the witch that had collapsed before him and that was also not including the time he had spent on the front line as part of the distraction until Nona and Lloyd had called him back. Riyel had certainly killed a great number of people today and he felt little to no regret. It was odd that such emotions were going passed him. His own eyes turned and watched Koyuki with a wary expression before looking around at the others. Everyone had put a great deal of effort into fighting but what had made the matter worse for him was the news that had hit him before this entire conflict had begun to commence.
The fact that he was going to be a father and the mother of his child was here served to slightly irritate him. It was worse that the child came from a night that he certainly did not remember. "Mommy? Daddy? How did I get made?" Well Son, it goes like this...I was really hammered and don't recall a god damn thing. Ask your mother. And it wasn't like Riyel wasn't happy...but he had wanted other things too...and with things like this going on...it just wasn't going to happen. He had done his best to protect Koyuki from harm, forcing her to stay back as much as he could but he also had to engage as well.
I'm such a damn fool."
Looking down at his clothes, he could smell the iron from the amount of blood on his frame. The Infiniti Edge Gunblade's gears continued to turn as steam rushed out of it from the use, it's blade divulging in the fine wine that was a man's blood. But needless to say, Riyel was not the worst one for wear. His brother was certainly much worse, and this was proven as the Ringer had to help his brother up, jerking him up by his shoulders and handind him a high potion. "Stand your ground. We're not done yet." His eyes found Nona for a moment, his eyes watching her as he remained silent before turning towards Kalay and Lisanna, making sure that they were alright from their little conflict with an old friend...but then he realized who he should be looking at.
His body turned towards Ellale and he gripped his blade tight. It was almost time.
When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb

Fire.
A whole country, burning. Composition C, nitroglycerin, gasoline, molotov cocktails. Nona could see the pillars of smoke rising above the cities in the day, and at night they glowed like campfires.
Murderers were burning.
Sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers were burning.
They were lying in hospital beds, writhing in pain from the fragments of lead in their bodies. They were lying in ditches, trying to hold their entrails in when a sword had cut them open.
Murderers were crying.
Sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers were crying.
She knew they were. She had planned it. She had a hand in every coordinated strike, every insurgent attack, every front line assault they couldn’t be won but could confuse and delay. Every one of them chosen to make Galbadia suffer. To make it hurt, and weep, and writhe in pain. To make it vulnerable for just a few hours.
There was a tumor, poisoning them. Save them.
They were already poisoned. Burn them.
They were burning.
Her scars were burning.
She was on her knees, shaking, breathing hard. Blood leaked from the corner of her mouth. Her eyes were wild and wide. She hadn’t taken cover from the Ice Strike; instead she shot for all she was worth at Edea while Lloyd made his assault. All she had left was the heavy black pistol she’d strapped to her leg. The gun was smoking, clutched in both hands, the clip empty. Sou-Ho had reclaimed his sword. She couldn’t even process that yet.
Edea was staggered. A cornered beast. They were close. Nona sucked in a breath and pulled the catch on her gun. The empty magazine fell out, clattered to the floor, and she fitted a new one inside. The gun cocked noisily in the quiet chamber. She pushed herself to her feet, bloodied like the rest of them, and managed to keep herself steady as she approached the brothers and the flagging sorceress.
She stopped next to them, brown eyes fixed on Edea.
Nona reached out with her free hand and found Lloyd’s, lacing her fingers with his. She squeezed it tight. The burns peeked out from under her shredded sleeve, running all up her arm.
She raised the other to point the pistol at Edea’s face.

The counter-attack to the ice shards was relatively easy. By now Salem was able to incinerate any of the frozen attacks that came close to him, and he tried to do the same for others, but when they were running into the attack... they were out of his protection. Still, watching his de-facto-mother finally fall after such a battle, well, Salem hadn't managed to harden himself enough to take this sight with a stiff upper lip. Or, hell, even to manage to keep his eyes dry.
Perhaps it would be uncomfortable for Nona as Salem crossed behind her. His eyes blazing with intense disapproval of her aiming the pistol at Edea, his grip on Carver tightening, as he stepped past her, towards the fallen sorceress before kneeling next to her. The last thing he could do now is try to comfort or help her, not until that other b***h had vacanted and 'caused the collapse of space and time. Not quite a consolidation for the man who wanted to help his mother, but still, he would reserve any further action for now.
Still, shooting another glare at Nona, perhaps his expression made it clear if she thought about pulling the finger he would make her regret it. "I never knew who you really were, beneath the facade." Salem said, looking back at Edea. "But somehow, I still didn't fail to get what you wanted."

Mood ________ Tired, Annoyed, With __________ A lot of People With a bit of a pant, Sophia watched as Edea fallen. She had quite a few cuts and bruises but she only ended up taking damage when the enemy got pissed off with her healing. There were so many jumping on the enemy before they even got to Sophia though so she didn't end up taking a lot of damage during the fight. When she did she simply healed herself. With all the healing and summoning Shiva for help, she was exhausted though. She had used up almost all her energy and was definitely ready for a rest. She had accepted to go with everyone after they requested her healing abilities in the battle. At first she wasn't going to go. She wanted to turn her back on all of them, start life somewhere new as Lloyd had left her and she had felt like all she had was her healing. She had lost all her friends because she had become so infatuated with Lloyd and the struggle she ended up going through with the loss of her first child. So why did she come help these people she didn't even think were her friends? Well Shiva defiantly turned her around. Told her she needed to stop acting like a depressed victim and do something for herself for a change. Sophia will always appreciate her hard a** GF. Shes helped her through everything despite her hard shell she shows off. She also reminds her of her mother and how wonderful of a person her mother was. In the end of Sophia's internal battle she ended up coming and for the most part keeping her distance. She put her whole heart into her healing throughout the fight though so no one would lose their lives.
She glanced around the room now to check on how everyone was doing. She heard Lloyd ask for some help and was about to cast Cura when Riyel handed him a potion and WHAT?! What did she think she was doing?! A frown clearly fell upon Sophia's face when Nona grabbed Lloyds hand. Her heart dropped into her stomach. Sophia looked away and licked her lips. Ugh!! I can't handle this right now.... She took a deep breath and casted Cura on Lloyd, and a cura on Nona despite her clear annoyance and distaste for what she was seeing before her. Sophia still kept her distance from everyone. She quietly looked around at the group, avoiding looking at Lloyd and Nona. She wasn't sure what else to do at this point but use the last of her heals up on who needed it. Apparently there was another battle. It seemed all she could do now was quietly wait while she fixed up everyones wounds.
{: Feel free to say you got a Cure or Cura from Sophia in your next posts. Sophia would have everyone healed up to at least almost full health but not sure who else specifically needs it. :}

On wobbly legs but they lived. Her gaze missed nothing. Nona grabbing onto Lloyd's hand, the angered look from Salem, and the annoyed expression from Sophia. A tingling feeling washed over her entire body as Sophia's spell caressed her. Her eyes briefly closed before her own hand reached out towards a certain someone's hand. Tae wasn't sure how quickly the evil sorceress would come for the girl whom she stood by. Her gaze now turned to land on the other girl. Now that they weren't locked in a battle she wondered briefly how Kalay and Liz were doing. ”Almost there. . . ” she murmured quietly, the only one who might have heard her if they were paying attention would have been Ellale. One down one more to go. This was the final leg in this journey. After this she was ready to leave it all behind. The killing intent vanished from his eyes, his expression becoming vacant and devoid before distorting with emotions. He dropped his sword, metal blade clattering on the marbled floor, and he backed away, hands clutching at his head. He was muttering to himself, short, angry words escaping his mouth, and he seemed... strained, as if under a great deal of mental exertion. It had only been for a moment, but he felt something weaken around him. The grip on his psyche had been loosened, the very moment Edea had been defeated and Ultimecia expelled from her body. It wasn't much, but just enough to give Sou-Ho the chance he needed to take back control. The chance he had been biding his time for the last few years. Now he struggled with the remnants of Ultimecia and Edea's mind control, attempting to reexert his dominance over his mind and body once more. Get out... He thought, mouth moving soundlessly as he spoke the words but no sound came out. He was pushing mentally in all directions, trying to force the net of control off of himself. Get out of my head... The control was resilient, and seemed to stick to him like a spider's web, but it was coming off. "I SAID GET OUT OF MY HEAD." With a sharp blow, he struck the side of his head, and for a moment went still. He was breathing raggedly, and not from the fight with Kalay and Lisanna. When he turned, his expression was calm, but pained. "It seems our students have completed their task." He said slowly, and once again the man who had once been an instructor of Winhill Garden stood before them again. Whole and mostly well. His hair remained half-white, and where a shrapnel of ice had torn his eye the pupil remained mulberry red, but the expression, the way he stood, there was no doubt that he was in control of himself once more.
The hallway outside of Edea's office was destroyed. Many parts of the floor had been torn apart from the battle that had taken place. Even where the floor wasn't broken and shatter it was still slick with melting ice and water, chunks and shattered bits of ice still remaining from Lisanna, Sou-Ho, and Seiryuu. Sou-Ho's uniform was ruined and tattered in some places, and he bore a few wounds from the conjunction of Kalay and Lisanna's attacks, but was no worse for wear than the other two. Despite his best efforts the two had managed to repel his attacks against themselves and Carbuncle. In truth, if the two had put any intent to kill in their attacks he likely would have fallen within moments. He had been the one to come out of this, not them.
"I'm sorry..." He whispered, eyes closed and shoulders slumped. He meant for them, and yet he had been waiting for a very long time to finally say those words. He was sorry for failing in his mission to kill Edea, sorry that he could not have been at Winhill Garden when it was bombarded. Sorry that he could not assist and guide his ex-students as they struggled against Edea and the might of the Galbadian military. He was sorry for having spent the last few years helplessly under the control of Ultimecia and Edea, too weak to resist.
It's not over yet. Sou-Ho thought, looking down at his chest, and unconsciously touching his eye. Ultimecia was still alive, otherwise he wouldn't still be standing here. Which meant she had either found another sorceress to control, or had retreated elsewhere. But just how long do I have? Long enough to make up for his years of inaction? He could only hope.

I will make your dream a reality. Mm? I'd be surprised. Even for you, that's a hard promise to keep. I will make it a reality.
Kalay had his hand outstretched, blades circling in the air around him whistling as the air spun past them. His eyes were narrowed as he stared down the great dragon before him. Behind him, she stood with her arms held out and eyes closed. It was hard to say if it was sweat or water that dripped down the side of Kalay's face. His body was littered with minor wounds. Any major wounds had been taken care of the passive regen offered by the field they found themselves in. Still, he hurt all over. Everything had stopped so suddenly, but that didn't mean Kalay could lower his guard. It would only take a single movement to send the blades into the dragon, but in truth Kalay was getting tired. Carbuncle maintained this field of grass they found themselves in, but if he had continued to alter reality to ensure her safety and Lisanna's. It was Sou-hou yelling that seemed to stop everything. Kalay glanced over at Lisanna and Sou-hou, seeing the man slowly stand up fully.
Kalay's hand slowly dropped and the blades dissolved from the air behind him. The way Sou-hou looked at him and Lisanna bothered Kalay. It was the man that they had left in Deling, but he was not the same. As suddenly as Sou-hou had return to normal, the surrounding barrier of ruby suddenly shattered, cascading to the ground like water. The grass that swayed at their feet with a gentle breeze that had been present inside the ruby slowly started to dissolve away into little lights. Behind him, Carbuncle swayed uneasily before falling into Kalay's back. Her small hands grasped onto his shirt, keeping herself from falling as she panted for breath. Though the field she had maintained was gone, she, perhaps surprisingly, did not revert to her normal state.
"It's... done...?" Her tiny voice asked as she turned her eyes onto the old Instructor of Winhill. Kalay didn't respond right away, his wings slowly taking a beat before dissolving away. "Don't apologize just yet." Kalay returned, shifting and putting his hand on the top of carbuncle's head. His eyes turned to the open door to the headmaster's office. No doubt it was about to begin. "We've got one last thing to do. Something we should have done over two years ago." There was really only one thing he could be referring to. His eyes slowly closed.
"We've got to kill Ultimecia. Time to make up for all that down time, right?" That was almost a joke as Kalay opened his right eye alone to glance at Sou-hou. His tone indicated he wasn't joking though, as did his gaze. How he wondered what the man before him thought, and how much he knew it mattered not.
"Carbuncle. I'll handle the rest. Take a break." "I don't think I have much choice in that..." She muttered in response.

I close my eyes and bleed this empty heart of all that longs to die, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxWhen faces lie and love will falter, I'm left with only timexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAnd time will break the dreams that take the pain away... ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃Edea's defeat could not have come at a more fortunate time for Lis.
The young woman was frozen in place, only seconds away from having been perhaps fatally wounded by Sou Ho's sword. Several yards away her GF, the huge white wolf, climbed to his feet and snarled. After the long and intense battle in which she and Zethar had fought their hardest against Sou Ho, with Kalay and Carbuncle's help, he had finally taken the upper hand and disarmed her. And yet he had held back at the very last moment. Lis had taken a number of small injuries and she was breathless and worn out by this point, her clothes torn and dirty in places. Her bright blue eyes watched the man before her apprehensively, unsure as to why he had stopped. When she saw him back away and appear to be having his own mental battle with himself, she understood. Her heart gave a little jump of hope in her chest.
The others had done it. Edea had been defeated, and whatever hold she had on Sou Ho had weakened. Lisanna's expression now changed to one of concern, watching the man struggle to take control of himself. When it became clear that he had succeeded a happy smile immediately broke out on her face, the sorceress letting out an audible breath of relief. She had been trying desperately not to kill him, hoping he could be defeated or reasoned with in a less fatal way, and it could have almost cost Lis her own life. Fighting enemies was hard enough, fighting friends was much harder. The alternate reality that had been their battlefield now shattered, returning them to the decimated hallway outside of the headmasters office.
Lisanna's smile faded as Sou Ho spoke, and she hesitated only for a moment before stepping forward and gently placing one her hands on his cheek. "It's okay." She said simply, smiling up at him. He had no reason to apologise, she thought. She could still hardly believe her eyes that he was standing before her now, when all this time she had thought he was dead. "It is good to have you back Master Sou-Ho! You were greatly missed, you know." Letting her hand drop slowly she turned and glanced over at Kalay and his GF, the latter with a soft expression. "Thank you for protecting us, Carbuncle." She said lightly, seeing that the girl was exhausted. It was still so strange to her, seeing Carbuncle in such a form. Not that it had been much of a surprise to Lis to see it the first time, though. Nothing about Kalay and his GF surprised her anymore, really.
The huge feathered wings at her back flapped once and then settled close to her body with a quiet rustle. Lisanna closed her eyes and took a slow, deep breath. "Let's finish this..." She muttered, opening her eyes again and then moving to go and pick up the magical spear of ice which she had fought Sou Ho with, and which lay on the ground nearby. Zethar limped over, his expression displeased as usual. He nuzzled Lisanna's arm and gave a huff, to which she chuckled in response and played with his fluffy ears. "You can't come with me this time, Zeth." She murmured, and he dipped his head in a reluctant nod, letting out a soft growl. The spear in her other hand glowed brightly for a moment and then faded out of existence. She wouldn't be able to use it, not if Zeth wasn't going with her. Instead Lis took out her bow, checking that it wasn't damaged, and double checked that she still had all her arrows. "I'm ready." She said in a determined tone, looking at both Kalay and Sou Ho and then turning towards the door to the office. She would do her best, for Nyale, and for everyone. This was it.

Ellale swayed a bit on her feet, taking deep breaths as she stood with Tae. To say she was tired would have been a bit of an understatement. The plan had called for her making it obvious to Edea that she was a sorceress. Using her magic freely was a bit exhausting given her short training on it. She let out a little sigh of relief as everyone seemed to relax as Edea held herself up against the wall. It was over, at least this part. After the fight, Ellale wondered if she even had the will to actually do what she needed to do. It was going to take a lot of gambling as far as she was concerned.
Salem had taught her much about using magic but really it didn't change that she felt like she was a novice. The fact that everyone was hoping she could user her power to mimic a Time Witch that was far beyond her skill was something Ellale had trouble fathoming. That was like asking her to mimic Salem's power which was out of her ability as far as she was concerned. Now wasn't really the time to go 'sorry guys, I don't think I can do it' though. She just had to act, even if it was crazy. Unlike her guard, Tae, Ellale's weapons had never been drawn. The two daggers rested at her hips still in their sheaths from when she'd put them on her belt. She hadn't needed them. She had Esthar to thank for her clothes with the slits in the back for her wings as well as the daggers she had. Perhaps, someday, she'd be able to thank them. But probably not today.
"I'm going." Ellale breathed to Tae, jumping forward and drawing, for the first time, one of her daggers. She was past the others in a moment, lunging in and thrusting with her weapon. It was in that moment that Edea seemed to smirk. The dagger clashed harmlessly with the wall as Edea started to fall sideways, but Ellale tensed up. 'Now.' And to Ellale the world evaporated away. From this point forward she knew none of the others would be aware of what was happening at all. Ellone had been waiting for the moment when Ultimecia invaded Ellale, jumping from Edea to her in an attempt to preserve her consciousness in the time they were in. And Ellone sent both Ellale and Ultimecia's consciousness back in time. Sensing she had what she wanted, Ultimecia abandoned Ellale's conscious, and thus it just felt to Ellale like there was suddenly nothing.
And that was rather apt. There literally was nothing. Ellale felt like she was falling, but it mattered not as she held her hands against her chest and tried to focus. She was reaching out, her sorcery being the only thing keeping her aware that time had stopped. And she found it, a section of time where everything was being drawn to a single point. In the darkness she focused. Everyone was scattered. They were broken into sections in time, each separate from the rest in little groups. It was really like trying to gather puzzle pieces and align them all perfectly together so that they all existed together on the same plain. It was considerably harder than it sounded. The worst part was her own limitations. She could feel herself start to panic as the fractured times drifted farther and farther apart. She wasn't going to be able to gather them all together. They were all being pulled apart so that they couldn't be connected. If she couldn't connect them, she wouldn't be able to make everyone aware of the new timeline before they were absorbed into time itself.
Tick... tock..... tick.... tock
She imagined that place. The place where Azale resided that existed outside of time. Though Azale had left her, Ellale was familiar with the way time flowed there. She followed the sounds of the grand clock and reached out her hand. The pieces were there, she needed only nudge them in the right direction. And hopefully, hopefully if she nudged them, they'd find their own way to the center. She was trusting that Azale was here. That Azale could see what she was doing and help push the pieces were Ellale failed. It was a long shot of a hope, but she wanted to hope...

Ultimecia Health?????/????? 5000/5000 Barrier? 10000/10000 Status Immune to Time Effects
{{OOC:// Have fun.}}
She stood watching in the wasteland of time. There was nothing for miles in any direction, just cracked dirt and earth. The sky was nothing but a swirling mass of darkness and glimpses of the world at various times. She stood watching it all converging towards the same point in the distance. Beside her stood a familiar face, his gaze facing the opposite direction of hers as she frowned. "They've kome have they?" She asked, to which he muttered a response. Their black wings both shifted as she turned, staring across the wasteland with an amused look. She knew they were coming, after all it was inevitable that she would know being a master of time. She could even 'see' the girl who was drawing them all here.
End of the Line
"She's quite an adorable little thing, trying to mimik my power and bring them all here. I'd have liked to have spent more time in her head. She won't be able to bring them all though, which is a shame. We'll need to kill them one at a time I suppose. It's much too late for them to stop me. In fakt..." In front of her, reality seemed to crack and shift, before shattering apart entirely. That smug smile didn't leave her face as she took in the three whom had arrived first. "Well well. If it isn't Nona, Riyel, and Lloyd. A pleasure to meet your akquaintanke after so long of you pests trying to stop me. Karas, do take kare of them." She waved them off, seeming disinterested as Karas put himself between Nona, Lloyd, and Riyel and Ultimecia.
"Lets make this quick shall we? I'd like to kill you before anyone else arrives. I don't really need a good work out before the end of the world as you know it. I'll send you back into time where you'll never return." Karas held his hand out at the group, the air seeming to distort around him as if something was present there that they couldn't see. "Flare." A light exploded from the middle of the group. If they weren't prepared to act, this fight would be over before it even started. Karas

Blonde hair was shifted and eyes hung open revealing vacant turquoise hues. A young man stood with a vacant expression in this barren place. Clouded vision began to clear as he awoke. However, something was wrong. Very wrong. Where was he...? Cherished MemoriesThen it all came back to him at once, memories he thought he had left behind. ~~~~~First Day at Winhill Garden~~~~~ "ALRIGHT! Dad look! This place is sooo huuge!!" Lloyd hung out of the window of his father's transport and the older man yanked the boy back in before he fell out. "Lloyd, are you sure about this? You know you could stay in Fisherman's Horizon with your mom and me.." Lein said sighing, obviously he did not like the path his son was following. But the boy looked at him with a determined nod. "Yeah! I have Leviathan now, dad! There's nothin' I can't do! Just watch!! I'm gonna get strong under Mr. Kyrrdis! Then then! I'm gonna kick a mountain of butt!" Lloyd grinned practically bouncing in his seat. Winhill Garden...the place where it all would begin! ~~~~~Pre-Aurel~~~~~ The young man was approaching his closet over a small hill of clothing the calendar caught his eye. On it were numbers dates and events, but there was one event marked in large bold red letters: EXAMINATION TODAY!!! It took a few moments for his mind to register this startling news and in record time his lazy disposition shattered giving way to unprecedented panic, "WAIT A SEC THAT'S TODAY?! DAMMIT LLOYD YOU HAD TO OVER SLEEP!!" Lloyd shouted before diving into his closet and throwing a pair of underclothes onto his bed before pulling out the only article of clothing that was in perfect condition: his SeeDs uniform. Lloyd whipped off his towel and quickly dressed before pulling out his pile bunker from under his bed and snatching the fingerless gloves off of his desk. With haste he slipped on the gloves and attached his greaves and pile bunker before grabbing a simple hair tie and tieing up a bit of his blond hair in a short ponytail. Once fully dressed the rushing trainee exploded out the door to his room and kicked it shut behind him before darting down the hall into the elevator. "Pleasedon'tbelatepleasedon'tbelate!!" he chanted before the elevator opened revealing the vast Garden lobby area connected to various facilities. Lloyd ran as fast as his legs would allow toward the entrance brushing, pushing, and speeding pass the unsuspecting students whom weren't exactly pleased with his running. "SORRY!" Lloyd called back before continuing his trek out of the garden and into the Winhill itself. His footsteps quickly pattered across the pavement as he made his way to the main entrance gate, it wasn't long before he could see people coming into view who were no doubt with SeeDs. "HEY! HEY!! WAIT A SECOND!!! DON'T START WITHOUT ME!!!" he screamed before finally arriving to the group. "H-hey everyone! S-sorry I'm late!" he announced doubled over trying to catch his breath. ~~~Aurel~~~ At first nothing changed, and then the water itself became completely still. Then there was a large ripple near the shoreline before the water began to move in a clockwise direction. Before long there was a whirlpool, which then grew into a maelstrom. The once calm water was now active with fury. From the center, where the water was being pulled down, shone forth a light. What looked like water in an odd form came surging out of the center. The water then solidified displaying the Guardian Force Leviathan. The beast let out a powerful roar to announce its presence. On the shore Lloyd stood and crossed his arms with a smirk "I think they could use a little rain." Leviathan's pupil-less eyes shone with understanding and it roared once more causing four separate spirals of water to tower up into the air. Droplets of water pulled away from the towers and rose upward dotting the sky with suspended rain. Lloyd lashed out his gloved hand in confidence "GO!" he commanded. The water droplets suddenly darted down like bullets upon the Mech Lloyd was fighting earlier. The droplets were numerous and meant to destroy the wasps while damaging the Behemoth. One of the wasps attempted to zip out of the way but was ultimately trapped. The droplets tore through its body like paper causing it to explode. The “rain” then ran out and of course the Behemoth and the remaining wasps took notice. They began their retaliation gladly with unleashing fire upon Leviathan. The towers of water blocked some of the oncoming fire but Leviathan was hit. It roared with fury and two water towers changed direction and surged forward condensing at the tips, becoming drill like. The first of the drills sped forward and collided with body of the behemoth with such force that it almost was lifted off the ground. Another wasp stopped and landed on the damaged wound attempting to repair it. It was then the second drill came forward and smashed into the same spot, not only cause more damage, but also destroying another wasp. "Alright!" Lloyd cheered as Leviathan created a small platform of water. Lloyd stopped upon it and it was brought up to Leviathan and Lloyd stepped onto the GF's head. "Keep it up!" Lloyd stepped into a battle stance as Leviathan roared continuing its watery onslaught. ~~~~~Deling City~~~~~ Lloyd clenched his jaw and twisted his body as the stone fiery assault darted for the group. Lloyd nimbly side flipped out of the way and a spike impacted the wall behind him exploding into flaming debris. Lloyd regained his footing and fought the urge to rush forward, however they had to cover the halls or it was all over. "Tae, Ellale! On me!" Lloyd shouted quickly formulating plan in his mind about what action they should take. The hallway curved around from the left and the right. Lloyd was willing to bet the reinforcement would be approaching for both directions. The hall was wide enough so that at least 5 people could come down at once. This wasn't going to be easy, but then again Kyrrdis would be ashamed if his student couldn't handle a "few" pawns. "Ok ladies listen up, those reinforcements are gonna be here anytime now and we have to keep them out. Worst come to worst we'll shut the door, but for now we'll have to hold them back. Tae, I need you to keep the forces back on the right hallway and I'll take the left. Ellale, you'll remain in between us and switch between sides. We're the front line so let's not let a single person get past us!" Lloyd commanded and smiled at the girls in energetic confidence. The blonde promised to keep them safe, there's no way his best friends were going to end here. Galbadia would know what they could really do! Lloyd took his place and his pile bunker was fully charged for the first blow. He was halfway between the doorway and the corner of the left hall. Everything he had learned as a cadet would be put to use here. The opposition inside was incredibly tough, but it didn't matter. They'd prove here and now that they could, no... that they would defy fate! ~~~~~~~~~~ The memories were...so pleasant. There were so many rushing back to Lloyd and they made him remember that even in the world they lived in, true joy and tranquility always existed even in the face of adversity. Memories of his friends in Galbadia came erupted back and Lloyd's comrades had given their all to put an end to Edea. There was a distortion however...and then darkness came. It was so abrupt there wasn't much time to react. Lloyd silently promised to see everyone on the other side and allowed himself to be taken with a grin on his face. However...this wasn't his home, not at all. Lloyd inhaled a deep breath and life returned completely to his eyes. His knees buckled out from under him and he panted trying to figure out where he was. Nothing. There was nothing here! However, two figures caused his gaze to linger and freeze. There was that black winged man from Aurel! And...so this was her. Ultimecia. Around her was the area of dire danger...and could tell this was the woman who was the source of the world's problems. That one who pulled the strings behind the scene. The one who must be defeated. To that end...to that end Lloyd gripped the odd pole and lifted it from the ground holding it behind him in his left hand. Ice crystals began to gather and formed into the blade of Fenrir. "Our apologies, we've kept you waiting huh...? But don't worry..." from a metallic symbol on Lloyd's right arm pulsed once and suddenly metal patterned out from the symbol across his skin forming maximum hound once more. Nona and Riyel were the only ones by his side...so it fell on them huh? Against impossible odds...they would have to win. Heh, now this is the kind of challenge he lived for! Here and now he would show with Sorceress the true power of Lloyd Nipal, not as a leader of the Unbroken...but as a SeeD of Winhill Garden! He could feel the internal pull of Leviathan winding in it's watery domain and preparing itself for a final confrontation. Final Trial: Event HorizonLloyd lifted his gaze and his pupils were straightened signaling his current junction with Leviathan. "We saved the last dance for you!" He shouted darting to the side to avoid the explosion of flare. Lloyd bent his knees then bolted forward for the sorcerer with a sharpened gaze. "Watera!" he roared, formulating a plan on the spot. By shouting his spells, Karas would have time to plan around it. He needed to anticipate his actions with the knowledge he had on hand. He clenched his fist feeling maximum hound charging. It had the ability to negate magic and if he could land a hit on Karas, that could give him the advantage. By the same token, if he could hit Ultimecia with it then that could weaken her. He wouldn't spring his attack though, not yet. Right now he had to keep the pressure on before unleashing his full might. The globe of watera chased Karas and exploded. He would have been able to dodge it easily, but that is not what Lloyd had in mind. Darting through the momentarily blinding mist Lloyd sharply pulled back his spear before releasing a flurry of multi-stabs upon Karas. Had he moved, the moment Lloyd landed he would have spun swinging in a arc. The sheer speed and force of the attack bisected lingering water droplets. He wouldn't let the crow get away! Lloyd was upon his foe once more like a viper striking after its prey. Again and again, his spear struck for Karas relentlessly. His entire body was focused so he turned with the swings and made use of his acrobatic skill well. The edge of the spearhead sliced the air leaving small flacks of ice in its wake. He had to keep on the pressure like this, one slip up and he could be the one in trouble. Here on this final battlefield, he would see Ultimecia destroyed!

Nona was drifting through the darkness. She couldn’t see her friends. Couldn’t feel a hand she’d been holding. Couldn’t see her enemy. Then the darkness shattered.
Nona was small. She had to stare at the strings as she plucked one note after another. She had the rhythm down, but she had to focus so hard she stuck her tongue out and bit it at the same time. It was one of his favorite songs; she’d listened to it a hundred times to figure out the notes, one at a time. Before she even finished the last bar, he broke out into tears and hugged her, laughing.
”It’s perfect, Nona! It’s beautiful! Better than the original!”
Shatter.
Nona was small. She was a little figure on the side of the road, shaking. The right side of her face hurt. The car sat nearby, idling. A bigger hand slid around her shoulders. She could smell it on his breath.
”Just listen-“
She tore herself out of her coat to get away.
”Don’t you ever ******** touch me again!”
Shatter.
”Don’t get in the car with him!”
Shatter.
”You…like the music? Y-Yeah…I can play more. For you.”
Shatter.
”Nona Winchester, SeeD cadet year one!”
Shatter.
”There’s nothing wrong with me! They got in my way! If they’d listen-”
Shatter.
”Fine. I got everything I need from here, anyway.”
Shatter.
”Back off, you blonde idiot!”
Shatter.
”Just listen to my orders and we’ll be home for our graduation ball before you know it.”
Shatter.
She was burning. Screaming. Her face was coming apart. She was crying. The tears salted the wounds. She couldn’t see them. She couldn’t think.
Shatter.
Nona stood at the balcony looking out over sparkling ocean and gleaming piers. Fisherman’s Horizon really was a special place. It felt like no troubles could ever reach there, sometimes. The boys were on either side of her.
”If anyone can do it, it’s the three of us. We can make the whole world like this. A world without monsters.”
Shatter.
”Ahh…”
Shatter.
Countless fractured images. She was / looking out from a tall building by the sea / cutting down a monster / standing at a podium with the lights warming her face / holding a warm hand. Hers had a ring / sentencing a man to death / sitting with small boy huddled in her lap / pressing the gun to her temple / holding someone in the dark / on her knees in front of the sorceress / designing a great machine / detonating a bomb / playing her guitar / lying in a hospital bed / shouting at a young girl / laughing / screaming / smiling / crying / whispering / lying / promising / singing
Shatter.
All the broken pieces lined up, and a thousand Nonas were pierced by the same ray of light. The beam coalesced into a single point where past, present, and unnown future became one.
Nona coalesced into the wasteland where nothing but two waiting figures stood. A fitting world for monsters like them. Empty. Meaningless. Nona fixated on the woman, and her scarred face twisted.
Hate.
But Karas had to get in the way, like always The telltale ripple warned of a protective spell, just like the ones over Nona. She kicked into gear before he finished speaking, splitting away from the trio so he couldn’t catch them all in a single spell. The world exploded behind her seconds later, sending smoke and chips of rock flying. She skidded to a stop when she had both sorcerers in an easy field of view.
”I can’t Scan her!” Nona shouted to the boys as they attacked, keeping her own distance from them both for now. ”Some kind of barrier! Triple! Violet and silver motes swirled around Nona, first a few, then multiplying exponentially to dozens, hundreds, thousands until for a heartbeat she was engulfed in light. When it came away, she was aiming her pistol straight at the sorceress. She aimed with her scarred eye.
BANG

Lullaby of Deserted Hell
She was still falling. She could feel her body getting tired. It wasn't easy to try to use magic that you weren't totally familiar with, let alone something that was the only thing that would save everyone. There was a lot of pressure on her, she felt. She was doing it though, she could see the pieces moving in the right direction. She'd given them little nudges and they'd started moving on their own, towards where the fight was taking place. It wasn't as hard as she thought, but she needed to make sure she got herself on track. In all the time she had been focused on getting everyone else moving in the right direction, towards the point they'd re-enter an active time, she'd been drifting farther and farther. She knew she was heading towards the point of compression like everything else. She needed to reach out for just a moment and-
a crack. Ellale recoiled and held her hand against her chest as she winced. "Did you really think, khild that I would just let you mimik my power freely? I will send you into the kompressed time and you will no longer be able to interfere." Ellale yelped as she felt the space around her distort. She reached out with her uninjured hand and tried to imagine Kalay's boundry magic. Before she could formulate anything she felt the space she was safe in crack. Her eyes opened wide. "Oh no. No no no." Her thoughts were frantic as she tried to counter the feeling of space distorting around her into fractions. Ultimecia was trying to rip Ellale's consciousness into different timeline fragments. And that was not good.
A distorted crack tore through the space and Ellale recoiled again. It was breaking, the boundary that separated her from time and allowed her to act freely. And all the while, she forgot she was heading towards the center of compressed time. "Foolish khild, it's already over." Ellale felt her bubble in time shatter.
'Please let their pieces make it... even if I don't.'
As awareness faded, there was something else. A white plane. Clock faces in every direction, descending towards the center. A ringing sound, like a large bell tolling.
"I have you, my little sorceress."
