The General Kings and Queens might have met in private on a far more regular basis, but at least once a month, there was always a grand meeting for the Negaverse. Everyone was invited—Lieutenants to Generals, all manner of corrupted senshi. There was even a special spot for the officers who had merged with youma at some point in their life.
The meetings were all inclusive—and the Negaverse was functioning better than ever. Every piece was important, after all.
It was a time to see friends, to take pride in your efforts.
And, most importantly, to give the real truth.
Many of the same General Queens and Kings who were present at the most recent Public Service Announcement were at the front of the great room, though there were a few camera-shy faces joining them; there was a stage by which they could gather to make announcements, though there were chairs and tables speckled throughout the room to ensure that everyone was accommodated. Food was provided in long buffet lines, and well trained youma scattered around to fetch this or that for the Agent who requested.
There was an open bar, and provided you remained sober, there wasn't anyone checking for Identification. When you were in the Negaverse, not all laws applied to you, after all.
Things were good.
And they needed to make sure they stayed that way.
The scenery might have been casual, but there was no mistaking that this was still business. The Negaverse had just gotten into the habit of fluffing everything up. And, who could resist a free meal and the chance to gossip about your least favorite senshi?
It seemed announcements hadn't started, and for the time being everyone was invited to sit with friends, have their conversations. The General Kings and Queens were talking amongst themselves, waiting for the rest to arrive. The evening was still early, but there was much to be done.
And said.

Captain Aquamarine sat with the heels of his boots propped up on a table top, his feet crossed at the ankle as he leaned back in one of the chairs situated about the place, teetering precariously on its back legs while the front two hovered over the floor. Shoulder length waves of blonde hair hung over the chair back, his head tipped back to accept the shot he presently held aloft in a toast.
'To the Negaverse,' he thought, and looked sullen about it.
The alcohol burned its way down his throat, settling warmly in a hollow pit in his stomach. Tossing the empty glass onto the table with a clatter, Aquamarine dragged the back of his hand across his mouth in a brief and hastily concealed show of disgust.
It bothered him how they were all so indulged (perhaps a bit odd from someone who'd been over-indulged his whole life, but the years had taught him wariness), exempt from the laws that not too long ago would have seen him barred from consumption. It was little more than another way to keep them all in line, he was sure, lulling them all with privileges they wouldn't be allowed otherwise. A means of control, meant to make them comfortable, complacent, grateful. Life was good for an officer of the Negaverse.
Unless, of course, you found yourself at odds with them.
Aquamarine kept to himself, projecting an air of distance with his careless posture and a case of bitchy resting face. From the scabbard at his hip he pulled a parrying dagger, touching the tip of the blade to the forefinger of the opposite hand as if he meant to test its sharpness and warn others from approaching. He looked bored, his mood morose, perhaps as though this gathering had interfered with some other activity he might have preferred to the company of his allies and superiors.
“You there,” he said to a wandering youma, tone laced with arrogance. “Make yourself useful and bring me another drink.”

Opal felt old. Not just kind of old, really old. At thirty five she was confident that she had to be one of the oldest people here. Not that age was always a bad thing, she felt very comfortable as a General, but sometimes it was rather hard to take orders from someone a good decade her junior. And though she probably didn't she was felt like she usually stood out like a sore thumb.
Onyx should have been there. Someone needed to stay with the bar but dammit occasionally she just wanted her wife with her.
She took note of the cocky blond in front of her, smiling and shaking her head with a small chuckle. He hardly looked old enough to drink. She'd certainly have carded him in her bar but, hell, it wasn't her job to police the legal drinking age here. She shrugged it off and shook her head.
"You might want to be careful. Some of those things have teeth."
And not every youma liked serving their Negaverse masters.

Aludra had already found the buffet table. Her arrival had involved a brief loop of the room and a few blown kisses in the direction of the General Kings and Queens before she’d found herself standing in front of the food; particularly the lower end of the table where every sort of sweet seemed to have been provided for her pleasure. A plate in one hand she was loading it high with tiramisu, macaroons, cheesecake, chocolate pudding, jelly and everything she could get a piece of.
As she spun around to face the tables again, having no further space on her plate to cram anything, Aludra inspected everyone else currently in the vicinity. Those two over there looked like fun. There was a General and some other guy who looked super grumpy so he obviously needed some sweets. The Corrupt stuffed a piece of baklava in her mouth, chewed through the cloying sweetness and made a beeline for Aquamarine and Opal.
She announced herself with a full-mouthed and somewhat garbled ‘howdy!’, side-stepped around the youma and plopped herself down into a chair.
Though it was strongly recommended that the General-Sovereigns take up residence at the front of the room, being under the spot light like that was just not Shadeite's style. In deference for her position as a sovereign, she had taken up a place near the front, but off to the side, near one of the corners. From there, she could still be seen, but most attention was focused towards the middle where the stage was.
Sadly, not all attention.
Seated perpendicular to the table with an elbow braced on it and one knee crossed over the other, Shadeite was leisurely sipping a glass of red wine and attempting to look interested in whatever it was Sakuradite was nattering on about at her. This seemed to happen a lot... as though, because the general-queen never told her to shut up, that meant Shadeite was actually interested in SCIENCE!
Science was Not Her Job. Granted, it could and sometimes did make her job easier, but for the most part she really could care less how it worked as long as it did. At least Sakuradite didn't require any sort of verbal or visual confirmation... It left Shadeite free to study the others at the meeting with the greater part of her attention while still looking like she was doing anything but.
Below the table, a large, serpentine form stirred, a pointed head the size of a basket ball sliding into the General-Queen's lap. Dropping her hand, Shadeite ran her fingers gently over the smooth scales and feathers, taking a moment to admire the iridescent rainbow of colors. Naga had to come to the party, of course... he would have pouted if she had left him in the rift.

The words PARTY and BUDDINGTONITE were often interchangeable in his own mind, and though he had been running a little late, it was fashionably late at least. The good kind, so he told himself. The General-King had arrived and he had not arrived alone, as it was common, as Serpentine and his Lovelies were always in tow, and not to mention a very happy youma on his shoulders. Buddingtonite being alone? Impossible. It was simply something that could not be, and that was how he preferred to have it.
And Buddingtonite was in good spirits tonight. The consistent nagging in his ear was drowned out by the hubbub caused by the party, and there was plenty of wine and liquor to drink! He could fill his glass for hours and hours, the idea of socializing or discussing business with the other General-Kings was simply not a thought that ran through his head this evening. All he cared about was indulging with Serpentine and his Lovelies!
What a great night! And it had only just begun... he had a few announcements to make and he knew he should have been with the rest of the General Sovereigns on stage, but that could wait, he told himself. He was there to mingle... What could possibly go wrong?

Sarras was there, but he wasn't truly there. He received the invitation and had gone, if only out of being formal and such, but also to remind himself as to why he was here. He had spent some time in the Negaverse and had done their dark deeds with little thought or care to just how much darker his soul was becoming by the second. He needed a reminder as to why he was there, and he was staring directly at him.
'Someday, you b*****d...' He thought bitterly to himself, gripping his cup and glaring at the General-King that was surrounded by a horde of what he suspected to be cannon fodder or a living meat shield when it came down to it. There were other officers there, but Sarras kept his dark, crimson gaze only on him... looking for something, anything that could be a weakness for later.
Someone got too close to him and was staring at him, and he snapped at the Ascended General that was staring quite intently at him. "Would you mind? Bug off, bug."
"You... something about you I don't like," Ascended Genearl Vespa said, continuing to stare at Sarras, his expression impossible to read thanks to the visor, though the mouthguard didn't do well in filtering out the venom in his words. There was no drink or food in the Ascended General of Wasps hands- in fact, they were limp at his sides, and his back was hunched, as he continued to stare intently at him.
Vespa was only here because he thought it was an order. He hated parties. He hated there being so many people there. And all he wanted to do was focus his attention on someone, anyone, and he decided it would be Sarras until someone or something else decided it was more intriguing than him.
Buyan wanted to hang off Buddy's arm at this event, she was dressed in her finest attire. Screw her uniform . . . well mostly screw it. She'd managed to alter it enough that it wouldn't stick but it'd become formal wear, the jeans underneath just in case she had to run.
Who knew what to expect with these meetings? Buyan continued to keep near the General though for as long as it was allowed, and preferred to be fussy over her wine and the other delicacies. "Do tell me this party is going to be more than just another you did a good job. . . " Where was the art, the color? Something?

'I was a solider, once.'
General Serpentine had made sure that he was well dressed for the evening. Every one of his medals was pinned and shiny on his uniform, clear indications of time and effort given to the cause. Even now, his pride would not dismiss them. They were his; he had earned them. The rest of this parade, though?
It reminded him that, superior as he had always thought himself to be, he was not the man he was. He did not take the battlefield to crush enemies before him. He did not fight with the certainity that soon he could hang up up his uniform forever and go back to tending his flowers. No, instead he was present at party after party, guarding Buddingtonite and watching the Lovelies. He was a weapon, polished up and pinned to a wall.
From across the room, he could see a familiar captain and an equally familiar Senshi glowering at each other. Without a word, he slipped from Buddingtonite's side to go break them up. No one would dare attempt an assassination in the presence of so many, particularly when every General-Queen and General-King was in attendance. Aside from alone with Serpentine, his partner was literally the safest he had ever been. Let the Lovelies enjoy their time with him.
"Vespa, Sarras, enough." The order to break it up was clear in the roughness of his tone. He glared at them both from behind the mask, daring either of them to question his authority.

Adonis arrived as part of an entourage to Buddingtonite, a position he never quite relished given his highly charged interest in the same position. Still, there were great benefits in being counted as one of General-King Buddingtonite's favorites, apart from the myriad parties and special events he consistently invited the lot of them to attend. He was a generous leader, at least, and that generosity often came with a set of favors.
Adonis calmed considerably from his younger days, no longer eager to win the attentions of other parties in the room. While he still enjoyed company to its fullest, it felt more a shallow interest lately. Perhaps chaos filled the need to impress others, he didn't know. After placing both hands on Buddingtonite's shoulders and offering a squeeze, he leaned in to speak in low, gravelly tones. "You could stand to share, you know."
While he never ascended, he knew his lot with youma.
With hands slipping from the redhead's shoulders, Adonis took a seat at the bar, though his gaze wandered through the host of happenings. Mostly he found little to concern himself with, chats occurring at every glance, but the sight of an ascendant general both caught his eye and stopped his heart - the shattered skin easily recognizable through the myriad of... whole agents. I could've been one of those, he thought, unnerved. If I did, they would've given me his rank. I could've had my own entourage to do with as I please. But I've never seen an ascendant enjoy much of anything... Even Alkaid.
Too bad Serpentine strolled along to ruin the show. Though, if Sarras threw a punch, Adonis was hesitant to listen for the ear-splitting shatter and the quick repair process afterward.
I'm gonna need that drink.

The creature groaned in a host of tones as he reached the party, all food and drink and pretense for those involved to build friendships so the death of another might have some impact to them. Far too many misunderstood the boons granted by suffering here, each much too keen on pursuing permanent happiness in their jobs and lives over toiling on the long path he followed. It mattered little; the gaudy decorations fueled the party atmosphere in equal fervor to the snack foods offered on a host of plates, and each agent present partook with the intent to wear their masks to the fullest. All in all, it presented a show worth watching, even from afar.
Bischofite lacked interest in sitting within the cold business atmosphere exuded by his peers; rather, he traveled down the length of stage to rejoin the festivities below, as Buddingtonite already did. Idly he considered tainting a drink with tar and sending it in his direction to test his reaction, but with so many of his mindless drones encircling his position, he doubted much would come of it - likely he'd ask one of them to sample it for him first.
Well, it might be worth a chuckle.
In passing, he stopped a youma to issue the order for a rum and coke, with the exception that Bischofite must first test the glass. Since Buddingtonite proved thoroughly distracted by his so-termed 'Lovelies', Bischofite ran a clawed finger along the bottom of the cup to line it with a thin layer of tar. Once finished, he passed the cup off to the creature intended for a delivery vessel to pursue its ordained task. Without complaint, the youma clicked and chittered its agreement before scuttling toward the bar to mix drinks with tined forearms. Initially Bischofite watched, fascinated by the use of mantid arms to manage suck tasks.
He passed behind Buddingtonite, Buyan, and the lot of their kind while he paced beyond the length of bar. An unfamiliar blond and an older agent sat together further down, whose conversation he never quite overheard in his passing. He lingered for a moment, golden gaze directed toward the grouchy blonde for but a moment behind the mask. You remind me of someone.
The thick drip of tar from his lingering stirred him from the jarring feeling, and Bischofite fluffed his wings just slightly enough to send a thin spray across the floor and seats before he realized that habit proved moot. Some of those things have teeth, she says. Nevermind the claws and barbs and deadly poisons. Nevermind that agents manage a solid command over creatures of a myriad sort, nightmares layered together to become someone's feverish Geiger dream.
Oh thou, half of hell, half of dreams.

“What part of my face begs the presence of company?” Aquamarine sneered.
A General he barely knew, and a corrupt Senshi with a plate full of food. He knew their names only because it would be foolish of him not to. A Captain should always be aware of his superiors, after all, and the collection of corrupted Senshi the Negaverse had gained over the years had always been a matter of curiosity to him, if only because he'd never been able to determine the point of them. A Senshi was a Senshi was a Senshi, of no better use to them corrupted than they were dead with the rest of their kind, he thought.
He shot the both of them a withering glare but made no move to dismiss them. Such a demand wouldn't have held any weight anyway. With a scoff, Aquamarine impaled the tip of his dagger into the table top and stole a macaroon from the corrupted Senshi's plate.
At least she'd brought sweets.
Idly Aquamarine tipped his chair back and forth as he sampled the snack, finding it satisfactory and finishing it within seconds before making a grab for another. He made an effort to ignore those who'd joined him at the table, his attention circling the room as he picked out the various figures that made up this evening's soiree. Buddingtonite stood out like a sore thumb with his collection of Lovelies (a term that set Aquamarine's nerves on edge with a juvenile show of possessiveness over a name that seemed quite silly), but Aquamarine made no show of greeting or motion of deference toward the General-King. In any case, his attention soon turned to the presence of another.
With his head tipped back, neck arched over the chair back, Aquamarine caught sight of the up-side-down figure of Bischofite.
“Some of them have a lot more than teeth,” he said in response to Opal's previous comment.

Kazenite stretched her arms above her head as she walked across the stage to an empty seat off to the right. Being told to stay up here really sucked a** to say the least. Especially since it put on display to all those newbies… new recruits, that she was not a mere general as her signature would suggest when in the company of her guardian cat Xyla; but one of the Queens. Ugh this put a damper on things in a not so pleasant way.
With a look of amusement, the cat in question looked up with her gleaming yellow eyes and smirked. Oh she knew how displeased Kaze was at the moment. She had been able to avoid the last telemeeting announcement a few weeks ago but this was mandatory. Once her General Queen took a seat, the teal-blue and black feline lept into her lap and turned around so the tip of her tail brushed under the woman's chin.
The look of reproach in those teal eyes was unmistakable, still she said nothing and instead leaned back and adjusted her fur trimmed hood so it better concealed her features - which was not at all but who cared. Absently, she began raking her finger through Xyla’s soft fur eliciting a soft purr from the guarding cat all the while scanning over the crowd of individuals conversing with one another. ”Since I’m stuck up here for now, I have a job for you.”
There was no question in that statement. The way it was worded left no room for debate; Kazenite had a task, and her feline companion would fulfill it. "Hmmm…? What would you have me do?”
A half-smile, a mischievous one at that, graced her otherwise pale features as the General Queen turned her attention to the pouch on her side and from it produced a collar with a diamond shaped pendant. Oh, Xyla knew what that was and that knowledge made her eyes gleam with anticipation; it meant she wouldn’t be forced to stay on display and could roam around. “Go do what you do best.” Kazenite clasped the ends of the collar around the felines neck, “Get up close and make friends, sit afar and observe, up to you. I want to know what’s going on out there, what’s being said and to whom.”
Standing up on her hind legs, Xyla put her front paws on Kazen’s shoulder and head bumped the side of the womans face as that uncomfortably wide cheshire grin spread across her furry face. “As you wish.” and with that she was gone; bobbing and weaving between agents feet.
If you wish to notice Xyla walking about go for it. Feel free to approach Kazenite and talk to her as well. If you would like to have any back RP's done please let me know via AIM or PM.

Kedavradite walked into the event back as straight as every hands clasped behind it and looking as though loose wasn't a thing he did. He didn't bother to try to make his uniform more fancy, honestly he felt the metals were enough. He spied the other general sovereigns sitting up on an stage and he moved to join them.
He took a seat next to Kazenite and nodded to her in greeting. "Good evening, my lovely lady," he said in his british accent. "I hope you have not had a long a day as I have. Two hundred senshi tips to the hotline and I do not know how many online, but after weeding out the nonsense I feel I been approving investigation after investigation and quite a few task force missions."
He sat back, but only slightly and allowed his eyes to roam out over the crowd, the negaverse. They who ran the city, they who would one day rid the world of the magical that was senshi.
Lyceum entered with Buddy and the others. His lovelies, the term appealed to her vainer nature, though the plurality of it certainly rubbed her the wrong way sometimes, but it couldn't be helped. She walked closer to the rear and looking particularly sinful, her uniform, very different from the one once wore in the past.
She walked with a sway to her hips that said look at me, but seemed actually pretty disinterested in the any looks she might garner. She looked to Buyan she spoke, "I highly doubt that, but one can wish. At least their are drinks and we are sure to be entertained ..."
This was met with a frown eyeing Sarras and Vespa though Serpentine seemed ready to squash it quickly.
"I'm sorry," she scoffed, "were you under the mistaken impression that you had a choice?"
General Kings she had no choice to obey. Generals she had no choice but to work with and find common ground. Pissy Captains could try to look for sympathy in the always empty ******** Bucket. She arched an eyebrow and took a seat next to him, perhaps a sadist and perhaps a bit of a masochist as well. She outranked him and knew it but did not know where his loyalties lay. He could be the dog of someone whose bad side she did not want to see. That was always a risk in situations like this but an acceptable one.
Still, to rub it in she continued.
"If you keep talking like that to the grown ups we'll have to send you to the kiddy table."
Which sounded almost comical with the presence of the corrupted senshi and a mouth full of food. Opal merely gave her a skeptical look and didn't say anything. She was not under the impression that people like her could be true allies of Chaos. Once under the White Moon always slaves of the wretched thing.
She followed Aquamarine's gaze up to Bischofite and genuinely smiled for the first time until she was doused in tar and groaned. Leaky youma, glutton corrupted senshi and mouthy Captains. Was this the glorious rise the Negaverse was coming to? She hoped not. In fact, perish the thought.
"I'm aware," she said in response to Aqua's comment about youma having more than just teeth. "I normally love the beautiful things they can do."
She and her wife were particularly enamored of Bazzite and borrowed the youma from time to time from Benitoite to stroll with him on Sunday evenings and have some delightful fun with the park passersby. It was their equivalent of a Sunday drive. She was not so pleased to be sprayed with tar by random mischievous little demons and looked up ruefully.
"Why don't you come down from there?" She called, though not quite compelled. It wasn't her youma and that would be rude.

Kenisite watched as the agents discussed around him, and while he kept to himself for the most part, checking his phone and seeming eager for some text message, he had a certain bubbliness about him. Every now and then his phone would go off and his eyes would flick down to it; his fingers moved faster than should have been humanly possible. And then he'd press send and pick his eyes up and skim the room and wait for the little ping.
He wasn't a bad General King, but he wasn't entirely like the others. He wasn't a fighter, or a schemer—not like the others. He was the mayor, and even if he was just a figurehead, he was busy. Except, this was not official mayor business, and he was always particularly quick to hide his phone whenever someone got too close.
He was sitting on a chair on the stage, eavesdropping when he could—though it wasn't like he was fed all the information he needed to know. And it seemed like the rest of the night was going along very well without him—until a timer on his phone buzzed and he reluctantly tucked it away and stood. There were a stack of papers next to him and he lifted them and moved to the podium. Switching the microphone on, he tapped it, listened to ensure that the speakers in the room picked it up, and then cleared his throat.
"My esteemed colleagues," he spoke, and paused to smile at the crowd before allowing his eyes to dip back down to the papers. "I know we've all been very busy, so it is such a great pleasure to see so many smiling faces here tonight. Your patience in all of this has been most appreciated, and I cannot stress how proud I am to be working with such wonders. Now, I don't want to keep you from your meals for very long, so all I've got for you tonight is an update on the Most Wanted list. You'll be able to access this list and any updates either online or—well, you know, probably plastered all over the walls." He laughed, though it was not entirely humorlessly. "Though I would like to review some of these, so if you don't mind, I'd like to review."
He cleared his throat once more and then began to read the list.
It took a decent moment, and when he finished he stood up a little straighter.
"And, I think that's everyone! Thank you, so much, for your attention. If you have additional questions on how to handle any of these individuals or would like more information, I do recommend contacting either our Chief of Police or any other officer in the field--or one of our lead information gatherers. I know I saw a few of them a second ago..." His voice tapered off and he glanced around, though was quick to shrug and return to the microphone. "The podium is open—to anyone that might have something to say. Please don't be shy! If you have any questions, please feel free to direct them to me. Personal or otherwise, I'll be here." He waved, though quickly gathered his papers and moved from the podium. He let himself down from the stage and took a seat at the nearest table, smiling quickly at the Agents he sat with. He was quick to retrieve his phone from his pocket, but didn't at all seem too busy for socialization.
