Aelita was born to two scientists whom were very well respected in the science community. Aelita was born out of the desire to carry on the family name and so her mother became impregnated after the perfect gene's were chosen for her. From a very young age it was apparent that she was a child genius, being able to solve complex equations by age 6 and mastering computer work by age 7. However while she was highly educated her parents always made sure to also show Aelita the love and caring of any other parent and made sure that Aelita would grow up to be humble about her skills. Around the time Aelita was 15 she was preparing herself for another day at academy when her home was attacked by rouge aliens whom wanted her family dead for helping in the destruction of their camp. Aelita's mother and father rushed her to the panic room just in time to save her, however they were unable to save themselves. While she was extremely depressed about her parents deaths, it also drove her to push herself even harder in her schooling.
A few days after she went back to the academy she met a girl whom was a year her Senior, Yumi and quickly became fast friends with her. While she was at the academy she excelled in everything she did and easily graduated at the top of her class with high honors and was brought to become a scout. From there Aelita had a rather simple time since she was extremely good with technology and anything like it. She also made sure she remained in touch with her best friend Yumi, whom she found out was chosen to become a sentinel.
