Meeting and acquiring Niflheim her new talking weapon partner wasn't in retrospect as unpleasant as Nellie had initially feared it might be. Sure the brief exchange of words that had taken place entirely in her head was something she would need to get used to, but at least he didn't come across to her as the spiteful sort so that was something she could be thankful for.
Ascending the steps that would take her from the Cove back to where Lilac said she would be waiting for her, she cast her gaze about her, her right hand absentmindedly rubbing the surface of the bracelet that was Niflheim's desummoned form encircling her left wrist.
"L-Lilac? Are you still here?"

"Over here.." Lilac had been waiting just like she said, peeking around the corner she gave Nellie a wave. She knew her cousin would likely want her to go with her during the whole process but that wasn't how things worked. "Hey! How'd it go?" Her eyes went to the bracelet knowing it hadn't been there before and she grinned. Looks like it went well at least, Nellie wasn't in tears, hopefully her partner was better than Aprulz.
<...Shut your mouth.>
Oops. She forgot about him being in her mind, blushing at herself she coughed and went to motion Nellie over. "I'll show you were to go next but I can't go with you much further but after everything is settled, I can help you move into your dorm which will be assigned to you!" Waiting for Nellie to catch up she started off to where Nellie needed to be, along the way telling her about various parts of the island. "Don't worry if you can't remember, I'll be around for you to come to if you need help, ok?" Lilac smiled and paused by the door Nellie needed to be at.
baby_gwing She can't really take her through xD I should have mentioned that buuut you can vague through it and they can meet at Nellie's new dorm to continue! Nellie now will know everything in this thread! Also idk if you have read this lmao but here is it too ow o b

Nellie was all smiles the moment she saw Lilac, crossing over to join her pink-haired cousin as she bashfully lifted her left arm to show her the new bracelet she now had as a result of her meeting in the Cove with Niflheim. "He said that his name is Niflheim. He seems pretty nice. Almost like an older brother that Nellie never had." At the mention of his name, there was a soft rumble of approval from the mostly quiescent presence at the back of her mind. She giggled at Niflheim's reaction, rubbing the bracelet again with her hand as she followed Lilac to where she needed to go next.
"Okie Lilac. Nellie's so very glad that you're here too." It didn't take long for her to be briefed on the essentials really, the historical bits just barely committed to her memory and then they were done with her, the key to her assigned dorm room pressed in her hand before she was whisked out of the room just as another newly awakened trainee made his way in. "They said that Nellie will be assigned to the Mist division and that Nellie will find everything she needs to get started in Nellie's assigned dorm room." She checked the room number on the tag that came with the key that she was given then showed her assigned room number to Lilac. One nine zero.
"So... which division is Lilac in then?"

Lilac gave an approving look to the new addition of Nellie's wardrobe. "Awesome! I'm glad you two are getting along.." There was a distant crackle in her own mind, one that signaled her weapon was near speaking his mind on the matter as well. But ignoring that and as Aprulz started to talk about how naive and nearly mental her cousin sounded, Lilac motioned the other girl towards the dorms. "Great room! I think I know where that is...follow me!" Lilac leaned into Nellie, taking her up under the arm to guide and steal snuggles at.
She missed her family, a lot.
"Oh..well I'm moon, but your division works with everyone! So.." She gave Nellie a prize winning grin, "we will see each other about don't worry ok?" Just in case she was nervous, "and your more than welcome to come to my dorm at any time, for anything!"

"Nellie too." Nellie quipped, the look on her face softening some as she reminised about the past. "Nellie's just glad that Niflheim didn't react to Nellie's speech like the other kids Nellie came across a few years back." That was the main reason why her parents took her out of the mainstream schooling and placed her in home schooling under a personal tutor who was also a family friend. They did everything they could to shelter her from the harsh realities of the real world but those days were over now.
No one in Deus was going to coddle or dote on her the way her parents did. All Nellie had over here now who was the closest to family was her cousin Lilac. She allowed herself a smile at the affectionate snuggles the pink haired huntress was spoiling her with as they started hand in hand towards the dorms to attempt to locate her room.
"Oh... Nellie was kind of hoping that she was in the same division as Lilac here. Nellie supposes that that makes sense since Nellie isn't good at anything that will be useful to the other divisions whereas Lilac's more suited to be in Moon." She was disappointed when she discovered that she and Lilac were assigned to different divisions. She wasn't sure if anything could be done about it however since she highly doubted that any request to transfer division from a newly awoken trainee like herself for the purpose of being with her cousin would be entertained by the higher ups in Deus.

Kids were cruel, humans as a species were. Her cousins words brought a softer look to eye and another snuggle. "He sounds perfect, and if those kids could see you now. Think how jealous they'd be." She smiled and gave the other a stick out of her tongue. It hurt her heart to know what Nellie had been through, Lilac hadn't be there the way Nellie had but she had suffered the horrible thing that was depression.
She knew she shouldn't spoil Nellie, shouldn't, but couldn't help it. It was how Lilac was, she loved to coddle, she had became a baby nurse for crying out loud. But she knew the dangers of protecting Nellie to much and was really trying not to head down that route.
"Please! You are here because, and only because, you are useful. Trust me." She sighed softly for a moment before excitedly pointing ahead, "oh oh ! That's it, and listen here Missy. Your division helps everyone, got it, so you are like..a billion times more useful than me!" She grinned and moved slightly ahead to tap on Nellies dorm. "I'm excited to see what it looks like in here!" baby_gwing ;; sorry this is so late.

"Maybe... or relieved that they don't have to put their lives on the line for the dangerous things that hunters are supposed to do." Nellie murmured, self doubt beginning to creep in as she reflected on the content of the briefing that she had to sit through just minutes ago. While she knew that there was no going back to being a normal human for her now, believing that she had what it would take for her to survive the missions in the days to come was another thing altogether. But then again this was probably the only thing remaining that she was useful for so she might as well make the best out of it.
< That's not true pup and you know it. > Niflheim growled, his disapproval apparent at the thoughts that were going through her mind. < Maybe... > She had almost forgotten about the fact that the fire warg was there and therefore privy to her thought processes. But she was glad to have him as her partner all things considered, giving Lilac's hand a small squeeze as she smiled at her cousin's attempts at cheering her up. "Okie. Nellie will try to look at things that way then Lilac."
There were going to be a great number of things that she would have to adapt to with her new life in Deus and there was no other way around it other than to press on forward either through her own efforts or with the help of others. Slipping the key into the lock, she turned it clockwise twice to unlock the door before pushing it open to reveal the tiny room that had only a bed, a small closet and a desk. It was certainly a far cry from the amount of space she used to have back in her own home but at least it was a place that she could regard as her own.
"It looks... cozy."

She tried not frown at the words, that doubt her cousin had. Instead she hugged her viciously and said, "think positive its all we have around here, but you have me so just remember that!" On a grin she wiggled by the door, peeking around Nellie as it opened to reveal a room not much better than her own. Hearing the word cozy she giggled, "you know what...I have some chalk in my room...we could drawl on the walls like old times?" She grinned and ushered Nellie inside, smiling. "It's nice to have your own place isn't it?" At least that would be a plus right? But just in case Nellie got lonely, she added with a thoughtful hum, "you know some times I get lonely so you might have to sleep in my room with me though."

She couldn't have asked for a better partner than Niflheim, the weapon's words on top of Lilac's finally managing to lift her spirits and bring a smile to her face. "That's true." The small room that was assigned to her, Lilac and Niflheim's companionship were all that Nellie had right now in this new lease of life. But that would change with time as she got to know more people through missions and the course of her training.
"It is. Even if it is smaller than what Nellie used to have prior to coming to this island, it's still Nellie's very own space." She stepped into the room with Lilac, smiling at the activities that her cousin was proposing that they could do together. "Nellie will like that. Is it alright if Nellie sleeps with Lilac tonight?" She was so very glad that it was Lilac who was there in the pod room when she woke up. She wouldn't know what to do with herself or who to approach for help otherwise.
"So what are trainees supposed to do on an every day basis here? Are there classes to attend?"

"That's more than alright! I insist you do!" She giggled happily at the idea, it would be like old times. A sleepover and she knew that it would help her cousin out as well. When Nellie asked what one does she leaned back on the bed, "well, there are missions." Lilac herself hadn't gone on more than one but she knew there were lots posted and other hunters asked frequently for help.
"There are also training courses I'd recommend you doing those, I can take you by them tomorrow when we wake up." Pushing up off the bed she went to take Nellie's hand. "But for now! Let's go get some snacks and head to my room!" They could catch up on normal things and let everything in Nellie's head settle for awhile.
