This is a good idea for a thread! <3

I enjoyed seeing so, so, so many new memebers (and new-ish) rising up to challenges and exceeding expectations! It was refreshing to see new faces, hear new voices in threads, and get to meet a new generation of ballsies!

I'm also happy to see some user feedback in the threads at the end here. We should share the nice comments that we remember getting for a good confidence boost!

"Thanks everyone for the fun times and great gifts and prizes. This has been one of the all time best balls ever!"

"I have to say, you guys outdid yourselves..! Thank you all so much for making my first User-Run Ball so much fun! Had a blast, and I really, really can't wait for the next one!"

I want to thank everyone who made this ball happen.

I ESPECIALLY want to thank Hillbilly Hikari, who stepped in 3rd day to really help me out.

I want to throw out a special thanks to Gumshoe kid. He really surprised me, and I'm grateful for it. For a 1st year helper you were really awesome.

Mahou, thanks for the graphics. You may not like them, but I did, they were great.

Boiled Watermelon came in last second to cover an empty spot and she did well. Thank you!

I am so glad people enjoyed it! I did not feel like a great main host, but the staff was so amazing with dealing with the wrenches I threw at them. Especially Vi. Vi was absolutely amazing and I'm never not going to be impressed and indebted to her. And Panda who worked his butt off for us year round with funds.

I found it really interesting! It was the first ball I had participated in. Everyone was super welcoming. I was a little confused, because sometimes things were all over the place, but i had lots of fun. And since everyone who joined, aside from the hosts and etc, had no specific character to be, it was great to interact! Overall, it was great, and I hope next year is as fun.
Edit: Also, sometimes i felt a little intimidated to talk to the hosts of the room, since some of them had rp'd with the other hosts. I guess, maybe there should be a little more interaction!

I want to thank Eran for dealing with me. Even though, this was my first year running as a secondary host. I constantly nagged her with pms, because I am OCD. I feel confident I could run a room next year as a main, because of my experience with her. She helped me a lot, and taught me a lot. I was especially grateful to Main, Madame Mae, and Troubled Pasta for being our co-hosts. We had great active co-hosts and that made all the difference for our room. Lastly, I would like to thank our guests, they were pretty swell, and were easy to get along with. I know I stalked some people to enter contests and even they were nice about it.

Suggestions: DO NOT CHANGE THE DATE ONCE IT'S SET! ESPECIALLY A MONTH BEFORE HAND! I absolutely found this frustrating, because I was totally ready in July and then we changed the date to August. I understand priorities, but at the last minute one of our co-hosts could not participate because of this, and that was frustrating. I also lost speed, because, I was like, oh well there is no need for me to do anything now that I have two months left. Our room was one of the few rooms ready in June, so again that was frustrating too. I think whoever the main host is this year needs to set deadlines for all the rooms. That way if a room does drop out, such as Cadenza's we realize this months before hand and not the week or day beforehand.

Thank you Raff heart
And thank you everyone that I shared a room with.
My first time co-hosting with you guys was enjoyable. emotion_hug

I would also like to add to Raff's feedback about the date change that we would have more time to tweak our avatars with all the new items that came out afterward and wouldn't have order art so soon.

You did your best! There's always gonna be things you wish you could have done better. But you were still awesome. Hell, if I had half the ideas I have now a year ago, I would have told you.

Also, you make me feel all squishy inside. o3o

The problems I see are solely from my short experience and personal opinion.

I want there to be a stricter system for crunching out the inactive co-hosts. In Pinkie and Vi's room, two of the co-hosts fell off the face of Earth, and from my knowledge, nobody was told. I feel like there should be a monthly check-in, like just a quick, "hey, I'm here and still willing to participate" in a thread somewhere. If they miss more than two of them, they are dropped from the room, and if they miss the July one (or whichever is the month before the Ball), they are dropped as well.

Mainly, I got slightly annoyed that I spent the time to draw some people's art that were never used, especially considering I was drawing nonstop from morning to the time I go to bed. It kinda made me ask, "why did I even both with those?" You know, so I could've spent more time improving other sketches, lineart, and coloring. I don't regret anything, though, because I enjoyed it all. c:

I would have to agree with Moon. I mean, I volunteered to help because Vi and Pinkie needed help, but when it seems like three of the four active co-hosts were only the ones that volunteered when everyone else poofed, yeah.. Otherwise I enjoyed myself, well, as much as I could without having to go to the hospital. I'd rather not do a repeat of that, actually. sweatdrop

As for suggestions, like Moon said, a check-in system to say hey, we're still here and still participating isn't bad. Also, perhaps making sure that everyone's all right with the date change and can be there, since that seems to be a recurring complaint in the thread. I couldn't say, since I was not actually in that bit until like the very last minute.

Otherwise, I think it went well. Just hopefully I don't have to go to the hospital like I did the last day sweatdrop

I was super worried and stressed over the planning, but as soon as everything got worked out and the ball started, I felt really good!

Would I ever host again? Actually, I probably would. Just not this year. That's be unfair since I won't be able to do much or work as hard. Junior year is the most important after all!

Of course, I have to give a lot of credit to Dai, Robayn, Pinkie, and Usako. You guys helped me out a bunch! Especially when my internet was being a butt. And I think most of you know how often my internet is a butt >.>
