[ Stew-ed ]When she woke up, Shu was in the infirmary, next to her was her best friend, still closing her eyes but seemed having a nightmare. The girl immediately pulled the blanket to fully covered herself, curled in the darkness provided. She could still remember the mindless boiling rage even her body was as cold as ice, the pains from the battle were all gone, but not that in her heart. 「Go away!」 That was what she said to her before she flung Noemi away as if she was something unwanted, she treated the one that she called best friend like nothing. She broke the precious doll that she cherished so much with her hands, she took away the smile of her and gave her heart the unforgivable scar - she hurt her friend, Noemi. No matter how small it was. Pathetic. It was not something she would wipe away from the memories of both, she wished it never happen but it did. Shu couldn't even muster the courage to apologize to Noemi, she was afraid to speculate what her reaction would be. The girl had thought of many many possibilities but neither one of them was a good one. That was why she left without even saying a goodbye. ------------------ Note: 「 & 」are Chinese version of quotation marks, to show she was in a confused and miserable state.

[ Escapism ]She went back to her room, and threw herself onto her bed. The mission replayed one after another in her mind, like daggers stabbed into her heart again and again. If someone could see, they would be shocked to find Shu resembled a pretty soulless doll, being laid on the bed, the amber eyes didn't hold any light as if she was blind. She wasn't looking at anything and barely blinking, Z's voice didn't reach her soul and all the things seemed so erroneous. When did it go wrong?Like a criminal forced to self-defense, she tried to figure out the tiny clues that might change the crime she committed, obliterating it from the truth. It was invalid. It wasn't a fantasy world that she longed for, no magic she could cast to do so, no matter how many times she recalled the details. It was flawless. Burdened with the cruel truth and the helplessness from her feeble endeavour, the girl buried her face into the softness comfort of her blanket. The doll closed the eyelids. Maybe when she waked up, she was no longer a dolly in this false world, her sisters will come and give her a warm hug, asking with a soft darling voices of what she dreamed of.

[ Confabulation ] ......" Oh my. I didn't expect you to come so early. I haven't finish my dessert yet, damn!." The voice sounded with surprise before Shu woke up by the noise of spoon dropping on the ground. It was her, the young girl she met in her dream before, or she should call it a nightmare. " Well, well, how are you gonna compensate me this time?" She asked forcefully with an unhappy tone. The girl jabbed the table idly impatiently, " Are you gonna stand there forever? Even if you want, I don't, it's tired for my neck if I look at you like that. Take your seat quick." "......Where am I?" " You know it. Why do you come?." "...You..know..the reason..." " God, I'm not continuing this "word game"~" The girl waved. " So you need help." It was a sentence, not a question. "I am not strong enough, I can't protect the people I love..." " Are you kidding? Don't you know it from the start?" The girl made a shocked frown at Shu, crushing a hard candy lollipop into half. Crack. " Well. You did a pretty fair job already, silly." She grinned evilly. " But I'm sure I will do better. Much better." She said lazily but dragged the part she stressed when she leaned forward. The conversation between a sad girl and another girl who crushed the candies with an uninterested expression continued, hands on cheeks, but no one could hear any further as the girl shot a death glare, just the sound of the candies. Crack.

[ Devil's whisper ]
"That's stupid, just break ███ up." She said, shooting Shu a disdaining look. "If someone makes you sad, just drag them down with you. Don't you think ███ is too fake and disgusting."
"I can't. I won't hurt anyone. ███ is nice to me."
"NICE? Nice, you say? Oh please." She snorted. "You should go and check your eyes. Maybe your mind too."
"That's why you have to keep all the pains and hurt so badly, you care too much of others, too little yourself, that's so damn stupid, bunny."
"But don't we all like that? - Love and protect the one we love, take the damage for them."
"It's disgusting and fake."
"Is it? But I feel so warm to be with them...."
"Are you sure? The "them" include "them"? I don't think so, all I see is you being hurt. The "them" only covers from your sisters and brother, who responded your love with love back." The girl shrugged carelessly, waving the candy about to face the same fate as its comrades.
"Maybe you're right. You are too weak. Weak in physical body and weak in here." She poked at her chest. "You'll never be stronger if you don't act more selfish." A pair of hands slowly slid down Shu's shoulder as she heard the whisper.

[ Deal ]
"So - you want to be as strong as me? Alas, the truth is you can never be me. You are you, and I am I. You can never ever be strong like me, and I will never be innocent as you do." The girl appeared in front of her and laughed cruelly.
"I don't know what I should do? Please tell me, how I can protect them?" Shu desperately begged for the answer.
"Do what you was doing, being kind and sweet, continue to cherish your friends and such. Don't change. And -" She paused, pulling Shu backward and locked her within her hug. "I will do my part."
She said softly with an artful smile.

[ A storyteller ]
"Let me tell you a story." She said.
The space was full of girly decorations, as sweet as desserts, if you can ignore the plushies hung from the ceiling by their necks. It couldn't be called a room because you can't see the end of it, a girl was waving her legs back and forth on a swing, apparently too short to reach the ground.
"Long long time ago, there was a beautiful mermaid-" She began to tell the story with her lighthearted voice. "She has shiny blonde hair and her scales were of the white color of pearl." The girl gave a sliver laugh.
"Many wanted to own the mermaid, but the mermaid belonged to two cats." The girl said with dropping tone. "One has blond furs and blue eyes while another has reddish brown coat and blue eyes. They guarded the mermaid thoroughly. Can't blame them, cats love fish is a nature." She giggled and shrugged.
"Yet, the beautiful mermaid looking for freedom continue to lure more cats-AH! It's dessert time, let continue next time." The swing went high up with the girl but a black sleek cat landed in elegance.
"Cats love fish, right?" The cat disappeared into the darkness.
