When we are reborn into this world it is more then likely in the company of family but for some they are greeted with the cold truth early on. Such a fate was place on Asteria. Born without ever knowing the warmth of her own mother as she passed in child birth and her father died a few mouths into the pregnancy or so its said. With no one to raise this baby Asteria was thrown into an orphanage. If Soul Society is the place souls pass over to from the world of the living, then having a curl life here must be some sort of punishment for things done in their human life, right? Just accepting these events like any human would because you can't change the events in which followed your birth.

Her mother belong once to a noble family that lost their status many years earlier when she herself was just a child. Nyx wanted the life she was meant to have but it was far from her reach. In her teenage years she met Noctis who would be Asteria father. Nyx worked hard to earn money to have a happy life with Noctis but it never seemed like enough. They worked hard to live in a middle class neighborhood but at what coast? Nyx was a 'host' of sorts and Noctis would leave for weeks on end doing what some call, 'bounty hunting.' This very work could have been what killed him. The noble house Nyx belonged to was never restored. The House of the Raven. Everything they worked for was amounted into nothing in the end. How curl.

Zanjutsu | Asteria is very skilled in swordsmanship along with other types of weapon use. Even if she does not carry a blade around herself it comes to no surprise when she can pick up any old blade, stick or shinai and use it perfectly. It is her preferred method of fighting as it is her best. Able to hold her own against Captains and those ranked the same in the basic means of Zanjutsu combat. Practicing everyday to perfecting her skills and to be the best within her ranks. At times shes been forced to take brakes by other squad members in fear that their Captain would collapse.

Hakuda | Without a traditional Seal Zanpakutō it was important for Asteria to learn other means of fighting. A weapon while could be made out of anything her fist were another at her disposal. This wasn't her best meaning in fighting if anything she conceited it her weakest even if Kido was her true weakness. Her skills in Hakuda are that of combatant. While hitting fast and strong her body takes on a different aura when not using a weapon becoming more calm and free flowing. Allowing her body to move freely and not become taken over by her lust for blood. This is why she considers this her weakest fighting style.

Hohō | Hohō is an important skill for most Shinigami, and is one of their four basic fighting styles. The agility and speed of Hohō can be enhanced and improved through concentration, training, and mastery of it. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Onmitsukidō. Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash steps) is the greatest expression of the Hohō technique. Mastering this fighting style Asteria often plays around with her speed in combat. Taunting her enemy and playing around with their senses. It gives her some sort of sick satisfactions when people don't know what the ******** is up.

Durability | While Asteria is not what you would call a 'tanky' fighter she is able to take many blows in combat. If anything she loves when the fight gets turned against her. Gives her more of a reason to fight back. Often seen in plated armor whenever engaged in combat her speed and flexibility allow her to avoid being hit. At times she had been noted to allow hits however she is fighting to get a attack off just so she doesn't have to hold back. Her body is very durable due to the training and many fights she had been through.

Uhhh, you're gonna need to work on your bio ^^; It's not 100% mandatory so you can put it off for later, but make sure that you fill it out. I notice that you mentioned being part of a fallen Noble family. You can apply for one [here] so we have a record of it and maybe we could somehow incorporate it into the guild's background and try to spin something out of it ;P

I am personally not against a sealed zanpakuto in the form of tattoos so long as she cannot bypass the release incantation when going into Shikai. Your character would never be unarmed, but, at the same time, she will not have any physical weapon to protect herself against ambushes and she cannot automatically activate Shikai with a mere thought as a trade-off.

I'm more perplexed by the extra ability listed under Shikai Power-Up. That section was meant to describe what stats have been increased. Usually, Reiatsu power increases as well as speed, but if none of that is there, I'm fine if it is being swapped for an extra ability.

Does the shield appear after she was hit (after the hit landed) to shield her against he next physical attack? or just before it landed? And what do you mean by "damage equal to any physical attack"? Is it the damage of the physical attack that first activated the ability? Because a sharp poke could also be considered a physical attack. What of attacks that are not concussive/cutting? Burn/Freezes?
Is there no way to escape this so long as we are within the 10 yards? Even if we cover our ears/destroy our eardrums?


What is this Cable Step that's mentioned? There's no description of the Bankai's appearance so I'm having a little trouble understanding what you mean by chains and blades. Are they created and pulled out of her tattoos?

The Bankai abilities suggest that she can form 3 different weapons and I want to confirm that she is limited to those three, otherwise, that would be another additional ability.

For the Divisions, the ones canon to the manga are the same, but we decided to allow the captains to create a purpose for any of the divisions that didn't have a specified purpose. If you click View Forum, you can see each Division's purpose and who controls it.

I'm hesitant about it - that sort of falls under 2nd Division's covert ops, and I normally wouldn't take issue, but pretty much everything besides that has been taken - 10th has taken imprisonment, 9th has taken intelligence gathering and transmission as well as security, the whole Interrogation and Punishment is all that 2nd Division has left.
