The Guardian's record show that:
Allissi was born in Den walls to the last two friendly Aquoses known. The rest are neutral, living in the ocean. As such, her family was heavily discriminated against for their peoples ambivalence, and when she studied, she occasionally had to be separated for fear that the others would take training too far. Even those who volunteered to be a compeer often waited to find a different partner. Finally, someone named Ox agreed, probably because he wasn't originally going to be a compeer. Now though, they have said to have 'moments' where they can communicate with each other through thought. It was eventually found that it was due to her brain waves automatically matching people she is around a lot, allowing communication with focus and the aid of the connection the chip provided. This is more effective with her own kind, where they could communicate in large groups underwater as their brain waves would often be matched from birth. She can swim for long periods of time before coming up for air, and is known to harbor a special kindness towards animals from watery areas. However, she generally stands out and has to use a camouflage unit in public, and is not as strong as humans, thus why she became an assassin.
