If/when Gaia stops releasing gold generators and if/when people stop purchasing them, yes. We have some chance of the economy stabilizing, though I don't know if it can ever reach the same levels at which it was one year ago.

Deflate, probably not. Even if Gaia stops putting out generators (which isn't going to happen; everything is on sale all the time, they want as much money as they can get), there's already an insane amount of gold in the economy.
Now, stabilizing? Maybe. If releases and sales slow to a manageable and predictable pace, prices might settle down. GoFusion, dare I say it, was a good step in the direction of equalizing some things for users. Charms (at least heart and star ones) are available for anyone in daily chance. If nothing else, after a week or two someone might be able to craft a cute item from there instead of it being cash-only. Plus, people have the option of selling the charms for pure right away. If nothing else, it gives new and free members a starting point.
But there's no way, no way, that things will go back to how they were before, price-wise.

Yep! About a year ago, before gold generators were first sold, the Marketplace saw about 5 billion in daily transactions. It was healthy, functional, accessible to all, and reliable. Today, we're looking at 150 trillion in daily transactions, and the Marketplace is no longer any of those things. That's a 30,000% increase in Marketplace revenue, and that is reflected in the prices you see. I can't believe that there are people who still defend gold generators.Eliza Victoire only a year ago? bad time for joining then

Honestly, I don't see deflation happening unless Gaia does a rollback like it did years ago.
